Yesterday afternoon, I had a passing thought about the upcoming bedtime meditation. I knew that the concentration level would drop. It was the degree of restlessness I was experiencing in the afternoon that led to the thought.

During the evening hours, I made a few mental checks. Same. I knew that the degree of my restlessness belonged to many weeks back. In a recent blogpost, I have written my wish for my newly found profound inner peace to be firm. Last night’s meditation is evidence that I haven't yet been able to set profound inner peace firmly and irreversibly. And that’s expected but not desired.

Last night I heard, with an interiorised sense of hearing, the sound of life energy in the centre of my head. I heard these sounds regularly for 7 months starting June of 2023. Through 2024’s January and most of February, the meditational phenomenon has been phased out. The phenomenon of hearing sounds that no one but the meditator can hear, is required to put one’s attention together. Instead of being spread between peace and imagery, sounds can make attention one-pointed.

I guess that some sharpening of attention is left to be done. That’s why life energy chose to take me a step back as a meditator. I have got more than a glimpse of profound inner peace before last night’s meditation. But the benign energy probably can’t show my attention what lies further inwards unless it has prepared my attention some more.

All I have to do, is add meditation to my things to do list. I just have to continue meditating daily. It is the only opportunity I give myself to unfold my spiritual life further.

Thích sách, thích cái mùi mực của sách mới, thích cái cảm giác mua sách rồi để lên giá.

Hay mua sách, đủ thể loại. Đôi khi mua chỉ vì cái tên hay cái bìa hay hay.

Lâu lắm rồi không đọc cuốn nào mới. Chắc phải cỡ 5 năm. Từ chục năm trước đã thích đọc ebook hơn. Nhưng vẫn thích mua.

Cuốn này mua cũng lâu rồi, dăm ba năm trước hay vào tiki rồi fahasa, sale rẻ là mua.

Chưa đọc chữ nào ngoài 2 cái tên: tên sách và tên tác giả.

Biết ông nhà thơ này vì đã đọc đâu đó 1 vài đoạn, đều gợi nhiều cảm xúc gần gũi. Có cảm tình đặc biệt với cái tên sách và mối liên kết đặc biệt với tác giả.

Nay đột nhiên nhớ ra, tối mò tìm trên giá, phủi bụi lôi ra, mang lên phòng dự định sẽ đọc.

Hôm nay thấy người nhẹ nhõm, tích cực. Cũng lâu lâu rồi. Chợt nghĩ có phải trùng hợp với mỗi lần tập trung vào công việc?

Luôn không nghĩ là người yêu công việc, dẫu có những đợt khá điên cuồng.
