anyone have any tips for crate training? we were doing really well, and she’ll sleep in it overnight, but only if she’s already sleepy when it put her in, and lately she just barks if i try to enforce a nap time. really struggling here, it feels like we’re making backwards progress :(

Hey um so you might be wondering where I went or not but I'm here to explain where I've been and why I've been away for the past 3 months.

So basically I run this account an account that reuploads pictures from pinterest with hopefully quotes in hopes that it will motivate/light up someone's day. Sometimes I repost stuff obviously.

Unfortunately I've gotten sent a few death threats over not crediting the photos, I severely apologise for not crediting the people that took the photos. In my defense I find them on pinterest and most don't have anyone to credit so obviously there wouldn't be anyone to mention. Yet this is no excuse and I hope you guys can forgive me? If not I can delete this blog it's okay :)

This morning, Matilda sharked my right hand three times and got her tongue squished right back every time. (I am not fucking around with getting bitten, thank you, and I know better than to expect simply Not Moving or, God forbid, squeaking to deter a teething heeler. That just adds to the overall appeal.)

Then she squinted at me experimentally and sharked my left hand. Squish, gag, thoughtful look.

Then she unhinged her jaw, lunged forward, and tried to bite my entire forehead.

we went for a nice long walk in the park yesterday. for the first half, she was on a long line and harness (to sniff and explore), and the second half, a collar and short leash (loose leash practice). i noticed any time we saw another dog, she kinda barked a little and backed away. i rewarded her for checking in with me and refocusing after, but i’m afraid of her becoming dog reactive. does anyone have any tips to nip this in the bud while she’s still young?
