Other than Bulma's 80s Hair between the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, what are some of your other top Bulma outfits, hairstyles, etc.
The list can be as long or short as you want
oh boy oh man this was a hard one as a huge bulma appreciator and connoisseur! BUT i think i’ve accumulated all my faves!! (these are in no particular order because i’m having such a hard time ranking lol)
Tumblr media
first, i’d like to say that i adore bulma in the early android saga with baby trunks, the lob looks so cute on her and the whole fit is great imo.
Tumblr media
my next fave is definitely this look from GT! i also really love this hair on her and the color combo works so well. and the glasses!! she rocks them! so comfy so casual.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i think another fave style of mine is the one she wore to the 22nd tenkaichi budokai. she came not only to support goku but to serve LOOKS.
Tumblr media
this outfit she wore earlier on in dragon ball absolutely SLAPS.
Tumblr media
the outfit she first appeared in absolutely deserves a mention!! look at this color coordination queen with her matching socks/neckerchief and bag/shoes combo!
Tumblr media
her arabian outfit from dragon ball is also iconic! i think a ponytail really suits her.
Tumblr media
and going off of that — another ponytail look that i really like! i believe this one is from the saiyan saga. the dress is simple but cute, the bow is a cool callback to her original dragon ball outfit; it’s kinda giving me sailor vibes with the colors. the only aspect of this outfit i’m not a huge fan of are the socks/shoes, which also seem to be from her first appearance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the last two i’m gonna mention are these, which i don’t think actually appeared in the show/manga to my knowledge and are instead some really cool original artworks! but of course correct me if i’m wrong! the second one is such a cool creative design!! it’s kinda like mad max meets final fantasy. and the first i think speaks for itself, after compiling this list i realized that my fave styles tend to lean towards the comfy and casual. and a trucker hat really suits bulma well, as we saw earlier!
thanks so much for the question! i’d love to hear what you, or anyone else has to say! (*´∀`*)

Hot take (granted it’s about a show almost 40 years old but I’ve never seen this come up anywhere else): Muten Roshi, the Kame Sen’nin, is one of the most traumatized characters in Dragon Ball.
Tumblr media
Yes. This dork.
Wait, wait, hear me out, I know his reputation, but bear with me...
I’m essentially expanding on thoughts I’ve had for a while and started putting into to words through an ask for @dragonballwish but I had another epiphany on the subject a few days ago and now it’s all boiling over.
All right, everyone knows Roshi is the OG Dragon Ball sensei character, the one in the memes about perverted old men, who people probably like to laugh at but maybe not talk about at length. I’m not going to list instances of the sort of behavior that gave him this reputation, IYKYK and all, but what if Roshi had a reason for living isolated in the middle of the ocean, away from people, interacting more with animals and sea creatures than other human beings, who in all likelihood will die long before he does?
No, I’m not accusing Toriyama of doing anything other than his usual MO of flying by the seat of his pants, I’m just saying, the pieces are there for a pretty compelling narrative/character arc.
Roshi’s vague about his personal history. When Dragon Ball gets rolling with the Wuxia elements of the story, he’s iffy about taking on pupils; he primarily makes the initial offer to Goku because he’s Gohan’s grandson. He only takes on Kuririn after the boys bring Lunch back to Kame House for... let’s call it companionship. Despite his choice to live alone, one could infer that he’s actually truly lonely. Hell, his goofy perversions could easily be the result of extended isolation, which all of us know does weird things to the mind.
Wish actually brought up this point; his isolation likely started after seeing the results of his teachings in Ox-King and Son Gohan, one a pillager, a murderer and a hoarder of treasure, the other thankfully not violent but uninterested in interacting much with the world (seems like Gohan also had his own sad story.)
He takes great pains to keep Kuririn and Goku from getting swelled egos; perhaps not only for the sake of their growth, but so as to avoid the mistakes he made with his previous pupils, Son Gohan and Ox-King.
He’s unfazed by most forms of threat to his life; Goku’s Ozaru form startles him, sure, yet he refuses to kill his student despite clearly being capable of doing so and chooses a far more drastic alternative instead. The Red Ribbon army showing up at his house only get taunts, a chuckle and a beating until someone takes Lunch hostage. Even then, he discourages her more violent persona from killing the soldier who threatened her; his appreciation for the sanctity of life could be part of his own disciplines, but it’s just as likely something shaped by his experiences.
He drops out of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, despite hints that he could’ve gone to the finals again if he’d continued; he plants seeds of altruism in Tien’s mind to sway him away from Shen’s violence and in his words, foster the growth of a new hero.
We only learn anything of substance about Roshi’s past when 22nd Budokai arc ends and kicks off the start of the Piccolo Daimao saga.
And it’s here that we see Roshi well and truly rattled for the first time.
Roshi fought Piccolo Daimao alongside Mutaito and his fellow students; the battle cost him the lives of his friends and his master. Worst still, Shen, the only other martial artist shown to have survived the fight and the Kuririn to Roshi’s Goku, turned bitter; the last friendship Roshi had became so sour and resentful that neither of them could stand each other.
