You want to know what we don’t talk about enough?

Simon had the balls to go up and sing a solo after every single person in that hall (adults and students alike) had watched his sex tape. Literally all of them have seen it, and know it’s him, and know it’s wille, and know that wille denied Simon. They all know.

And Simon sings a solo.

Say what you will about Simon, but no one can deny that this boy had balls.

I don't want to see a single damn person laughing about this picture again and I'll tell you why:

Wilhelm is fighting a panic attack. He is actively battling every ounce of anxiety in his body. He cannot have a panic attack right now. He is on the phone with The Royal Court explaining (albeit not effectively) that he does not want to be King. He does not want to give a speech. He does not want this title. And, yes, this realization and the willingness to call stemmed from stupid teenage bullshit like his ex being out on a date with someone else, but it's a truth nonetheless. Wilhelm is telling the truth. And it makes him anxious.

When you have severe anxiety, it often feels like you are not in control of your body at all. You want to climb out of your skin. We see it with Wilhelm in season 1 when he bangs on his head or picks at his nails. He cannot control it.

In season 2 we see it with his shirt collar, we see it in his inability to keep still, and in the fact that he literally throws up at the thought of talking in front of his classmates. So, yes, getting on the desk was odd and unexpected, but he's actively pushing down years of anxiety. He has been fighting this phone call for years and now he cannot ignore it anymore.

Edvin did a spectacular job with Wilhelm's anxiety this season. He did amazing last season, too, but this is next level. Seeing people laugh at this screenshot makes me physically sick.

There was a Hillerska conspiracy to get Wilmon back together, right? Cuz like…

It was obvious they cheated on the run. No one said a word.

It was obvious Simon’s song was about Wille. No one said a word.

Simon used Wilhelm’s phone at that first party to talk to Sara. No one said a word.

They talked to each other at that party, and talked to people together. No one said a word.

The girls kept trying to figure out the nature of their relationship “was it a one night stand or…?”

They ended up having the last two seat next to each other in class like 4 times. Once makes sense, but FOUR TIMES? People are actively doing that at this point.

Wilhelm på bordet happened, and everyone watched Simon leave upset. No one said a word.

Simon very angrily pelted Wille with a dodge ball after said på bordet scene. No one said a word.

Wilhelm started to come out, and the professional cameras stopped rolling, so every single student pulled out their cellphone to film it instead.

There was a conspiracy there. The Hillerska student body wanted them together.

Teen Titans Drabble #1

Just a short story to dump here while I get moving with the bigger things later. Feel free to ignore me for I am a poor petal.

Summary: Kyd Wykkyd really should’ve changed his password to keep that cyclops freak of a roommate from snooping through his messages.

Shiiiiiiiit.

Stuck in a massive floating eyeball Elliot looked down and hissed, the hairs on the back of his neck jolting upwards as if electrified while his forked tongue flickered angrily through pointed fangs. Below him See-More smirked waving Kyd’s cellphone tauntingly before shuffling through the rest of a now exposed camera roll.

“Oooh body shots!” The one eyed boy broke out in laughter, “Who you trying to impress with your scrawny pale ass?”

“Shut up!” Elliot snarled as he pounded on the inner walls with balled fists, “I might be pale, but my ass is THICC!”

Seymour rolled his eye as continue to scroll.

“Yeah sure, I don’t need two eyes to tell that when you bend over it’s like folding paper.”

Flushing darkly Kyd gave him the double bird, “Fuck you.”

“Only if you pay me.” See-More said with a sly smile.

(He found the messenger app.)

“Hell no.”

“Your lost then,” The cyclops muttered as he began checking each opened chat. Nothing there, just crime stuff, boring, boring, no, no, ew gross Mammoth’s selfie from Taco Bell’s bathroom crime scene, oh-wait? Yes!

Seymour’s eyebrow lifted as he grinned deviously. Turning to his trapped teammate he asked, “Who’s Joey?”

Elliot felt his blood run cold. Sweat began beading from under his cowl as he resumed slamming himself into the sphere.

“None of your fucking business! Now let me out!”

“Uh-uh. No way! Not until you tell me who this guy is and why you’re sending him kiss-y face emojis- HOLD UP! IS THAT A DIC-”

“NO! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!”

See-More practically scream laughing to the point of hyperventilation gasped heavily as he continued to blurt out what he saw.

“OH MY GOD YOU SENT HIM A PICTURE OF YOUR-”

The phone started vibrating and both boys went silent.

“NO HE’S CALLING AHHHHHH DON’T ANSWER!” Elliot swore as he kicked and struggled inside the eyeball, “WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHIT MADE OUT OF? WHY THE EVER LOVING FUCK-NUGGETS CAN I NOT POOF OUT? I’M POOFING BUT NOT OUT? SEYMOUR STOP! DON’T ANSWER IT OR I SWEAR TO ALL THINGS HOLY I WILL LITERALLY BECOME YOUR OWN PERSONAL SLEEP PARALYSIS DEMON! DID YOU HEAR ME? PUT THE PHONE DOWN!!!”

