I’m way way WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY behind on that “100 Days to New Horizons” thing, but I still want to do all the questions. so I’ll catch up now, and put everything behind a readmore!

1.Do you prefer making up a new name for your villager, or using your own name?

I’ve never used my own name, I’d rather have my villager/mayor be a character I can make my own little backstory for.

2. Do you use the first map you’re given, or do you reset for layouts?

I reset for layouts!

3. Do you use the face you’re given, or do you wait for guides and choose your favourite?

my first time through, I just used the face I was given, but on subsequent characters I used the guide.

4. Favourite town/island name?/Have you a name picked out for your town/island?

yep, I’m gonna call my island Eventide!

5. Will you be sharing with friends/family, or is your island going to be all your own?

ALL MINE

6. What’s a new feature you’re excited about?

crafting!

7. Favourite fruit?

apples look so pretty in their perfect form!

8. Least favourite fruit?

orange, I’ve never been able to stick with having orange as a native fruit.

9. Favourite area? (Beach, campground, shopping district etc, from any entry in the series.)

I like the campground in New Leaf, and the shopping district

10. Where do you like to like to put your house? Do you like that level of customization, or do you prefer to have some things decided, like in older entries?

near the ocean, so I can hear the tides in my house! I love that level of customization, and if I can change my mind and move my tent elsewhere in NH, that’ll be even better! (I do look forward to camping right on the beach, though!)

Stinky. he moved into a bad spot in my first town, has a horrible name, and took forever to leave. :x after that it was a long time before I warmed up to Jocks…

15. Did you like doing Tom Nook’s chores, or did you find those to be a pain?

I’ve only played a little bit of Wild World and City Folk, but I didn’t mind them. I like having little tasks to accomplish in a game.

Lyle, Pave, Phyllis, and Zipper.

18. Do you use paths? Are you excited about the new path tool?

yes, I do, and YES I AM

19. Favourite feature from an older entry?

Celeste’s observatory! admittedly I haven’t played much of the older games, but I really liked this feature and want to see it brought back. I’d be up to see other older features that people talk fondly about come back too.

20. What was your first Animal Crossing game?

New Leaf!

21. Favourite activity (fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, other)?

bug catching! also decorating my house

22. Least favourite activity?

probably watering, there’s a reason I use the Beautiful Town ordinance as soon as I’m mayor! hunting fossils can get annoying sometimes too, when a dig spot is hidden and I have to walk all over town multiple times to find it…

23. Favourite bug?

bell crickets and evening cicadas make such soothing noises, and the bell crickets have a unique display too! I also really like the ant farm display, and so many of the butterflies, and I can’t NOT mention all the stag beetles that made me so much money

24. Least favourite bug?

mole cricket. so danged hard to catch…

25. A quarter of the way there! How’s the wait?

IT’S TORTURE, EVEN MORESO SINCE WE’RE ALSO WAITING FOR A DIRECT WITH MORE INFO

goldfish and sea butterfly display so prettily! I also really like all the sharks, and the frog (even though it’s not really a fish)

anything I can turn into a mini fossil, those are neat (and fun to decorate with)

don’t really have one, tbh

Classic is a BIG favorite, I love how it looks customized to be the dark wood! I also really like Mush, Blue, Green, Ice, Mermaid, Gracie, Princess, and Rococo.

Balloon :x also Sleek, Stripe, and Minimalist

32. Favourite soundtrack? (Gamecube, DS/Wii, etc)

New Leaf by default, but I also really love the songs in it

I didn’t really get too involved with the community during the time of NL :( but I’d like to do more this time around with NH!