When the time comes for Roshi, Tien and Chaozu to confront Piccolo, the old hermit refuses to let anyone else face him; for all he’s lived through, he wouldn’t survive fighting another doomed battle alongside friends.
Toriyama doesn’t show or explain anything else about Roshi’s past, but we can infer that, at some point in the intervening years before Goku’s story begins, Roshi established his reputation as the Kame Sen’nin, while Shen did the same as the Tsuru Sen’nin.
In contrast to Shen, who garnered his reputation alongside his brother for taking the technique and skills he learned from Mutaito and twisting them for the purposes of torture, pain and assassination, Roshi must have gone to lengths to heal, at least somewhat, from the trauma and survivor’s guilt and grow stronger. Personally, I think to assuage his guilt, he would’ve traveled and helped people (maybe ‘twas in this time when he met and grappled with Korin) as something of a... hero.
I know it might feel like a stretch to see him that way, and I suspect he doesn’t feel much of a hero himself despite the somewhat flashy façade he puts on as Jackie Chun. But consider this fact:
There was a time when Roshi could ride Kinto’un.
We don’t see it, nor is it explicitly stated (that I can remember) but both Roshi and Turtle are surprised when he falls through the magic cloud instead of landing on it when he passes Kinto’un on to Goku. So something that happened between his Master’s demise and the start of the story we’re shown that robbed his purity of heart, at least by Kinto’un’s definition.
Again, was this traumatized survivor narrative what Toriyama intended for Roshi? Probably not.
I’m just saying, all the pieces are there.

What version of himself would Goku have to be, to beat Pink Steven in a fight?
We are thinking King Piccolo saga, maybe even Piccolo Jr saga, Steven would fuck Goku and Tien up in the 22nd Budokai unless they used their knowledge and skill to outmanoeuvre him. Steven's "riot shield" could probably block a Vegeta galick gun and could at least fuck up Goku through to the Piccolo Jr saga. Steven even has a comparable ability to slow down time/move super fast.

The Big Bads of Dragon Ball, Revised Image.
Additional Notes:
- Was not sure about putting Emperor Pilaf on here since he was never an actual Big Bad in the original manga series, the anime adaptation just turned him into one for the first saga. But since I’m factoring in all timelines and all media here, I decided “why not?”
Piccolo Jr. is counted the same as Piccolo, the fourth (or third) Big Bad, but I only have King Piccolo pictured here for simplicity’s sake.
- Master Shen and Belmond are not counted as the Big Bads of the 22nd Budokai Saga and the Universal Survival Saga respectively despite being the mentors behind Tienshinhan and Jiren, who are portrayed as the main physical threats to be overcome.
- Similarly, creators/Greater Scope Villain characters such as King Cold, Dr. Gero, Babidi, Paragus, and the late Bibidi and Garlic, are not counted as Big Bads since they’re never really framed as such.
- Super Android 17 was the single worst and stupidest idea for a Big Bad ever in the history of Dragon Ball and I hate having him on here.

Note
Saiyans also have that "start short then suddenly tall" thing. Goku was the same height from 12 years old to 15, then when he appeared at the 22nd Budokai he was suddenly an 18 year old tall guy. Similarly Gohan was 11* at the end of the Cell Saga, then suddenly tall at 18 when the Buu Saga started.
*His age is a little hard to pin down thanks to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, but this is the best guesstimate.
Ha! Nice.

DOES SUPER SAIYAN 3 USE LIFE-ENERGY?
Tumblr media
It's never clearly stated, but it appears to be implied. Here's why I think that SSJ3 just might use life-energy.
I'M EDITING THIS TO MAKE IT MORE COHERENT. SORRY FOR IT BEING A MESS.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT LIFE-ENERGY
Life-energy is essentially the "root" of all energy both magic & ki (spiritual energy/battle power). Both draw from this pool of energy & translate it into different types of power. We know that using life-energy can be used to amplify the strength of attacks. However, the negative side-effect of using life-energy with magical attacks or with ki attacks is that it can result in death from exhaustion for the user.
Mafuba: A powerful spell that uses life-energy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kikoho: A destructive ki attack that uses life-energy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the user does not use too much life-energy, the result is that they will be extremely tired and depleted of energy (as we saw with Tien during the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai).
We also know that the Genki Dama is an attack made from gathered life-energy & we see how powerful that is.
So, while dead, Goku possibly used life-energy to amplify his Super Saiyan limit while in Other World to create SSJ3.
How Goku Created Super Saiyan 3
My theory is that after Goku attained SSJ2 in Other World, he was in search to find a power beyond ascended Super Saiyan. But with his deep level of ki control & new strength, Goku increased his power in a more balanced way; discovering a SSJ2 Grade 2, then a SSJ2 Grade 3 form. Goku was close to a breakthrough, and needed a push. I believe that Goku may have drawn from his life-energy & utilized that power in order to give himself the energy required to step into a higher realm of power. And Goku never got to test his new power properly through combat while in Other World.
