Hello! River or Starling is fine. I used to lean more towards River, but recently, I've been enjoying Starling more. It's because when I was younger, I wanted to give my self op insert a name. I took the name from the game "To The Moon" and then googled old rare last names, causing it to become River Starling! Which words out, because the name keeps accidentally foreshadowing other things I keep adding to that character, or creative writing I give for them.

I had a boost of productivity today! I know it might not be much, but I successfully brushed my teeth, vacuumed, and trimmed my dogs nails today. I recently used a new shampoo and this is only my first time but, it made my hair look a little more wavy than normal. And despite it being a moisturizer type, my hair doesn't feel heavy or dirty yet! I also tried a new chip snack today, too, and it wasn't bad! It's just a plain chip, but the texture is a little puffy but not too much, so it's comforting. ♡

My nephew came over today too. He's rather energetic but he's a good kid and interactions can be rather fun. He chased my cat, Linus, back into my room and closed the door saying "I don't want any cats to be let out" so that was, I never got a direct answer from him as to why.

I woke up and listened to music soon after, so I might be trying that another day to see if it helps make me productive right off the bat. I also am having pizza tomorrow, so it's good!

It's 2023 and violence against women is still happening at such high rates all around the world that the goal of ending violence against women by 2030 worldwide will not be reached. There has been a lot of progress made in many countries, but the fact still stands that globally 1 in 3 women will face gender-based violence at some time in their lives. That is far to high a number when women are such an important part of society.

As someone who literally got into MCR a few months after their split in 2013, I’ve always had a back catalogue of music to fall on. Even some of the more obscure songs that I’ve come across (‘Heaven Help Us’, I’m looking at you) have felt like stumbling onto a time capsule. I’m looking into the past at a dead band.

To hear a perfectly new and alive and present My Chemical Romance single in 2022 reignites the passion in my 12 year old self discovering them for the first time. Reminds me of sneaking in CDs, of drawing fake tattoos on my hands, of being totally enamoured with this one band.
