I also want to rant about AFO’s death cause WHAT?? Excuse me, but why was it Bakugo who kills him?? Isn’t AFO supposed to Izuku’s villain?? The whole reason OFA exists was for the sake of defeating AFO and saving people, so tell me why it was Bakugo who kills AFO!! It should have been Izuku who defeated AFO, not Bakugo!! I can understand if Hori did a team up with Izuku and Bakugo to defeat AFO, like I would get that cause teamwork makes the dream work, but for Bakugo alone to kill him?? It’s infuriating!! AFO vs Izuku was the big moment!! I’ve literally been waiting for it!! I wouldn’t have even cared if the final match with AFO vs Izuku disproved DFO, but now that’s gone!! I’m sorry, but I can’t accept AFO’s death cause he was supposed to be the final boss for Izuku. There has been a clone theory going around for AFO, though, where the AFO we see fighting rn is a clone and that the real AFO will show up at the end. I was a bit skeptical of this theory at first even if that would help my case with AFO not being dead, but I saw someone mention that in one of Hori’s previous manga the main villain, who happened to be the main character’s dad (big surprise there), had a clone of darkness power and now I have bit of hope towards this theory. Honestly, Hori is disappointing me a lot lately. First with that awful name, Bruce, then AFO’s death, and then Hikage being stolen.

On another note, even though I was upset about Hikage being stolen, it proves that AFO is related to Izuku. Since Danger Sense is stolen, it means that the 6 other quirks that Izuku has should be considered separate quirks and not one quirk mixed in OFA. This means that Izuku’s body is holding onto 7 quirks (let’s ignore that Danger Sense got stolen) and lets not forget that all those quirks are overpowered, so how is Izuku able to hold onto all these quirks?? Why isn’t he dead or braindead?? The only explanation is if Izuku has the ability to hold onto multiple quirks, and the only other person who is capable of doing that is AFO so they have to related in some form.

I had similar feelings about AFO's last battle. Also, Katsuki fighting a baby was just...lame. Even a dangerous baby still doesn't look like a scary opponent. Just pathetic and weird. Some weird narrative choices were made this arc. However I must admit it was funny that All for One died as he lived, completely without any dignity.

That argument can be added to the list of DFO evidence from fanfiction. However, I don't know if we can decisively say yet that Izuku's body can handle multiple quirks. Maybe Horikoshi just plans to put Izuku into a coma later. Also there was something about quirkless people being the only ones who can handle OFA, although I'm not clear on that because Aoyama can't even safely handle his one quirk.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 362 AND AN ATTEMPT AT META //

upon reading the chapter, do I still think bkg is not going to stay dead?

honestly, if horikoshi were ever to kill off a big character, this is exactly how I’d imagine he’d do it. elaborate, detailed, well-built-up, unavoidable, in-character, big beautiful full- and double-page panels, childhood flashbacks, lethal COD

but! with that said. this is bakugou. he’s the deuteragonist, the main character’s narrative foil (and childhood friend and image of victory and closest person and hero inspiration other than AM) and maybe I’m still deep in clownery but the minor events of this chapter felt very intentional. what was this panel of Second that scared shigafo? was it memory bc bkg looks like him? or build up for more, maybe the unlocking of his quirk?

a lot of people agree that however bkg ends up, his state rn will trigger izuku to unlock second’s quirk. is AFO realizing that bakugou will have ties to second’s quirk? is this a hint to what that quirk is?

back to is he will he stay dead. horikoshi made it very obvious his heart burst, an explosion out of his chest made obvious in the last double page spread where the blood is obvious. this is a very heavily emphasized lethal cause of death. horikoshi wants us to know he could not survive this…

….normally, on his own. this could be hori very clearly saying to give him up, he can’t get back from this, but I can’t help but think this emphasis is to set up for his revival. to make it obvious however it’s done is insanely powerful. unnatural, even.

yes I think second’s quirk will play a role in izuku bringing him back. I would have dismissed this for copium if not for the fact that second was referenced in this chapter, as shigafo yelled for bkg to die (literally: break).

hori loves foreshadowing. and leaving things unexplained in order to make a big scene. last we saw izuku, we learned seconds quirk has mutated. it’s unique. probably super powerful…. like if you consider the laws of nature hm

bkg’s death was so detailed, so gruesome, that it’s clear the point was to emphasize that he is very, very not alive. the thing is, hori loves to subvert expectations, so this could be to thoroughly kill him off in a way he deserves, or to make what happens next all the more exciting.

but maybe he’s dead! idk. it’s definitely not a coincidence Second was referenced before bkg died but it might have just been foreshadowing for izuku’s quirk awakening alone, no reviving involved. I just can’t wait to see what izuku will do in two weeks 😳

I don't care too much about BNHA, but do you know what I care the least about? Spoilers, so please if you don't mind TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN THE MANGA RN PLEASE I WANNA KNOW

So I am waaaaay fucking behind on the current manga(because I'm just getting into the series and am learning most of it through osmosis). The ONLY reason I'm paying attention is because my favorite character was very much dead for a hot minute there.