… too many! I do love me a good food item, though, particularly that pickle jar and so many added in WA, and the fireplace, and those Weeding Day ones... and all the Zelda items, of course, especially the Fairy Bottle, Lon Lon Milk, and the Hero of Time scroll…

40. Will you be buying a Switch for Animal Crossing, or do you already have one?

already have one!

besides the Balloon set? any of the construction zone items (so ugly), and most sports equipment. probably a lot I’m forgetting

they’re both fun, but I like the Bug-Off furniture more and it has a feeling of being more special, as it’s a summer-only event

I love the idea of it, but I’m not good at actually making them

I tended to have really bad luck with this! I only really got to take advantage of it when I got a second DS

All About the Letter M

Animals I Like: Monkeys, meerkats, and manatees. Foods I Like: Macarons are my favorite. I also likeeee miso soup, mussels, and mandu. Also throwing in mayonnaise in here even though it’s technically not a food item because mayo is everything. I Know Someone Who’s (jobs): Mayor, musician, museum curator, magician, makeup artist. I Wouldn’t Mind Visiting: Malta, Morocco, Monaco, and Madrid, Spain. Sometimes I Feel: Mad and melancholic.

Music I Listen To: Oh man, I got nothing but Miley Cyrus lol. I like one or two songs from a lot more M artists but I don’t really ~listen~ to them in general so I don’t feel right counting them. Movies I’ve Seen: Midsommar, Mildred Pierce, My Fair Lady, Maleficent, Misery, Moonrise Kingdom, Monsters Inc., The Martian, Me Before You, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Me and You and Everyone We Know. Names I Like: Mia, Margaret/Maggie, Marissa. For boys I really like Mason and Matteo. And now, onto the random questions! 1. Where do you keep your money? My wallet, which I haven’t touched in a hoooot minute except for when I paid for Cooper’s new medicines. 2. Do you often stare at the moon? No. I do only when I’m outside, or when the moon is supposed to look different for a certain night. 3. Are mice cute or do they freak you out? They mostly freak me out, but I still like them. I’m just not good with small animals haha. 4. Do you know anyone who acts like a martyr? Me. I usually do whatever it takes to make my loved ones happy, even if it means I’m uncomfortable. Gabie always scolds me with “You’re too nice” lol. 5. Do you have moles anywhere on your body? Yes. I have a couple on my arms, under my chin, on my chest, and on a finger. 6. Do you keep menus in a drawer? Nope. If I needed a menu I’d just go on Zomato. 7. How often do you get manicures? Never. 8. What’s your favorite mug you own? I only have one mug because it’s all I need haha and it’s a white mug with a wifi design on it. The color of the design changes depending on whether my beverage is still too hot to drink or if it’s already cooled down. 9. Do you drink milk? Why or why not? I don’t drink it directly because I’m afraid it’s gonna turn my stomach upside down haha. I do consume a lot of things with milk though. 10. Favorite type of monkey? I don’t know, I never really thought about their specific types. I just like monkeys in general :) 11. Would you rather see a moose up close or eat some mousse? See the moose. That’s gonna be a once in a lifetime thing for me so I’d rather take it. I can buy or make mousse whenever I want. 12. Which Mexican foods do you enjoy? Chimichangas, fajitas, quesadillas, and chili con carne. 13. Have you ever felt like you were melting? Every April and May, yes. 14. Do you ever get any good mail or is it all bills and junk? It’s all just bills. Sometimes my dad’s orders from online will come in, but otherwise I don’t partake in anything that would make me get my own mail. 15. Which types of melon do you enjoy? No fruits for me, haha. 16. Did you get all of your molars? I...think so? I never got them checked but I suppose I did. 17. What is your favorite memory? I have lots, but one that stands out to me now was my 20th birthday. I decided to celebrate it by driving out of town on my own for the first time, and with that freedom I chose to drive to a beach in Batangas with Gabie and we spent a whole day there. 18. What was the last food in your fridge that was moldy? Euuugh oh my gosh I don’t even know. I think it was pasta. 19. Do you like what you see when you look in the mirror? For the most part.

20. Could you use a massage right about now? I think I could because I’ve been feeling quite sore; but realistically speaking I doubt I could survive a massage because I’m very ticklish. [a-zebra-is-a-striped-horse]

Hybrid, chapter one

Seris Summary: Reader is part shapeshifter part which, she runs away from her cultist family before they try to sacrifice her familiar, Whisper to some deity she never bothered to learn the name of. She no longer wants to be part of that life. Doing so, she finds herself looking for a job. Her last resort is Lux, a night club that was all the way at the bottom her job list.

