Autism has long been synonymous with "struggle". If you don't struggle, if you're successful or you're just happy with life people are less likely to recognize you as autistic, except for other autistic people.
I swear, we have an autism radar. Autie-radar? Autie-dar?

Riri does not have the privilege to conventional. Unlike the other young heroes, Riri does not have a secret identity. She was discovered with a IQ at four/five-years old which pushed her to be in programs with other children or adults who don’t pay attention to her. This force her to be independent, especially after her father was murdered and she had to leave her mother to go to M.I.T. Combine to the trauma to the shooting in the park, Riri is secretly starved for normalcy. But she is scared to ask for attention or help. Why it was difficult for her to be in therapy in canon.
So Riri never had much of a “safe space” to be herself. Why she approaches as disrespectful or angry when socializing.