Things I know are happening:

I think this might be the final battle of the series where they're going to take out All for One(the Big Bad Villain of the series)

pretty much everyone is involved somehow. All the Heroes and Villains are on the battlefield. We get glimpses of every other character who isn't a combatant watching and reacting to what's happening.

Except Izuku, our main goddamn character, who is somewhere fucking else for god knows what fucking reason I'm sure it'll make sense when I get there but he's not fucking here.

We got Bakugo vs. Shigaraki fight where Bakugo def got fucked up but he did more damage to Shigaraki than expected given.... whatever the fuck is going on between Shigaraki and AfO I have no idea I'm not clear on that.

AfO was kinda fucked up from a thing that happened pre-Canon but he's now kinda healed but might be over-healing into erasing his existence but for now he is walking the battlefield dick out(which is making the fans go 'heart eyes motherfucker I'm down to forgive your war crimes!') and he's just stealing clothes(and Quirks) from random Heroes.

Back to my boy: Bakugo got very fucked up and like. Major damage to his heart and is kinda Mostly Ghostly right now and we get some heartbreaking thing about an All Might trading card he's been carrying for a decade that his dying thoughts are 'huh. Wish I took the opportunity to get this signed....'

Best Jeanist and Edgeshot are attempting to do some impromptu battlefield heart transplant which might kill Edgeshot in the process and has also had the fandom making 'Jeart' memes because as you can guess from the name 'Best Jeanist', his powers include manipulation of denim fibers.

I forgot to mention that this battle essentially girlfriend-coded Bakugo because Shigaraki is trying to tear him apart specifically to hurt Izuku when he finally shows up and sees his friend's dead body and I say 'girlfriend-coded' because 'hurting/killing a major character in an attempt to break our Main Character' is usually reserved for a girlfriend but Shigaraki outright said that Bakugo is the person closest to Izuku and is the death that would hurt the most. And while this is def true because they're main characters who have a lot of connections and history, most series would 'forget' this and trade this role for the female love interest to be in danger for the Hero to save.

So they kinda fucking Supernatural-ed it by making it gay and killing him off (though Bakugo is probably going to live).

Also Dabi is still kicking but extra crispy now and no one's sure what the fuck is up with that and I'm like 'my motherfucker in christ please stand down and get some therapy for your daddy issues'.

Which is unfortunately something I could say to SEVERAL characters in this series but I digress.

The tragedy of Aoyama

You know with the newest chapter leak it's really lead me to a sad conclusion about aoyama. This boy has most likely been alone his entire life. Those who are quirkless or even just having a mutagenic quirk instantly makes you an outcast in the world of MHA. We saw it episode one with the deku explaining how not all men are created equal and how horrible life is for those lacking powers, even for a small child for godsake. Being quirkless makes you the worlds punching bag by default and the 80% of people who do have the privilege of being born with a quirk people aren't taught to be sympathetic. They're practically taught they're superior. Cut to the few scenes we've ever seen a young aoyama with the first having him beg his parents as to why he was so different and in the latest chapter (despite being untranslated) it's obviously implied he was heavily ostracized and beaten by his classmates for a lack of a quirk. Going by how deku's life was up until high school I doubt anyone wanted to befriend the quirkless aoyama. At some undetermined point yet unrevealed he receives his quirk via a deal with the devil courtesy of his parents. (I'm debating if it was 100% for the sake of making their child happy or trying to avoid the shame of having a quirkless child but that's a whole 'nother topic). But I doubt this made his life any better besides now at least having the bare minimum to blend into society. Now that he has this power it's come at a high cost. One of them obviously being any form of normal social interaction. Now that he's linked to one of the biggest villains in the world he can never get to close to his peers despite now finally having a quirk. And now he probably can't even fully interact normally with his parents again because there is always the underlying factor of aoyama having to preform his new role well or they will all die. And that his parents got him into this situation. It's stated in the manga that he never goes out of his way to interact with anyone and now with the traitor/AFO reveal it makes sense why he didn't/couldn't. He couldn't risk his mask slipping for a second or he'd jeopardize both his family and his friends/classmates. But at the same time the sad thing is is that he's never had anyone in 1-A or in general reach out for him. He gets spoken over a lot, relegated to the background and generally ignored a lot with a lot of his stand out moments being chalked up to "oh he's being weird again". He doesn't seem to have anyone he's particularly close with or seen hanging out with. HELL he doesn't even eat in the cafeteria with everyone else he eats alone in the classroom when everyone else is gone. The fact that aoyama both as a person in the world of MHA and as a character has always been ignored as a whole has always made me deeply sad since I started MHA years ago. And now with this reveal I can only hope something is made of him and someone (most likely deku) will finally reach out to him and be there for him. This was a long ass rant my god but I had to get it out. In summary? I have intense feelings rn and I firmly believe that aoyama needs a goddamn hug. :((( I desperately hope he can get saved and not go out like lady nagant.

lady nagant would have been cool if only hrks didn’t attach her to such a loaded backstory after the hpsc already fell. what would you have wanted for her character?

tbvh I never really got attached to Lady Nagant but I was willing to give her a chance after seeing the split second of humanity when she stopped to release someone (Overhaul) from their cell while others were busy fleeing.