Warnings: cult stuff mentioned, sacrificing mentioned.

Chapter summary: applies for a job at Lux, before she even starts the job she runs into some trouble with her past.

“Whisper! Even McDonalds denied my request” you say looking to her grey tabby familiar. The feline chuckles and puts his paw on the next job on your list. You let out a stiff sigh and look to your cat. He looks amused. “Really? I guess your right, it’s my only option”

You grab your stuff and slip on your favorite band t-shirt. You check to make sure you look semi-decent and fix your hair. You doubt you’ll need to look that fancy for this night club. The people there might not even wear clothes half the time.

“Let’s head out” Your cat turns into mist and manifests into a tattoo of a cat paw on your wrist. It glows your favorite color and then stops, turning to a solid black. You do this every time you leave to a non-pet friendly place. Other times you grab a harness and leash.

It’s not uncomfortable in there. Whisper is basically on a floating island. He tells you its a forest with a meadow and it’s pretty big. You two can still communicate through telepathy like this.

Your uber drops you off at the night club. The music is shut off and so are the lights as it is the afternoon. There is still a security guard at the front. You walk up to the place, studying it’s glorying. The large sign must look so divine at night.

“Hi sir, may I go in to ask about a job position?” The officer speaks into his walkie-talki and gives you a nod. He opens the door and you step inside. You’ve never seen such a night club. There is a grand piano in the middle, comfy booths, and a big dancing area. Your eyes land at a bar where a fairly attractive man and woman sit awaiting you.

Maybe they are both prostitutes as well, Whisper says in your mind. You ignore him and walk up to the two.

“Hi, I’m Ms. Black, I’m interested to see if you have any job positions,” You say as well-mannered as you can.

“Depends, what positions can you do?” The woman says with a smirk. You almost choke on air.

“Uhh, what?” You simply reply.

“This is a nightclub sweetheart, we don’t have many waitress positions opens, plus guys still want to get in your bed” He says. This is not how you expected it to go. You nod and start walking out. You start going up the stairs when Whisper pops in your mind.

Don’t give up, go back and tell them, not ask

“Umm actually, are you sure there isn’t anything else opened?” You turn. Whisper is right, you can’t just give up. The two study you and take glances at each other as if they are speaking as you do with Whisper. The man then turns to you and smiles.

“I’ll open one up for you, how about… bartender?” He grins. You gladly except.

You put on one of the most revealing things you ever wore. A crop top and booty shorts. Both black. You don’t even recognize yourself in the mirror. You turn to see Whisper looks with the biggest and most humanly grin a cat has ever done. “I need the money… “You say to yourself. You pull out your phone and call an Uber.

When you get there, it is 8 pm. Your boss, whose name you found out was Lucifer is waiting for you. This time with a girl with blonde hair and doesn’t look like a hooker. A detective.

“Detective Decker wants to ask you some questions” Neither you or Whisper are happy about this. You follow the woman over to a table, incredibly self-conscience of how you look.

“Where were you Tuesday night, 5:00 am?” She says clearing her throat. Whisper seems very silent.

“Sleeping, I didn’t get up till 11:00 am that day, I stayed up till 3:00 am that night” You answer. What are you being accused of?

“Do you know a Tommy marshall?” She pulls out a picture of a man. It’s a boy maybe your age, 20’s. He has curly brown hair and blue eyes. You study him. You’ve never seen him before.

“No” You simply state.

“Were you ever involved in any ritualistic activities” By this time, Lucifer is right above her shoulder. You freeze, unsure of what to say.

Just tell the truth, Whisper says.

“Yes…. but I left that, my parents…. Were umm-- they liked that sort of thing,” You say, very uncomfortable. Lucifer’s curious eyes fall on you. This pecked his interest, he was just bored of it before.

Do you think they did it? Whisper says.