I also believe that we need to look at the past & see how Goku's Super Saiyan Grade forms of the Cell Saga parallel the Buu Saga when Goku shows all three of his Super Saiyan form to Majin Buu.
SSJ (Grade 1) - SSJ
SSJ (Grade 2) - SSJ2
SSJ (Grade 3) - SSJ3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Interesting enough, not only did both Grade 3 and SSJ3 initially put strain on Goku, but the hair for both forms becomes sharper & grows in length. Paneling is very similar too.
An interesting difference being that Grade 3's energy swelled in the muscles while SSJ3's energy extended through the hair; a place energy rises due to the two chakra points. So, the long hair of SSJ3 kinda depicts higher spiritual power in a more controlled form rather than simply bulking up.
Grade 2 was a stronger & buffer form of SSJ. Grade 3 was an even more powerful & extremely bulky form of SSJ. Not to mention Grade 3 made Goku's hair grow longer.
Goku's Grade 3 Super Saiyan had his hair grow a bit longer and it became sharper. The SSJ2 transformation makes the hair sharper and a bit longer.
Now, image a Grade 3 SSJ2 form, but instead of normally using ki (spiritual battle power) to make the muscles swell, Goku may have used genki (life-energy) to increase his power in a way that caused less physical strain, yet quicker stamina drain. There are parallels between Goku displaying higher power during the Cell Saga & Buu Saga too.
Goku does not use life-energy to the point where it will kill him. It just quickly drains him of his power. Its a dangerous technique that is high risk high reward IF the job can be done before the transformation uses too much power.
So, when Other World Goku was visiting Earth for a day & used SSJ3, it depleted his remaining time on Earth.
Shortened Time In The Living World
We are told by King Kai that SSJ3 will shorten Goku's time on Earth.
Tumblr media
Later, we are shown that Goku's time in the living realm is indeed shortened after using SSJ3.
Tumblr media
We find out that if Goku is in the living realm OR if he is alive, SSJ3 quicky drains him of his energy. When Goku is dead and in Other World's realm, there is far less strain to maintain the transformation.
SSJ2 didn't shorten Goku's time limit on Earth but for some reason SSJ3 did.
The effects of Goku using life-energy are different due to him already being dead.
Does SSJ3 use life-energy? Maybe so. I'd rather have an official confirmation, but it seems to be possible.

hmm yeah lets talk about lavashark boygirl now. sorry if i format it like a wiki article i read them for fun
tuna is an oc i made for dragon ball after i was thinking about the 22nd tournament. they're an animal-type earthling who fights goku in the 22nd tournament, replacing pamput. tuna's gimmick as a character is that they are. unnaturally hard to kill or phase for someone as weak as they are. i call it iron-body. they call it luck. it's an aspect of their being that increases in effectiveness with their power, meaning that as they face stronger and stronger foes, they're still able to do stuff like provide meaningful distractions while help arrives.
overview (pre-retcon)
Tuna is a main protagonist in Dragon Ball and the first two arcs of Dragon Ball Z, later becoming a supporting protagonist in the rest of Z and the entirety of GT. They are a martial artist hailing from Earth, and hold the title of the strongest non-human Earthling alive.
A martial artist for fun and a sailor by trade, Tuna is a remarkably strong and hardworking individual, and heavily values the connections they make between others, finding friends in unusual places. Originally his opponent faced during the 22nd Tenkai'chi Budokai, they grew to be a close friend of Son Goku and others and display an unusual set of skills that allow them to continue protecting their loved ones despite being outclassed by everyone around them.
appearance
Tuna is an animal-type earthling, resembling an anthropomorphic sandbar shark. As a person who pursues martial arts as a hobby, they are often seen wearing a mix of gi and casual clothing, most often blue gi pants, a red belt, and a grey shirt and a with "鉄" (tetsu/iron) written on the back, without a circle or patch to contain it. They have also been known to wear a modified sailor's uniform when they are not fighting.
Being based off a shark, Tuna possesses multiple aquatic traits, such as gills, sharp teeth, brown and white scales, and a long tail that pokes out of their uniform. However, befitting their human heritage, they possess human-like eyes, nostrils, five digits, eyebrows, lack a dorsal fin, and possess long, shaggy black hair similar to Yamucha as a teenager.
Curiously, although they age at the same rate as other characters, Tuna is continuously depicted in the same art-style they had during their debut, the Tenshinhan saga, even clashing against the later styles depicted in the series, especially the Androids and Majin Buu saga. Additionally, they also seem to carry the same comedic slapstick mood of the old series with them, functioning as both a serious character and a source of comic relief.
history
background
born to a whale sailor named acro and a human martial artist named sushi, tuna grew up learning martial arts from a very young age, and views it as a fundamental (positive) aspect of their being similar to goku, as it's basically how they bond with their family.
tuna eventually discovered their unusual resilience to attacks after they were hit by a truck, only suffering minor injuries despite a head on collision that totaled the vehicle. At the age of 15, they would enter the 22nd Strongest Under the Heavens Tournament, seeking to both fight strong opponents, and of course, take a shot at the grand prize.