I think I would have preferred a scenario like this post says—or vigilante-turned-villain Lady Nagant or something similar to Twice’s backstory—a minor mistake in her teenage years led to her life going from bad to worse and finally ending up in Tartarus.

Even the whole connection to HPSC could have been plausible had it been handled well. For that, she should have been referred to at least once before by Hawks around the same time he was introduced or by Snipe (in a passing comment like: there is someone so much more skilled in sniping than me but I am not allowed to talk about her/them) and introduced before HPSC fell (as you say).

I was okay with her quirk (a quirk that can supposedly be used only for ‘villainy’) and her being scouted by AFO on her way out. But the whole stunt of her (she is one of the very experienced fighters from HPSC) being defeated so easily by Deku/ saved by Hawks with his sheer optimism etc. etc. added nothing to the story. Instead, had she joined the League and remained with them for the rest of the series, it could have been a real power boost (esp. now that they are missing a lot of members) and she might even have acted as a glue for the members to stick together in spite of AFO’s brainwashing (since she seems to have dealt with him in the past).

The League really really needs someone experienced in dealing with heroes, someone with inside knowledge, an excellent fighter and sane. She fits all the bills—whereas AFO seems more and more like a waste of panels rn. (Did he lie about his intelligence stats in his ultra-analysis sheet?)

Oh, and a very controversial idea perhaps, but I wanted to see more of Overhaul. Like, say he makes a temporary truce with the League (till he makes contact with his Boss or something and because he has nowhere to go anyway) and in turn, he offers to use his quirk to heal them (in the immediate aftermath of the War Arc where everyone on the villain side too were in need of medical help) and work toward his mini-redemption? No, I definitely don’t want him to go anywhere near Eri again but... I don’t know how to feel about his connection to the old Boss who took him in and raised him. Is that thread gonna hang there just like that or will it be resolved?

Either way, LN and Overhaul could have made an interesting duo as well (no, I don’t ship them but HK does ig lol) and just the news that these two have joined the League could have foiled all of the Heroes’ contingency plans and raised the stakes higher. Plus, made the story more nail-bitingly exciting as we move to the finale.

Also, also—I wanted her to meet Dabi and Spinner. A hero turned against the HPSC and one who regrets her corrupt activities could have intrigued them a lot and a team up with Dabi (since he is the only other long-range fighter on the team) would be terrific. She could have filled the shoes of Dad!Compress temporarily lol.

All in all, bringing her in for some three chapters feels like a waste of what could have been an amazing character even if introduced late in the story.

I just found out about the whole bn///a and tow things came two my mind: 1) the fy k. 2)THE FUCKK!!!??

I used to read this manga when it first came out and i honestly though it was going to be good they had a good story coming out and nice or cool characters desings but then came the anime (wich surprise me to go 3 full seasons but i undertood) i try to keep up.wirh the manga cuz that was i start it

But.as it goes futhure it lost its charms amd i lost interest ( the fandom they were too much) and left (the school festival arc wasn't even starting)

Once in a while a random post of them would pop out and see it some spoilers of them (da__bi was one of the most i saw at time)

I try to filter them.......looks how that turn out

But really, what the actual hell is happening?? Is super hell all over again but much worst,

And i can't stop laughing of how much non sens and caos is in this

OUUU OK A LOT'S BEEN GOIN ON IN THE MANGO BUT I THINK I CAN BREAK DOWN THE MAIN POINTS OF WOTS GOIN ON W DEKU RN

⭐️ p much everybody in the main cast knows deku inherited all might's power and that all might and all the other grown ups expect him to take up the mantle of "symbol of peace"

⭐️ All For One (the big baddie) has possessed shigaraki's body (the hand guy) and is causing a fuck ton of chaos bc he broke out all the baddest villains from bad villain superjail aka Tartarus, and lots of heroes have died and if they havent died a lot of them quit

⭐️ SO deku decides to leave school and go villain hunting full time, he knows everyone expects him to be the Greatest ™ and he wants to protect everybody AND KNOWS AFO IS AFTER HIM SPECIFICALLY TO STEAL HIS QUIRK(S) so he figures leaving is the safest option and all might supports him (and regrets it later)

⭐️ he leaves his classmates all a letter saying hes leaving (they dont take it well lmao)

⭐️ deku can communicate w the previous (dead) users of One For All in his mind space and can now use all their quirks + One For All so hes just this mASS BALL OF POWER STUFFED IN A 16 YR OLD

⭐️ deku starts to feel like he shouldnt rest until he finds AFO so he hasnt been eating/sleeping/cleaning himself off after each fight and now when ppl see him theyre like.. genuinely terrified of him bc hes covered in dirt and blood and looks like this

