classic yo-kai are deeply confusing because given that they were around 60 years ago that implies any yo-kai that existed OVER 60 years ago is ALSO a classic yo-kai. so with that logic we have stuff like whisper, komasan n komajiro being classic yo-kai as well as literally ANY yo-kai you can find in old springdale/harrisville being a classic yo-kai. so like 90% of yo-kai are classic yo-kai n the other 10% are some yo-kai that don't seem to be species (i.e. jibanyan n usapyon) n also random assorted yo-kai that just aren't in the past-

Okay, so I may be behind by a good few years, and I may also be very silly, but yo-kai watch 2 looks really really cool! I’ve never played any of the three games, and have only watched LPs, but so far I’m obsessed with them! WAHH

Wow guys, I had no idea no one else talks about this Yo-Kai Watch episode! They actually did make Kuchisake Onna a character, the form of Ingrin. Apparently she’s another classic Yokai, so I’m just worried Whisper is gonna screw up the rules of encountering her-

Tired of the same ole' creatures munching on your preys? Need some ideas for a new pred oc? Then you've found the right post!

Welcome to Carn is a nerd and knows a lot of man eating monsters!

Starting off with the classics, we've got: Giants, werewolves, naga, and dragons! Might I suggest different kinds of giants! We have a variety: cloud, frost, fire, storm, and hill and all the others from that lovely tabletop game, but have you heard of Fomorians? Next off, werewolves! Gotta love them, but maybe you're a tad tired of the wolfish features? What's stopping you from making any other kind of lycanthrope! Weretiger? Wereshark (may he rest in peace)? Werecroc? Heck, anything can be a wonderful pred cursed to transform under the moonlight.

Moving on, let's mention some new ones! Ghouls, a creepy undead creature that devours flesh of both dead and living! Driders, a wonderfully terrifying mixture of human and spider! Or what of their lesser known, equally scary, and quite naga-esk friends: Oomukade! A human upperhalf with the long body of a Centipede?

Taking from my own pfp, a Peryton! Mixture of bird and stag with a penchant for human hearts! Another goodie, Oni! ogre-esk Yo/kai that, while some may be good, also have a craving for humans! Slimes are always a good choice: so many fun colors and so malleable!

Vampiric creatures are always fun, but there's a million different ones! From Aswang and Pennanengal more gruesome ones, to Jiangshi the hopping vampire and Baku the nightmare eaters!

Special shout out to Yara-Ma-Yha-Who that are literally small red men that devour humans whole!

Rakshasa are tiger-men with backward hands known to eat people!

Dinosaurs, especially the carnivorous ones? Top tier. Didn't chew. Along that line, pterodactyls and pelicans? Birds like to eat prey whole.

Don't forget Mimics! A shapeshifting creature hidden in plain sight? And merfolk! Can't imagine a hungry shark mer would pass up some prey, now would they?

The Hydra? Many heads=many mouths. I'm just saying.

Bottom line is, many things can make good preds.

I suggest looking into mythology, our ancestors created a lot of monsters that like to eat people. Just make sure to learn about the creatures you're using.

And as for animal preds, I always make them humanoid or have the ability to transform into the creature- (having straight up animal preds might be considered kinda weird, especially if sexualized and I do not condone.)

Cole When I’m angry or want an intense workout, I’ll listen to hard rock.

The cello provides escape.

Beauty. A soothing balm when I feel stressed or anxious. Playing the cello requires my full attention, and the music understands feelings I can’t find words for.

I bend over the cello, eyes pressed closed and fingers on thick strings. My bow twists up to complete a glissando as muffled laughter and shouting drifts down the hall. I ignore it—you learn very quickly how to do that when you live with four other roommates—and continue playing. Today has been a particularly difficult day, and I want to lose myself in classical concertos.

“Yo, dude,” a familiar voice says outside my bedroom door before a flash of red waltzes in.

I sigh and still the bow, mentally kicking myself for not shutting my door all the way. Not that that would matter. Kai doesn’t respect closed doors.

“You can keep playing. Ignore me,” Kai says, and he flops onto my bed, tapping away at his phone.

“So generous of you,” I respond. I don’t even have to glance over to know what Kai looks like stretched across my bed—the graceful arch of his shoulder, the slope of his nose, the angles of his jaw, and of course that perfect mess of dark hair.

For the millionth time, I wish Kai wasn’t so heartbreakingly beautiful. Maybe then I wouldn’t feel the impossible things I do.

I finally venture a quick look over at Kai and watch as his mouth stretches into a smile at something on his phone. That smile makes my heart skip two beats.

I swallow, struck yet again at how utterly fucked I am.

Because I’m in love with Kai.

