Apart from these, there is hardly any “Good” about this sequel. If you would like to watch Akshay Kumar in yet another of his series of flop films, you are most welcome to watch this one! https://youtu.be/s1j9Z01McSg?si=46vWpTs6w0uLf-jY The Bad: If you compare OMG 2 with its 2012 prequel which featured Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, it doesn’t seem to match up to it. In OMG, Akshay played Lord Vishnu and in OMG 2, he plays Lord Shiva. The fact is that the prequel was an entertaining comical family-drama but talking about this sequel, its plot and theme are completely based on a sensitive and bold topic! That is masturbation and sex education in schools. And I must tell you that this sequel got delayed a lot by the Indian Censor Board and 20 cuts were advised by the Censor Board in its screenplay, after which it was allowed to be released. Some of the scenes were so bold that they were not appropriate to be shown to the conservative Indian society. The argument-laden courtroom drama of OMG 2 lacks humor, is not convincing, and doesn’t instill a sense of belonging to the audience. The screenplay of OMG was exciting and this sequel lacks that thrill. Certain scenes in the screenplay are direly unconvincing as here you would see the prosecutor (Yami Gautam) delivering weird dialogues as if she doesn’t know how sex education is given at schools. She can be seen questioning the judge, “How can sex education be delivered at schools?” This was not appropriate for the character of a senior lawyer that she plays. As a senior lawyer, she has no idea how sex education is delivered at schools? You must be kidding me! She can also be seen asking Kanti's son at the climax, “Where’s your shameless dad?” Here I object because I agree that the boy was caught in the act of masturbating at school, but does that mean his dad is shameless, just because he is fighting a case for his son? https://youtu.be/XNMyasqlvew?si=lQxDaNizIb4-pTJ7 By the screenplay of OMG 2 not instilling a sense of belonging, I meant that it lacked emotions and also got confusing at times. As the screenplay proceeds, you will feel that Kanti Sharan Mudgal was fighting the case for his son’s readmission at the school, and in other instances, you will start feeling that he was actually fighting to make the school authorities feel sorry for what they did to his son. So, this change in attitude of the character of Kanti Sharan Mudgal (played by Pankaj Tripathi) creates a lot of confusion. If you ask me, his character does not stand up to the character that was played by Paresh Rawal in OMG. Talking about Akshay Kumar, seeing him as Lord Shiva was equally disappointing. I feel Akshay needs to decide what he actually is. Is he Lord Shiva or is he Lord Vishnu? Maybe in OMG 3, we will see him playing Lord Brahma. The editing of OMG 2 dragged the film for a good 2 hours and 35 minutes. To be precise, there are lots of loose patches. A sex education-based courtroom drama need not go on for so long. Gadar 2 is a road-roller action film in Hindi Cinema and if a sex education-based courtroom drama clashes with it, then that dull and mediocre courtroom drama is bound to get demolished by the immense wrath of the legendary Tara Singh! Janhvi gets Akshay and John’s slot - Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl will be out on an OTT platform on August 12 Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, starring Janhvi Kapoor, will be filling the Independence Day slot left vacant by ‘deshbhakts’ Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, thanks to the lockdown. Gunjan will be out on an OTT platform on August 12. The film, which was initially designed for the big screen, with shoots in Georgia after the location was changed because of the Kashmir situation, opted for the digital route, as movie halls have been shut for over four months due to the Coronavirus pandemic. “The film is a patriotic story and everyone associated with it felt that the Independence Week was the best time for its release. The Sharan Sharma-helmed biopic revolves around the life and the wartime efforts of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena who, along with Srividya Rajan, became the first two Indian women fighter pilots to enter the war zone. Gunjan’s job was to save soldiers from precarious positions and bring them to safety during the Kargil War in 1999. The officer was later honoured with the Shaurya Vir Chakra,” say sources. The film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in supporting roles as Gunjan’s father and brother, respectively along with Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij and Ayesha Raza. Covid-19 almost wiped out the thought from our mind that it’s summer time. From easy-breezy dresses to an array of tropical, paisley or polka prints to play with, we have forgotten how we rejoiced our summer vacations earlier in style. So to bring back that joy of summer dressing, we asked some of India’s most sought-after models to do a home shoot in the most fashion forward way. They were given a moodboard and asked to style their look, do their own hair and makeup and self shoot or take help from a family member who they are quarantined with. The results show that our models can replicate a professional shoot with utmost ease.

Tashi Pedy ( Anima Creative Management)

She is currently quarantining in Bhutan and she styled her summer look by cutting her ripped boyfriend jeans to make thigh-high shorts. The leftover part was used in covering her boots. “We realised that styling a look can help motivate an individual to think out of the box and be creative,” she says. For the top she used a part of her national uniform called the ‘wonju’ and broach to help the outfit from falling apart. The picture was clicked by her younger sister. “ I shot the outfit in more than five locations before we found locations with good light and setting. Shooting at home was challenging cause I had to work with the surrounding to create the mood,” she adds.

Sunny Kamble

The model got this shot clicked from his wife Kavita Kharayat Kamble, in their Mumbai abode on a lazy summer afternoon. Wearing a red baseball shirt which was unbuttoned and a pair of printed harem pants, he made his long, unkempt hair do the required drama. “I wanted to play around the colour red with white backdrop. Summer days for me is all about bright colours,” he says.

The model sports a tank top with a pair of track pants with a pair of Jordans. He further gushes that he got to slip into these Jordans because of the shoot. The shot was clicked by his sister Vani Duggal.” My hair was really kind to me so I didn’t really have to do much to style it,” he says.

Wearing a floral skirt teamed with a loose yellow tee and a printed head scarf tightly tied around the head and her braid, Sheryl posed up a storm. The shot has been clicked by her mother Rosama Francis. The colour yellow with the colourful floral printed skirt sum up our summer mood.

Adarsh Raj (Purple Thoughts)

Model Adarsh Raj showed off his newfound love for this paisley shirt which he teamed with a pair of track pants. The sneakerhead wanted to make sure his love for sneakers should also make for an element in the picture, therefore those shoe boxes lying behind showing his prized possession. The shot has been taken by his brother.

Dipti Pawar (Anima Creative Management)

For model Dipti Pawar, her favourite pastime during quarantine happens to be spending time with her pet. Channelling androgynous chic in this black bandhgala and her hair wrapped in a towel, this shot clicked by her cousin Deepak Pawar is everything we would want to do on a summer break.

Palak Singhal (Purple Thoughts)

“I love dressing up whenever possible and quarantine has given me enough reasons to do so and cheer up my mood,” says Palak. She wanted to raise the oomph quotient in the shoot and decided to wear a one-sleeved neon orange dress with a thigh-high slit. A pristine pearl neckpiece adds to the magic. The shot has been clicked by her sister.

Sharan Mahtani (TFM)

Model Sharan Mahtani’s mother Vanita Mahtani turned his photographer for a day and captured him posing on their terrace wearing a block print shirt teamed with black trousers and pair of sneakers.