⭐️ FINALLY HIS FRIENDS STEP IN AND ARE @ THE ADULTS LIKE "HEY THIS IS RLLY UNHEALTHY AND FUCKED UP CAN WE GO BRING HIM BACK" and they decide ye maybe we shouldnt have put all are hopes on a fuckin teenager's shoulders that was kinda messed up of us actually (also they were using him as bait .. he agreed to it but WOW.. ADULTS PLS DO YOUR JOBS)

⭐️ SO all his classmates from 1A work together to bring him down and tbh they cant, even all together, hes just too powerful now so

⭐️ as theyre fighting him (hes fighting back bc he still believes he shouldnt stay/be around ppl for their own protection) they start yelling all the ways hes inspired them and how they wanna stand with him and not be protected behind him

⭐️ THATS WHY MINETA YELLS THAT LINE THAT GOT MISTRANSLATED AND MADE EVERYONE GO NUTS SLDKJD

⭐️ finally iida is the one who catches up w deku (w help from bakugo bc even if iida is the fastest in the class w all these quirks deku is faster now) and quotes deku back at him saying "a hero's job is to help even when they arent asked" or smth like that and that finally makes deku break down and theyre both crying!

It's actually weird that Tomura has only AFO the in his consciousness rn, because didn't AFO himself said that the vestiges of the quirks he has stolen would haunt him and torment him in his sleep? Where are those vestiges now and how is Tomura coping with them? I kinda want to see a Pov switch to see how the vestige world is like for him (other than the part where he is battling to save his own consciousness from being taken by AFO)

A very good question!

Maybe AFO perhaps has some kinda quirk to keep them away? Though that would have to be a very specific kind of quirk

Or maybe the vestiges he talks of are about the OFA vestiges? Because of the vault in OFA. I’ve seen a few theories about that vault door being a gateway to both of the brother quirks, a door that goes both ways, so to speak

Or I suppose that AFO suppressed these vestiges enough so they wouldn't come to the surface and haunt him or something (using his mind, not a quirk, to keep them out)

I wouldn't be surprised since the Void seems to largely be controlled by subconscious, and AFO has quite a bit of control there. Against his brother and Izuku, there was a tug-of-war for control, but I think AFO in his OWN Void, he'd have a lot of control over what came up

Though one thing I find very interesting in relation to this topic, now that I'm thinking about it, is this panel

See that city below? Why is it there?

With Tomura's subconscious being used in the Void, I wondered if it could maybe be the city he walked through as Tenko, and the hands floating around here could be the hands that neglected to reach out for him. And that is entirely possible!

But what if the city below is holding the many Vestiges of the quirks All For One took?

Just think about that for a second. All For One took SO MANY QUIRKS that he has AN ENTIRE CITY HIDING IN THE VOID to hold all of them

This man could have a whole goddamn civilization of vestige ghosts just. walking around in there

All For One is already such an expansive quirk. It holds so many powers, so I don't see any reason why AFO didn't just. sort his brain out and stash all of the vestiges in one spot, then hide it away

The Vestiges would still be THERE, they would still EXIST. It's just that they'd be hidden

And I imagine that the Vestiges were screaming for some kind of closure, some kind of help for the unrest they have, and All For One just smiled and said "Hey, what if I just make you guys a city, just like the one you lived in when you were alive, and you could spend your undead lives there, away from me? I think that solves everyone's problems"

See, the subconscious is a powerful thing. It hides stuff we aren't even aware of sometimes. It stores the memories we repress, the happy ones we never meant to forget, it has them all. So I think it's entirely possible that AFO just... imagined a place to stash them all, and kept it there

Especially if AFO is good at visualizing, he could easily make up this city and just shove them all in there

I don't think the Vestiges are GONE, or that he's lying, or that he just doesn't have any anymore. They just don't BOTHER him. Cause they're "living their undead lives" away from AFO, and allowing him to think more clearly

And, if we think a little deeper into this, those disembodied hands floating around Tomura could be the Vestiges reaching out for help or smthg

As for Tomura, I don't think he has the faintest idea as to what is going on. Or EVEN WORSE, AFO could have stashed HIM away too (to avoid Tomura from distracting him ig) and put him with the Vestiges in the city! Again, maybe not likely, but could you IMAGINE if that were true? It would be so horrifying

at this point d.ku saving shiggy would just feel hollow. of all these 10 solo d.ku chapters he hasn't had any emotional or mental development/understanding. Like d.ku just isn't where HK's writing shines. Not giving him any tragic backstory may have seemed like good subversion at the start but rn my emotional attachment to his growth/lack of it is just at an all time low. And yass way to make another pro hero look infantile due to MC-armour. Istg as soon as any character interacts with either en.dv or d.ku they take negative infinity in power, potential and likeability. Even the vestiges went down on the likeable scale. Also, these chapters were deserved more by literally any other character.

