friday fic f*ckery (wip wednesday 2 days late)
blurb | she returns! with updates! later than promised! new cv/sm snippet, after ..... six months :,) well, work kicked my ass, ch236 certainly didn't do any of us any favors, and then I f*cked off to latam for a month of vacation. but I'm back!!! rested, tan (for ca the 2nd time in my life) and freshly (re)inspired. so we can have some cv/sm ch2 snippet, as a treat ;a;
premise | we're entering culling game territory. that's all imma say for now. well ok, not much happens here, I mostly just wanted to show signs of life lol
Satoru is falling.
He’s falling, rapidly dropping from at least half a kilometer skywards. Cursing the inherent capricious fickleness of Prison Realm—Prison Realm, Buddha, Hell incarnate, whom- slash whatever has stuck him in this never ending loop—he rights himself midair, fumbling his graceless way through multi-seals of Red and Blue until he’s maneuvered himself from horizontal to upright. He cushions a dense amount of amplification/reversal beneath the soles of his feet, puffs an audible breath, and looks down.
Beneath his feet stretches a silver-black, opaque barrier. By cursory glance he estimates its radius to at least a handful miles. The skies above are overcast, though bright; the light spearing through the banks of cloud bounces off the barrier, giving its matte gray hull a sheen which flickers and wobbles in stretches of paces and tracts.
The barrier is an obvious giveaway: this is a Culling Game colony. Satoru’s well enough familiar; remembers a stretch of eight sleepless hours in which he’d devoured dossier after dossier of news clippings, incident reports, stat compendiums and autopsies, two weeks into the Culling Games, and a scant forty eight hours post-unsealing. He remembers boring naked eyes into a painstakingly noted, three-dimensional map-cum-graph of the Culling Game territory; affected regions: Tohoku, Kanto, Chūbu, Kansai, Chugoku and Kyushu; confirmed colonies: Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Yamamashi, Aichi, Shiga, Kyoto, Hyogo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Kagoshima.
Satoru has taken in the broad sweeps of Tokyo’s metropolis from far above one too many times to mistake wherever he is for anywhere closeby. What he chances: a large city along the coast; given his current proximity to an Eastbound shoreline, as well as a considerable expanse of forested areas and roiling, yellow fields eating into the scenery, he’s going to assume he’s either a few hundred kilometers North or South of Tokyo. Maybe Miyagi. Or Chūbu.
The barrier is too dense and too cleverly constructed to allow Satoru to peek through and glean more than the most base information: cityscape and skyline are barely visible, the shapes and contours which oscillate beneath the ripples of the sky-in-the-barrier appear like a mirage out of focus. There is vague movement far below, tiny prickles of dots which move every which way. Every few intervalled seconds reveal noiseless, sepia-tinted flashes. Explosions.
Well. There’s only one way in which he can proceed, unless he’d planned on hightailing it out of there. Which he hadn’t. Satoru, at this point past the point of expecting the worst—and somehow, cyclically, living (dying, really) through it—makes his way downwards warily.
He doesn’t know what to expect, in truth; twenty nine years, an indeterminate number of days, weeks or years inside Prison Realm, plus an unknown bout of days cycling through iterations of timelines which may or may not have actually occurred—he’s been exposed to shoddy veils cracking around the density of his own cursed energy; written tests covering the cursed fundamentals of purification barriers; barrier techniques specifically tailored to keep him excluded from what’s outside, safely contained within.
He doesn’t know what to expect here.
Satoru touches down on the barrier.
“Yo! I’m Kogane!”
If he weren’t blasé about the most outlandish of jujutsu techniques being shoved in his face by now, Satoru wonders if he wouldn’t have reared back into guard. He squints at the cursed spirit which has materialised in his face out of thin air. He’s read himself to the basics of this, but it’s his first time seeing it.
He’s about to reply ad hoc when it continues, voice tinny and clearly electronically scrambled. “The death matches known as the Culling Game are underway inside of this barrier!! Once you step in, you’re a player too!!”
“I—”
“Knowing that, will you go inside anyway!?”
“That’s morbid,” huffs Satoru.
The cursed spirit, Kogane—its structural composition isn’t all curse, atom constellations mashed down somewhere halfway between cursed spirit and inanimate object—undulates and flicks its tail. It doesn’t go on, seemingly content to wait for his reply. It’ll have to be in the affirmative or negative, Satoru guesses. A game interface, then. Curse based, but all in all a tool.
“Sure, I’ll tap in.” What’s adding some more death, decay and public property destruction to his already considerable tally?