“Do you know who did it…. The poor boy… I- I hope you find who did this, I’ll help in any way I can” You say. Decker looks to Lucifer. She knows something else.

“Your DNA was found at the scene” You stare, shocked. You know who did this. The only thing that could is magic. Your parents. They could alter the scene using magic and replace any DNA. At least if you need to go on the run, it’s fairly easy. But you don’t exactly want to spend the time 100 years as a wolf.

“How?” You say, you can tell Lucifer sees right through you. This is the last thing you need. You have to keep cover. If a mortal finds out witches exist, not only your parents would be after you, but the whole council.

“You know how this goes, stay in the state” She says and starts walking away. You get up, standing while unsure of what to do with yourself.

“You know how your DNA was there don’t you?” His tone scares you. He thinks you killed that boy. You have no motive, but rituals can be just as fitting. You bite you tounge.

“I didn’t do it if that's what your thinking, it has to be my parents, at least my mom,” You say. Your dad, biological dad is a shifter, who also is dead. The dad now could care less for you.

“Why would she do this? Hm?” He says. His eyes have a slight shade of red. They would scare any mortal. But your not one. “What is it you desire?” He adds.

You hear a high pitched ring. You ignore it the best you can. You look at Lucifer who looks baffled upon imagination. He seems to try to get a closer look. “How are you not affected? What are you?”

“Human” He sees through that lie.

“My family are all witches, that’s how my DNA is there, they did a spell” You sigh. It’s your only choice. He would have killed you if you didn’t tell him. You still have to kill the hybrid part a secret. You're not supposed to exist, with your dad being a alpha shifter and all.

“A which? Now that's enticing! You have a familiar still I bet? That’s why you ran, I knew I recognized your last name!” He says spinning around in circles. Your family has a reputation. They don’t think you should depend on a familiar so they sacrifice them.

“And i’ll have to be on the run if my parents don’t get caught….” You say. Something sparkles in his eyes.

“Want to make a deal?” He smirks. The more and more you talk, the more you think he’s the actual devil. You shake your head, you don’t want to fall into this trap. Who knows what he might have you do and you don’t want to get into any more trouble, you also don’t think you should go with this job.

Get out of there, there is an angel on his way from the silver city who won’t take too kindly to you.

“I have to go” You start to rush up but he grabs your arm. You hear the flapping of wings and see a dark-skinned man behind Lucifer. He doesn’t look happy but Lucifer looks thrilled.

“Ahh brother” While he was distracted you took that chance and run. Lucifer turns and tries to go after you but you turn a corner and run down an alley where you turn into a rat, which is extremely painful. Turning into small animals hurt, or new ones, and when you turn to fast into an animal you haven’t been before. Luckily, he didn’t see you. And since your in a animal form, he probably thought you did some spell to disappear.

You hate being rodents. At least the ones like mice, rats, and moles. They feel so disgusting and you hate the instincts that come with them. So you turn into a hawk once Lucifer left.

You fly to your house but don’t go inside as there are police going in and out. They must have gotten a warrant. They aren’t going to find anything. At least you hope. You land somewhere on the ground far away and turn into a cat that looks like Whisper. You need to see whats going on. You walk out of the trees around you and greet an officer by rubbing against his pants. “Dan, leave the cat be” You see Decker come over. She picks you up and carries you into the house.

“Lucifer, I think this is the pet you were talking about her having” Crap, you try to scramble out, especially since you see the angel from before looking at you with daggers. You barely manage to move an inch.

“How did you know she had one?” Dan says, coming from behind. You whisper sorry and use your claws to get out but she still doesn’t let go. You don’t dare bite her though. You don’t want to end up in a lab.

“She told me about him, wonder if it has any evidence on it?” You glare at the two angels. You bite Decker and she lets you go in a fit of pain. You run but Lucifer’s angel friend picks you up. He has a much stronger grip. He also isn’t nice about it. Ohhh he is going to be having a bear after him someday.