I'd begin addressing your last point anon, and by saying that while on one hand I agree with you, on the other I really understand that on some level (except physical) these chapters are needed for two reasons. First of all, because BNHA has picked up at ‘intense pace’ which translates into a lot of stuff happening all at once (It took us 285 chapters for Bakugou to admit that he cares about Izuku, and then we got in the span of 20 chapters Touya’s reveal, Mr. Compress face reveal, Mirio is back, BJ is alive, Todoroki’s backstory, Tartarus breakout, the name of the 1st OfA User, Izuku dropping out of UA, Overhaul and Lady N - just to name a few), which consequently means that we are fast approaching the final battle (excluding the Traitor affair, the grounds for the last arc are all already in place) of AfO against Midoriya, which bring me to the second point being Izuku, as also confirmed by himself, would not be able to save Shigaraki and also destroy AfO in the shape he is (or rather was, when leaving the hospital), meaning that he needs an upgrade of his abilities, and he needs it quickly. These chapters, unfortunately, are exactly that: a boring build-up needed in order to show us Izuku’s progress in managing OfA. Therefore, while I do agree that it would be nice to have other characters (from which we haven’t heard from in ages, like Toga and Bakugou), I also sadly understand why exactly we are at a halt in terms of ‘story progress’. And this is mainly due, as you pointed out, to the fact that Izuku is definitely not where HK’s writing shines, not in the slightest.

Izuku’s main flaw is that he does lack some sort of baseline growth which in his case should translate into less hero worshipping and more concentration into his rightful mission of wanting to change the status quo (by saving the villain). HK planted the seed, and at some point it feels like he forgot to water it, and while still holding the principle (on some level, as we saw in his fight with Muscular), it still feels very superficial for something that should be the main goal and more interesting lapel of the manga? I totally understand how someone would feel dejected when faced with this characterisation, especially if the character in question is the Main Character, the story is ending and he STILL appeals to the only thing which caused the entire problem.

As for me personally, I am still very much attached to Izuku and the Vestiges (because nowadays they represent an interesting development in the Quirk area, in a scientific and symbolic aspect, which I’d like to be explained and explored more, but let’s be realistic - this is a shounen and fans eat this content like famished lions just because it is content, with no critical thinking whatsoever), but I do admit that sometimes I feel frustrated because my main issue with BNHA is how is actually treats its victims and the way people feel attached to toxic traditions (and in particular Izuku’s attachment to the notions of hero as represented by AM, and his will to copy him in the slightest detail). This is even more evident for Endeavour, who seems a catalysis for bad decisions and just a cluster of condoning actions which would not be accepted if done by anyone else, and a lot of crap justifications about themes like violence and abuse, and the implicit lack of consequences each of these actions have in the manga (because preoccupied with more important things, sure - but I think a line would be enough).

Nonetheless, yeah - Izuku should have shown some kind of advancement (not Quirk-wise), but instead in a way to contrast Gran Torino’s view and the example set by older heroes, but instead we get a team up with those same heroes, with Izuku as a bait (which, very much is a problem for both him because he still disregards himself, and the heroes who accept this condition voluntarily) and now that they get separated and Izuku is fighting the possibly only threat (besides the remaining villain at large - and because I really cannot define Lady Nagant as a villain, more like an anti-hero) and he is still winning? Where is the realisation that maybe, even with his Quirk - what Izuku is missing is actually the experience of the pain and grief of this world, which he should have acquired since he appositely left UA? I would agree that until Izuku reaches a level in which he can admit to himself that heroes are not what this world needs, but instead a more inclusive and less-Quirk based society (and the fun fact here, is that he himself is a victim of that and instead he just lets it happen because he is selfless that way) which does not allow loopholes in terms of bad behaviour and where villains are not villains by default when they spur on a bad action, but instead can be guided on a different path - since no such injustices exist in the first place, it would feel very superficial and forced for him to save Shigaraki. It would be seen as a duty, he is forcing himself to make because he consider himself a hero, instead of the contrary and that he is a hero because he decided to save Shigaraki. I hope this can change in the next few weeks, and a good first step would be to have Izuku being overpowered by Lady Nagant - finally showing Izuku that weaknesses are real and that he is still human, and that there is no concrete rule by which someone could be judged as weak or strong (especially if we talk Quirks), and then finally brought forward to AfO, so we can see how he reacts to a. Overhaul; b. AfO; c. ShigarAfO.

I do not want to hope too much, but at the same time there are reasons for which I am still holding a candle for that. I hope this helps believing, even a little, that hope for a better narrative is still possible. Thank you for the question and thank you for reading.

As much as I hate AFO this panel looks really badass.

Seriously?!? You can use your magic to heal GT's wound that 100% should have killed him and give him consciousness, but you can't even have Izu wake up once? Tho I guess his arms and legs remaining intact is a miracle in and of itself so I can't really complain.

Well that answers that question. But how did Dabi even know where his mother lived? Or that he even had a mother for that matter. Also it totally looks like his wings might be growing back which I'm low key sad about. I really liked the idea of him permanently losing his wings as bad karma for killing Twice but, I'm not gonna complain if he gets his wings back either.