Tenshinhan Saga
Tuna is introduced as one of the eight finalists, having beaten Pamput by taking a direct jab to the stomach without flinching and tossing Pamput out the ring and through a window. They are then set up to fight Goku after Tenshinhan fixes the matches so that he can fight Yamucha, Chaozu can fight Krillin, and Man-Wolf can fight Jackie Chun. After the first three matches are over, Tuna and Goku begin their match.
The fight starts off with a bang as Goku shows off his incredible speed, landing several blows in quick succession on the shark, only to no avail as the fighter's high defense is able to shrug them off easily. Tuna begins their own onslaught of moves, including a seemingly devastating slap with their tail, but Goku's own power increase from his run-in with the Red Ribbon Army allows him to tank these attacks just as easily.
Tuna tries their own special attack, consisting of using their springy tail to build up kinetic energy and launch themselves at Goku, only to miss and slam face-first into the wall, breaking a part of it off. Goku compliments Tuna's creativity, and offers to show off his signature move and fires off a Kamehameha at them, only for the shark to grab the wave and stop it, only being pushed back a few inches at most.
The two then trade a series of blows, neither able to break the other's defense, until Goku lands a solid gut punch, and then turns it into an uppercut by moving his fist upwards while still embedded in Tuna's body, lifting them off the ground and tossing them back a couple feet. Goku then gets an idea, and charges up a very powerful Kamehameha, as Tuna says that that won't work and he already tried it. Goku quips that it's not quite the same attack, and fires off the wave. Tuna compliments Goku's strength, and catches the beam like they did before, although this beam is strong enough to push them back to the edge of the ring. Tuna then grips the bottom of the ring with their feet, as Goku then changes the direction of the Kamehameha, pointing it upwards, and taking Tuna with it. As they let go of the beam in surprise, they fall in the grass outside, losing the match. They take their defeat surprisingly well, and bid Goku good luck in his next match.
Afterward, they are seen cheering on Goku during his match against Krillin, and later seen cheering on Goku during the finals.
After Tenshinan wins by a hair against Goku, they are invited by him alongside the rest of Roshi's students to dinner. After Goku comes back with the news that Krillin has been murdered, they start getting sick in a corner out of fear.
King Piccolo Saga
In the wake of Krillin's murder, and the theft of the 4-star ball, Goku angrily storms off to avenge his fallen friend. After Tuna deduces that whoever took the registration list from the tournament might be intending to target the finalists, they start crying in fear and wishing they were back home as everyone plans what to do. Yamucha is injured, so Bulma and Launch intend to take him to Kame House to recover. Meanwhile, Tenshinhan and Chaozu will accompany Roshi to collect the dragon balls to banish Piccolo.
Because Tuna is a child and is clearly too shaken and out of their league to help despite how good of a distraction they'd make, they are sent to stay at Kame House for their safety. At Kame House, they are despondent about being on the sidelines despite the danger of the situation, and after a brief argument with Bulma about remaining safe, they run out of Kame House and swim off to join Roshi and Tenshinhan.
However, upon reaching the mainland, they meet Tambourine, who seemingly has just killed Goku, and attacks him in a fit of rage. Tambourine seems to have the upper hand in strength and speed, but Tuna's defense seems near unbreakable. However, after Tambourine realizes that they are not strong enough to free themselves from his grip, he grabs them, flies up in the air, away from the water, and holds Tuna's nose and mouth closed until they suffocate to death. Tambourine then callously throws the teen's body into the ocean before going after Yamucha.
Being killed by a demon, their soul is unable to pass onto the afterlife, being tortured by demons and the constant feeling of suffocation and being shown visions of being unable to save Goku from being killed.
After King Piccolo is killed and the wish to revive everyone who was killed by him and his children is granted, Tuna is brought back from death and their memories of being dead are wiped to preserve their sanity.
Piccolo Jr. Saga
After training (though not alongside Yamucha, Krillin, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu), Tuna enters the 23rd Strongest Under the Heavens tournament, only to be eliminated by Krillin in preliminaries. They later see Goku propose to ChiChi, and are visibly saddened, although they cheer for him during his rematch against Tenshinhan, and are elated to see his victory over Piccolo. They are last seen wishing him a peaceful, stress-free wedding, before returning to live with their family.

Have you gotten Yamcha for the ask game yet? Or Tien? 😊
i have received Neither Chaps !!! So I will now do them both :) Pause on that :) gonna put this under a Read More since This Will Be Long <3
Yamcha:
Give Me A Character and I Will Answer:
Why I like them:
Uhhhh A Lot Of Reasons. Like. A lot. BUT I will be brief and say I like him because as a kid I always thought he looked cool and I always thought his first fight with Goku was radical. With My Big Man Brain Now I love him for just how sincere of a guy he is? And how loving and friendly and supportive? And I make fun of him for it but the wolf aesthetic genuinely is really cool- not to mention how he loves to change up his outfits and hairstyles!
