The Shadeclan leader, Silkstar and her family

Silkstar: her warrior name being Silkfern is a fair and responsible leader. She is just one of the oldest leaders out of the others, the other being Drystar of Snakeclan but will go over him in another post. She’s the one who would like to talk problems through than fight but fighting is a last option. At the start of my story she has about 5 lives and her deputy was Smokedapple before she died in the fire. Her mate was Whitetail who also had died in the fire leaving her with their two kits Sweetkit and Berrykit.

Also Sweetkit and Berrykit were added in because around the same time I started clangen with this story in mind we found two kittens under our porch so I based them off of them. Also Jaysnow was going to be her kit but I changed that deciding not to do that.

Whitetail was one of the senior warriors of the clan. He was the type to see every cat in the clan as his own. Well liked and respected he was sought out for his wisdom. He was one of the lives lost from the fire.

Sweetfern is a new warrior of the clan. She’s spunky and full of energy. She requested during her ceremony she was to be named Sweetfern as her warrior name after her mother who dies before she becomes a warrior. She is so full of life and takes our happiness out of everything in life. She loves her brother and is very close to him.

Berrytail is the fight first ask questions later type of cat. He also asked for his warrior name to be Berrytail after his father Whitetail. He’s adventurous and loves to explore even willing to sneak out of camp when he was an apprentice and getting scolded by his mother or whoever caught him.

So. I'm like. Planning out like families and stuff like who's related to who in the Warriors AU... And.

Yeah this is basically about to become something only vaguely attached to ULTIMO cause like.

TL;DR, Fusataro and Vice are basically siblings and their uncle is Kaizo. Yeah.

SO. Whitestar is (Fusataro)Sunshadow's dad. So I had to make up a 'mom', and I settled on Mousewhisker, who would be (Kaizo)Volepelt's sister.

Why?

WELL ABOUT THAT--

I know that Whitestar didn't react well to Sunshadow being born during an eclipse. I wanted an all-out panicking, trying to rip the kit away from her mother's belly thing, but someone protects them.

Who, though? Well, maybe the medicine cat who would be there for the birth, but Berrytail is notably weak maybe a sibling as well?

Okay, so sibling. Don't wanna make a whole new character, who's an adult cat now? Volepelt. He's the elder when Pinestep's story starts, so he was probably a warrior still during this time, and also it gives Volepelt more relevance to the story, so all around hurrah!

(Vice)Shellstar's story is he and (Ultimo)Featherstar were found abandoned as newborns along the river by the medicine cats and were separated to take one to each clan.

Okay, so there needs to be a surrogate mother to take him in. Ugh, again I don't wanna make a new character, sooo... Maybe Mousewhisker is the only one in the nursery and she's got plenty of milk because she only has one kit. Maybe Sunkit(Sunshadow) is a little bit older and kinda big-sisters him?

So yeah. That's where we're at.

I mean it's not THAT odd, I've already specified (Orgullo)Firejaw as the father of (Hana)Petalkit and the step father to (Mizho)Owleye and (Jealousy)Spidergaze SOOOOO...

AAAAA Nanas 💕 Where do I start!

Bananas Berryfur is a blood legion soldier of the Berry warband! Her warband consists of; Jam Berryblast, Melon Berryheart, Kiwi Berrytail, and Blue Berrypaw! Unfortunately Nanas's warband were killed by the Maguuma jungle when the Pact first entered Verdant Brink, Bananas and Blue are the last of Berry warband.

Compared to most feisty kitties, Bananas is a bubbly sweetheart ❤️ She loves meeting new people of all kinds, always trying to keep the mood positive!

She has a twin brother (even tho they were born a couple of months apart. They have similar features.), Plantain! Bananas loves her brother and wishes only the best for him and his passions! Though sometimes, she might get a little carried away with her affections and "bother" Plantain when he's working on a project. They don't see each other often, Plantain is a Gladium after all, so every moment together means a lot to Bananas.

Val is 100% best dad!! He LOVES his kids and takes pride in them. Val wouldn't shut up about his newborn cubs to his warband. This is the charr who named Bananas and Plantain BTW! He made a sword just for little Nanas 💕💕He would take them fishing, teaching them "the ways of the fish". Nanas would make little doodles of her sire as a gift.