Hopelessly, impossibly in love with him.

good day yo kai watch tumblr. today i bring my ramblings about aesthetics i think fit each of the bbq trio and why, please enjoy. (im so normal im so normal im so normal im so normal im so normal im so normal) (all images here taken from pinterest,)

starting of with Nate

one of the main aesthetics i see fitting him is Dark Academia

generally it has blacks grey browns and other dark colors such as reds and some shades of blue. i feel like him with dark academia with pops of red in like jewelry or other accessories really fit him.

fill to a more down to earth probs in a coffee shop having a surprisingly sweet or black like his soul coffee while studying English or something.

classic, red, autumn, and light academia do also fit him.

falling into the autumn aesthetic makes me think he would genuinely enjoy pumpkin spice lattes and learn the make them as home with one of those fancy coffee and espresso makers because he wishes it wasn't seasonal.

another aesthetic i feel works is the whole lofi aesthetic, this one fits even if you see him with bight and cheerfull or dark and moody colors like i do. mabyes it just the idea of him working on a laptop he got for school on a cold winters day while listening to fresh lofi beats for the spiritual and then jibanyan just sits on his laptop, but whatever.

also want to mention like ANYTHING WITH STARS, like that fucker probably has stars on basically everything he owns so it would be wrong of me to not mention him and his star supremacy.

HOOOOO BOY. this girl has probably been through so many phase. and is constantly changing up her aesthetic each day like jesus christ. so im just gona fast round these with hopefully small explanations.

Pastel Goth

dark and spooky yet colorful and kawaii i think perfectly fits her. her base fit is already kinda pastel yet less soft so ye. and if she had to go through a goth phase itd be this.

yami kawaii

which translate to sickly cute is basically yume kawaii with more emphasis on dark themes and color. i think a good example of this is internet overdose. its in a similar vein to pastel goth with her. just more medical.

weird/dreamcore

commonly associated with stuff like object heads, the backrooms, its one i dont feel like needs and explanation. shes simply just weird. another aesthetic in a same enough bein is glitchcore which as a lot of neon colors swirled together and ofc glitchyness.

another one is webcore.

so think like old windows lawn background, old internet, and general retro tech. its and inspo for vaporwave which is another aesthetic that fits inaho.

lastly bard core, honestly all i really have to say for this is, she would just be a rizzless bard in DnD.

and finally that buck boy

so lets get this out the way,

KIDCORE IS MY NUMBER 1 AESTHETIC FOR HIM,

bright rainbow colors, just, yes. and a lot of kidcore fashion i see includes overalls so it just, fits.

in a softer sense cottage core also fits,

i mean, i think he'd be the kid whod get those fake vines and put them up in his room to feel like a woodland creature. and he'd absolutely get a mushroom hat and nobody can change my mind. also elf ears, i tihkn that falls in with cottagecore and similar aesthetics.

lastly for buck ill go over skater aesthetic

the fashion kinda falls into grunge i think but honestly buck would skate or i guess try and skate. he thinks its cool and will make nate think he's even color so he tries to learn.

but in general i think the idea of him with really baggy pants and big graphic tees just pleases my mind.

and to finish off here are some honorable aesthetics for buck:

hipster core, moss core, web core, cabin core, those woodland creature aesthetics, cryptic core, alien core, and just anything with sunflowers.

Ratboy Genius

Say all you want about this series. We get that many of you think it's from "the weird part of YouTube", but I think it's strangely adorable in a way. The character concepts are really zany, the plots are cool, and the musical numbers are pretty silly! Ratboy Genius might look souless at first, but you'll see how wonderful it is if you get into it.

Merman in My Tub

This series is actually pretty neat, and no, it's not a BL. The characters are just friends, okay? I've watched the anime, and I've read one book of the manga, and I have to say it's also pretty silly. My favorite characters are Agari the shy shark and Echizen the mean ol' crab. I've always wanted to see an anime or manga where it's about a bunch of monster boys hanging out, so this is the right thing for me!

Mega Man

Ah yes. The Blue Bomber himself. I've known a lot about the classic series, but I love the other incarnations of Mega Man just the same. I love cool robot stuff, so of course would like Mega Man, right? Also, I tried to beat the original Mega Man games one time, but I kept on dying and dying. Poor me.

Yo-Kai Watch

No, it's not a Pokemon clone. Yo-Kai watch is amazing because I think the monster designs can get real imaginative sometimes! I hate to admit it, but I'm kind of a "genwunner" when it comes to this series; I'm not particularly fond of Shadowside or Academy Y, but I do like how Shadowside expands the lore. In my opinion, Yo-Kai watch is more entertaining than Pokemon, and maybe I should play one of its games someday!

Anything Osamu Sato related

LSD Dream Emulator, Eastern Mind, Roly Polys, YOU NAME IT! The works of Osamu Sato are psychedelic and mesmerizing, and I've even listened to a lot of his albums back then.

Yo-kai that are considered classic yokai are yokai that were around when yokai medals were first created. Any yokai who died/was born/or whatever before then arent considered classic yokai because medals weren't created yet and there's no reason to classify yokai. Or at least thats how i headcanon it

fair n i guess that makes whisper not being a classic yo-kai make sense (since he was in the crank-a-kai at that point. which i just realized, how does he know about yo-kai medals then???) but. komasan n komajiro were existent when yo-kai medals were first made presumably. so. they should still logically be classic yo-kai-

Tales from Tattletell. Our heroes meet Tattletell, who makes people reveal their secrets.