Kogane’s tail whips twice, ceasing when it’s a perfunctory line, its arrow-like tip pointing straight into the glassy dome beneath. Beware, ye who enter—but here’s a map, lest you get lost en route to the deathmatch arenas. “Tch, sick bastards,” he mutters.
When it next speaks, its delivery is robotic, flat: “Gojō Satoru has joined the Culling Game. Would you like to review the rules?”
Satoru has already reviewed the rules. Most cold, factual data obtained and recorded on the Culling Game had been cursory at best—and guess work and estimates at worst—Ijichi plus Nitta times two had managed to patchwork sorcerer’s statements, CCTV and aerial scans, and classified government reports into a general debrief: the (probable) how’s, when’s and why’s of the game.
“I’m  good,” he says.
Kogane tuts. Mechanical and rote though it may be, it sounds chiding. Then it disappears, flickering twice, its shape disrupted by something static-adjacent until it bleeds out of sight and mind.
“Huh.” Satoru waits on the spot for a few seconds—parses out a few seconds, in case there’s more incoming.
Nothing else happens. He rights himself, and sinks a foot through the barrier.

Congratulations on 3 years! Can I request leather bag forBakugo? Thank you so much!
I took 4 million years to answer this. I apologize. My new teaching job has literally sucked every ounce of energy I have. I'm starting to get into the routine now though which gives me time to write again :)

“This is us!” You look over to your boyfriend excitedly as the train beings to slow down for the next stop. You hop up from your seat and reach for your bag resting on the overhead rack. You had changed trains twice already, but the fatigue of traveling was outweighed by your eagerness.
“I’ve got it,” Bakugo sighs while gently nudging you forward up the aisle so that he can grab your stuff for you. There’s an uncertain scowl on his face as looks out the window. “Are you sure this is right?” From what he could tell, you both were in the smack-dab middle of nowhere. There wasn’t even anyone else on the train, which made him wonder if there was really anything out here worthy of seeing.
“Uh, I think so?” You shrug sheepishly as you exit the train. There wasn’t even a train station where you were, just a concrete platform in the middle of endless rice patties with the silhouette of Mount Iwaki in the distance.
“You think so?” Bakugo repeats, fighting the urge to push you back onto the train before it could leave both of you stranded.
“It’s fine,” You slip your hand into his as the train pulls away and the complete stillness of being alone sets in. “Look, we’ll just follow that road. I think we have to go to that tower over there.”
Bakugo had to admire your sense of adventure. To him, vacations had always meant sunny places, relaxing days, and nice hotels. Ever since meeting you though, he’d found that discovering new places, trying new things, and getting out of his comfort zone could be just as rejuvenating as lounging on a beach or going to the crowded and overpriced places where most people spent their holidays.
He keeps a comforting grip on your hand as you both hike up the road towards the tower you’d spotted. A car would pass by every couple of minutes, but the walk was spent in solitude for the most part. Despite his uncertainty, Bakugo enjoyed the chance to chat with you about the nice old lady you’d both met at the first train station this morning, possible ideas for dinner that night, and what adventure you might go on the next day. It wasn’t often that he got to be out with you without people gawking or coming up to ask him for a picture or autograph. Being out in rural areas like this gave him the opportunity to feel like a normal guy.
“Look! People!” You tell him teasingly as you come up to a small gravel parking lot sitting at the foot of the tower. There were a few cars parked there and a handful of people meandering the area, all of them older. A man in a uniform was stationed at the door of the tower with a roll of tickets. Bakugo pays for two and then lets you go in front of him to start climbing the stairs since they were too narrow for you both to walk side by side.
When you reach the top, you step out onto the balcony high above the ground and let out a hum of surprise. “Katsuki! Wow!” He steps out right after you, sliding his arm around your waist protectively even though there’s a railing to stop anyone from falling.
“Oh!” His eyebrows shoot up as he takes in the view. The seemingly normal rice fields you’d walked through before had actually been used as a canvas. Different colors of rice plants had been strategically planted to create a massive work of art that could only be appreciated by a view from above. “They made the Momotaro fairy tale.”
“It’s amazing!” You pull out your phone to try and take a picture even though the art was too vast to fit in one shot. “This is certainly worth the trip over, don’t you think?”
“Yeah, definitely!” his replay comes quickly and genuinely. “Here, turn around so we can get a picture together.” His apprehension from before had all but vanished. He should’ve known you’d never suggest something that ended up being disappointing. And even if you both did end up somewhere dull one day, the experience of journeying together always seemed to strengthen your relationship and bring you closer than before.

20. Where do they go on holidays?
I can easily see these two having 2 spots/destinations where they like to go and stay.
