You know what this series got me wanting? Mandalorian-Jedi AU where Ezra is suddenly a little brother when Ahsoka comes back to the temple one day with Sabine all ‘she’s not force sensitive but she’s awesome and bit Master Krell really good so I like her’ and Hera, the temple pilot who’s dating Caleb Dume is all ‘that’s a good one can I adopt that one???’ And doesn’t wait for an answer before that’s her new baby and now Ezra is a baby brother and had someone to run off to whenever a new litter of lothkittens are born.

As I have no other place to vent this not fic here you go. Okay so Star Wars modern au meaning no Jedi order bullshit and lineages are family lines. Obiwan son of Qui-Gon is 23 after he’s just finish his poly sci degree. He is thriving until his dad get him involved in a mess peace’s out with shim now Obiwan has to raise his nine year old brother. Grandpa dooku is too busy and gramps yoda is too old. Anyway this is mostly about obiwan being a secret slut while pretending to be wholesome 1/2
(2/?) wholesome dad to Anikin. Ani is under the impression for year that obiwan has a tone of close friends he has sleep overs with. The illusion is broken when one of his highschool friends regonizes obiwan from their sibling/cousins grinder hook ups. (Padme, rex whoever) Quinlan give much shit for his slutty ways while raising a totally not his fault kid. To be clear Quinlan wouldn’t give him as much shit if he was actually raising and oops baby and not his fathers bastard(?)
Okay, let’s shift a few things to streamline this:
I can’t imagine Shmi would peace out with Qui-Gon unless there was like. Significant nonsense going on? So I’m going to say that Anakin came to whatever modern Coruscant is on some kind of children’s study visa and Shmi stayed behind in whatever the Tatooine equivalent is. He was going to stay with Qui-Gon for the study abroad program, but:
Qui-Gon got invited to give some kind of botanical bioengineering speech overseas, and then got arrested for ??? reasons. I’m going to say there was nude environmentalist protesting going on.
Anakin’s visa got... weird. Tatooine entered a period of civil conflict so nobody can fly from Coruscant to Tatooine, so he can’t go home, and Obi-Wan panicked and signed on to have temporary custody after the visa expires because obviously Qui-Gon’s going to be home soon, right? RIGHT?
Dooku is on House Arrest on the other side of the city (Serreno Neighborhood) and it’s okay to leave Anakin at his house for a few hours here and there but actually living there is. Um. Well, the feds would get involved.
Yoda is at an old folk’s home in the same town as Obi-Wan’s university (he’s doing grad school) that he regularly escapes from via the windows and Obi-Wan is going to commit a murder on instinct the next time he walks into his kitchen at 5AM to find Yoda sitting there in the dark. He’s going to throw something. Shapeless quiet horrors in the wee hours aren’t comforting, great-grandfather!
Anakin’s new best friend is the toddler next door, Ahsoka (Plo Koon’s foster daughter), because she likes to wander into the garage where Anakin’s working on Cool Science Things to ask questions about things she doesn’t understand. Given that she’s four, there’s a lot that she doesn’t understand.

Do you like or dislike Reylo Rey/ben, not a stan or anti or anything, just curious :)
My answer to reylo and gaslighting concepts is found in the Jakku starship graveyard.
But come on people... It's BEN and REY...it's BEY.
I will say that there's a lot of writing concepts and follow through I don't agree with on both character's but their depictions and actors were well chosen.
The idea that you're 'nothing' is only one another person or circumstance can place in your mind...
********************************
Rey, as a person, had strikes against her from the womb like most people of her biological gender do.
X- poverty striken
X- woman/underestimated
X- alone
Rey hustled, she worked, starved, slept and lived in fear and loss for the biggest part of her life thinking 'Maybe they'll (her parents/anyone) come back, or not but I'm here and alive and I'll wait'.
As most of us come from nothing and make what we are so it was nice to see an inkling of representation because that is what Rey did; showed that a lot of the population on the screen.
People who have nothing but the things they hold dear and the five dollars for the next three meals.
Rey fought for everything she had, what she didn't know she learned. She had to prove her worth and her right to be where she was every freaking day/hour/second of her life and was still kind and noble and true.
Her concept was the makings of a great person who was flawed and broken but so freaking nice and helpful and determined, not just a written hero.
SOMEONE you could admire irl.
She did what we hope we would do, stay hopeful and fight on even in the hardest moments when her heart ached and there was not a thing to cure it. She found a family, however fleeting and a ship she grew to love as her home and she learned about herself. Period.
The power Ben had, Rey did not need. NOR DESIRE. Why? She had her own. (AND IT WAS STRONGER THAN HIS, JS.)
**SHE WAS NEVER NOTHING.**
She was always someone, Rey simply wasn't on the same or a similar path to being who Ben was(according to the ENTIRE galaxy).
I say that, but I'll also say this, just as Ben failed the galaxy by being Kylo. The galaxy failed Ben by not just letting him be Ben.
Ben was always someone to somebody (including people he'd never met or would meet.) He was like the prince of the freakin' galaxy.
A prized possession like Anakin (his personal hero/grandfather) was to Obi-wan(crazy old Ben).
Which let's be honest, someone dropped the ball on all the parental talks about Darth Vader and the serious misconceptions.
Nobody is perfect but somehow Ben was meant to be.
His mother, the general.
His father spending his life consumed with finding his prized Millennium Falcon.
And his Uncle Luke, righteous as ever.
And why?
Ben was a SKYWALKER. A JEDI. A SOLO. A SAVIOR.
FROM THE MOMENT BEN SOLO WAS AN IDEA... HE WAS ALSO A CONCEPT.
Ben had to live up to himself and failed according to family which we have all felt too and he more than hated it.
It's cliche (and more truth than fiction) but, the more expectations you thrust on MOST kids, the more they crack under the pressure.
You go and teach them how to think for themselves, fend for themselves, go to summer camp with Uncle Luke and learn about the force.
It's all exciting but then, the rules. Suddenly its all right and wrong and say 'No there's restrictions' when you control your power you can use it.
Sooner or later doing things you're not supposed to sounds amazing. Like 'Let's join a utilitarian cult and kill some good people like my grandpa! Yeah!'
Sometimes regret happens, sometimes people thrive in it and sometimes both.
*Someone really should have just rolled tape on Darth Vader's regret and it would have saved the galaxy so much trouble.*