Wheezing so hard he was almost asphyxiating See-More clicked ‘Answer Call.’

“...You bitch.”

On the other end a soft voice echoed out, “I’m a what?”

Falling to his knees Seymour delved into breathless cackling just as the eyeball bubble burst freeing Kyd. Snatching the phone faster than Kid Flash hitting on Jinx the teen quickly mumbled, “Sorry babe, you ain’t a bitch but I’m bout to be murdering one soon. Call you back in twenty. Love you.”

“What? Murdering? Wait-”

Ending the call Elliot towered over See-More the shadows around him pooling at his feet.

“Time to die.”

In the self-sabotaging mind of Simon, light is his sole companion and guide. From the flashes of a camera revealing the inner darkness and the glowing cellphone screen with text messages left by his mother, to flares, then lantern, and right up to the serene morning rays of Kirkville upon the escape from the atrocities of night, doom, and gloom. I mean, in a game this dark, any source of light is literally the only way not to get lost.

Speaking of light properties in the mod, the player's camera here is also rich in various optical effects and filters such as blur and film grain, as well as notably the notorious hall of mirrors effect which is very prominent here, since the game is based on the GoldSource engine, and getting the most out of it.

Having grown from Afraid of Monsters and fine-tuning some of its ideas, Cry of Fear could be considered one of the most profound works of the modding scene. For me, however, it's the absolute pinnacle of independent development as a whole, blurring the lines between a mod and a full-fledged game. After all, Team Psykskallar provided entirely new imagery, gameplay and atmosphere to the point where the very concept of "mod" in this case became loose and purely technical. In fact, Cry of Fear is just a modern GoldSource horror game. And even after a decade, it still stays strong and scary.

Since this session is the 4th time I've dug into a GoldSrc game to capture the medium, it's both a perfect revisit and an epilogue to the in-game photography experiments I conducted in 2019. Something about this engine just resonates with me, and I will always prefer it to Source. Also, as a bonus and final chord I compiled a series of unreleased and scrapped screenshots, encapsulating the journey through voids, borders and distant nooks.

Question 1:

Cell phones are powerful tools in allowing movements like #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo to gain momentum through citizen journalism and the creation of online communities.  

To start, equipped with cameras, cell phones enable regular individuals to become citizen journalists, blurring the lines between consumers and producers of media content (Little, 2024). Citizen journalism gives power to the general public, allowing them to share their experiences with a wide audience without being censored, ignored, or silenced (Little, 2024). For instance, they can document events such as instances of police brutality, racial profiling, sexual harassment, or assault. A powerful example of this capability was seen in the viral police brutality incident involving George Floyd that happened in 2021. The first screenshot attached shows the viral police brutality incident where George Floyd was murdered by a white police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Similarly, in the #Metoo movement, the second screenshot shows a woman who was being sexually harassed in public while on a live stream.

This incident gained widespread attention on various social media platforms exposing the prevalence of such behavior and drawing attention to the #MeToo movement.

Moreover, cellphones facilitate the creation of online communities where individuals can share their content and connect with other activists. For instance, the Blackout Tuesday event on June 2, 2020, flooded social media platforms with black tiles transforming social media into a stage for advocacy and awareness (Bakare & Davies, 2020). This dominated social media as major institutions, artists, actors, and regular people participated, drawing attention to the #BlackLivesMatter movement (Bakare & Davies, 2020). This intended to stop online activity in solidarity for the #BlackLivesMatter movement (Bakare & Davies, 2020).

Overall, cellphones redistribute the power within society by giving regular people the ability to document and share their experiences online (Little, 2024). This shift challenges existing hierarchies, such as those dominated by traditional news outlets owned primarily by White males and empowers individuals to demand change (New Social Media Tools, 2016). Cellphones facilitate citizen journalism, social media, and community mobilization to empower individuals to document and share social injustices consequently enabling movements like #BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo to gain momentum.

Question 4:

Another hashtag that has changed the concept of power on the web and the world is #FreePalestine and #PalestineLivesMatter. This hashtag is a global movement advocating for the rights and freedom of Palestinians by Israel (Malli, 2021, para. 7). Citizens reporting from Palestine use these hashtags to post unedited scenes and events in real time with a global audience (Malli, 2021, para. 5). The third screenshot shows various TikTok’s using the hashtag to share news, personal stories, and calls for justice for Palestine. One of the significant changes brought about by the #FreePalestine movement is the shift in the narrative surrounding the Israel apartheid which favours Israel perspective (Malli, 2021, para. 3). It has challenged mainstream media representations and showed the realities of the Palestinian experiences and grievances (Malli, 2021, para. 9). Despite Israel’s efforts to shift the blame of civilian casualties onto Hamas, the movement holds them responsible for the devastating loss of Palestinian lives (Shurafa et al., 2024, para. 14). Israel, as well as other government’s effort to control the narrative is being stripped away.