One in Japan, in Aomori, and the other in France, in Biarritz. I can see them liking mountains better than the sea, but they're happy to have both near their vacation home/hotel. They choose these because they are very good destinations to relax and unwind, and still have things to do so they don't stay idle.

Hirosaki - Finding One of Japan's Last Original Castle
Hirosaki makes a good day trip from Aomori. #livelifelove #Aomori #Japan #travelogue #wintertales #snowscape #cityscape #Asamushi #onsen #introvertedtravellers
Aomori prefecture is an oft-overlooked tourist destination, much less Hirosaki. At a 45 minute train ride away from Aomori city, it was an even smaller city, but with a castle! When planning for the northern Japan holiday, we understood that most of the vacation would be covered by day trips. Aomori city, being a key transport node in northern Honshu, was a “base city” to explore the bigger…

Cherry Blossom Season Has Arrived In Japan
Tumblr media
The official start of the cherry blossom season, which usually starts in late March to early April, has now been announced by the Japanese government. Due to the warm weather, this season started early. A major tourist attraction in Japan is the blooming of cherry blossoms, also known as sakura.
As usual, the cherry blossom season in Japan starts in late March or early April, but this year, the season began a bit earlier. Japan has recently announced that the cherry blossom season has officially begun.
Known as sakura in Japanese, cherry blossoms bloom in April and attract many tourists from all over the world. Who doesn’t love an endless sea of pretty cherry blossoms?
Tumblr media
During hanami, people enjoy picnics and admire the cherry blossoms in parks, gardens, and other outdoor spaces.
Cherry blossom season is usually mild, with plenty of sunshine and blue skies, but there can also be occasional rain and strong winds that may cause the blossoms to fall early.
The stunning beauty of the cherry blossoms in Japan, combined with the joyful atmosphere and rich cultural traditions, make cherry blossom season an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves nature and culture.
The cherry blossom viewing (hanami) spots in Japan are numerous, but some are better than others. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, and Ueno Park in Tokyo are popular with wildlife viewers. In addition to Hirosaki Castle in Aomori Prefecture, the Philosopher’s Path in Kyoto, and Himeji Castle in Hyogo Prefecture are some of the best places for hanami.

Top 5 Japanese Vacation Locations
There are 14 subprefectures in Hokkaido and Kamikawa is definitely arguably the very best sub-prefecture in terms involving popularity among Japan tourists. This element of Japan still retains its Japanese charm. The very best several weeks to come upward this way is in This summer and August, or perhaps even in September. Winter is ok too for anyone who is experience a bit brave and can manage driving on unmarked icy roads together with almost zero presence through your windshield owing to sporadic snowstorms. On my very last trip up, I actually stayed at a place called Ryounnkaku, a hot spring hotel that folks travel from the significantly to experience. It is the kind of sizzling spa that 1 must sit within to appreciate the particular natural surroundings of snow-covered mountains highs. I have sat with night in a start air bath inside the middle of a snowstorm! kamaboko food don't declare lightly nor must i state it with all the minimum bit of hyperbole, but a reality. I got sitting inside an open atmosphere hot spring health spa in the midsection of a night-time snowstorm to the particular point that I had to wrap my personal face in buy to breathe. No picture was feasible at that moment. Yes. For us this was a holiday of a life time. Where else inside of the world can you go and perform this type of thing? Nara, our house were impressive. Not any trip to Land der aufgehenden sonne (umgangssprachlich) will be complete until Nara was in your itinerary. The importance of Nara, being the former capital of Japan, is fundamentally one particular of the almost all important centers associated with Japanese culture plus religion. Here in Nara you can find first hand the fusion between two extremely old and venerated religions; Buddhism and Shintoism, the previous getting from away from The japanese, and the last mentioned being of Japan origin. Evidence associated with this union can be found when visiting the temples in and around Nara, where 1 can immediately sees Shinto Shrines on the same environment as temples. Merely travelling Nara, one particular can have a perception of reverence in addition to the timeless beauty of centuries of Western history and lifestyle. Hakone, a town known mainly for its natural warm spas and lovely scenery, is home to Lake Ashinoko and even Japanese fish muffins. Old Timers specially enjoy stopping by means of here to relive a period when presently there was no tourism. They also create trips here to take pleasure from sweet bean buttocks and fish muffins. The thing I actually like about Hakone is that nevertheless many tourists go here, the town has not was a victim of the ubiquitous tourist barriers found in numerous major vacation areas like Hawaii plus Thailand. You no longer see shop proprietors trying