Everyone needs to escape sometimes. Take a moment to relax and enjoy the peaceful beach; you will feel rejuvenated and refreshed, just like a new person! I still love things that you don’t even need to pay for. Going to the beach being around five of your friends and having a good time means so much more than going out and spending hundreds of dollars. At the beach, life is different.

Time doesn’t move from hour to hour but from mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides, and follow the sun. The ocean is sweeping in. The waves are cresting, and you’re wrapping up in a blanket on the beach with friends. It’s cold, but you’re warm. That ocean breeze is sweet, and you can’t take your eyes off the water. Now that’s one fine day that doesn’t have much to match it.

I hate throwing out pens, so I save my dried out Sharpies to do quick sketches with. The rough dry sharpie nibs make neat marks. Seahorses are a great shape to sketch, and their rough exo-skeleton bodies are perfect for the Sharpie. ⁠
