Yeat
2093
====
This is my first time listening to Yeat at length. I've come to the realization that I don't need 22 tracks from artists like this anymore. He seems to use the same exact flows as Travis Scott, without the same level of entertainment value, maintaining a monotone voice throughout every single track.
Upon reviewing the credits, I noticed numerous writers listed for each track, as well as various 'TikTok Producers', which initially surprised me. It appears that we're witnessing the full evolution of Soundcloud rap into TikTok rap, with the first successful artists garnering substantial industry hype and financial backing. This is likely how Yeat managed to feature Future on the track 'Stand On It', which falls flat.
There's undoubtedly a place for this type of music, and Yeat appears to be leading the charge in the zone of TikTok rap. However, the repetitive and uninspired lyrics fail to drive the overall industry forward. By the end of this album, I find myself thoroughly exhausted. Thankfully, it's finally over.

Quote
It is true that the federal income tax is still significantly progressive — that is, the tax rate is higher on higher income. But as Thomas Jefferson would tell you, this is exactly what should happen in a country like the U.S. Jefferson wrote this to James Madison in 1785 from monarchical France: “The property of this country is absolutely concentered in a very few hands … the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property. … [One means is] to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise.” Adam Smith also believed in progressive taxes.

Why does it sound like Dave matthews in this? IDK if it was part of the album or if the lead singer sounds like him, but either way it's not a good look. Other than that it's definitely vibey. Good live album.

I fully respect the fact that theres more song structures in this than in any of their previous stuff they put out. I also like how they kept this to 30 minutes. They aren't going deep in any of the music, but thats what I want. More shock-rock value here than anything else. The thing is that Zilla is actually super talented, he can do much more than this.

Boiler Room Glitch Festival
====
This one is pretty exhausting. There isn't much going on here. A lot of the same loops. I was hoping for more darker music, but I guess since this a Boiler Room that it had to be a higher tempo BPM.

Foo Fighters
The Colour And The Shape
====
Circa 1997. Foo Fighters are never really on the menu for me. Super top heavy tracks and band imo. Has tracks like 'Everlong' and 'My Hero' that will be timeless in the Rock space. The rest of the album is just a bunch of fillers without a true flow.

Charli XCX
Boiler Room & Charli XCX Presents: PARTYGIRL
====
THE SET IS PRE-RECORDED. Per the top YT comment: 'this will be played in gay afters for generations'. I get it. The production on the video and overall her command of the crowd makes her lack of ability to actually DJ insignificant. This is what people want. All she really is doing is pressing a few buttons with adlibs and effects, but again noone cares because the music is fire.
She's not even DJing the entire time, just some random coked out John Lennon dude takes over while she's just interacting with the crowd. No one seems to care at all and the party continues; it's everything that is wrong with the industry is in this video, but again no one cares as do I.

Boundaries
Burying Brightness

Their 2022 album which is the newest one they have put out. Lately I've been seeing them getting a big push in the metalcore scene. The riffs and breakdowns in this album all feel like things I've heard before over and over. It gets boring and although it's done really well, there is absolutely noone that could pick them out of a handful of other metal bands and albums; and that is what I have a problem with. They have a new album out on 3/29 so I will be looking forward to that to see if there is any evolvement.

Mykki Blanco
Postcards from Italia
====
Certainly a different type of vibe from Mykki Blanco on this album. It's one of the albums thats I'll put on once, but it doesn't offer anything that I've come to expect from Mykki Blanco. This is his pivot album; I thought the previous ones were just him exploring more, but now I see that he's going down this road for the long-term. It's just so different from his earlier hip hop pop shock rock. Although the songwriting is still there, it doesn't really move me in any way. I'm not sure who this album is for.

The Sin of Human Frailty
====
Pure aggression. I appreciate how this has a similar style as their 2020 album, but it doesn't offer much more than what they did 3 years ago. To me it's simply more of the same, but I know what I'm getting with an END album.

Hans Zimmer, David Flemming
The Night Logan Woke Up Original Score
====
Score with David Flemming. Lots of harps and less of that deep dark score that I've come to know Hans Zimmer to pull together. I'm not saying this is a bad film score, just really forgettable when you put it in all his entire portfolio. He won't be playing any tracks of these in his live concerts. I'm actually impressed that this french movie had the budget to pull in Hans Zimmer.

Crown Magnetar
Everything Bleeds
====
Straight brutality all the way through--start to finish. Unrelenting no nonsense album. I love me some Crown, I just don't think it sets itself apart from anything they've done previously although I enjoy the increase BPM on the tracks.

Remind Me Tomorrow
====
I always keep on trying to like this style of coffeeshop music, but it never stays with me. The single 'Seventeen' is the best track and the album gets better as it goes on. Hard to hate, but this doesn't compare to her 2022 album, 'We've Been Going About This All Wrong'. It's great to see her evolve from this piece.

Funny that they put 'Palm Trees' and MRAZ in this, but also not seeing a good reason why it needs to be 18 tracks. All of them are pretty mediocre, but also has Action Bronson and Danny Brown as their only features which is pretty rad. They still just rap about the same stuff and the flow is the same. Can't believe I saw no movement or promo on the album and it shows. They're still doing their thing.
