Heyo! 5, 28, and 29?
Thank you, dear!! 💙
5. Favorite Words? Ohhhh. This is a fun question. Embrace, loyalty, contempt, literature, pundit, solace, admissible, and hope. 28. Do you believe in magic? I don’t believe in magic in the literal fantasy sense. I don’t think any of us need to go to Hogwarts or anything. But, I guess I do believe in small magics if that makes any sense. Like some people have that one friend who always makes the best hot chocolate, who can always remember everyone’s name, or who always makes the room feel warmer with their presence. I believe in things and people being magical 29. Favorite book? This is the hardest question because I have many favorite books. I guess I’ll make a short list. Well … a long list. I’ll try to keep it short. I’ll leave out my favorite manga and graphic novels. That should help. I put a read more link in so people don’t have to view my list
Crime and Punishment by Fyodor DostoyevskyBattle Royale by Koushun Takami The Hunt for Red October by Tom Clancy (this one is a recent addition to my list)The Stories of Ibis by Hiroshi Yamamoto The Lord of the Sands of Time by Issui Ogawa The Harry Potter Series by J.K. RowlingThe Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth NixYukikaze by Chohei KambayashiHowl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne JonesThe Sight by David Clement-DaviesFirebringer by David Clement-DaviesForever War by Joe Haldeman The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas AdamsOn Hallowed Ground: The Story of Arlington National Cemetery by Robert M. PooleEmpire by Orson Scott Card (I liked the book before I found out he was an ass)Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card (Again I liked the book before I found out he was a bigot) Age of Fire Series by E.E. KnightThe Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle

Yukikaze author Chohei Kambayashi and his beloved cat, Vitanya, will appear in the NHK broadcast “Nekomentary” on May 18. It is a short documentary program that depicts the lives of Japanese authors and their cats. [source]
In 2005, Vitanya appeared on his front porch as a stray cat. About 17 years later, she has been living as a member of the family in Nagano prefecture.

The first ever publication of Yukikaze in the November 1979 issue of SF Magazine. In the beginning, it had not yet become a serialised work - thus, the title is different. It is the second-to-last title to the right. [source]

5, 12, 15, 29.
Thank you for these!! 5. Favorite Words? I answered this one, but I’ll copy and paste my response here!! Embrace, loyalty, contempt, literature, pundit, solace, admissible, and hope. 12. What are your favorite names? This is an interesting question. I’m really fond of all of my friend’s names because I associate the name with my favorite people (Savannah, Heather, Jen, Katrina, Xavier, Joey, Nat, etc). But, if I’m not picking names that are my friend’s names I’ll go with Godric, Anita, Sophia, and Miriam 15. Last song you listened to? I am currently listening to The Tower by Keiichi Okabe (Nier Automata) 29. Favorite book? I answered this one as well, but I’ll copy and paste my responses here as well!! Similiar to the other ask, I’ll add a read more so people don’t have to deal with the list

To him, tears were simply a bodily necessity, the fluid that protected his eyes and allowed him to see. Nothing more. Emotions knew no place in combat. Therefore, he knew no sadness.
Chōhei Kambayashi,
Yukikaze

I love how the robotic/unmanned fighters think nothing of sacrificing "non-essential" personnel to save the fighter pilots. They touch on it in the anime, but in the books there are entire subplots devoted to it. The humans know they need the unmanned fighters to fight the war... but at the same time, the never know what they're going to do. It's like they've become monsters. Even the pilots themselves are pretty much terrified of them half the time.