“Should we crate it?” The dark angel says. You hiss and try to move. But his grip threatens to break your ribs. You're already going to be sore from all the shifting in the morning if you can escape then.

“It doesn’t look to have any evidence on it, but we can use it to bring her in if she’s as close to it as you said it was” Oh no. You really need to get away. You take the risk and bite the angel, which does nothing. You bite again, with more force and taste some blood. He drops you in shock, one that you actually share in the fact you made him bleed. You race into the woods and turn human and release Whisper. He knows what to do. He walks around some as you go off into the woods. You don’t think you can turn anymore, you could risk breaking some limbs.

The next morning once you get back you get a call. You are relieved. Witches get worried if their familiar isn’t around for a while and their magic can act up, that is if they are alive. “Yes?” You say, you don’t need to fake the worry.

“If you want your cat, we need you to come in, doesn’t look good that you disappeared yesterday” Decker was on the other side. You didn’t waste anytime. You took some ibuprofen, even though they barely work for your shifting pain. You race out the door and call an Uber. It comes in 10 min and takes 45 min to get to the LAPD.

You walk in and Lucifer walks you to the questioning room. The new captain, pierce is there along with Decker. They don’t look to happy. There seems to be something going on between them.

Decker is quick to start. She asks the same questions, gets the same response. Then Pierce comes in and asks the same, making sure I don’t change up my story. Since I didn’t, they are discussing my fate outside. I know if I’m desperate enough and they try to aresst me, I’ll turn into a fly or something right in front of them, and let me tell you, insects hurt a lot.

“Amenadiel walks to speak to her” I hear as the door opens. It’s Lucifer and the angel from before, who I now know is Amenadiel. They turn the camera off and walk over to you. Lucifer is carrying the crate Whisper is. He doesn’t look happy, you’d make it up to him by going on a hunt with him.

“Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you right here and right now” Amenadiel says.

“Cause it’s illegal and your surrounded by cops?” You say sitting back, crossing your arms. Your still a little afraid of him, but since he doesn’t seem to have silver on him you should be fine.

“You think I care? I can stop time” He says. Lucifer leans against the wall, wondering what you’ll do. You simply shrug.

“Can I have my cat back now?” You say with annoyance in your voice. It’s the best way to hide your fear. He already wants to kill you and you barely know each other.

“I didn’t know the Blacks had a daughter, we would of slaughtered you as soon as your were born!” He says. You chuckle, no one was supposed to know. If they did, everything would be after you.

“An angel would kill a baby?” You say as menacing as you can. Angels didn’t use to scare you. But when one nearly killed your mom, who always scares you, that changed. Of course you were kinda hoping the angel finished her off. You were hiding then so they couldn’t see you.

“No, I’d kill a witch,”He growls through his teeth. He turned to Lucifer who if he had popcorn, would be eating it. He looks so entertained. You hope Lucifer doesn’t hate your guts.

“Fare enough” You get up and take the crate from Lucifer who looks stunned. You open it up and a angry Whisper jumps out. You pick him up and walk out. Decker looks in and sees Amenadiel. She looks even less happy. She walks in past you and goes in, slamming the door. None of the cops gave you any trouble.

How we read this passage is important. Flying things, or fowls, that creep, a reference to insects, that move along the ground as if they were walking on all fours like a horse or a cow, were forbidden. This is clear because insects have six legs and both God and Moses would have known that so then we are compelled to understand the reference to four legs as the way they move.

Entomologists report that there are five types of insect legs. One type are cursorial or running legs. Saltatorial legs are for jumping. Raptorial legs are for hunting. Natatorial legs are for swimming. Fossorial legs are for digging burrows. With regard to flying insects, the context, if they have four legs to run on the ground with they cannot be eaten. But, if those insects have distinct legs for jumping, Saltatorial legs, as well, they can be eaten. Other insects cannot be eaten.