Dam: Caesia Fierceslayer

Not the best relationship with her mother. Caesia is all about reputation as she is respected by many, so she kinda pushed that on her kids. She expected them to be fierce warriors, something she could be proud of. Caesia was Bananas's Primus in the Farhar which didn't help their relationship. Her mother took her job seriously and expected the Berry warband, especially Bananas to do the same.

Personality

Whitestar is a snarky, ambitious cat, and has been since he was a kit. As he aged, he kept these qualities, but grew from an annoying, know-it-all bully of a kit into a talented, well respected warrior who teased his clan mates the harshest, but light-heartedly. As a leader and a father, though, pressure caused him to crack, and his short temper became harsher and his scathing remarks became blades.

History;

Whitestar was born to Onxyleaf and her mate, the previous leader, Owlstar. He was mentored by Owlstar. His trial was won on the first try by a mere hair, but he completed his chosen task without assistance.

His best friends growing up were Volepelt and Weaseltongue.

His mate was Mousewhisker.

He mentored Willowgaze, Lilywatch, and Silverfang.

He was made deputy by his mother, Owlstar, when he successfully challenged and defeated the previous deputy.

When the eclipse happened and Sunshadow was born, he was scared, horrified even. Terrified of what it might mean, he tried to rip his only daughter off of his mate's belly, but Volepelt was faster. The large brown tom dragging his leader out of the nursery to protect his sister and niece until the leader's madness passed with the darkness over the sun. He still hasn't earned back Volepelt's trust, nor his mate's.

He has lost six lives at the beginning of Pinepaw's story. One to a badger found on their territory, two in separate skirmishes with Mossclan, one to a strange loner named Whisper he caught on their land, one to a fellow clan mate in an attempted coup, and the most recent to illness during the previous winter.

He has recently been told a prophecy by Berrytail, their medicine cat, that his final life will be taken by a strange white cat with two differently colored eyes.

Berrypelt was a grumpy cat who fools with many loners in his time, not caring for the personality of his clan but not wanting to leave the thick cover of the pines for the other open, dangerous territory. He did his time for the clan, and forced Featherstar to let him retire, threatening to kill his kits if she didn’t. He would never, but the news got out and his younger two kits, now apprentices, avoided him. He doesn’t have many to go to anymore, but he doesn’t care. He basically waits for sickness or death in the elder’s den.

I know everyone is tired of revisiting the same arcs over and over again (who are we kidding, mainly tpb), but I actually really enjoy these stories being told from different perspectives.

Leopardstar’s Honor made that scene at the gorge with greystripe so much more intense and heart wrenching when Whiteclaw isn’t just some faceless cat you’ve never heard of before. It fundamentally changed my view of Leopard as a character when I realized just how much vulnerability and trust she put in Greystripe in accepting him into Riverclan. You have to ask yourself why she would do something so out of character. It leads to examine her relationship with crookedstar and silverstream, and the whole politics and emotions of riverclan during her lifetime. Just that scene adds so much depth!

One of the things I adore so much about warrior cats is just how many cats have these hidden worlds that we just don’t have time for in the main series. It’s an endless rabbit hole of depth and backstory that I love losing myself in

Firepelt/jaw(Orghullo) writing. Started as a word vomit. Ended up editing it and messing with it. Now it's a short story of his fucking LIFE.

Firepelt is a fighter. Ever since he was a kit, he always prides himself in his prowess and blood thirst. He is a powerful and strong warrior under both Whitestar and Shellstar. Son to a hardened father called Dogheart and a brazen, proud mother named Redfoot.

He manages to keep a very boisterous and happy attitude despite this, mostly due to his aunt Berrytail's gentle teasing and his father's dry humor in the face of turmoil. Still, he doesn't go easy when training his apprentices. He follows Shellstar's trials and sees them as tests to make the clan as strong as the Heart Oak.

He is certain his path lies in this violence and that one day he will go out in a blaze of glory and flying fur.

And then he finally meets Owleye and Spidergaze's mother. Once just Blossom, now Blossomsky; She's a beautiful seal-point cat with short fur, with many scars from her time in the city, fighting off intact males. She never crosses much with the big clan-born male. Not until he has to help patch a hole in the Nursery.

And she's so very soft spoken and kind.