Also also, all these fake ass heroes that are just abandoning there agencies where only ever in it for the fame huh? The fact that Best Jeanist is still going out of his way to save those people pretty much proves he's legit. Suck on that haters.

MORE TOUYA BUT HE'S IN PAIN. So your just gonna throw in the towel just like that. I get your going through a rough time and all but you're still the number one hero dude. More than half of the top heroes have either died, retired, or are unable to work rn. Plus it's your fault Touya even became a mass murderer. You gotta bring him in to the light. I still think he's to far gone for it to even do anything but at least he won't be able to kill anyone.

Three things about this panel.

Rei looks like a total badass being framed by her kids like that. And I am so glad she didn't have another breakdown and that they let her out of the hospital.

That whole "Oh Enji isn't that bad he brought flowers so that means he's changed" demeanour is gone and replaced with "I've got a million and one problems and you are all of them" one and I am here for it. And the fact that she's taking control of the situation. I just love all the energy she's giving off right now.

Enji looked like he aged 20yrs in the page before this but here it looks like Hori said "fuck it" and added another 30. It makes his reaction to Rei's I'm-that-bitch entrance even more hilarious.

It's been a really rough couple of weeks for me. My country now has community spread and the cases in locals are skyrocketing so our PM issued a lockdown so I'm stuck inside now. Plus school is really taking up a lot of my time.

I read all four chapters today, mostly cause I got sick of YouTube almost spoiling me every time I open the app. Ngl it's probably gonna be mostly reblogs after this.

I'm very excited to see the family meeting next chapter if we get one. Time to relinquish your power Enji, the Ice Queen has arrived.

Mob is taken by Claw at a young age, and encounters Shou Suzuki while Claw is attempting to train him. Shou helps him escape, and they don’t see each other again until Claw threatens the world and Shou needs some help....

Reach Until You Can’t Anymore - chapters: 5/? - another hiatused mp100 fic hahahhh. cheesy romcom setup of adult Teru finding his childhood friend Shigeo working at a bakery in a small town, but ends up struggling when Shigeo doesn’t seem to remember him and also is refusing to acknowledge his own psychic powers.

suspected traitor oneshot - my take on the whole “aizawa sees something suspicious in izuku and suspects he’s the traitor” au, for a bad things happen bingo prompt fill. i thought i’d have it done by now, but im not super satisfied with the direction its been going. ive been trying to avoid the usual sus traitor tropes. have been considering “a pawn cannot move backwards” as a title

Izuku Gets Kidnapped(tm) - another planned multichapter. izuku attends the meeting of a “quirkless support group” and ends up getting kidnapped by a Quirk Supremacist cult that had been using the group as a front to abduct quirkless people. there’s a lot of dadmight and izuku still being his feral self even while quirkless planned here. no title ideas yet.

haunted OfA - unsure if I want this to be a multichapter or very long oneshot. a fic about One for All being SUPER haunted, moreso than in canon, and it beginning to affect Izuku’s behavior and memories. have been considering “Icarus” as a title but am unsure because I have another idea for a fic Icarus could also fit...

on the run au - a long oneshot that ive just been reworking and reworking ahhhhhghhg. information abt OfA and Izuku is somehow leaked to the media. Izuku has to go on the run as villains and heroes alike start trying to make a grab for the power. feat. class 1A being a chaotic family and helping protect izuku, and izuku realizing that his life and safety is just as important as anyone else’s. no title ideas yet.

failed rescue au - a long oneshot. nighteye’s vision of the future where overhaul kills izuku and takes eri back becomes real. overhaul escapes from the raid with eri and eraserhead, and every day eri learns more and more about what hatred feels like. no title ideas yet

!!!!! an interested person???? hi anon i love you know that i would die for you without hesitation. bless you for letting me gush over my aus. this might be a lil messy (and long holy shit) considering im answering from my phone but from memory here are my aus (which i aint gonna lie are mostly either angst, hurt/comfort or canon divergent, or a mix of the three) in no particular order:

heads up in literally none of my aus is midoriya hisashi a good parent. i mean in canon we know exactly three details about him being his name, his quirk and that he works abroad. that’s it. so, i don’t really like “good parent hisashi”. this au is basically ‘hey what if izuku got a fire quirk from his dad’ combined with my own personal views on fire, and then also deciding ‘wait what if hisashi and endevor did the same shit’. so it’s basically an au where izuku is in the same situation as todoroki.

it’s….kind of complicated now that it’s written down. in my head its p straight forwards?? anyways, basically my view on fire is that it absolutely shouldn’t be demonized as much as it is. because without fire, life couldn’t exist. it’s warmth and life and beauty. i just…think that view of it is perfect for izuku, and i always wanted to try my hand at fire quirk izuku.