Looking at verse 26 I need to review some things and add to my understanding. A hoof is the tip of the toe of an ungulate mammal by today’s classification. Even-toed ungulates like sheep, deer, goats, bison, and pigs are said to be cloven-footed. Odd-toed ungulates would include horses, asses, zebras, and rhinoceroses, called unicorns in the Bible. A unicorn has three toes so it is not called cloven-footed as that is for even-toed ungulates but it does divide the hoof. The divided hoof of an odd-toed ungulate is not clovenfooted.

Verse 29 and onward tends to clear things up for us about the purpose of things being clean or unclean as it appears there is a strong concern for reasons of disease and health. It does then appear that God’s commandments regarding clean and unclean things has to do in part with matters of public health.

Here may be rudimentary rules of sanitation in a world without antibiotics or an understanding of the germ theory of disease. With such a large group of people wandering about such a consideration must have been paramount. While God did promise;

And gave a warning;

Deuteronomy 28:60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.

With His withholding diseases from them and also providing prudent restrictions on their diet and the handling of dead animals there appears to be a pattern here. Yes, it can be argued that He did not want them handling or associating with animals that were worshipped by the heathen but virtually every animal was worshipped by someone as man’s religion degraded after the Flood.

I bring this up in the context of Leviticus to underscore the idolatry endemic to the ancient world with regard to animal worship but also I want to emphasize that the public health aspects of the naming of clean and unclean seems more consistent. Still, we will know the whole story behind this in eternity. One argument against the public health theory is that in the episode in Acts where Peter sees a sheet descending from heaven with all sorts of unclean animals in it God tells Peter;

Acts 10:15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

So, clearly this is a reference to ceremonial uncleanness as pigs are still pigs and weasels haven’t changed much in 2,000 years.

One other note, see how the mouse was hinted at as being part of ancient diets and perhaps worship?

Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

Holy Mole-y

European Mole (Talpa europaea)

Habitat:

The European mole lives in underground tunnels they have created, and occasionally visit above ground when the young have to find new territories. Young moles have to leave their mothers burrow and find new territory, which means creating new tunnels or inhabiting existing ones.

Behaviour:

Feeding – Moles mainly eat earthworms and small bugs, but can also feed on mice and shrews. Moles create ‘worm traps’ with their underground tunnels; as worms fall through the top layer of soil, the moles sense their movement and kill, then eat it. Mole saliva actually contains a toxin that paralyses earth worms, so they can store living prey for a short time.

Breeding – Their breeding season lasts from March to April. Males find females using high-pitched squeals and tunnelling through areas they haven’t before. Their pregnancies are 4-5 weeks long, and a litter usually consists 2-7 pups.

History and Folklore:

The term mole comes from the middle English word ‘Moldwarp’ which means ‘earth thrower’. In the 18th century, it was believed that if you held a mole in your hand until it died, that hand would acquire healing properties. In the 19th century, the powder of skinned and dried male moles was believed to cure ague (a malaria associated fever). Until the 20th century, fresh mole blood was believed to cure warts, and mole hands/feet were carried in bags around the neck as it was believed to protect against illnesses such as epilepsy and toothache.

Albino Moles:

This breed of European mole occurs due to a lack of melanin, which affects pigmentation; they have pure white fur and skin, and pink eyes. An urban myth surrounding albinism in moles claims that if caught, the mole catcher would learn of his own demise. Albinism has its own disadvantages; when young have travel above ground to find new territories, they are more detectable. Due to this, it is impossible to calculate the true number of albino moles because of them will have unrecorded deaths – but, it is thought that there are only 400 albino moles in the UK.

100 things the Lodgers are no longer allowed to do

1. ‘For the good of science!’ is not an appropriate response to ‘Why is everything on fire?’

2. Unrelated to the above, Mr Sinnett and Mr Luckett are not allowed to combine their work in any way without written permission from Dr Jekyll.