He falls instantly.

She's a forever queen, looking after kits when their mothers can't and making sure the nests are all lined with the softest moss. She helps Berrytail and then Pinestep with deliveries.

And all of a sudden this rough and tough fighter is in and out of the nursery himself, helping her carry large loads of moss and patching the branches that protect the den, even reinforcing them with thorns.

They have a litter together, to absolutely no one's surprise. A big litter, of seven! The biggest Oakclan has seen in a long time. Pinestep reads this as a good omen from Starclan. Little Mousekit and Bearkit had also been born only a few days prior.

And then came the drought, and the fire. A fire that caught and refused to die down. Firepelt is on a patrol when it starts. It's someone else who smells the smoke, and it's Spidergaze who comes clawing through the underbrush, in an uncharacteristic panic.

The nursery caught fire.

Firepelt, ignoring everything else, ignoring the fire that catches his long, dense fur, throws himself into the burning den.

Pinestep is in a panic, blindly dashing between the little bodies and ordering his mates around. They take all of the bodies to safer, wetter ground by the rivers.

He drags them out, all of them. Their coats blackened and nearly unrecognizable. He burns his jaw on coals he assumes are yet another kit, but continues even so.

Only Petalkit, Mousekit, and Bearkit survive.

Firepelt is a mess, unable to speak through his bleeding mouth. But, he is crying all the same, even as he curls around the tiny Petalkit and Pinestep tries to treat his wound, he presses his face into Blossomsky's charred fur.

Volepelt, the old tom and father of the other two, is much the same, though less injured and thanking Firepelt over and over again for saving them.

Once it's clear he will not fully recover from his wounds, Shellstar--in a strange streak of kindness--calls for their ancestors, even the recently deceased, and renames Firepelt to Firejaw. To honor his courage to tear flames away from their kits with his bare teeth and offer him retirement into the elder's den.

He only agrees to take it... if he may still help in the Nursery and assist in his daughter's mentoring.

Obviously, he's allowed. Even though he's still technically in his 'prime', his wound keeps him from being able to deliver a proper bite to prey to kill it, and one of the apprentices' tasks is to shred meat off the bones for him to be able to eat. The apprentices don't tend to mind, because he'll tell them stories while they do. Oakpaw especially loves listening.

One day, he does pass. Peacefully. Beartooth suspects an infection that settled into tissue he couldn't feel in his mouth until it was too late. The cat who once thought he'd go out in a blaze of glory, dies in his sleep, surrounded by kits and family.

He does get to see Petalfang become Deputy, but doesn't live to see the dog attack that takes Shellstar's final life and leaves her as leader.

When Petalfang opens her eyes in Starclan to receive her nine lives, her family is waiting. Her mother and siblings she only remembered as smells and soft noises, and her father, his eyes full of happy, proud tears. He's honored to give her her first life as a leader. For courage to do what it takes, no matter the cost.

He chants her new name the loudest.

  Okay, so... in order to develop Shipovnik and Raspberry better, I need to make more stories about them and I need more characters for them to interact with.

 Therefore, I'm opening positions for guest characters in three new short comics:

 1. Pokerface.   Shipovnik and 2-3 guest characters play poker. They can be of any species and gender, but need to be old enough to play poker, especially with an adult. Those characters will be friends or at least good acquaintances with Shipovnik.

 Shipovnik is great at keeping a perfect pokerface, but has a habit of emoting with his element. Naturally, he's going to lose the game spectacularly.

 I could also use some help from someone who's actually played poker ^^"

 2. A Workday. A comic showing Shipovnik at work. A rich employer is required. Any species and gender, but they have to be a 1st class citizen with a garden.

 Shipovnik is a nature dragon and employs his element to work as a gardener. ...he also occasionally has elemental accidents if he emotes at work, but he fixes them.

 3. Art of Friendship.

 During her time in Warfang city, Raspberry goes to an art gallery and admires some forest-themed paintings. The character needed for this one is someone who also would come to an art gallery to admire forest-themed paintings, so that they could bond with Raspy over that. Any kind of friendship can blossom from it, and even more than friendship is possible if your character is the appropriate age.

 Raspberry stays in Warfang forest most of the time, but occasionally comes to visit the city. She loves forests, hence why she admires paintings of it.
