tagz. talk to me about nu metal! your blogging reminds me of the people i hung out with in high school (vast array of metalheads) but none of them were fully into nu metal so i’d love to hear what you like about it!!

OUGHHHH, yo. Yoooo. Yes! THANK you!!! THIS is what I’m TALKING about ehehhehehe >:). See, I’m ride or die for nu metal because no matter what band I’m listening to, it’ll give me something I want. Chugging hardcore instrumentals? Yes. Geeky synth lines? Hell yes. DJ scratches and loops? All over the place. Labored rhyme schemes? Check. Phat fucking bass? Uh-huh. Screaming, loathing agony? Absolutely. Weird self-satisfaction? You know it. Wrestling themes? I think more wrestler themes have been nu metal than any other genre, at least at one point or another. And it’s a wonderful gateway drug! If you’re going from the basic rap rock style you can go either way on that one. For me that’s been crunk and hardcore. Which then devolved into RnB and plain old punk when I’m feeling more mellow. Some people get more into the emo or industrial side and that’s chill too! And if I had to sum up the genre in a sentence, I’d say it’s basically music that punches you in the throat and/or makes you wanna do it to someone else. So yeah, nu metal is my baby.

I’m sorry for this rant but you reblogged my tags and I just… took that as permission to give you at least the slightly more detailed description (as opposed to the essay) of what I was thinking with those.

Your writing is not silly!! It’s really really good, and I am in love with the way you portray the depth of the characters. They’re real, they’re going through shit, they’re dealing with it in ways that may or may not make sense because, again, they’re real people! And I did absolutely notice how gently you handled the impacts trauma can have on wanting, or even allowing yourself to want. And not just sexual wanting, but any sort of wanting. And not needing to give permission to someone else but also needing to give permission to yourself!! And that it’s okay to both… want something but be uncomfortable with it. Or to not want something but want it so badly it hurts. And that there is no one single way to handle trauma. It was just beautifully done.

All that to say, I think you are an extremely talented writer, and I love seeing your name pop up on my dash. I’m very sorry you’re having a bad day, and my inbox/DMs are always open ❤️

i myself haven't read a ton of astarion fic because i've been so busy playing the game and writing a lover's folly but i know in other fandoms i've been apart of there's very little conversation about the impact of sex. both in and out a traumatic spaces.

obviously, i'm all for shameless smut and dark fic once in a while but even in fics where i've read the most emotional prose i've ever laid eyes on, it's very rare that the characters have a conversation about boundaries related to the bedroom.

most of the time i assume it's because the smut is the main focus in that moment, but i really do wish that more writers would take to time to show the sensuality that can be paired with consent.

because consent is sexy! it's beautiful and loving and further elaborates on characterization and dynamic and just all the good stuff when it comes to making everything real.

anyway, i don't know if any of that made sense. i'm just really passionate about building something that people can look at and feel something. so i'm glad in some way my writing managed to do that because if one person can read my work and think wow, they really did a good job with that, then that's all that matters honestly!

As a fan of your work, I just had to purchase a copy of The Beach Dilemma Full Color Comic and I think it is money well spent. The design of the characters both in terms of how they look and their personalities is brilliantly done. The storyline is very in-character.

Your art is always so breathtaking, I feel like you revel in doing really strong foreshortening and dynamic poses, like the majority of your pieces have dramatic perspective and it's always SO GOOD. And the shading/lining style is so bold and shapey I just !!!!! Love what you're doing !!!!

Thank you SO much for this! Posing and foreshortening have been things I've been working on, so the feedback that this has been successful, is freaking awesome!

Honestly it is something I've been enjoying doing more, especially with the color wheel pieces, and it's definitely satisfying when it comes out dynamic and still anatomically correct.

* Take your time, your health comes first and social media after * Take enough breaks! * Eat and drink enough (usually that's why I feel shitty) * Do things that make you happy rather than what you think would make others happy * Don't forget your meds * Go outside (if possible and safe) * Talk to a friend/family member

You can do this, I believe in you, I love your content and everything you do on here, but if it takes me not seeing as much of you for you to feel better, I'd gladly sacrifice that! Artist before the art.