also one of my few aus that’s actually gonna have a ship focus?? in that it’s tododeku but honestly knowing me i might end up accidentally dropping that aspect of it like i tend to do a LOT bc of my inability to write crushes (im an aro who’s never had a crush so me writing romance is…awkward at best lol)

the one where hisashi is a villain

i have……admittedly a lot of versions of this au. it’s by far one of my favourites to think about, for several reasons actually, mostly bc of angst but also because the hurt/comfort potential there is incredible.

my most current version of this au though plays with the idea that in the mha society those with ‘villainous’ quirks get discrimated against and pushed so the only chance they do have to survive is to turn to villainy. in this au i play with hisashi and inko’s quirks a little to make them more villainous and easier to discriminate against, for example hisashi can cremate anything he touches into ashes at will, and inko can minorly manipulate the limbs of other people although she’s mainly limited to pulling them towards her or pushing them back.

in this version, izuku is quirkless and still goes through ua determined to change the way that society works and right the wrongs in how it’s set up while also proving that quirkless people aren’t useless. a lot of dadzawa in this one because it is my w e a k n e s s. there’s a few other elements thrown in there, but overall that’s the basic jist of it.

underground gladiator arena kidnap fic

one of my darker aus where a group of villains kidnap kids who took the ua exam to create an “everything goes” fight club that customers can watch and occasionally participate in.

my general idea for this was “the sports festival is pretty brutal when you think about it. it’s almost like everything but killing goes” and then i thought that in a superpowered society there is no way there isn’t any kind of underground fight club where people can go full out w their quirks.

hence this au was born! the kids who’re kidnapped w izuku have been constantly changing over the ladt year or so that i’ve had this idea but rn i decided on having shinsou, kaminari, mina, tokoyami and yaoyorozu w him. the rest would be filled w ocs bc the villains weren’t dumb enough to kidnap all of the heroics students, just a handful.

bearing in mind the kids are all taken a couple days after the entrance exam so they’re not familiar with each other and izuku is the only one familiar w a pro hero and that’s a secret. not to mention he’s only used his quirk once at this point, and he has no access to recovery girl’s quirk so he has to figure smth out IMMEDIATELY or he’s completely fucked.

the one where aizawa is inko’s brother

look if you inspect my aus carefully you’ll see a theme and that theme is i fucking love aizawa. anyways, in this one izuku has a pretty powerful nullification quirk and is trained by aizawa. aizawa and inko have like an eight or ten year age difference, so they weren’t all that close until inko reached out when izuku was eight.

i’ll admit this is one of my lesser developed aus but it’s canon divergent with a focus on izuku hoping to be an underground hero. and due to his quirk and that aspect of his personality, it kind of changes a lot of things??? potentially a short(ish) au if i ever got round to writing it out. maybs about 20k-30k words idk.

(this is mostly born bc i feel like people forget that there’s only a fifteen year age difference between aizawa and izuku for a number of reasons. also bc inko/aizawa….is kind of weird in my mind. definitely not a fan :///)

MUTE TODOROKI

look i fucking love mute aus okay, but when i was trying to apply it to the mha universe i started thinking “holy shit todoroki could definitely be mute” or smth and ever since this au is close to my heart.

basically when poor rei burned lil shouto, she mentally scarred him into mutism. ever since the kettle incident, shouto can’t speak a word. endeavor is told by the doctor that although nothing physically is wrong, shouto is mute. endeavor is a DICK and p much decides he’ll just wait it out for shouto to finally talk bc he’s just being childish (basically he’s ablist and doesn’t let todoroki learn sign. which is bullshit but doesn’t majorly effect him bc he’s homeschooled until high school anyway).

it’s sort of canon divergent but also maybe a complete au??? in that there’s no league of villains. when all might fought afo the first time he succeeded in putting a stop to the villain and killing him. izuku still gets ofa, but he’s not the protag of the story, this time it’s todoroki.

anyways, ua sees that todoroki is mute (which isn’t registered and completely unknown to the general public) and doesn’t know sign language (resorting to notes and/or charades if he needs to communicate something), and decides to investigate that shit.

endeavor eventually gets what he deserves bc the trash bag can go rot in hell, and that’s p much all i got aside from the class realising FAST they need to adopt and love todoroki so there’s a lot of wholesome bonding there.

izuku is related to all for one

admittedly this one is one of my most underdeveloped aus but i still love it all the same. basically my take on it bc the whole ‘afo is hisashi’ thing kinda weirds me out considering afo is at least 200 years old. in this au he’s izuku’s grandfather and inko is his daugther who escaped him and lives in hiding.

i haven’t decided whether i want this au to be my take on izuku having afo or if it’s another quirkless izuku au. i haven’t gotten very far into it, all i know is that afo has no emotions and he’s a heartless bastard (me hating the dad for one trope w a passion) so there’s sort of MAJOR angst potential if i decide to go down that route.

gamer au

izuku’s quirk is that his life is a game. that’s….that’s it. if you’re familiar with sword art online, it has a lot of influence from that w/o the characters or plot or pervertedness or incest because what the fuck sao was so bad with all those. still pissed bc outside that it had potential and i think abt that a lot.

