I remember waking up upside down in the funhouse, and falling to my death.
The scrolls of my recollection run far and wide throughout the history of the space time continuum...
Gundam: I know how the universe was created and how it will end. I can perceive the very essence of the past, present and future. My tale ends with me attempting to secure the rampaging beasts with my own dark circle with the spell, "Chronosis", and spared my Devas from the onslaught. But they proved to be more formidable than I gave that Monochromatic devil credit for.
And so while my mortal body was battered, I arose to the heavens in a glorious spectacle on the battlefield. And here I stand today like a phoenix rising from the ashes in a glorious and grand inferno!

Housemarque has released Returnal update 3.0 (3.000) for PS5 players. According to the official Returnal 3.0 patch notes, the latest Returnal Ascension update added new Co-op mode and Tower of Sisyphus mode. Apart from this, today's Returnal patch 3.000 also includes various bug fixes and changes.
Previously, a major update added new changes, fixes, quality of life improvements, and more.
Unfortunately, players are facing various graphic and audio problems with the game. Today's Returnal version 3.000 will fix a few of these issues.

New Features
Co-op Mode
Using the Chronosis portal lets you summon a second Selene from another timeline, so now you can combine forces with a friend and face the dangers of Atropos together. You have the choice of joining or hosting a public session, or alternatively hosting a private session.
Progression is tied to the host, but the client players who join a session will be able to keep some of the process they make - such as collecting logs and xenoglyphs - and they’re able to level up their Scout Rank based on how many players they help by joining a session.
In co-op mode the world of Atropos has been rebalanced, so Returnal remains the treacherous experience you know and love.
Note that the Tower of Sisyphus, House sequences and Daily Challenge are not available in Co-op Mode.
Tower of Sisyphus - Survival mode
True to our arcade roots, the Tower of Sisyphus brings an endless survival mode in Returnal. You strive to ascend the tower as high as possible, chasing a high score by increasing and keeping up your score multiplier, until Selene meets her demise in the hands of the many hazards of the Tower.
You make your way up the Tower of Sisyphus in phases, and each phase will lead up to a battle against the new boss, Algos. While there are optional routes and secrets to be found, in the Tower the emphasis is on survival, skill, and focused progression.
The Tower of Sisyphus brings new levels, new special weapons and a new boss, but also continues the story of Selene as you climb the Tower.

Added quality-of-life improvements
Returnal Ascension DLC update 3.0 Release Time and Date
Returnal patch 3.0 will release on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022. The update will go live around 4AM PT / 7AM ET / 11AM GMT.

Doctor Who mini rant
Just once I'd like another good renegade Time Lord like Professor Chronosis in the show again, not just The Master and the Doctor. They could be on their last incarnation and die in the episode for all I care, but the Doctor and the TARDIS need someone who won't try to kill them every two seconds.
(For those unaware Professor Chronosis is an older Time Lord who appeared in the story Shada)
