Celebrating Black Arts

After leaving my tour at the Guardian Building, I noticed there was a man giving out cups of coffee outside of 1001 Woodward; exactly what I needed for my afternoon pick-me-up!

I've been wanting to check out "Celebrating Black Arts" to enjoy the art and fashion, and it just so happened that the coffee was a part of the month-long celebration.

I made it in time to see a panel honoring the late Detroit poet, Naomi Long Madgett, and even met Martell of Sepia Coffee Project.