for power their products to you, and haggling is almost unheard of down here. I hope it remains that method. That's probably precisely why I keep coming back again there and exactly why I chose it since a top escape spot. Niigata, You may or may not have had some sort of chance to see the rugged backbone regarding Minakami, nor the sweetness scattered about typically the northwestern corner regarding the Kanto Region. And you may well have never heard regarding little off the defeated track stations want JR Yubiko subway tunnel station. Probably time is funds for you. Although some say the indicates you determine to get to be able to your destination is certainly not important, which getting there as soon as possible is the best method to complete out and about of your trip, I say, no. I totally disagree. Just how you arrive at your destination is just as a lot a part of your vacation while being at the desired destination. I had assured myself years before that I would attempt this kind of epic 7 hours journey across several of Japan's most pristine backcountry. Convey trains can get to this area in 2 hours and 35 minutes. Here you are at the particular real Japan. Aomori, Shirakami is an enormously densely wooded area straddling each Aomori and Akita Prefectures in upper Japan on typically the Sea of Okazaki, japan side in the Tohoku Region. The do itself have been acclaimed as a pristine virgin beech woodland preserve. What which means is, for the almost all part, is the fact that is actually untouched by deforestation and heavy structure projects, which is, using the exception regarding a few pavement and interchanges regarding accessibility, the complete forest has unspoiled beauty untouched simply by the scars regarding modern infrastructures and super highways. The virgin beech forest is an UNESCO World Heritage Internet site, home to 100s if thousands involving rare species; one that comes to be able to mind is the black woodpecker, a lovely much larger than average woodpecker found mainly during northern Europe and Shirakami. It's exceptional to see this type of woodpecker in other parts of Japan. Typically the best seasons to see are summer and fall months.

Lost in Japan
Tumblr media
Requested by anon - a picture of your request will be at the bottom of the post. Thanks for sending it in!
Pairing: Kim Taehyung x reader
Premise: Taehyung gets lost while shooting Bon Voyage in Japan with the members. Thankfully, he runs into you.
You were fairly certain that your eyes were deceiving you. Standing awkwardly outside of a convenient store, staring down at a map that one of the employees was holding up, stood Kim Taehyung.
His Japanese was only getting him so far. From what you could hear, it sounded like the real problem was the fact that he wasn’t quite sure where he was supposed to be in the first place.
You weren’t the only one that was starting to notice who was loitering about downtown Aomori.
Taehyung kept glancing up, assessing the growing crowds that were beginning to form, all of them waiting anxiously for the light to change to cross the street. The employee seemed to notice his worry, beginning to lose his patience.
“Take the map,” the employee sputters out. “Just buy it really quickly. It looks like you need to get going soon.”
Taehyung blanches. “Er...I don’t have my wallet on me...” he pats his jeans as though his wallet might magically appear. “Could I come back later...?”
The employee looks a bit uncomfortable, mirroring Taehyung’s expression. “I don’t know...if you’re lost already, who’s to say you’d be able to find your way back?”
You hardly realize how close you’ve gotten, but as you watch Taehyung’s eyes drop to his shoes and red color his cheeks, you take the last few strides up to him. Both men look up at you, apprehension in their eyes.
“How much is the map?” You ask without thinking, already fishing your wallet out of your bag.
Taehyung stares at you with unabashed embarrassment. “Oh, really don’t worry about it. We’ll figure something out.”
You shrug, already handing over some cash to the shocked employee. “It’s fine. You’re not from around here, are you?”
Blinking at you like you might have suddenly grown another head, Taehyung slowly shakes his head. “...no. I’m not. Do you know...who I am?”
Biting the inside of your cheek, you barely manage to contain your grin. “Do you mean have we met?” You shake your head, taking the map the employee extends out to you and folding it meticulously. “No, I don’t think we have. Are you lost?”
Again, Taehyung looks a bit dazed but nods his head nonetheless. “I am, actually.”
Now you allow yourself to smile at him fully, fidgeting a little at how intensely he’s looking at you. “Well, I can call you a cab if you want. Just explain to me where you’re trying to get to.”
“Can I trust you?”
You blink, heart aching a little at the question. “I would say yes, but I’m a little biased. But either way, it looks like you’ve got about...ten seconds to make a decision.”
The traffic lights change, and suddenly a horde of people are making their way across the street and heading straight toward the convenience store. The employee has already retreated indoors, appearing to be boarding up for a storm. Taehyung looks back and forth between you and the other group almost comically before stepping toward you.
“Alright, let’s go.”
