I Wanted More
For a drama that almost has nothing much going on, these 8 episodes flowed through very quickly. Despite the lack of drama, it is one of the more binge-able BL dramas out there. Moreover, the twist, that revelation in the last episode, I did not see that coming considering this was such a feel-good BL, I like the surprise the twist gave me.
Of course, although I thought this show flowed smoothly and the ending felt like it came at the right time, I kind of wanted more from this show. Maybe with 'more', the transition from a Yeo Woon that had negative fondness towards Myung Ha to a Yeo Woon who liked Myung Ha would not feel so abrupt. Neither would the rather horrific system errors in the second last episode feel so stifling.
With that said, yes I want more but only because I want more of Myung Ha and Yeo Woon, I like their chemistry. It wasn't too lovey dovey but it was still innocently cute. I wouldn't have minded if we saw more of Sang Won as well, his character development was random but I like a reformed bully, one who's really a golden retriever but only became an asshole due to childhood neglect.
In conclusion, in spite of a little dark tone near the end of the drama, Love for Love's Sake is quite a feel-good show.

I don’t like boy groups enough to fully appreciate this video, especially since anything involving TOO/TO1 just reminds me that Woonggi isn’t in that group anymore (once upon a time, TOO was a boy group I thought I could get into, and Woonggi was the member who caught my eye). So why post the video here? I was scrolling through my subscriptions today, mildly annoyed at all the Boys Planet signal dances I had to wade through, when one thumbnail stopped me in my tracks:
I've been obssesed with the Mafia game for years, so I was really excited when this sort-of-adaptation was announced. But tbh, it's nothing extraordinary. While it's very fun and it keeps you glued to the screen, it's also very silly. What's more, pretty much all the characters are incredibly dumb and frustrating. Although I have to say that's part of what makes the show fun. You just can't help but stick around to see how these characters mess things up even more. Hell, they make so many stupid decisions that I actually found myself screaming at the TV more times than I'd like to admit. Some of the twists did catch me by surprise, but the ending was... not good. I had already guessed the writer would pull something like that, but it was actually worse than I expected. Anyway, Night Has Come isn't good, but I had a fun watching it and it kept me entertained, so that's something.
In light of the news that Cha Seo Won and Uhm Hyun Kyung are getting married, I am celebrating by listening to the soundtrack from The Second Husband to reminisce my fond memories of Yoon Jae Min and Bong Sung Hwa from the drama.

Long. 150 episodes long, was a daily drama so it was stretched out……Also the drama is a full on makjong type meaning it’s absolutely crazy off the wall, highly melodramatic. For me it was highly addicting even though half of the characters were bat shit crazy. It’s definitely more watchable if you skim (fast forward) through a lot of the episodes. Each one was like 28 min long, I made it like 15 min long. Storyline has a lot of a rinse and repeat cycle. It’s fun if you like these type of dramas but it definitely won’t be for everyone. Chemistry is lovely especially with the main leads. On a fun tidbit, in real life they got married and just had a baby together.