Furthermore, the #FreePalestine movement has become a worldwide movement as people countries like Canada and the U.S are protesting in support and boycotting corporations like McDonald’s and Starbucks over their perceived support of Israel (Rajvanshi & Serhan, 2024, para. 1). In conclusion, the #FreePalestine movement has played a significant role in challenging power dynamics on the web and in the world by giving voice to marginalized communities, raising awareness about their struggles, and advocating for justice and freedom.

The most detailed visual account of the arrest seems to have been from a cellphone camera, which Fox News claimed was recorded by a clerk at a store. Before officers handcuff Denman, the cellphone footage shows him on his knees with the officers commanding him to get down. They kick him in the head and then ask where his gun is. KNXV TV reports that Sullivan invited Rachel Mitchell, interim Maricopa County Attorney, to view the cellphone video from the arrest and the officers' bodycam videos as well as surveillance video. Interestingly, Sullivan was sworn to the day following the shooting and arrest. It seems to be one of those unwritten rules in life, that a grandparent may not visit without bringing a gift to the grandchild. Even if said grandparent visits basically once a week, and sees the grandchild even more often because she's the designated babysitter.

As it is, Karen happily hands Jake another artfully wrapped little present, no matter how much he rolls his eyes and tells her she needs to 'stop spoiling Mac before he can even remember she's doing it'.

"Oh, this is more of a gift for you two." His mom smiles while the four month old in her arms coos. "I actually wanted to get it done for his birth, but, you know me and deadlines. They're poison to creativity."

Jake only nods - he knows that sermon well enough - and unwraps the gift while Amy peeks over his shoulder from behind the couch while bringing over the coffee set. She lets out the softest little "Oh...!" when they're faced with a little, clearly handmade photo book, the title of 'Mama + Daddy's Story' printed on the front in what seems to be potato stamp letters.

He's trying to place it, timewise, but it's hard - the knicknacks on his desk were ever changing, and his haircut wasn't much to go by at some point. It must've been after Holt came along, at least, because he can see the little rainbow flag in the window behind Amy.

Still. So many years ago. They're both smiling at the camera, Jake half leaning back over his shoulder, but he can see the hint of tenseness in his shoulders, the parts of his eyes that don't quite smile along.

He loved her back then. He didn't know - didn't really have an explanation for that empty feeling in his stomach when she talked about another date, or a word for what his heart was doing whenever she laughed at one of his jokes, but he does now. The Jake back then loved her, maybe not as fervently and unequivocally as the one he was now, but he loved her.

Not that he deserved her yet.

He remembers no sleep and too much coffee, a diet made of sugar and artificial sweetener mixed with fats and rarely indentifiable meat in some sauce. Stupid pranks, theme songs, crude jokes and childish infighting.

He still does all of those. (Well, most of them. He's started to like broccoli, at least a little.) But it's changed a bit, somehow. He's changed.

It's not mixed with that much irresponsible immaturity anymore. He can still make those jokes and pull off pranks because he knows now when to hold back, when a situation would be highly inappropriate for it. He's started to think about others before himself even in the little things (he always did, in the grand scheme of things, was always ready and set to protect his people, but it often fell to the wayside for the small moments if it meant it'd get him a laugh). And, at the same time, he's looking out for himself more too. He's been trying to exercise - not to get fit, but to stay healthy, because it's the right thing to do if you want to stay around and well for as long as possible when there's a little boy you want to chase around and carry home in a few years. Maybe another little one a year or two after that, as well. And even if he'll never give up his Meat Supreme and sour candies, more often than not they're followed or preluded by actually nutritional food. Because he knows now that his body needs it, that he can't rely on the insane metabolism of his early twenties anymore to help him bounce back every time.

He didn't have any of that outlook on his life and himself, back in this picture. Because, at the same time, he didn't have what was worth changing for back then, either.

"Not to over state it, but I'm definitely gonna die alone, and work is all I have."

He said it a few years after this picture was taken, he remembers, but it was a thought that was quite present in his mind long before that, too. Even with his squad family having his back, it was a fear that used to creep in late at night, in that horrible, dirty apartment he never really called home. Why change for the better like everyone urges you to, when that 'better' will lead to nowhere, anyway? Easier to laugh it off, play the class clown some more, make everyone shake their head and give up after a while.

Mac beside him almost kicks the book out of his hands, and he finally looks up and over to the two people next to him in bed. To everything he has now, and never thought he'd have, and still doesn't know how he managed to deserve it all.

Amy looks so serene, her open hair half hiding her face as she smiles down at the baby in her arms, who's happily nursing. He never imagined seeing Amy half undressed could be any more beautiful than it was when it happened in the heat of a private moment, but he'd been proven wrong the first time he watched her feeding Mac in their bed, Jake's largest flannel she'd stolen for comfort slipping off of her shoulders.