~~~~
After some careful maneuvering through the convenience store and out into the back alley, Taehyung chuckles. You give him a quizzical look, marveling as he runs a hand through his curly hair.
“What’s so funny?”
Taehyung shrugs, giving you a genuine smile. “I feel like James Bond or something!”
“I’m pretty sure James Bond doesn’t get lost so easily,” you tease, heading down the alleyway with the idol in tow. “So where exactly are you trying to get to? Describe it to me.”
Taehyung does just that, and you recognize the location almost immediately. “Really? I know exactly where that is.” Heading toward the street, you wave down a cab. “I’ll just give them the address and they’ll take you straight there-”
“Um, about that...” Taehyung watches with a wary eye as the cab pulls over. “I don’t have any money, remember?”
“Ah...I’ll just pay him right now. Don’t worry about it.”
You lean down to speak to the cab driver but stop as Taehyung’s hand lands on your elbow. Ignoring the blush undoubtedly creeping up your neck, you look back at him.
“I’ll Venmo you,” he says.
“...ok.”
“But...”
“But?” You straighten, frowning. “What?”
Taehyung looks at the cab, chewing on his bottom lip. “Well, don’t you want to get your money’s worth?”
~~~~
And that’s how you ended up here, sitting in the backseat of a cab giving Kim Taehyung a tour of Aomori.
You whiz past several monuments, wracking your brain for some sort of historical fact you can give the idol. Whatever you do say isn’t all that impressive, but Taehyung goes along with it.
“You’re an amazing tour guide,” he croons, a teasing smile on his lips. You roll your eyes, pointing out the window to the setting sun.
“And here we have the sunset. This phenomenon happens every evening, and is often subject to many poor-quality photos.”
Taehyung laughs, going along with your joke. “So why do people take pictures if they don’t turn out right?”
You shrug. “I’m not sure. Maybe because they want to remember it? But it never turns out as good as the real thing.” This time you laugh along with Taehyung before something catches your eye.
“Oh!” You all but shout, pointing frantically at an upcoming building. “This is the hidden gem of Aomori. Best restaurant ever.”
Taehyung follows your line of sight, eyes landing on a dingy restaurant. it’s small, one of those that you’ll miss if you blink. He smiles softly, glancing back over at you with a curious expression. Leaning forward in his seat, he taps the cabbie on the shoulder.
“Pull over please. We’ll be stopping here.”
You try to protest, frowning at him. “But we’re not there yet, and it’s too far to walk-”
“We’ll take another cab,” Taehyung reassures you. “C’mon. Dinner’s waiting.”
~~~~
And that’s how you ended up here, seated across from Kim Taehyung in a restaurant that you’d never realized was so run-down until you were bringing a global star through its doors.
He doesn’t seem to mind, though. No, Taehyung is grinning as he orders his food, looking over at you every so often. You do your best to not notice, with no success.
“I’ll have the yakitori as well, please,” you manage to choke out. Hopefully the warmth inside the restaurant is a good enough excuse to cover up the redness in your cheeks.
Taehyung sips on his drink, pulling his phone out of his pocket. “Here, let me Venmo you.”
“Oh,” you start, shrinking back in your seat. “It’s fine, really. This was kind of my idea-”
“No, it wasn’t,” Taehyung clarifies. “And now I’m treating you to dinner. So, Venmo. Now, please.”
Looking at the way his hair falls into his eyes and those eyes appear so solemn yet boyish at the same time, you wonder if anyone has ever been able to say no to him.
You certainly can’t.
Taehyung begins asking you simple questions, and you fire them right back at him while you wait for your food.
“Why are you in Japan?” You ask, taking a long sip of your drink. Taehyung sits back in his seat, looking around the restaurant.
“I’m visiting with friends. On a vacation of sorts.”
“Of sorts?” You arch an eyebrow. Taehyung smiles softly, eyes alight with some sort of inner glow.
“How do you know your way around so well?” He asks, completely ignoring your latest question. You decide not to push it.
“I’ve lived here for a while,” you shrug, watching as a waiter appears with your chicken skewers. Your mouth waters at the mere sight of them, and Taehyung chuckles while watching how your expression changes. “Cheers,” you croon, immediately diving in.
Taehyung follows suit, groaning as the chicken makes his tastebuds dance. “This is amazing.”
You grin, waving the skewer in the air before chomping down. “Told you so.”
You’ve made it through nearly two skewers before you realize that the two of you have been eating in complete silence. Glancing up, you see that Taehyung must be thinking the same thing as he looks over at you with a sheepish smile.
Covering your mouth, you cackle and relish in the way Taehyung laughs right along with you. He’s read your mind, setting down his skewer and quickly answering a text before returning his attention to you.
