Hi, I love your profile and sims! I’m ‘kind of’ new to the sims world! I’ve been playing since 2018, but not religiously. I just wanted to ask about your mods folder (sorry if it states somewhere on your profile these kind of questions aren’t allowed, i’m new to tumblr too and still understanding how it works). Feel free to ignore this question if it’s not allowed. I understand that by having lots of folders within the mods folder it can make the game lag. I just wanted to ask how your mods folder looks? As I want to keep mine tidy and be able to find certain cc easily. I’m also in the process of buying a pc as I am currently using a macbook and have so much cc it’s starting to not work… If you have any tips or suggestions with having a pc (if you have one yourself) and how your set up looks, I would really appreciate it. Hello angel! I am more than happy to assist - though I'll tell you right now my mods folder is my greatest shame lol! I organize by category and I try not to put folders in my folders - for me personally, I have quite a bit of cc and keeping things as "free" in their respective folders as possible has helped me greatly with avoiding duplicates, especially if you bulk download like I end up doing a lot of times. My folders are fairly organized - I have one for build/buy and then for CAS I have a few different folders to help keep them more organized, one for skin details, makeup, presets, tattoos, etc.

Honestly - just don't do what I did when you get your pc and download and throw things into folders and try to make it organized afterwards because you'll make it 100x harder on yourself! My mods folder is the most organized it's ever been but I'm still ashamed of how messy it is lol.

My setup was a wedding gift from my husband, I gamed on a laptop previously and trust me I get it because it was fighting for it's life every time I turned it on!! I don't know much about computers but I'm more than happy to share my specs with you!

CPU: Ryzen 5 4500 - 6cores/12 threads @3.60GHz

GPU: MSI Ventus XS OC GTX 1660 Ti 6GB

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) @3200Mhz

Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD - 1500MB/s and 2000MB/s read/write speeds

PSU: Enermax 500W 80+ bronze

(I have no clue what any of this means - but it runs my game and all my cc with no lag so I'm happy!)

I’ve been trying to build an istj 6core character as a criminal, a heist crew leader, in particular and have encountered stumbling blocks due to the istj nature being so… different from the “heist crew” lifestyle. track made on the mac mini from 12 years old and also this is me trying to interpret one of my nightmares into a track I have them everyday which i s why I usually stay up 24-32 hours most days to get everything done and enjoy the rest of today enjoy this hard work I put into it. Took all week and it has over 75 tracks all midi used freezing helped save the cpu but I think my mac is having a hard time trying to find the system files to boot. I am thinking of copying the hard drive and having it allow the machine to run off an ssd to help run old games again like star-dew valley. That won't even boot on that thing. I do have 2 other beastly machines. One thats a brick pc thats 64gb ram water cooled 11gb vram 1 graphics card 6core cpu server processor the works. It's windows 10 and I am thinking about using that machine to make my new sample packs. Since my Fusion drive is locked to high sierra and I don't plan on upgrading it I love that OS! It still is fully baked and I can still use camel phat and camel crusher. I don't know if my camel phat will work on catalina it is 64bit it might be the only one that us 64bit. I might have to use logic for the camel phat fx since they were bought by apple. However I hear it's not the same at all. I still keep up to date with the latest software and major discord servers. I find that this might be a dead platform but hey I really enjoy blogging too I have been thinking about getting a camera for the longest time. It would be different kinds of videos and I think that would be a very good thing for my self-esteem and mental health in the future.