Why I don’t:
I have no reason to hate this man. Like none exists. In The Most Platonic Way Ever he’s literally the perfect man and I would take him home to meet my mom and even then she would be happy with me dating a man if it was Yamcha Dragon Ball.
Favorite episode (scene if movie):
I have so many favorite Yamcha moments and ergo episodes good god help me BUT I will name ONE off the top of my head so I’m not stuck here forever and I really love the baseball scene in Z for Many Reasons it’s just so good it plays on loop in my brain 24/7 so I Will Say episode 10 of DBZ :)
Favorite season/movie:
The Tien Saga.... legendary.... yes he did get his leg broken but everything before AND after that??? Immaculate. Perfect. Astounding. No The Tien Saga Is Not Therapy But I Will Use It As Such
Favorite line:
Anything Yamcha says is music to my ears and is pure gold, and aside from The Iconic “Looking good, Tien!” quote from Budokai 3, I gotta say my actual favorite quote??
“No big deal. Bones heal, just like everything else.” -Yamcha to Tien in reference to his broken leg after the 22nd World Tournament
Like. It’s SUCH a simple line but it’s SO telling of Yamcha’s character?? Tien literally broke his leg with no concern of the long-lasting effects of doing so, not to mention his dickish behavior beforehand towards Yamcha beforehand. So for Yamcha to just be ready to forgive him at the drop of a hat when he sees Tien’s seem sincerely apologetic? Dude no one talk to me I’m going to write an essay again.
Favorite outfit:
I Mean This In The Most Platonic Way Part II but Yamcha can make Literally Any outfit and hairstyle look good it should be illegal. However I am legally required to choose One (1) outfit and at this point we should all know how much I adore the desert bandit fit of his. It’s just such a classic and cute look to him (not to mention The Sword <3)
OTP:
Oh You Know :) but if you don’t it’s Yamcha and Tien- even as just Friends They’re So Good I’m Going To Write An Essay like god I want what they have so badly.
Brotp:
I love his relationship with Puar, like I genuinely would love a small arc dedicated to how they even became friends in the first place since their origin together is so mysterious yet intriguing? But aside from The Obvious answer I love his brotherly relationship with Goku and Krillin! Unfortunately that relationship wanes as they all get older but I’ll always cherish the moments where he radiated such Big Bro energy.
Head Canon:
I’ve got a dumb amount of headcanons it’s terrible BUT I think my favorite headcanon is that Yamcha’s leg never properly heals after the 22nd Tournament.
Unpopular opinion:
I. Have a lot. Of unpopular opinions. Just genuinely loving Yamcha’s an unpopular opinion in of itself BUT One of my unpopular opinions is that Yamcha’s a flirt, a cheater, and promiscuous. If he’s ever portrayed as a flirt towards women, I can give it the smallest pass in the world that he’s trying to cope but even then that’s such a stretch in my opinion- and I guess this is on top of being a headcanon but Frankly I don’t think Yamcha’s ever even kissed anyone- he’s playing the long game everyone he’ll get his kiss on his wedding day btw that’s like. Partially a joke; I joke around a lot that Yamcha’s Super dedicated to the whole Nothing Until Marriage idea lmao.
A wish:
For the love of God Yamcha pack up your shit and Puar and just move in with Tien your apartment’s shit.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen:
Honestly? I kind of don’t want Yamcha to get a girlfriend? But I also DO because he wants that the most in life and it’d be great to see SOMETHING nice happen to him!
My only gripe with him getting a girlfriend (and hopefully then a wife) would be that his girlfriend wouldn’t be that well defined of a character and she’d just be said in Passing Mentions.
5 words to best describe them:
Perfect, immaculate, loyal, courageous, lovely
My nickname for them:
Furry, Dumpy, and Wolfie!
Tien
Give Me A Character and I Will Answer:
Why I like them:
Again I Have A Lot Of Reasons BUT I love how like. Deceiving he is as a character. Like ask anyone and 90% of the time people will say Tien’s smart and serious and No Bullshit but no he is exactly the opposite he’s dumb as shit in any department outside of farming and fighting and he’s such a lil’ jackass when breathing next to Yamcha.
Sincerely though, I absolutely love his character development- it’s one of my favorite arcs in Dragon Ball to be honest but That’s An Essay For Another Time. I also love how funny he can be, intentionally or not, and he’s surprisingly really relatable at times? And just his dedication to fighting’s really neat too; at this point he MUST know he can never be stronger than Goku but he still tries nevertheless and that’s really indicative of his bullheaded personality.
Why I don’t:
You could not pay me to dislike him I’d sell my kidneys for Tenshinhan.