anyways, so y’know how in a lot of rpgs there’s the hud w stats and an inventory system and abilities?? well apply that to izuku and he’s p much that. the world “autosaves” whenever he sleeps, but he can’t manually load a save. if he dies he starts over from his last autosave.

bc of his access to abilities and stuff, he has the potential to be powerful bc hey he can basically do magic, but at the same time he just healed his body completely by drinking this drink he made w herbs and shit last night. also he can carry a ludicrous amount of shit that couldn’t possible fit in his backpack but apparently he’s got seventeen cheese wheels in there and room for half the classroom furniture too.

izuku sees the world w a hud which would be annoying but it’s normal for izuku. in fact, he sort of hates watching tv because the hud doesn’t appear on the screen and it’s so weird and bizarre he doesn’t really like it.

i haven’t planned anything but details of the quirk bc it can get waaaay too overpowered too quickly and hhhh i sort of burnt out of different ways this would effect canon, so i didn’t think abt it. but i did figure out that izuku would have so many gaming analogies for his friends and be into like a thousand different games.

the one where uraraka is the protag instead

born when i was complaining about how shitty horikoshi is at writing his female characters i brainstormed this au in a discord server where i overhauled canon w a more badass uraraka. (and she doesn’t even get ofa!!! she’s just badass on her own!!!)

basically bc she’s a lot more confident and determined in this au she influences a lot of her classmates. the other girls are a lot more active in their actions and are more than just the background characters. uraraka’s full strength is explored and i think i planned for her to win the sports festival bc she deserved it.

also inspired by the idea i had of pro hero uraraka kicking a lamp post down on her own strength and using it to put a comet home run on a villain like she did in the battle trial. bc holy shit that’s a fantastic mental image.

basically my “mha girls fucking rule and fuck horikoshi’s shitty writing” au

hp au

ah yes, finally we get to my take on the most generic of aus. basically i just wanted todoroki in hufflepuff to piss off endeavor and basically loving it bc he befriends izuku in it. i definitely haven’t developed this au outside of worldbuilding in how i’d combine the two universes whilst fixing both jkr and horikoshi’s bad writing.

i actually wrote a snippet that’s somewhere on my blog that i can’t link to now but you could probs for search it. but this was basically born from me getting angry at people putting the kids in the wrong houses. im a firm believer that izuku fits in nearly every house but hufflepuff and slytherin suits him the most while todoroki is ABSOLUTELY a hufflepuff. i wanted some platonic tododeku bonding so i put izuku in hufflepuff. uraraka is slytherin, iida is gryffindor, and it’d be too messy to list all the kids so i won’t.

but!! what im most happy w in this au is how i incoporate mha stuff into it. like how hagakure isn’t actually invisible she just got permanently hexed by her brother to always be unnoticed so you can never know what she looks like or where she is. tokoyami has a bird head due to a failed attempt at becoming an animagi. its permanent and although he could get it fixed, theres actually a number of wizards w the same thing do there’s a lot of animal like wizards. shinhou comes from a pureblood family thats been known for their dark magic, even though the last four generations haven’t been dark wizards the wizardinv world is convinced he’ll be a dark wizard too but shinsou wants to prove them wrong. amajiki being a metamorphmagus who shifts his limbs into animals when he’s nervous. etc etc. i have too much worldbuilding and no plot lmao.

disney aus galore

one day i thought up abt three different disney aus for the mha universe but my first idea was a little mermaid au for momojirou w momo being the princess and jirou being the mermaid.

except besides the basic premise i p much scrapped the whole movie in that jirou learns sign language to talk to momo and the two play music together. jirou plays piano or w/e whilst momo sings. it’s v gay. theres a ball and they dance and then kiss. i never wrote it out bc i didn’t wanna add conflict in it but never got round to actually writing it lmao.

but i thought up a tododeku tangled au, kiribaku cinderella au, tsuocha princess and the frog au, and a couple others that i didn’t plan out fully. still close to my heart if i ever manage to get round to writing them out. each would probs either be a long shot at 7k-15k words or a short multichapter fic at 25k-30k words.

the Spite™️ fic

the fic where i get pissed at every shitty thing about horikoshi’s writing. izuku gets mad at all might for his views on quirkless people and gets into ua on his first try. izuku rightfully does not take bakugou’s shit and calls him out at every opportunity. bakugou’s actions have repercussions. all might gets punished for almost letting bakugou kill izuku in an exercise.

izuku gets pissed over a lot of shit basically. also at one point he either punts mineta into the sun or loudly and publicly makes the argument that mineta should be expelled from ua including evidence and testimonies from the girls. and he encourages nearly all of them to get better costumes.

i haven’t actually written much abt it but if there’s smth i got pissed @ horikoshi for smth in canon it’d be address in this fic bc oh boy am i never spiteful so it’s kind of theraputic to write even tho i haven’t done it in a while.

uh….i have a lot more but man i think i’ve been writing this for like an hour or two idk im gonna finish this before the app crashes or smth. thank you for letting me ramble this got long oops sorry.
