BEN drowned headcanons

hey so the pull said yes so imma give you My BEN drowned headcanons

Warning - one of these mentions s3lf h4rm but not like, in detail. It’s mainly talking about his emotions in that one.

BEN has long hair, like not very long, like about three - to - five inches beyond his shoulders. He puts it in small ponytails sometimes:)

he does smoke weed, but he’s not a chainsmoker/stoner. He only does it like, once a week when he’s particularly stressed.

he paints his nails sometimes, usually black.

He likes video games… …ok, I lied. He LOVES games. He’s also kinda good at them - ok I lied again, he’s is GOD at video games. Well, Nintendo that is. Which leads me into the next headcanon-

he once played Minecraft with Herobrine. He legit couldn’t figure out how to mine wood😭 he can’t play EA, Sega, Mojang, et cetera. It’s hilarious watching him try… he can beat any Nintendo game, he’s perfect at Nintendo and has every Nintendo game, console, comic, anime, YouTube video, etc. on his shelf. Oh, also the merch. Yet, he still cannot do any other company. He just knows the way Nintendo writes their games. (Talking to every NCP, big worlds, no-skip dialogue/loooong no- skip cutscenes, etc.) any other way a game could be written feels foreign to him, I guess. Like Minecraft, he was so confused when the villagers and zombies didn’t have dialogue lol.

The reason he ended up latching on so hard to Majora's Mask is because of the stress of being born into a cult, his cult (the Moon Children) are known for blood letting and their gore-involving rituals. He became slightly skeptical and that’s why he was killed (or ‘sacrificed’) by the Father when he was. His only escape from this madness was his friends (pre-death Lost, Glitchy Red and Strangled Red and Herobrine. They were the gaming clique, although his friends weren’t in his cult.)

he’s a crossdresser, you can’t change my mind.

he has a really cool Princess Peach cosplay but doesn’t wear it out bc he’s trying to protect his ‘bad boy tough guy’ reputation. Only Lost has seen the cosplay, since BEN only really opens up to Lost.

Lost Silver x Ben there’s no telling me otherwise.

BEN drowned is asexual and gay. Lost is asexual and biromantic.

BEN struggles with s3lf h4rm. Herobrine (the game pastas consider him like a father, G. Red even calls him Dad sometimes) is the only one who knows about this and tries his best to help. BENs issue stems from the blood letting in the moon children having given him a twisted perspective on how to cope with trauma. He’s trying his best.

BEN is fine with showers, but he’s afraid of pools, baths, oceans, rivers and bridges that go over water. (He was dumped off a bridge and that’s how they sacrificed him.)

He has severe trauma from Majoras Mask, but it helped him through the hardest time in his life back when he was alive… he has mixed feelings on it. N64 is still his favorite console though, so he plays the old N64 Mario Kart tracks on his switch. He considers them friends from a simpler time.

ik this was proven not canon but I love the dynamic so in my au headcanon thing Sally Williams is BEN’s half sister. (Hence the different last names.)

his mother and father divorced when he was eight when his Mom found out his Dad has been raising their son in a cult.

his Mom took Sally, who was three at the time, and moved. BEN had always been a daddy’s boy though, so he decided to stay with his dad. (Plus his mom didn’t let him play Majoras Mask on his 3ds when they went out but his dad did, so theres also that.)

BEN [ Behavioral Event Network ]

BEN was initially implied to have been created by Ben's ascension, which took place on April 23, 2002. Sometime between Ben's ascension and Jadusable's acquisition of the cartridge, several other members of the Moon Children ascended, with their spirits forming a network within the cartridge that came to be known as the Behavioral Event Network, which was then abbreviated as BEN. At some point during this time, the spirit of Ben was sealed inside the Elegy of Emptiness statue, rendering him unable to interact with the others.

BEN mentioned in TheTruth.rtf that Jadusable was not its first victim, meaning the encounter with the first victim must have taken place during this time. An unknown amount of time before Jadusable acquired the cartridge, it was left in the care of the old man.

BEN was first encountered by Jadusable when he bought and played the Majora cartridge. During the recording of day four.wmv, it appeared to manifest itself in the form of the Elegy of Emptiness statue, an action repeated each time the game was played. It drastically increased its activity during DROWNED.wmv, and even exercised the ability to either change the game from Majora's Mask to Ocarina of Time, or alter the video to the extent that it appears to be the latter. This video featured the first use of its signature phrase, "You shouldn't have done that..."