Favorite episode (scene if movie):
Any episode from the gang’s escapades on King Kai’s planet good lord save me. That’s where Tien’s existence shines the best it’s so good.
Favorite season/movie:
His own saga man like. As much as I LOVE Redeemed Tenshinhan I also love how much of a jackass he was like why was he like that LMAO
Favorite line:
Again, aside from The Iconic x2 “Looking good, Yamcha!” quote, I gotta say it’s:
“Yes... sir! <3″ -Tien preparing to strike Goku with the volleyball fist during the 22nd World Tournament.
Also “I left Chiaotzu and Yamcha behind. This seems too dangerous for them.” -Tien to Gohan during the Resurrection F saga
Favorite outfit:
Like Yamcha, Tien’s outfits always hit. Not a SINGLE one misses. BUT I gotta say I love his classic tits-out look- more so for the fact I like how he shows off his scar as a kind of way to say he’s moved on from the Crane School like Damn Son you love to see it :,) Deep reasons aside, my second-favorite outfit’s got to be the Buu Saga listen man everyone just had the Hottest outfits in the Buu Saga you can’t blame me.
OTP:
Oh You Know :)
Brotp:
Tien has Two (2) friends in his life man the pool’s small but even if it WAS larger I would say Chiaotzu anyway LMAO. Love them dudes man.
Head Canon:
Tien is just. Terribly academically and socially stupid. The Social Ineptitude isn’t even a headcanon that’s just fact but when I said he’s stupid in every department But Fighting And Farming I meant it. Flirting with Tien is a nightmare. If you’re not Yamcha or Chiaotzu joking with him is a headache. He’s only smart in the vocabulary department other than that he couldn’t tell you how many planets are in the solar system. He’s dumb as rocks but is smart enough to convince everyone around him he’s smart because he knows what picayune means.
Unpopular opinion:
I have nothing but love and respect for Krillin, but it makes like. No sense to insist Krillin’s the strongest human on earth. Tien does not go hard on that grind 24/7 just for everyone- writers included- to reduce him to such trash when fighting. But why pit two kings against each other you know?
A wish:
Please just give him one good sexy fight that’s all I’m asking for. Also Tien PLEASE use the solar flare you dumb motherfucker YOU INVENTED IT??? Actually all of my wishes are fighting related but yeah Tien for God’s Sake acknowledge how crazy your move kit is and fuck it UP MY GUY.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen:
Tien please don’t get a random wife I fortunately cannot see that happening but for the love of God Toei if you make that happen I will actually commit arson. Any other fear I could have either has come true or cannot happen.
5 words to best describe them:
Deceivingly smart dumbass I love
My nickname for them:
Headass, Slap Head, My Man/s, Bald Motherfucker, Polyphemus Headass (I know Polyphemus is a cyclops but shush), Four Arms, Machamp, Stitch, Roach, King, and Ikea Dresser

Earth Broly (Rather than) AU
Tumblr media
(art credit: Shochikubai-ume)
Biography On Planet Vegeta, in Birthing Facility 4, a saiyan baby was born. Considered an anomalous mutant of sorts, with a power level that seemed to fluctuate between roughly 10,000, and 920, much of this was assumed to be malfunctions of the hardware, but one thing was certain.
This child, Broly the son of Paragus, had singlehandedly shattered every record that the saiyans held for Combat Potential.
General saiyan wisdom estimated that a saiyan child would ultimately express 100 times their power as a child during adulthood, assuming a reasonable amount of training and combat to keep them from being stunted. This would mean that, if the saiyans only took into consideration his bottom level, he would have a power level of 92,000. This would make him not only more powerful than every member but one of the Ginyu Force, but essentially only second-only to Freeza himself, except when fighting with a power level of 920,000 as an oozaru.
That was even stronger than Freeza (assuming ignorance to his second form).
Paragus saw the potential for such a child as an asset to the saiyan race, not only as a means of finally throwing themselves free of their servitude, but possibly even proving to Beerus that they had the ability to go further as a species. But alas, the jealousy of King Vegeta was too strong.
The king had planned to send the boy away to a worthless, intolerable, planet named Vampa. Though he was a warrior, Paragus was more clever than to simply swagger into the king’s chambers to demand an explanation. He knew his son’s power, and decided to take things into his own hands, to redirect his son to a more hospitable world, make a scene, and then storm out to head to earth and rescue Broly.
This plan would not go totally according to his script, however, as while Paragus would be successful in changing the ship’s destination, he didn’t account for the king being aware of this, and executing the man on the spot.
Still... Earth wasn’t a particularly valuable planet, and even if it was a world with living targets, its denizens had barely managed to reach its own moon, they wouldn’t be able to send this monster back to him.
When landing on earth, Broly’s ship would crash somewhere in the region near Mount Paozu. Within moments of departing from the pod, Broly would see a full moon and begin to rampage through the wilderness. Though as morning came, Broly would return to the pod from whence he came, after gorging himself on the carcasses of the animals, various dinosaurs and other fauna, using it as a makeshift shelter. It was through the routine, if somewhat broken directions, of the pod that Broly knew his name, though it seemed that the blutz wave projector had been damaged on entry.