“Are those your friends wondering where you are?” You ask, heart dropping a bit. Taehyung nods.
“Yeah. I told them that I’ll be back a little later.” He grabs another skewer. “Should we head out?”
You finish off your chicken, trying your best not to look a little crestfallen as you agree. Taehyung smiles warmly, thanking the waiter profusely as the two of you head out.
This time Taehyung waves down the taxi, repeating the address you told him earlier. “That’s the right place, right?”
“Yeah, you’ve got it.” You take a step back. “Thanks for the food.”
He looks back at you, the cab drawing nearer. “Thanks...for everything today.” He scratches the back of his neck. “I actually had a lot of fun.”
You grin. “Me too.”
Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he chews on his bottom lip for a moment before extending it out to you. “Could I maybe have your number?”
Now you’re unable to stop grinning, and you quickly type your number in, triple checking that it’s correct before handing his phone back to him. “There you go. Now, you should probably get going. Cab’s waiting.” You begin to walk away, not wanting to look like some lost puppy as he leaves.
Taehyung nods, that dazed look back in his eyes as he hesitates. “Actually...” You whirl around a bit too quickly to be casual, but he doesn’t seem to notice. “Could we maybe take a photo together?”
You smile, recalling a bit of your conversation from earlier. “Don’t tell me you’re one of those people that takes low-quality photos of the sunset.”
Taehyung’s face lights up, a laugh rumbling through his chest. He meanders over to you, smiling down at you. “What? I want to remember this.” His eyes convey the message that his lips fail to speak. I want to remember you.
So you smile for the picture, and ask him to send it to you. As you wave goodbye as the car takes off down the street, you jump a little when your phone pings twice in a row.
The first is a message, the photo Taehyung just took.
The second is a Venmo notification sporting a ridiculous amount of money with the caption, Cab $ - let me know when you make it home.
~~~~
It’s only three days later that you find yourself sitting near the back of a large room, fans everywhere chatting or singing along to whatever song is currently playing. You smile down at your phone, Taehyung’s contact coming up as he sends off a text.
Tae: I’ll call you in a couple of hours, heading into a meeting. 😊
You snort. He has no idea that you’re here, does he?
The past few days have been a dream, living in nearly constant contact with Taehyung while he enjoys his time here in Japan. However, you never quite found the right time to tell him that you actually know who he is. Let alone the fact that you were going to be in attendance at the fan meeting today.
A couple of moments later the boys appear at the front of the room, and the event begins.
Your heart pounds as you line up to meet the boys, clutching the item in your hands that you brought for Tae. Most of the boys don’t recognize you, which you expected. Only Jimin gives you a double take, but he shrugs it off a moment later.
He must have seen the photo Taehyung took with you.
Tae hardly looks up from where he’s focused on each fan, making you smile. The sound of your heart pounding fills your ears as you step forward until you’re in front of him. He’s looking at the fan that just left, who’s still speaking to him.
You slide your photobook across the table to him, and he immediately begins to sign it.
“Have you been having fun so far?” He asks, still not quite looking up at you. You grin.
“I have,” you say. Then, sliding the same map you bought from the convenience store toward him, you say, “I got you this. You know, just in case you decide to get lost again.”
Taehyung frowns but looks at the map. His mouth falls open before looking up at you, that beautiful smile taking over his features. He has to physically restrain himself from leaping up, but settles for grabbing your hand in his.
“Hey,” he breathes out.
You smile, and wonder for a moment if you’ve stopped smiling in the past three days since you met Taehyung. “Hey. So, do you like your gift?”
His eyes never leave your face as he grips your hand a bit tighter. “It’s great, but I don’t think I’ll need it.”
“Oh?”
“Not when I have you as my personal guide.”

HI HAHA it’s been a while! i thought i would be able to keep up with a blog but i thought wrong 💀but i’m currently fixated on Bakuten!! so here are some random hcs hee hee
AO HIGH
onagawa has definitely made a powerpoint on how ma-chan is the best tan tan girl, and he forced misato and futaba to listen to him
“LOOK AT HOW PRETTY AND PURE HER SMILE IS. LOOK AT IT-“
while they were doing this tsukidate walked into the kitchen and IMMEDIATELY left because he knew if onagawa saw him he would be dragged in too LOL
later he went to shichigahama and was like “don’t go into the kitchen, onagawa made another one of those powerpoints.”
they last like 2 hours too?? misato would literally rather be doing anything else, and futaba is just impressed as to how he has enough information to go on for so long
they all cry when dogs die in movies, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.
