Hello! I came back to say that yes, the expectations are not that high for this film compared to others that have been and that will be screened in these days. Plus, she asked some people there about this film and the only things they say about are “wrong advertisement", "director not able to do a good job" and “I hope that Florence can lift that film”.
they’re not talking so much about Harry, ‘cause they think that he’s the main reason the film was saved from being canceled, just ‘cause he is a “important” singer and not an actor. Poor Harry, I really don’t like all this
Oh, I love that you came back for more!
What you describe is totally what I would expect. At this point, expectations for DWD are so low that an okayish movie could be taken as a positive surprise. Not that it’s gonna help them much.
As far as I’ve heard movie critics in Venice are known to leave a movie early when they think they’re wasting their time. And after Bones and all got a record breaking 8.5 minutes standing ovations yesterday, I don’t expect DWD to stay on anyone’s mind… and if, then it’s for all the wrong reasons.
Please come back whenever, nonnie! I’d love to hear more about your friend’s experience. 💜

“Timothée for me is a profound partner in what we do together. It’s a privilege because he’s so intelligent and he’s so articulate. He was intelligent and articulate when I met him as a kid, at 17-years-old. The generosity of Timothée and the novelty of his soul are beautiful.”