Over the following years, the great ape that prowled on full moons, rampaging through the wilds, would become something of a local fairy tale. Though the villages near the area didn’t explicitly believe in the monster, it became rather infrequent for locals to wander out on those nights, just in case.
Thought he was often a nocturnal hunter, due to his time as a mindless beast, Broly would still often act during the days as well, occasionally wandering near settlements, hunting and scavenging for food.
It was thanks to these brief encounters with society, even occasionally meeting the old man who lived among the mountains as well, that Broly was able to learn some ability to communicate, though he was more naturally prone to isolation and never developed a particularly strong relationship with any human.
However, when it came to some animals, Broly would enjoy their presence, particularly a sort of bear that had mutated to have green fur, prompting it to remain alone, even moreso than other bears, which were usually solitary. To the point that it didn’t even have a mate. Spending time with this bear, often watching what it would scavenge and eat, he developed the same habits and hunting patterns as the creature.
With this, Broly and the bear, which he named “Ra” for the noise that it made, became good friends, and over the years, as the saiyan grew, so did its power, and the width of his rampages as an oozaru. And as Broly’s nocturnal rampages became more destructive, so too did the alertness of the region’s residents, such as Gohan, who had fought the great ape on several occasions.
Eventually, though, Ra would be killed, as a result of poaching. Hurt by the death of his only friend, Broly promptly skinned the pelt of Ra, and began to wear it as a silent reminder of his loss. This would also cause Broly to become more aloof and removed from humanity.
As Broly grew towards adolescence, though, eventually his rampages as oozaru became too destructive, eventually resulting in a battle with the warrior Gohan. Broly’s great ape form would kill the old man, and wreak destruction through the land, fulfilling part of his function as a saiyan, essentially killing all humans in the nearby region. Only animals, and ruins would be left in his path, though Broly refused to depart from the region, wishing to simply be alone.
While scavenging the ruins for food on multiple occasions, taking to hunting less often for a time, Broly would eventually discover a glinting orb with four stars in it. Though it served him no purpose in his survival, some sort of compulsion in his (stupid monkey) brain told him to keep it.
Some years later, after Paozu had essentially become a wasteland entirely, a girl named Bulma would wander into the region, searching for the very ball that Broly had.
Initially distrustful of the girl, Broly didn’t want anything to do with her, though after several days of pursuit, coaxing, and offerings of food, the saiyan allowed the human girl near enough to talk to him. With some convincing, Broly would accompany the girl on her journey for the other dragon balls, one that interested him, as he grew older he’d become curious of the area around, and her ability to produce houses with a small device, it would give him an opportunity to travel and exist without the risk of turning into a great ape.
And so would begin Broly’s grand magical adventure to pursue the Dragon Balls.
Key differences and events beyond: -The adventure in which they get captured by Pilaf would likely result in the dragon balls being gained much sooner, but with no wishes that the dragon could effectively grant, Bulma simply wished to return home. -Yamcha and Broly would go on to train with Roshi, eventually being joined by Krillin. --During this training Broly’s tail is removed by Roshi to prevent him from going on rampages, and relying on such a trick in future fights. -The 21st, 22nd, and 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai would be cleanly swept by Broly -Broly’s rivalry with Tenshinhan results less in a purification of Tien’s brutal nature, and more the realization that the strong don’t have to fight dirty, or humiliate and kill opponents. --Broly and Tenshinhan’s duel did not occur in the tournament and was a proposed “duel to the death” following Tien’s desire to kill Broly, after being defeated/humiliated from his point of view, by Yamcha. -Broly did likely destroy the Red Ribbon Army, but likely more in a taking on challengers way, when trying to take from him his 4-star ball. -Broly’s fights would likely be not challenging in the least until possibly the fights against Piccolo-Daimo and Piccolo, the former of which could give him a fight, and the other being able to outwit him repeatedly. -Krillin’s death resulted in Broly’s first use of the Rage form, and subsequent killing of Piccolo-Daimo, who only just narrowly had the time to produce Piccolo. -By the time he’d fought Piccolo Jr., Broly was able to repeatedly access Rage Form and deactivate it to keep a clear head during the battle, though it was still uphill given Piccolo’s greater intelligence. -Broly wouldn’t receive any training by Kami, but would be offered the position of Guardian (he would defer to someone more like Roshi who was suited for the job) -The use of Dragon Balls would become more conserved, as Broly has little interest in using them, and
