Tofaş will start production on May 4

“In our statement dated March 31, 2020, within the framework of the effects of new types of coronavirus (Kovid-19), which affected the world and our country, the disruptions in the supply and delivery processes from abroad were announced to the public, which we will search for production until April 20, 2020 in our factory. As a result of the developments, this period was extended until May 4, 2020. Important developments regarding the subject will be shared with our investors. “
It was stated that the necessary details will be carried out within the framework of the business continuity plan in the explanation details stated that there is no termination of employment contract due to a break from work.
The statement also emphasized that no impact is expected on the company's continuity assumption due to the decision.

Şiran Mayor Mutlu Özel, who provided farmers with tractor support in the study carried out to increase the income level of rural people and bring empty agricultural land to production, said that he was a Mayor from the agricultural sector and had a longing for Şiran on agriculture.
Mayor Özel, who was with the farmers during the cultivation of 2 thousand acres of land in the village of Evren for 20 years, said, “As Şiran Municipality, we want to develop and lead medical and aromatic plants growing in our region. We had a meeting with the firm in Ordu, one of the largest companies in the region. In the forecasting, safflower plants appeared before us. Here, we preferred this because it was an oily plant that has been successful in trials and suitable for our region. We came together with our farmers. We started to investigate the matter by establishing a consortium with our agricultural organization and university. After the work took shape, we started this business in October with 64 farmers. We plowed our entire fields. As of now, we have 75 farmers and 7 thousand acres of land that has not been planted to date. All of them are ready for planting. ”
Expressing that they predict that the world's biggest weapon will be food in a change and in the future, Özel said, “Our Ministry of Agriculture has an instruction on the cultivation of uncultivated land. We listened to this. We have been dealing since October. We are trying to produce alternative products in our region. We want our couple's pocket to see the money. It doesn't just happen with barley, wheat and corn. We were looking for an alternative product. Suitable for our safflower region. We believe that we will be successful. ”
Stating that the company they interviewed has both seed and fertilizer support, as Şiran Municipality, they provided fuel support by providing support to the farmers, and said, “The financial situation of our farmers is not good. The firm supports seeds and fertilizers. Our farmer only sows in the field. We will showdown during the harvest season. Applications are still ongoing. There are over 10 villages participating in the project. We believe that we will be successful, we trust our farmer. We thank our President and Minister of Agriculture for their support. ”

Birşen said that they will harvest the planted safflower plant in August and said, “With the harvest, we will obtain 3,500 tons of roughage and one thousand tons of safflower seeds. We aim to obtain a 400-ton oil from this. In this way, safflower cultivation will take place in Gümüşhane and we will continue this in both Şiran and our other districts. We would like to thank our Mayor of Şiran Mutlu Özel, who has made a great contribution to the project. Our farmer claimed the project. Planting is done. Our Şiran Municipality has financed these machines. In this way, the inputs fell very much. Profitable business. Hopefully we will see this in the harvest in August. According to the analysis we are doing now, we will earn 5 million agricultural products ”.
Stating that agriculture should change with climate change, and with the instructions of Bekir Pakdemirli, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Birşen said that “We started the lavender cultivation in this sense. This was also accepted by our farmer. We also expanded the wheat production in Kelkit and Köse districts. Dry bean production came to the fore again in Kelkit. Our product pattern will be enriched day by day with the introduction of ponds made for irrigation purposes, and our agricultural product will increase day by day. ”
Mehmet Polat (30), one of the inhabitants of the universe village, who noted that he has planted the lands that have not been cultivated in his villages for 20 years with the incentives of President Mutlu Özel, said, “We have entered this business with the incentives of our Mayor. This land was a land not cultivated for nearly 20 years. This is how we evaluated it. It was a very nice project. Thanks to everybody for their exertion. Here is a product that has been tried before and with good results. A more profitable product than barley and wheat. We have no water problems. We think we will plant more next year. He provided seeds and fertilizers by agreeing with the municipal company. Its cultivation is also made by the Municipality with 5 different machines. They also provided diesel support. Fields not planted for 20 years started to be planted
With the call made after the coronavirus epidemic, safflower plants were started to be planted in the fields that have not been planted in Şiran district of Gümüşhane for 20 years. In the project led by the Municipality, farmers are expected to obtain 5 million lira with the safflower plant planted on 7 thousand acres.