"Enjoying the show?" She asks with a grin and a joking wink like she always does when she catches him staring, and he huffs out a laugh before kissing her bare shoulder next to him.

"I love you."

"I love you too." She reaches up to scratch behind his ear as he leans against the kissed spot on her shoulder, looks over to see the page still open in his lap. "You look kind of sad in that picture, to be honest."

Because of course she can read him like a book, even years after the fact. Of course she can tell from just a photo. She's a brilliant detective, after all, even as a Sergeant, and the one person in the world who knows him best.

"I can't believe that's even me." He thumbs over the edge of the photo. "I was like, a whole other person back then."

"I can see two cups of coffee and a pizza bagel on your desk there, so that's definitely you."

"It would only be one coffee now."

"Oh, well then, obviously an early impostor."

He bonks his nose against her shoulder in protest, and the scratching behind his ear grows a bit more intense for a moment in way of apology.

"I know what you mean, though." Her voice is so soft, Mac's snuffling almost overshadows it. "You've had a lot of big changes since then."

"Thank you for making me a better man." He whispers before rising up for a kiss.

"I can't take all of the credit for that. You were pretty much a team effort from the whole squad."

"I'll try not to be offended by that joke only because it's true." She giggles at his pouting look. "You get at least 95% of the credit, though. That's still an A, right?"

"In some scoring systems, yeah." Amy's still smiling while she unlatches Mac and hands him over to be burped, a move that's become so routine to them Jake already has a burp cloth over his shoulder before he even realises he's picked it up. "But you get an A for making me a better woman, too."

"Oh, come on now."

"No, I mean it." She watches her two boys while Jake sits up a bit to sway back and forth. "You made me see the fun in life and taught me not to be so uptight about everything. And pushed me to be better in everything at the same time."

"When you put it like that, I do sound like a pretty great catch. No wonder you worked so hard to pin me down." He grins at the exact moment Mac burps into his ear and he can feel the telltale splatter of bubbly milk on his shoulder.

"Oh yeah." Amy purrs as he hands the little one back to her to lull into sleep while he cleans up. "I've always said, there's just nothing more desirable than a man who can still be confident with baby spitup on his back."

"I know you're making fun of me again, but that sexy voice is still really getting me going."

"Just because it was a joke doesn't mean it's not true." She pulls him down for another kiss. "You've never been hotter than while being a responsible dad, babe."

"Well, lemme put on a show for you then while I get this snoozing baby back into his cot."

She giggles while he picks the already asleep Mac out of her arms and oversways his hips on the way out of the bedroom.

ok so!! i received a question about how to play lsdde, i'll try to sumarize it as best as i can

lsdde is basically, well, a dream emulator! each time you press "start" at the beginning, you get different dream-like sections where you can interact with things in your surroundings. bumping into walls, npcs, and other objects takes you to another map (that's often called linking)

each map has its different music, its different npcs, and its different layout in general. the point of the game, well, is just . .. walking around and seeing every map and its artistic value. it's basically a walking simulator. there's no story, no goal, nor anything that would normally be required for a game to be good, i guess.

sometimes the game has different unskippable cutscenes play instead of the regular gameplay; but that also doesn't mean you did anything wrong, it's just. the game being itself

so yea! i guess that's pretty much it. i'd advise you to maybe take a look at the lsd dream emulator fandom wiki, there's a lot of stuff there that might help you. i'm sorry for the original reply not answering anything :'')

i usually play it through an emulator. idk if you're having problems with emulating it or playing it, so i'll just write everything down in a neat little post :)

the default controls consist of: arrows to walk, enter to pause, z to run, a and x to move the camera and s to select. f12 is also useful if you'd like to take a screenshot!

that's assuming your on windows, ofc. idk if the process is the same for macOS.

now when it comes to cellphone emulation, you might need a few more things. (my phone is an android device btw) i often use the epsxe emulator - for it to work you'll need to download a psx bios, which is quite easily available online; and then just use the same .bin and .cue for the game that you'd use for pc emulation.

if you'd like, i can try and record a video to demonstrate how to run lsdde both on pc and on mobile :) i'm sorry for my broken english, i'm trying my best though lmao

You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion and texted back a reply; umm what??

She sent you a screenshot of a photo that had been taken with Drew’s phone a few days ago, which was now posted to Instagram.

You go into a fit of coughs, choking on the chip you’d ate, “Drew!” You shrieked.

Drews quick to rush in, toothbrush hanging from his mouth and a towel around his waist, almost slipping as his feet hit the hardwood floor, “What? What’s wrong?”

You stand, shoving the phone in his face, “I asked you to keep it a secret. Keep us a secret!”

