twitter dot com/MediocreDruid/status/1614021998098653185 As a dtransitioner, what do you think of guidelines like these?
I definitely think detrans people should be able to revert their documents without 'proving' their biological sex (especially when the proof involves regressive sex stereotypes!). That’s pretty messed up. Tangentially, I think the situation is more difficult to change atm than it might seem.
from the comments -
Tumblr media
I hear a lot about bad gender clinics, and especially with many UK clinics now required to track their data better, making the detransition bar higher is likely an attempt at saving their butts. This could (and should) definitely be solved by not making detrans people have to prove it in the first place, so I agree with OP there.
The difficult issue would be trans ideology. The fact that one’s gender is purely defined as how one feels and/or gender dysphoria means that a trans woman is as much a woman as a bio woman if she fits those requirements (which have nothing to do with bio sex). In this respect, making it easier for detransitioners would be seen as transphobia since it would give undue preference and possibly imply that a trans person was their birth gender all along. I’d guess this is where gender recognition panels are coming from, and whatever a detransitioner feels about gender ideology doesn’t really matter (especially if the detransitioner in question is seen as “transphobic” themselves).
Tumblr media
So, making it easier for detransitioners would mean changing the definition of gender in general.
On top of that - even if an individual may see the logic in letting a detrans person easily revert to their legal gender, this would assume that the changed legal documents even indicate that the person was trans. However, current gender changes don’t come with a disclaimer or asterisk afaik - which is concerning imo. It means we can be gaslighted when trying to track statistics and allowing people in sex segregated places, in addition to making it harder for detransitioners trying to revert their certification. Of course there’s plenty of ways people can tell (old documents for example), but couldn’t we just say F* or something instead of pretending they were F from the start (and vice versa)? It seems like an important enough fact about a person.
I know that trans people would be against this. I don’t think there’s a good compromise.

xterm-16color
my very first nft release, xterm-16color, is a meta-heavy collection of tokens that i spent about 6 weeks creating. they were released in april '21
i was not aware of the environmental impact ethereum had back then, but shortly after this release i found out about this aspect when i discovered hicetnunc and tezos nfts
i switched over to releasing artworks on tezos instead, but now that ethereum has resolved the environmental impact i'm happy to list the remaining tokens again and explore the possibility of doing another ethereum release in the future
i have included images of all of the tokens below as well as their descriptions below in chronological order

A personal computing journey.
40 years of computing history, distilled into 16 pixels; from before graphics existed, through their inception, and finally, to a glimpse of what lies ahead.
We stop at important milestones and take a moment to reflect on what was once the cutting edge.
Each pixel was hand-crafted using technology available from the associated era. They were then embedded into companion pieces, using their raw data, in a way that embodies the artists personal experience at the time.
They have also been encoded into each NFTs metadata, and are accompanied with details of the hardware required to exhibit them as the artist intends, along with 1 of 17 clues to their true identity.