Puppynyan training. Amanda meets Puppynyan, a Yo-Kai who’s half dog and half cat.

Let sleeping hogs lie. Dorie meets Slumberhog, who made everyone doze off.

Blizzaria blows. Ellie encounters Blizzaria, who makes things very snowy and cold.

Toiletta terror. Amanda hears the story of a grade 1 school girl who was flushed down the toilet to death and became a Yo-Kai named Toiletta.

See ya later, OMGator. Our heroes meet OMGator, a Yo-Kai who makes people shout OMG in surprise, even when there isn’t anything surprising happening at all.

Epic Failian. Failian appears and makes people play pranks. Can Amanda stop him?

Going for a Walkappa. Amanda was watching Molly swim around when she meets Walkappa.

Who, where, Wazzat? Our heroes encounter the Yo-Kai named Wazzat, who bites peoples heads and feeds on their memories, making them forget things.

Containing Copperled. The Yo-Kai known as Copperled is slithering around, inspiriting people and making them act all bossy.

Getting Cricky with it. The gang encounters a frog Yo-Kai called Cricky. He inspirits people and makes them get cricks in their necks.

A furry situation. Furgus & Furdinand, the two classic Yo-Kai are going about the town, making hair grow.

Proud to be an Apelican. It’s the Fourth of July and our heroes meet Apelican.

Tricking and treating Dracunyan. It’s Halloween and the scary cat Yo-Kai Dracunyan is on the prowl.l, inspiriting people by biting them and making them look like him.

A skeletal situation. Our heroes want to win the prizes they want in the capsule machines at the markets. But 3 giant skeleton Yo-Kai named Gutsy Bones, Goldy Bones and Glitzy Bones are making it somewhat hard.

Naughty Nummskull. The Yo-Kai known as Nummskull is rattling his skull, making things break.

The Cornfused maze. Our heroes meet Cornfused, who makes people confused.

Buhu to you. The gang encounters Buhu, a Yo-Kai who causes bad luck.

One thousand loose screws. The team encounters B3-NK1, a powerful robot Yo-Kai who breaks machines and steals their screws. Not just any screws, but the crucial ones they make the machines work.

Double the robot cats. Our heroes meet Robonyan and Robonyan F, who compare their abilities to Jibanyan.

Intro Post I guess!

Hi! I'm Void. Any pronouns are fine (questioning and for privacy purposes, use whatever pronouns you like). I've been around for a while (since maybe 2015/16? But my interests have changed over time), finally caved and made an account. Over 18, don't want to give my exact age but college-aged.

Content on this blog will focus on the following:

-Mega Man (primarily Classic, X series, Archie Comics verse, and Fully Charged, maybe a little bit of Battle Network). #Mega Man tag will be used for everything, #Archie Mega Man for comics-specific posts, #MMX for X-series, #MMFC or #Mega Man Fully Charged for Fully Charged. Will try to use #MM Classic for anyone who wants to filter for only those posts, but might miss something.

-Other robot games! Currently really into Robopon. Also: Bomberman, Vectorman, and various indie or more obscure games that might pop up on occasion (Hookbots, Blade Ballet, ). Will be tagged with the title and relevant character tags.

-Arthropods! If you have a bug/spider phobia, probably best to avoid my blog unless you're, like, really invested in the other topics, as I might slip up occasionally with tagging. Will try to tag bug/arthropod content with #insects, #spider (for content involving spiders or spider-looking things like ricinulei), a general #arthropods tag if you don't like any of them, and more specific tags on request (send me an ask!). Pokemon posts that fit these criteria will be tagged #Bug Pokemon to keep them out of the main tags.

-Cephalopods will be tagged #octopus, #squid, etc.

-Maybe some snakes, amphibians. Will be tagged #snakes, #amphibians, or #frog.

**If characters that don't immediately appear to need a content tag due to being anthro and cartoony (ex: Snake Man, Animal Crossing frog villagers) are triggering to you, please let me know!!** Horror-themed art/etc. (for instance, a picture of Snake Man surrounded by a large amount of snakes) will still be tagged with the relevant tags regardless.

-Transformers? Got back into multiple continuities this past year. Not sure if I count as part of the fandom or how much I'll be posting about them, I just think they're neat.

-Miitopia. Will post access code later on, all miis that aren't personal or unfinished should be downloadable.

Less frequent stuff that will probably show up: Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Stardew Valley, Yo-Kai Watch, Kirby, etc., TTRPG stuff. Might make a sideblog for writing/homebrew at some point.

This blog should be mostly sfw, but will probably occasionally include content tagged #robo gore/#robot gore, #horror, #eyestrain, etc., as well as ship art (safe for work.. but probably embarrassing to be caught looking at).

I do some art, trying to improve, but I'm allergic to finishing anything (and my sketch layer is in hot pink) so I'm not sure how much I'll post.