He frowns, looking over the photo, “I didn’t post this… how would they have gotten this photo? This photo was in my phone and had not been posted to anywhere. I hadn’t even sent it to anyone.”

You groan as your notifications start to go crazy, “Then how would they have gotten it?”

Drew runs a hand over his wet hair, “Fuck!”

You sit back on the couch, “Well, now everyone is going to know.”

“I can’t believe someone hacked my phone.” Drew tosses the phone back next to you, his face is red with anger. “I’m fucking pissed.”

“It’s wrong, y/n. It’s an invasion of privacy. I specifically came out and said this was to be kept a secret.” His mind goes over the last few days and he tosses his head back, hands on his hips and sighs, then runs a hand over his face, “I know who did it.”

“Who?”

“Lilah (I think that’s her name :/ correct me if I’m wrong!) Pate.” He groans, “I let her borrow my phone the other day on set to make some tik tok. She must have taken the photo from her cellphone.”

“Well, nothing we can do about it now. Secrets out.”

“I’m sorry. I should have been more careful…” He apologizes.

You shake your head, “no it’s okay.. Not your fault. I’m actually surprised your amazingly talented fanbase didn’t find out sooner.” You laugh.

He chuckles and nods, “I’m quite surprised at that too.” He leans over the couch, “Want to officially announce it later?”

You nod and peck his lips, “on live or post the photos ourselves?”

History 3 Trapped Filming Diary (full English translation) - Days 41-50

Masterpost here. 

I don’t own the book so I can’t post my scans of the pictures that came with it. So I included some other pictures of the scenes that were being filmed. These pics belong to LINE TV or Choco Media, or I’ve taken screenshots from the episodes or the behind-the-scenes.

Day 41

On this day of shooting it happened to be Christmas, and the crew, waiting for the evening shooting process, enjoyed a Christmas gift exchange. Shaofei gave out a book; according to him it was a very inspirational book. A crew member who does hair and make-overs nearby opened it and laughed jokingly: “What kind of ‘inspiration’ do you mean?”, causing Shaofei’s thoughts to immediately go into another direction to the point of him not even being able to say it out loud (I can tell you: he was very bashful!). The whole crew also acknowledged that the most creative gift was a big bunch of green onions⁕ from Sanxing. When this present was opened the whole crew burst out in crazy laughter, but it need also be said that this was a most memorable gift. 

⁕ Sanxing is famous for its spring onions! They even have a little museum dedicated to green onions there. 

Also, what kind of book did Jake gift someone? 👀

Day 42

The day after Christmas, Boss Tang arrived at work, and the first thing he did was accept his gift from the Christmas gift exchange from the day before. So what did Boss Tang receive? 

*ding ding* The answer is 20 Christmas trees and a bottle of “Indian Spiritual Oil”⁕ At the appearance of this gift, everyone nearby immediately laughed loudly, and I also silently expressed my heartfelt wishes for Tang Yi’s and Meng Shaofei’s happiness. 

For today’s scenes, basically the whole ‘world’ had to be there: Unit 3, Tang Yi, A De, Hong Ye, Daoyi and Jingtang were all present, so the set was really lively. What was shot that day were the scenes after Hongye and Shaofei were injured in the parking lot. In order to increase the conflictual character of these scenes, the director assigned each actor their own, individual combination. What was interesting is that during rehearsals, the cameramen all quickly approached the actors like a large quantity of reporters. A De said smiling that the group of people was so large that it looked like an oncoming tank and he could only silently take the ‘card position’⁕ each time. 

⁕ This oil is basically like viagra...but topical instead of taking a pill....It’s a natural plant oil but it contains some anaesthetics which will irritate the skin a bit (making your you-know-what more erect as it grows hot) and the anaesthetics will also cause you to last longer. Ahem. Let’s all imagine Chris receiving this gift. 😂

⁕ The card position comes from a basketball or football game. It means that during the game, when the ball is in the air, the player accurately judges the effective landing point of the ball, takes the lead in the opponent's position, and blocks the opponent out of the best position to gain control. Here it means that Stanley just chose the best position to gain control/the upper hand in the scene. 

Day 43

Today we continued to shoot the hospital scenes. Shaofei said smiling that today was another aptly-named day of “earning money while lying down,” as he was lying down from the first scene in the morning to the last scene in the evening. After several consecutive days of intensive shooting, the hospital scenes were back in Taoyuan. Shaofei said he had been getting out of bed at 4am in the morning for several days in a row, and that day was no exception. So during the moments when he wasn’t in the shots, he could openly but stealthily catch up on some sleep in the bed, which made everyone present pretty envious. 

Zhaozi just gets better the more he acts. Just look at his slightly wrinkled brows.