misato and watari’s lips are quivering, futaba is actually shedding tears, and the third years are full on crying
tsukidate is the type of person that when he trips and feels himself falling, he just does a handstand, then gets up and walks away like nothing happened.
everybody around him is like 😧
watari really enjoys MHA, his favorite character is kirishima
since futaba likes reading dictionaries, his mom entered him in a spelling bee in like his second year of middle school and he won first place
when misato stubs his toe or something, he doesn’t say ow. he just scrunches up his face in pain and slowly falls to the floor and sits there for a good 2 minutes (this may or may not be based off of me idk)
onagawa has never been to a tan tan girls concert, but the team is secretly saving money to buy him a ticket
tsukidate cried watching your lie in april
shichigahama is always making new sasa kamaboko flavors, and he’ll just randomly go up to any of his teammates and be like “can you try this and see if it’s good?”
tsukidate went on vacation once and trusted the team to take care of his plants (he gave them instructions and everything) while he was away. he was not pleased to see all his shrubs, succulents, and his bonsai tree flopped over dead.
literally did not talk to anyone for a day. he was not happy.
futaba always has blankets with him because he’s always cold
onagawa is not a morning person, you have to give him at least 30 mins until you try and engage in conversation with him
watari does not like spiders. at all (he’s said before: “yeah they’re manly and all, but they’re even manlier if they stay away from me”)
nobody likes game night because all they have is monopoly and uno, and tsukidate is incredibly good at monopoly as he wins EVERY SINGLE TIME. and futaba is also really good at uno
watari drinks milk straight from the jug
watari ALSO likes to leave empty cereal boxes in the pantry (which irritates tsukidate and onagawa)
misato is very easy to startle, so people will always unintentionally scare him and make him jump
SHIRO HIGH
they actually get together with ao high a lot
sometimes tsukiyuki will be nowhere to be found, chances are he invited himself over to ao highs dorms
they’re honestly not even phased
everybody, and i mean EVERYBODY is scared of mutsu.
the GLARES that he has given some of his teammates has literally sent chills down their spines
the team as a whole thinks that ominato should lighten up and not be so uptight so they all try to include him in stuff
he has laughed ONCE, and it was more of a snort
they were cracking jokes about some of the other gymnastic teams and he was like “pffft-“
everybody just turned their head and looked at him bc wow i didn’t know he was able to do that-
it’s not uncommon to just see tsukiyuki doing walking handstands around the dorms instead of walking normally
tsukiyuki can actually dance really well
ominato usually has headphones in, but the volume is always so high up they can hear him blasting Aomori Nebuta Dream with his stone face (nobody ever bothers to tell him tho)
tsukiyuki has snacks on him ALL THE TIME. like chances are if you were to stick your hand into his tracksuit pocket you would find like a bag of cookies
he’ll really eat anything but his favorites are oreos and potato chips
tsukiyuki has most definitely been mistaken for a 12 year old and he uses that to get free food
azuma needed braces. i can’t really elaborate on that, but yeah
despite his go getter attitude, he’s really respectful to adults and upper classmen (you would be shocked how polite he is)
another one that uses his baby face to get free food
ryugamori is really quiet, but once you engage into conversation with him his whole personality changes
he’s the type of person to talk on and on about what he’s passionate in, but once he realizes he’s been talking for too long he’ll get embarrassed and be like “oh sorry, haha” (no pls don’t be sorry continue)
surprisingly very competitive
despite his usually calm demeanor, he is terrified of haunted houses and stuff like that
went into one with the team and shrieked the whole time
all of them are so close where they can just be in the same room, doing different things and not saying a single word but it won’t be awkward
AND that’s all i’ve got lol, hopefully the bakuten fandom enjoys these, they were very fun to make!

I love that you are answering questions for AAPI Heritage Month. I have a few. First if you don't mind me asking (I don't want to violate anyone's privacy) what part of Japan would you consider home? I know you grew up in America, but what part of Japan did you visit the most? I lived in Aomori Prefecture for 3 years and everyone who asks me about Japan just asks about Tokyo or assumes that all of Japan is like Tokyo. I love hearing about different parts of the country (Tokyo included).
When I go to Japan, I primarily visit two places: Yokohama and the Miyagi prefecture in Northeastern Japan because that's where my two grandmothers lives.
I tend to stay a shorter period in Yokohama, during which my grandmother and my father's side of the family takes me on vacation to other parts of Japan. I live in a small coastal town in the Miyagi prefecture for the majority of the time (for the entire summer back when I was a kid!).