BEN's activity is believed to be initially minimal during jadusable.wmv, as it redacted the first half of the video (then called Matt.wmv) prior to its upload. Having promised to leave Jadusable alone if he helped it, it tricked him into playing further into its game. BEN wrote and posted the summary of jadusable.wmv in the guise of Jadusable's nonexistent roommate, and used the readers' obliviousness to escape via their download of TheTruth.rtf. It appeared to confirm its escape in free.wmv.

Within days of its escape, BEN began to utilize Jadusable's abandoned YouTube channel. The ciphers it posted led followers to youshouldnthavedonethat.net, the base of operations for a cult known as the Moon Children. The avatar used by the admin, DROWNED, contained a hidden image of the Elegy statue when moused over, hinting at a connection between himself and BEN. The next day, during the period of time in which Ifrit was able to communicate, BEN posted lyrics from "Who's That Knocking?" by the Genies, which implies that it was responsible for Ifrit's disappearance.

After the first reset, users figured out the system of using songs to affect events involving the Moon Children, which BEN confirmed. It was then unheard from until Ryukaki began uploading videos. The next mentions of BEN came from hidden files in YSHDT, including mhftt.txt and fate.txt. 2 featured the sound of drowning, a direct reference to BEN.

BEN had an account on Within Hubris prior to its termination.

After eight years of inactivity, BEN started showing up in thumbnails for videos uploaded to Jadusable's YouTube channel in March 2020. It finally appeared in iseeyou, in which it reveals that it contains multiple spirits, a fact not previously known. After the discovery of methodsofrevolution.com, it appeared to allow players to vote using the website, warning them them not to be hasty with their decisions.

The document TheRealTruth.rtf contained a new entry for CHILDREN.wmv, revealing a facet of BEN not previously known: that each of its inhabitants are separate entities that retain their free will and can interact with one another. During the period of time between the upload and premiere of THE FATHER.wmv, the spirits within BEN argued with one another regarding the video's title and whether it should be seen by the public. Ifrit would later confirm that Ben was indeed a separate entity, implying that the appearance of the Elegy statue during Jadusable's videos were Ben's desperate attempts to communicate with him rather than hurt him. Later, in The Prisoner.wmv, in-game Moon Children speak in a manner identical to that of the inner dialogue featured in the new CHILDREN.wmv entry

"do it." the screen said.

you looked at it.

"what else do you have to live for?" a broken, glitched voice spoke. it sounded echo'd, strange, as if it were your own thoughts.

there has been a ghost fucking with you for ages. a creature, one whom calls himself ben. apparently, its short for behavioral event network?

this fucking ghost- no, cybernetic monster- has plagued your mind. your dreams. your real life interactions and fucking behaviors. you've lost everyone. it's found everything. your family, friends, all of it. and its taken you away from them.

"what else do you have, hmm? we'd never lie to you when we say you have no hope left. just do it. pull the trigger. it will take the pain away."

you gripped the gun harder. no. you wouldnt let him take you.

"you're so useless. you simply cannot please anyone, hmm? not even us?"

suddenly, within the speed of lightning the figure of the man only imaginable within dreams appeared before your face. and in a matter of seconds, your gun was turned around and shot at him.

"tsk, tsk tsk. now now, thats no way to greet someone. why dont you try again?" he was behind you now, and when you turned around, he would only smile. he held his hand out. his movements had no fluidity, no animation, no expression. just choppy movements, most likely learned behavior.

you held out the gun again, pointing it right at that cursed smile that haunted you. his eyes squinted, however it kept its smile.

"thats not how you greet someone. why dont you try again?" he repeated, its voice sounding much more forceful.

"you wont win this stupid fucking game you're pulling. give it up."

it laughed. laughed with probably the most animation you'd seen this monster have.

"win? oh, why dear, thats hilarious! you never even stood a chance. in reality, you were never even a player in my little game."

"you li-"

"now why dont you try again? shake my hand." he said.

"fuck o-"

"now why dont you try again? shake my hand." it repeated, smiling widening. you didnt think that was possible.

"im not touchi"

for a split second, and only for a split second, his pupils became small and his smile dropped. "now. why dont you. try again. shake. my hand?" he said, his smile back. however there was a glint in his eye that, you could not get rid of. you could not resist.

you grabbed the hand.

"oh, dear luna."