Day 44

In the last episode, Zhaozi took Tang Yi to see Shaofei [in the hospital] for the last time. Tang Yi, who had carelessly pulled the trigger and accidentally shot Shaofei was already handcuffed. He told Shaofei he would hand He Hang as well as Zhou Guanzhi over to the police. Zhou Guanzhi was the enemy who killed his father. In these past four years, Tang Yi’s biggest goal was to single-handedly murder his father’s killer. For Tang Yi to now agree to let Zhou Guanzhi live and to hand him over to the police, meant Tang Yi had made the ultimate concession.

Because he had persisted in his revenge, he had caused his lover to be hospitalized with a gunshot. Since meeting Tang Yi, Shaofei had been assaulted in big and small ways,  and suffered injuries because of him. Tang Yi discovered that his stubbornly insisting on having his own way was a big factor in Shaofei getting hurt. If this continued, Shaofei would one day be ‘killed’ by Tang Yi. Kept apart by handcuffs, kissing your lover like that; what kind of plot could be more cruel than that?

Tang Yi, even while being handcuffed, was very witty/playful. He didn’t forget to stick his tongue out to the camera. 

Day 45

Long time no see! I believe that people who have watched <Right Or Wrong< should not be too unfamiliar with Dr. Jintang’s “uncle-in-law” Jiang Zhaopeng. He is Qiu Zhiyu whom we haven’t seen for a while. Before filming, these two cultivated their understanding of their lines by videochatting [i.e. they practiced their lines] (and also cultivated the signals between both of their phones). One of the most frightening things in filming is the screen of a cellphone. Apart from this scene, the drama shows many different mobile phone screens; every time a call had to be made, or when a LINE conversation happened, etc. Only, whether or not the signal would be good, is an element that no one can control. If the signal is not good, phone calls won’t go through, or the moment when the phone rings doesn’t match the plot. Sometimes it can take a good number of takes, not to mention that this scene needed a video call. If the signal would not be good, the video and the sound might have been chopped. But we had a close call and the signal in the hospital was very stable, allowing us to be able to smoothly complete the take.  

Zijian, who portrays Jiang Jintang, has a lively and witty personality. He would often say crazy things that amused the crew. In the evening, we filmed that Shaofei followed Tang Yi to the hospital to see Jintang [the massage scene]. Jintang wanted to angrily quarrel with Meng Shaofei, because he didn’t expect them to arrive together. His red face, his hard breathing and his stammering made all the staff on the scene instantly almost collapse from laughter. Even Shaofei, who was doing the scene with him, and Tang Yi, who was lying down behind them, couldn’t keep in their laughter. 

At another rehearsal, Jintang was planning to jump on Tang Yi’s back, but because he hadn’t well coordinated his position, Boss Tang’s knees hit Jintang straight in his ‘important parts’. The staff who were on the scene jokingly told him to jump on the spot, and he actually did it. This was also a ‘pain in the balls.’⁕

⁕ Same expression was used in day 37. It’s more literal here. You can see this happening in the behind-the-scenes. 

Day 46

Today we filmed father and son Chen Wenhao and Tang Yi meeting in front of Lizhen’s grave. The weather at the cemetery site was very unstable. Sometimes an uninterrupted drizzle floated by, and at other times wind and rain became quite strong. Occasionally, the sun would stealthily sneak out from the clouds to join in on the fun, adding many changes to the shooting. But the two actors were not in the slightest affected by these elements. As if their surroundings were all congealed together, the two looked at each other and cried really heart-wrenchingly. Afterwards, Chengyang [Chris] also frankly admitted that for this scene his mood was very complex, and it was very hard on him. Tang Yi stood in front of his biological mother’s tomb, and his biological father, whom he once thought to be her killer, walked up to him. At that moment, that kind of “crying” already wasn't just tears simply shed from sadness anymore. 

When he heard the gunshot as he exited the graveyard without even looking back, Chris said that his heart was really hurting so much that he almost couldn’t go on.

A big thank you to teacher Jiakui, who plays Wenhao, to give [Chris] ample ability, and to push him beyond the limits of what he could do. What is even more special, is that today was, coincidentally, also Chris’ birthday. To shoot such a meaningful scene on his birthday and falling apart crying like that, really must have left a deep impression on him.

Day 47

The day when the entire Unit 3 team got together, happened to be the very last day of 2018. Today’s MVP was Junwei [played by Ethan Liu]. Everyone most likely knows about the meeting between Unit 3 and the international criminal police division where Junwei was tasked with reporting duties. 

That day Junwei was constantly drilling and rehearsing, because all his lines needed to be correctly and fluently spoken for that role to be acted out well. One of the biggest causes for stress is that when you start failing takes, the whole crew and all the actors are just waiting. One can imagine that that is a very big pressure. 

Originally everyone joked and said that before noon they would surely be able to go home to celebrate the New Year, but in the end, it took until in the afternoon for the first scene to finish smoothly and everyone on Unit 3 could begin to plan how they would spend New Year’s Eve. But our poor Captain and Shaofei had to stay behind to continue the next scene. Shaofei felt wronged and said to Zhaozi: “Where is the morality in him [the captain] being so happy?” 

