*Rod Laver Arena'da saat 11:45'te başlayacak olan Avustralya Açık Tek Erkekler Final maçı. Sinner için kariyerinin ilk Grand Slam finalini oynama vakti geldi. İtalyan raket yaptığı çıkışla birlikte buralarda olması beklenen birisi. Artık günü geldi. Kazanırsa ülkesi adına da hasreti dindirecek ve 1976 Roland Garros şampiyonu Adriano Panatta'dan sonra Açık Dönem'de Grand Slam turnuvası kazanan ikinci İtalyan erkek tenisçi olacak. Medvedev ise buraya kadar yoğun 5 setlik maçlardan geldi. 2021 ve 2022'den sonra üçüncü defa burada finalde. O zaman sırasıyla Djokovic ve Nadal'a takılmıştı. Bu kez karşısında daha "ideal" sayılabilecek birisi var. Bu kez şanssızlığını kırıp ilk Avustralya Açık şampiyonluğunu ve kariyerindeki 2. Slam zaferini tatmayı amaçlıyor. Güzel bir kapanışa tanıklık etmek dileğiyle.

*İkinci set de 6-3 ile Medvedev'e gitti ve durum 2-0 oldu. Yine yoğun bir hakimiyet vardı ama bu kez son bölümde istisnalar baş gösterdi. 6. oyunda Medvedev break'i yakaladıktan sonra 6-1 ile bitirmek için servis attı. O oyunda Sinner kırdı ve heyecanı uzattı. Medvedev son oyunda ise 2. set puanını değerlendirdi. Arada bir break puanı kurtardı. Maç adeta son oyunlarla başlamış gibi. Tabi Sinner için buradan uzun bir yol söz konusu.

*Üçüncü sette 6-4 üstünlük kuran Sinner 2-1 yaptı ve umutlandı. Çok dengeli giden oyunda bir tie-break'e doğru geri sayım yapmıştık ki son oyunda Sinner sürpriz biçimde servis kırma puanı yakaladı ve geri çevirmedi. Bu da setin sonu oldu. Medvedev'in erken bitirme telaşı kötü sonuçlandı. Uzuyor bugün.

*Dördüncü setin sonucu da 6-4 Sinner lehine bitince 2-2'lik denge geldi. İtalyan raket müthiş geri dönüşle daha bitmedi dedi. Tıpkı bir önceki sette olduğu gibi son oyunda break'le noktayı koydu. Ufak bir fark vardı. Medvedev 7. oyunda break şansı yakaladı ama değerlendiremedi. Aklı orada kalırsa vay haline şimdi.

*Beşinci ve son seti 6-3 noktalayan Sinner 3-2'lik müthiş dönüşle zoru başardı ve şampiyonluğu elde etti. Kariyerinin ilk Grand Slam zaferini elde etti. 22 yaşında bunu başararak da önemli bir iz bıraktı tarihe. Avustralya'da 10 yıl sonra farklı bir şampiyonu görmüş olduk. 6. oyunda Sinner break'i aldı ve sonrası için yürüye yürüye kupaya gitti. Medvedev için 2 yıl sonra yine büyük hüsran var. 2022'deki Nadal finalinde de 2-0 öne geçmiş ama yenilmişti. Açık Dönem'de ilk kez 2 majör finali 2-0'dan kaybeden oyuncu olarak kötü bir unvan elde etti. Tebriklerimiz İtalya'nın altın çocuğu Sinner'e. Onun için doyasıya kutlama vakti şimdi.