Let me just preface this by saying: I really like making fonts. There’s something fascinating about taking a symbol that has a universally-agreed-upon meaning and figuring out how to transform it in a way that keeps its basic structure recognizably intact while still giving it a unique personal touch and ensuring that it aesthetically fits into the greater context of whatever it’s being used for.
So, to that end: This is the default font used in Morlequariat. It’s used for most in-game UI elements, all narration, and almost all dialogue. All of the text in the game is stored on disk as ASCII, and so this font page corresponds to the printable range of ASCII (codepoints 0x20 to 0x7F). However, many of the punctuation symbols included in ASCII were not useful to me, so I replaced them with things that—at least to me—made some sense. The substitutions I made are as follows:
The hash sign (#) is replaced with the Sign of the Light. Any good Gothic fantasy setting needs to have one of two things: either superfluous crosses everywhere, or superfluous instances of whatever the equivalent holy symbol in the setting’s fictional religion is. I chose the latter.
The dollar sign ($) is still a currency symbol, but in this case the currency is gold coins and, in lieu of coming up with a symbol for them, I just drew a gold coin. I’m not entirely satisfied with how it looks (and especially with it being the only colored symbol on this font page), and once I have a better sense of how currency systems are going to be handled in the finished game I will probably replace this with something more appropriate.
The equal sign (=) is replaced with an ellipsis, mostly because a game that has more dialogue than it does mathematical equations is going to have a lot of ellipses and not many equal signs.
Similarly, the greater than (<) and less than (>) signs are replaced with arrows, mostly for use on road signs. Once I had these replaced, it was obvious to replace the caret (^) with an upwards arrow, and the underscore (_) being replaced with a downwards arrow was chosen because of its proximity on the codepage to the upwards arrow and because it’s the only symbol that has any connection to the idea of “below”.
The at sign (@) is replaced with a smiley face. Since I’ve never seen that symbol used for anything but email addresses, and email has not been invented yet in the setting of Morlequariat, it was effectively a blank space that I could put anything in; and this is a symbol I’ve seen frequently enough in the fonts of the old games for Nintendo handhelds that were such a major influence on the game’s aesthetic. I think the main reason I chose the replacement I did is because of the tendency of old-fashioned ASCII-graphics roguelikes to represent the player character with an at sign, and the tendency of upgraded versions of those same roguelikes that used the IBM 437 font to use the smiley face character instead.
The curly braces ( { } ) and the vertical pipe ( | ) are replaced with glyphs that can be combined to make variable-width dashes. This is because I have a tendency to use perhaps more em dashes (—) in casual writing than is strictly warranted, and the hyphen (-) is too short for that.
There are at least two other fonts of the same style that are going to be in the game. One is a Gothic Blackletter font, which is going to be used for inscriptions on ancient statues, dialogue spoken by historical figures, and the like. (This fontpage currently also contains a number of color-coded symbols for game concepts such as damage types and health meters, although these may end up getting moved to their own page at some point in the future.) The other is based on my own handwriting and will probably be used primarily for handwritten texts. As an unrelated personal side project (read: “way to procrastinate working on Morlequariat”), I have also expanded the primary font to cover the entire Greek alphabet and have gotten much further than necessary on replicating the entirety of the IBM 437 and Windows 1252 codepages.

uooh notes. the FON files storing ascii fonts are just a bitmap, but the FON files storing SJIS fonts have structure!!! they have a magic number: FN TC.
the header is 0x20 bytes long. (0x10~0x11 is 0x0020 in every font ive tested so its possible there are other header types?). 0x14~0x15 is the offset at the start of the bitmap section, i.e. the size of the header PLUS the size of the mapping section. 0x1E~0x1F is the bit depth of the bitmap section. 0x1C~0x1D is always 0x1010 from the fonts ive tested but im not sure what it means... 0x4~0x5 and 0x18~0x19 vary in every font, usually high values, and i dont know what they mean either. they might be flags where the bits have individual meanings. i would probably have to reverse engineer the engine
the mapping section immediately follows the header. its an array of 16-bit values, which maps an SJIS character to the n-th glyph in the bitmap. its a little strange since its kind of backwards. you know what character a glyph represents but not what glyph to use to render a character. its probably for the sake of saving space, and they then construct the reverse table in-game
the bitmap section then follows the mapping section immediately U_U theres no compression as far as ive seen

Sistem Komputer dan Bilangan
Mathari Aisya Suyono 9A/20
Pengertian Sistem Bilangan Komputer
Contoh: 11100011(2) = ......(16)
Solusi: kelompok bit paling kanan: 0011 = 3 kelompok bit berikutnya: 1110 = E . Hasil konversinya adalah: E3(16). Digit heksadesimal yang ditulis dulu.
Konversi Biner ke Desimal
Cara atau metode ini sedikit berbeda. Contoh: 1110(2) = ......(10) diuraikan menjadi: (1x23)+(1x22)+(1x21)+(0x20) = 8+ 4 + 2 + 0 =14
Hanya pengelompokkannya sebanyak dua bit. Seperti pada tabel utama. Contoh: 2A(16) = ......(2)
Solusi:
A = 1010,
2 = 0010
caranya: A=10
10:2=5(0)-->sisa
5:2=2(1)
2:2=1(0)
1:2=0(1)
ditulis dari hasil akhir hasil:1010
2:2=1(0)-->sisa
1:2=0(1)
a). Input Device (Perangkat masukan)
Software dibedakan menjadi beberapa macam, misalnya seperti:
a). Operating System (Sistem Operasi)
a). Programer