Day 48

Outside it was drizzling, but inside, the room was brimming with nervous energy as Tang Yi took Jack to negotiate with Old Ke, while Shaofei from his side and Unit 3 rushed inside as an important step and wiped out the place.⁕

While waiting for their scenes, each of the Unit 3 were doing their own activities. First Shaofei looked for a quiet place in the room and silently sat reading the script for the future scenes. With his usual style, he would use differently coloured pens to write down dialogue that belongs to Jake and Shaofei.⁕ Zhaozi, in turn, would be lying on the very big bed inside the room, and would both be talking to Junwei, having a pillow fight with Jack and taking selfies with his cellphone. 

And how did Tang Yi spend the time waiting for his next scene? The answer is that he had rolled himself up in a quilt and fell into a deep sleep. No matter if Shaofei would loudly yell, “Where is Tang Yi?” outside the room, Tang Yi slept through it all.

⁕ The very first scenes of the whole show, when Shaofei and his team barges through the door! Some of the very first words we ever hear coming out of Shaofei’s mouth are “Where is Tang Yi?” MY HEART. This show is so well-made. 

⁕ There’s an example of what Jake’s script looked like in the “HIStory 3: Trapped The Making of...” book. ankdlgdndkgn it’s the hospital balcony scene. The thing that he writes in black, between the two red exclamation marks... “This is the show’s first kiss!!! (Vixen Andy doesn’t count).” WHY IS HE SO CUTE? 

Day 49

For shooting the scenes at the exterior of the police station, we borrowed the Xizhi branch police building. That Xizhi branch building which only opened in 2017, is very new and very beautiful. The interior was also very spacious, so we had plenty of room to use.

On that day there happened to be a major traffic incident in that jurisdiction area, and both clerical and field police officers were busy bustling about. Even news reporting vehicles were driving in and out. We were able to witness the police officers' work that we usually don’t have opportunity to see. Thanks to all the protectors of the people for their hard work. 

Today’s Xizhi police station was bustling and lively. Thanks as well to the fans of Director Qingrong who, during the afternoon tea time, came to visit the set and brought snacks like donuts and coffee. In the afternoon the weather turned cold and it started to drizzle. But the fans braved the wind and the rain and came anyway, and even gave handwritten cards to the actors and the director, which was really sweet.

Day 50

Day 2 at the police station. Today’s weather was nothing like yesterday’s “sunny and cloudy with an occasional shower”. Today the sun was shining very brightly, and the temperatures soared straight to 30 degrees. It was the perfect weather to play a song called “I love summer.” 

We shot the scene where three members of Unit 3 talked with Jack at the door. They had to walk outside from inside the police station and each time they had to redo the take, everyone went back into the building with a look of total unwillingness. They opened their eyes widely and took a very deep breath, and with a blank look in their eyes they wiped their sweat and used a small fan to keep cool. Phew, foreheads were filled with beads of sweat, and everyone’s clothes were also soaked with sweat.

In the afternoon we filmed the scene from the last episode when Boss Tang goes to the police station to wait for Shaofei to get off work, when Jack also happened to ride his motorbike to pick up Zhaozi from work.  At that time, the weather was still very sunny. Boss Tang, who wanted to sit on his car’s hood to wait for Shaofei, suddenly yelled out. Apparently the vicious sun had rendered the hood burning hot, which made boss Tang jump up in sudden fright.

Season 3 Hideout: Be Our Voice & The Awakening: Written in the Stars

Hello! My name’s Ori and I write k-pop theories and fanfics and today I’m revisiting my Cravity theory cause apparently I didn’t update for Hideout Season 3 even though I thought I had lol This is going to be a mini update since there isn’t much to add, but let’s get right into it.

Arc 1: Hideout Season 3 Main Plot Points

During the prologue of Season 3 we finally get to see more about Woobin, Seongmin and Minhee. At the beginning they hear their names being called by Wonjin, who’s probably using his power to convince them to meet the others. Then we get to see a little of their private lives.

First Woobin is studying in his room when he spots a dead butterfly and revives it. He then tries to take the elevator to leave his apartment building but he ends up getting too scared and gives up; the instagram account also confirms his fear of elevators. He then presumably leaves to spend some time at the arcade. From Minhee, we get to see how carefully he cleans and takes care of his room, making sure even the smallest object is in place, before his alarms sound and he has to get ready to leave.

Seongmin is at the bus stop at night, waiting for it. We know from the Instagram posts he doesn’t want to go home so ends up choosing to go to the arcade and he forgets his cellphone. Minhee finds the cellphone and upon touching it discovers Seongmin’s plans and goes to meet him there. At the arcade, Seongmin struggles to play with the dart, but when he closes and opens his eyes again, suddenly he’s nailing every single shot.

