My Botw Daily Schedule
Tumblr media
I have ADHD and rountinely forget to do the most basic things so I made a checklist schedule for some reminders. I currently have it printed, laminated, and taped to my wall so I can use a dry erase marker on it. Feel free to use it/edit it to your personal schedule!

BOTW/TOTK Link is the closest thing Hyrule will have to waking up a caveman. You have an amnesiac waking up to mostly isolated area where the most social interaction he has at the start is talking to a ghost. Chances are the hero Hyrule gets is a proficient fighter who is slightly feral.
By the time TOTK comes around, most people just accept Link doing oddball things like climbing everything, catching fish without tools, or mainly eating things with his hands as Just Link Things™

If you hooked up a console in the lab or played a PC game in the cyber world, I wonder if that would open a portal to another world and you can go inside the game to play it (I know it’s cheesy but it’s a fun thought lol)
I mean you kinda do go inside Queen’s game so maybe that’s possible with other games lol.

botw is so beautifully designed even its menu sounds are pleasing
some games have menu sounds so obnoxious I have to mute my switch when using the menu for extended periods (looking at you, fire emblem three houses), but botw menu sounds are just so nice and calming
I want everything in my life to make botw menu sounds when I interact with it

beat my first divine beast today and it was SO fun, i'm still garbage at botw's controls so fighting vah ruta and waterblight ganon probably took longer than it should have each but both were still very cool fights hehe

My Favorite Non-Spoilery Things in TotK so far (but I’ll still tag it just in case):
Link now hums bits of iconic songs from past Zelda titles when cooking.
When you get a weapon from a chest but don’t have any room in your inventory, the game automatically opens your weapons stash for you so you can swap out an old weapon with the new, if you so desire.
Any horses you registered in Breath of the Wild will carry over to the stables in TotK (with the exception of the White Horse and Giant Horse). EDIT: My bad, turns out these two do carry over. I forgot that I only had them registered on my Master Mode save file (TotK only checks the Normal Mode file).
You can fuse flowers to your weapons. It doesn’t offer much combat advantage, it just looks pretty. Unfortunately the flowers fall off after the first couple of strikes. :(
Towers no longer need to be climbed in order to retrieve their map data.
Inventory menu is now easier to navigate.
When taking out items to hold (such as for a cooking pot), you can also put them back into your inventory one at a time, instead of having to put everything away and start over.
Weapons seem to have a little more durability than last time (I could be wrong about this one, but it sure seems like I’m not breaking things as often as I did in BotW).
Most of the NPCs know who Link is this time, making him a fully integrated member of their community rather than just a wandering stranger. This makes Hyrule really feel like his home, which in turn makes me care that much more about protecting everyone in it.