jinja + form + unicode control characters + xml/docx integration
I am creating word documents based on a users input in a form. However, when the user inputs a unicode control character, and trying to make a word file out of this using the python-docx package, this error occurs:
File "src\lxml\apihelpers.pxi", line 1439, in lxml.etree._utf8ValueError: All strings must be XML compatible: Unicode or ASCII, no NULL bytes or control characters
I managed to tackle this issue by checking the form for invalid xml characters before each request (I have many forms where this problem might occur), and removing any invalid xml characters from the fields. I then make a new Immutable Multi Dictionary, and fill it with the cleaned text.
from docx import Documentfrom docx.shared import Inchesfrom flask import Flask, render_template_string, requestfrom werkzeug.datastructures import ImmutableMultiDictdef valid_xml_char_ordinal(c): codepoint = ord(c) return (0x20 <= codepoint <= 0xD7FF or codepoint in (0x9, 0xA, 0xD) or 0xE000 <= codepoint <= 0xFFFD or 0x10000 <= codepoint <= 0x10FFFF)app = Flask(__name__)@app.before_requestdef before_request(): if 'check_form_xml_validity' in request.form: tuple_list = [] for field_name in request.form: all_field_values = request.form.getlist(field_name) for field_value in all_field_values: cleaned_field_value = ''.join(c for c in field_value if valid_xml_char_ordinal(c)) tuple_list.append((field_name, cleaned_field_value)) request.form = ImmutableMultiDict(tuple_list)@app.route('/', methods=['GET', 'POST'])def form_test(): if request.method == 'GET': x = '' # this seemingly empty string is not empty, but contains a bunch of control characters return render_template_string( """<form action="{{ url_for('form_test') }}" method="post"> <input name="some_field" value="{{x}}"><br> check the xml validity of this form? <br> <input type="checkbox" checked name="check_form_xml_validity"><br> <button>submit</button> </form>""", x=x) else: doc = Document() p = doc.add_paragraph(request.form['some_field']) return 'yay'
And this method works perfectly. However, it seems very unlikely that I'm the only one with this problem, but yet I couldn't find any clean solutions. So the question is, should I really be solving this problem in the current way? It's pretty tedious, and it feels like I'm overlooking some Flask or python-docx setting or argument somewhere which would solve this issue.
The example is fully functional, and if the checkbox is checked, the before_request function is executed. If the checkbox is not checked, it is not executed and the mentioned server error will show.

The control character is: U+000C : <control-000C> (FORM FEED [FF])

Ive seen opinions in radblr where people are like “I’m a lesbian I’ve never felt attraction to men, so if you ever thought you were attracted to any man ever (even in a distant fictional way) you’re bi”
like don’t get me wrong, I completely understand the thought, but I seriously want to know what people think about “bi” people who are only attracted to the opposite sex from a distance (like rarely a fictional character/celebrity is hot but wouldn’t be attracted irl). Cause it can make sexuality hella confusing and I’m pretty sure most gay people on here would call the reverse situation straight without question.

#Mod xm s3m openmtp mod#
#Mod xm s3m openmtp code#
It rocks from the get-go, and is a very repeatable listen despite the fact it is a brief and repetetive song, due to how the simplistic samples are manipulated throughout the song to give them a rich and varying tenor. Musically, this song has the distinction of having a superlative melody, for being ultrafast techno (circa 1995). Posted by TMA Placeholder Account on Thu 26th Sep 2002, rated 10 / 10.įirst of all, I'm going to start this review by saying how apalled I was at the prior review of this song, which was brief, inaccurate, and lowballed. This was not only very good back in 1995 when songs like these were being passed around on floppies and BBSes and the early internet, but it's also good now as downloading this song would be practically no issue on today's hundreds-of-gigabytes-big hard drives or very fast 4G wi-fi. However, on top of all of this, the entire S3M is only 20.8 kilobytes. The melody is a bit too repetitive, though, and nothing is really added to it, and there's no extension to it. This feel is as if the song was part of some suspicious computer program, but for some reason, you want to keep listening. That droning bass, as well as that little square-wave part of the rhythm, adds to the electronic feel of the song. The percussion is very great with that echo-ish snare and that kick and those cymbals are cool as well. Nonetheless, I then discovered it was an S3M by reading up on its Fanimutation Wiki article that it used to be an OpenMPT example song. What a strange way to discover such an awesome song like this. I later learned its name when it was used as the loading song in an animutation by Dwedit called 'Suzukisan!'. I first heard this song, strangely enough, in a WebGL tech demo game called 'Teach Me To Fly'. tick + static_cast(duration), static_cast(points.Posted by Nikku4211 on Wed 5th Jun 2019, rated 9 / 10. level ĭuration = std::max(( 256 * a) / (duration * b), 1) until it reaches the next stage level.