Minhee arrives during this and gives Seongmin his cellphone, which is when they notice they both have similar stones. Woobin also notices this and joins them. They notice Seongmin’s injured hands and Woobin heals him, revealing his power to them.

After a cutscene, we see the other six at their hideout. Wonjin is explaining that Seongmin and Minhee are a year younger than them and that Woobin is his and Hyeongjun’s classmate. He also mentions already calling them and Allen adds that he’s dreamt of them as well. Finally, the three of them arrive and introduce themselves.

In the epilogue, they’re all spending time together at the hideout. Wonjin and Taeyoung are talking. Seongmin is repairing something for Hyeongjun. Serim, Jungmo and Minhee are with Revue when Jungmo tests Serim’s power by asking him what is the color of the third cloth in his wardrobe. Serim correctly guesses it’s a purple hoodie. We also confirm Jungmo’s ability to communicate with animals. Finally, Woobin is asking Allen if he can predict which team will win tomorrow’s game, to which Allen responds that’s not how his power works, before they’re interrupted by Seongmin asked to be healed by Woobin.

The scene cuts to them playing a board game. Taeyoung tries to cheat by freezing time but Hyeongjun discovers and stops him. Suddenly, Allen looks up and all the lights around them begin to turn off before they look at the camera and the final light goes out. Then, Allen wakes up to Woobin calling him. Finally, in the Hidden Film we see all but Seongmin and Minhee celebrating their graduation.

What is happening?

Before we update the character profiles let’s talk a little bit about what’s going on. First of all, they’ve finished reuniting and Hideout is over just as we had predicted. This means the stasis stage of the story is over and now we need a trigger. While I think that The Awakening: Written in the Stars is sort of a little break while they work on the next part of the story, because we didn’t get any films or updates on the Instagram account, I also think that the title has more meaning to it than that.

First of all, the simple phrase “the awakening” already feels like a trigger because the word itself alludes to the start of something. I also think it might be literally referencing Allen waking up from the vision he has in the Season 3 Epilogue. Yes, I’m pretty sure the whole last scene is a vision, and while it’s a little different, it does preserve that 4th-wall-breaking aspect we’ve seen in some of his visions before, so it’s not a stretch.

What does this mean for them? Well, simply put, danger is coming, and whether they like it or not, they might have to start learning real soon how to better use their abilities. To be honest, I’m still not sure Starship is gonna go full superhero on them, because most of their powers are very passive, but we’ll see!

Updating the profiles

Now that we know a bit more about our last three characters, let’s summarize what we know and then make a list with their powers.

Minhee

He is an extreme perfectionist, to the point that every single thing must have its place and it seems that he has a very detailed routine to keep order in his room. We can also see that he has quite a lot of alarms that establish the order of his day. He doesn’t seem to have an adverse reaction to disorder though, and simply seems to enjoy the act of keeping his space clean and perfect, because we don’t see him do that with the hideout.

Seongmin

Seongmin hates being home, to the point we don’t even get to see his house in any of the videos. He doesn’t mention it in the videos but he’s pretty verbal about it in the Instagram posts. It is quite likely he has a bad relationship with his parents and he seems to wander around a lot. He is also extremely prone to getting injured apparently. Someone help the lost puppy.

Woobin

Woobin lives in an apartment complex and he seems to be a good student. The one thing that definitely stands out about him is his fear of using the elevator. It’s still unknown if it comes from any particular elevator-related trauma or if maybe he has major claustrophobia caused by something that isn’t specifically related to elevators. However, he’s pretty terrified of them and although he’s been trying to overcome it, it hasn’t worked for him at all.

The powers

Finally, the list:

Serim - People-focused psychometry, he obtains information about others, seemingly by accessing their knowledge and memories. So far his ability has only been seen with the members.

Allen - Precognition through dreams, he has dreams in which he’s able to see the future. All dreams seem to be tied to the members so far.

Jungmo - Animal Telepathy, he’s able to understand and communicate with animals.

Woobin - Accelerated Healing, so far we’ve seen him heal small injuries and bring back to life small creatures.

Wonjin - Telepathy, he can communicate with others through the mind, even if they’re far away. So far his ability has only been seen with the members.

Minhee - Future-focused psychometry, this one is still in doubt since we’ve only seen him use it once, but he seems to be able to see the future of the person who last touched the object.

Hyeongjun - Legit, no idea, what is your deal, child?

Taeyoung - Time stopping, he’s able to completely stop time for everyone else except Hyeongjun. He can continue moving and doing things normally when he does it.

Seongmin - Enhanced accuracy and precision, again this one is still in doubt since we’ve only seen him use it once, but he seems to be able to perfectly nail every shot he makes.

Conclusions

Cravity might actually be in danger, depending on what Allen’s vision meant. One thing is for sure though, the story is starting to move forward. On the other hand, someone help me with Hyeongjun, I accept suggestions.
