DREADFUL NEWS. I have to cancel the show tomorrow night. I'm so sorry. I'm sick as a dog. My #Amsterdamage has left me with a bad cough and sinus thing. I'm so sorry! I am thinking of rescheduling to 2 weeks from Friday, or the 10th of November, and just doing a Phooleoween show AFTER Phooleoween. What think? I'm so sorry. I feel awful canceling! Contiki Eastern Quest, Last stop, Amsterdam

The trip to Amsterdam from Berlin was going to be our longest bus ride of the trip. Very slow and sleepy bus trip and after our second stop our tour manager, Dylan, decided to wake us up by playing the coach Olympics. Bus is split between two and we had a good half an hour playing the game, my team lost :(, then went back to chilling in the bus till we had arrived. Arriving at the hostel we were given options of what to do for the night, go to the event our tour manager arranged or go and explore, we decided to join him, which was a good decision because it was pouring down and the event was indoors. Not getting into the event because it is Amsterdam but it was a hilarious night with the group. After that we went to a bar and had some drinks then headed back to be ready for our last full day with the group.

The next day was a day of exploring. Started off with heading to Edam to see the cheese and clog place and learnt about that from a very funny man. After that tour we rented some bikes and had a bike ride with a great tour guide around Edam, was a great change from walking everywhere and feeling like we are doing more. We got the bus back into Amsterdam and as some os us did not arrange anything with the group so we just wandered around Amsterdam and looked and the Architecture :D. Such a great city and I would recommended anyone that wants a cheap and wonderful place to get away from life for a few days, You can feel like a tourist and a local at the same time in Amsterdam. Since it was our last night with the group we all had a big night out in shots bar and things got wild and the night went on and on but a great way to say bye to everyone before the tears the next day.

Morning after and we got at 730am to sat goodbye to everyone getting the bus to London and only a handful of us stayed in the city and it was quite sad to say goodbye to everyone after spending 24 hours a day together for 9 days it was really strange. As the bus left us behind we went back up to bed till our check out time. Heading up to our new and cleaner Hostel and then said goodbye to our honoury scot, Hannah, as he was heading back home to America. Since it was just the three of us we decided to chill for a few hours until dinner. We met up with the other Contiki crew that were also left behind and we had a great, chilled night eating and chatting about the trip. It was agreed we would do a walking tour together the next day since we only had one more day before we went our seperate ways.

Met up with the rest of the Contiki group and started our walking tour with the Free walking tour guides you find in cities, I would recommened doing these if you want a more local way of looking at a place and definetly tip them at the end if they did a good job and you learnt alot because they are doing the tours for free. The tour was very informative and felt like normal for us since this was basically our whole tour trip anyway. After the tour we went shopping and then grabbed some takeaway dinner and took it to Voldenpark. Honestly it felt like the perfect way to end the trip, in the park with new friends good food and a nice warm summers night. Things got emotional again since we were goodbye all over again and us scots had to runaway before it got too heavy for us.

Im back home now and I may be ill but I certainly feel like ive experianced alot. I have thousands of photos to look through and edit (going to take me days to do that so dont judge my blog photos too much!!) But for any solo travellers or groups of people or even a couple I would highly recommened Contiki to travel with!! Our Tour Manager, Dylan, and coach driver, Bartoz, were absoultely amazing and very informative. The stress of organising and booking everything yourself is taken away, everything is done for you and you only need to worry about how much money to take and how much stuff to take and if that is not enough you meet great people on your coach. From only knowing these people for 9 to 13 days I can't believe how close you can get and how much you do not want to say goodbye. When I move to Canada I am thinking I might book another Contiki for over there so I can get some local knowledge and meet people.

After the trip I am Fat, poor and happy! feels great and now I just have to task to get my photos sorted so you will see them in a few days!

My next trip is a day in London and that will be my next blog post on Sunday.