The Miyagi prefecture definitely is what I would consider home because not only do I stay there most of the time, I'm a lot more familiar with the town and the people. I have several friends there, I used to attend school for a little bit there, and the majority of the family on the mother's side gather there for holidays. Because it's in the country, there's so little there compared to Tokyo but it's definitely home!
People definitely forget (or don't understand) that Tokyo is not all of Japan hahaha, I totally get that.

14 Slice of Life Anime to Watch
For those who don’t watch anime, the first thing that comes to mind at the mention of the word “anime” is those pervertic lewd jokes which they’ve seen on clips and meme circulating the internet. I don’t even know what anime are those.
But little do they know of the wide variety of genres available from war action, crime thriller, historical fiction to slice of life. So sharing here is a list of slice of life anime which I’ve watched and hoping to discover more of such genres.
They’re basically a relatable and chill anime with no complex plot involving die-hard enemies out to destroy you, that sort of thing, the only enemy these characters are trying to defeat is life itself or their inner-self.
They’re just stories of characters just going about their daily lives, trying to find their place in the world. I not only like the heartwarming relationships they shared but the scenery of these places too which are simply beautiful.
They’re so pleasant to watch. It's kind of like the anime version of curling up under the blanket on a rainy afternoon and just feeling good, makes you feel all calm and relax, when you simply want to chill and switch off your mind. And hey, if you know any similar type of anime that I don’t, please share with me! I’m currently looking for more of such anime to watch in these stressful and uncertain times!

Chapter 11
The Shaman Life
Commentary by @legendarywarriors-sk using scalations by ShinGan from #MangaProject on Dalnet
Summer vacation has just passed and Manta wasn't able to see Yoh during all of it. We see him again back at school with bruises and scars all over his body from "Anna special training program"
We see Yoh tired and cranky for all the hard work he has to do but he also mentioned how he wants to be worthy of Amidamaru, show us the reader how Ren's words and almost losing Amidamaru deeply affected him. He then explains to Manta how Anna forced him to train and study all summer long while Manta slyly mentions how impressed he is of her, since she was able to force Yoh to do all those things. Anna surprised both by being the new transferred student. Now we know this will be a new life Yoh needs to get used to, not only to protect his good friend but also to achieve his goal to be the Shaman King, for that he needs to be prepared for everything and Anna is here to make sure he is in tiptop shape for it.
Tumblr media
Later we found Ren in what it used to be the burned building back in chapter 5. Making the building look abandoned and burned out to don't attract attention while he lives there, since he is now the owner of the place. Once again we found Ryu in search for his Best place with his gang after being chased out of the cemetery and the boxing ring, but they are quickly dispersed by Ren.
Enraged by his failure to get Amidamaru, he takes his frustrations out on Bason. Which his older sister scolded him for it, reminded him that is not a proper way to act. We are informed Ren is also the heir of a proud and powerful shaman family just like Yoh, and who wants to help him win the position of King, which Ren declined saying he will want to win this for his own sake and not for the family, showing us once again how Ren is not great as a team even with his family.
Then, It's finally revealed what's inside the ominous black box in the middle of the room, a very strong looking corpse called Lee Bailong, controlled by Jun herself, she is a Dao-shi a "Corpse herder", I particularly love how many more types of shamans and spirits we are shown, telling us there is not one way to be a shaman.

Random Trivia!
-Did you notice the Butsu Zone looking characters entering the school? You can see Jizo, Senju, Anna, Sachi, Bato and Ashura (the last two I'm not so sure) -We can see a little Takei on the cover of the chapter -Anna is from Shimokita, Aomori prefecture, this is a peninsula district, up north of the country. This in reference to Hiroyuki Takei himself since he is from Yomigita, Aomori. -Ryu's gang are homeless, that's why Ryu always make comments about housing in Tokyo, a place where is very hard to find a place to stay if you don't have enough money to pay rent several months in advance. -This is the second time Ryu gets his hair chop off -Tao Ren and Bason names in mandarin are Dao Lian and Ma-Sun

Bought that Pash (January 2020) with the Shin and Kakeru artwork which was a bad idea and I should feel bad. (It was an expensive magazine to buy for just a one page interview...) But at least there aren't any other magazines out right now with King of Prism Best 10 stuff in them.
The interview with the producers did have some interesting stuff in it about the upcoming movie.
The context of Shin's new show is that he'll be performing it in the fall after Prism One at the Rose Party (also confirmed Prism One took place over summer vacation) as another apology/thanks to his fans.
Also apparently we'll be getting English lessons from Dorachi and... Aomori slang lessons from Torachi. (Torachi speaks!!)