-The saiyan saga is greatly reduced in scope of battle (largely because Broly has no offspring and I’m not forcing mate(s) into the story) -Broly’s battle with Raditz was a singular affair, with Raditz’s survival being the result of quick thinking, and an offer to bring him to people who are like him -Broly briefly joins the saiyans, though not formally as a member of the Freeza Force he is given similar equipment. -Namek saga essentially doesn’t occur and is instead filled with various space adventures in which Broly seems to just display nonsensical levels of strength beyond that of even his projected 90,200. By the point that Broly is at here, his Combat Power is considered immeasurable by the scouters. -The Saiyans, Nappa, Vegeta, and Raditz, are far more powerful for their presence with Broly and providing him sparring partners. -Ultimate confrontations against Freeza’s elite guard, and the Ginyu Force (who were scrambled to their emperor’s side after Freeza began to anticipate intent to coup) results in an almost tournament mini-arc itself with various environments and battles occurring.  --I think the battles would be the likes of Vegeta v Recoome (Vegeta Win) Raditz and Nappa v Jeice and Burter (Natch Saiyan win) and Broly v Guldo (Broly win) --During this mini-tournament arc each pairing is challenged in some way, Vegeta through having to deal with Recoome’s raw power, the duo battles coming down to Raditz and Nappa learning to work as a unit, rather than in spite of each other, and Broly struggling with what is ultimately a weak (but more strategic and utility-oriented opponent). --Ginyu promptly would attempt to clean up the saiyans as he fought them, slapping around Vegeta around, but not being able to kill them as Raditz and Nappa jump him. Ultimately Broly would reappear (his fight took the longest to win) and through coordination and preventing Ginyu from stealing Broly’s body, they were able to ultimately beat him. ---Broly’s struggles in battles will mostly, especially at a space level, be against opponents who are difficult to defeat in a straightforward fashion. -Eventual battle with Freeza, going largely the same way as-is canon. Broly’s repeated battles against Guldo and Ginyu, which challenge him in an unorthodox way, leave him with a number of injuries that force the others to hold off their enemy for him. Broly was only able to defeat Guldo by being able to activate his Rage form, which seemed to “Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken” his way around time manipulation powers. --Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta die. Broly comes to the scene just as Freeza has killed Raditz (the first person he met who he felt understood him on some level beyond a love of fighting), which pushes Broly into a rage that unlocks his Super Saiyan State, in addition to his Rage Form. It’s at this point that Broly promptly brutalizes Freeza, and presumably dies on a collapsing planet.
-Broly is brought back to life via Dragon Balls after the discovery of his death. While in the afterlife, Broly was sent to train with North Kai by Kami Roshi’s recommendation. Broly also requested that his friends be trained as well, but due to their hearts had been sent to hell. --While training with North Kai Broly developed a better understanding of how to utilize his chi, as his physical abilities were beyond that of what this teacher’s training could do for him. Broly learns the Spirit Bomb. Broly’s heart is considered to be pure by the standard that he was repentant for the destruction and death he’d wrought during his rages as an oozaru, as well as subsequent instances involving his missions. After losing those close to him, Broly had changed for the better, and had become able to use the technique without the risk of backlash. -Upon Broly’s return to life, he would travel to Namek, taking two years roughly, to resurrect the other three saiyans. -The Android Saga would largely play out the same way until Cell was introduced, though as time would go on the Androids would become a tolerated nuisance once it became clear that they couldn’t kill Broly. Though this would not be a wholly disregarded thing, Broly never suffered from the same heart disease, and likely was unwilling to kill 16-20 in cold blood, though Gero would still be killed by 17 and 18 once it became unclear that 19 wouldn’t be able to handle him. -Cell wouldn’t hit the scene until Age 786, at which point Broly would experience a nearly world-ending battle, as this Cell would be the strongest in the multiverse. The ability for Broly to defeat Cell would likely hinge on Broly’s ability to think creatively, could be seen as ultimately a completion to a character arc for one who largely was able to power through fights, but was finally on the receiving end of a stronger unstoppable force.
-Majin arc probably didn’t occur? Or if it did, it was very brief since no Vegeta/Broly rivalry to force Buu to awaken, or if Buu did awaken it’s likely Broly would have been able to destroy him.
-Battle of Gods arc likely didn’t result in any permanent extension of contact between Whis and earthlings. It is highly likely that Broly simply killed Beerus, or nearly did, possible replacement of Beerus as GoD with Vegeta. -No Rez F, Broly keeps too tight a grip on the four-star ball for that. -Likely no future timeline Trunks so likely no Goku Black arc for same reason of obtaining the dragon balls just simply not occurring -If Beerus is dead or asleep after fighting Broly no Univ 6 v 7, meaning likely no Tournament of Power either.

A weird dream I had
Ok, so early on in my days in the Dragon Ball fandom, I really liked Yambul. And one night, I had a dream that they were having sex in the Kame House sometime during the interim between Fortuneteller Baba saga and the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. Anyway, Master Roshi, being the perv he is, overhears them having sex and enters the room they’re staying in. The uproar caused by him doing this ends up waking the rest of the inhabitants and as Master Roshi is asking Bulma if they can have a threesome, Krillin just turns to Launch and says, “I bet Bulma just got wolf-fang-fisted real hard!”