3. Related to the above two, Mr Luckett is not allowed in the Chemistry Lab. Ever.

4. Mr Hyde is no longer allowed to make comment on or imply anything about any of the Lodgers’ sex lives.

5. Including his own.

6. Especially his own.

7. Do not taunt the repair kraken, we don’t want another incident.

8. Do not make comment on any Lodgers’ height. Especially the blonde ones. We aren’t pointing fingers. Honest.

9. On that note; don’t make comment on any lodgers’ weight, social background, ethnicity, gender or weight. They are passionate, slightly mad and have easy access to dangerous lab equipment. You have been warned.

10. Do not mess with Dr Jekyll’s morning cup of tea. Just don’t.

11. Dr Griffin is not allowed to turn any more mice, rats or similar rodents invisible.

12. Nor is he allowed to breed the already invisible mice, rats or similar rodents to create more. Seriously we have enough problems with them as is.

13. Progress Reports SHOULD NOT NEED to start with ‘I can explain…’

14. Dr Jekyll is to stop leaving his coat, hat and other clothing garments littered all over the society. Or said items will be sold for the good of the society!

15. If it makes Mr Hyde giggle for longer than 15 seconds, it’s not allowed.

16. Rachel is not to wander around the society covered in blood, wielding a kitchen knife and/or making ominous sounds when guests are present.

17. Nobody is to do the above, on that note.

18. Alcohol is not to be consumed in any of the labs or whilst working. Drunk science may seem fun but it is a bad idea!

19. I don’t care if Mr Hyde said it was allowed, it isn’t.

20. Lodgers are not allowed to have a contest to see who can make the biggest “boom”.

21. Because Mr Luckett will win and the repairs will come out of your monthly research grant.

22. The Secret Rogue Scientist Fight Club is hereby disbanded and banned.

23. Mr Doodles’ confectionaries are not to be taken without his permission. Ever. Please, you’ll make him cry!

24. Please do not laugh manically around members of the public or the police.

25. Please do not mention potentially illegal activities around members of the public or the police.

26. Nobody is to suggest, imply or outright state anything pertaining to Scotland being less than great within ear shot of Mr Hyde and Dr Jekyll.

27. Lodgers are reminded not to fall asleep in the middle of conducting experiments.

28. Wine is not a substitute for breakfast.

29. Nor is tequila, vodka, whiskey or anything other than actual breakfast.

30. The following words and phrases are never to be uttered within the same topic of conversation in any combination: “Necrophilia,” “I hate everyone on this society and I wish they’d die,” “Dr Maijabi’s mystic powers,” “Experimental lubricant,” “airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow,” “the many uses of cheese,” “it’ll be fine so long as we don’t tell them,” and any mentions of Mr Mosley being part mole.

31. Adding more ingredients does not always fix the problem.

32. Tea parties on Dr Maijabi’s floating furniture are banned until further notice.

33. Please respect that no one in the society shares the same sleeping pattern and keep the noise down at all times.

34. That means you, Edward.

35. Unless Rachel has given you permission, the Lodgers are not allowed to cook their own meals. We don’t need another exploded oven, thank you.

36. Do not make potions in the kitchen. You have your labs.

37. Do not use Mr Sinnett’s pyrotechnics to cook.

38. Not even if it’s to make s’mores, we still haven’t cleaned up the mess from last time!

39. I don’t care what your excuse is, nobody is to steal or ‘borrow’ anyone else’s equipment or experiments without their owner’s permission.

40. "Hyde made me do it" is not a valid excuse for anything, especially when he didn’t.

41. Likewise, lying that ‘Mr Hyde did it’ when questioned by Dr Jekyll will not end well for you. He will somehow know that you are lying and Mr Hyde won’t be happy when he finds out.

42. If Dr Jekyll asks to see you, please don’t start the conversation with ‘You can’t prove anything!’

43. ‘It wasn’t me!’ is not a valid alternative to the above.

44. Nor is ‘I’ll clean it up! I promise!’

45. Please avoid intentionally or unintentionally scaring Dr Lanyon. Please, he’s fragile and easily startled.

46. Dr Jekyll is not to be provoked when he’s doing paperwork.

47. All the many betting pools found in the society are unofficial. Enter them at your own risk.

48. This should go without saying but please do not lick any of the lab equipment.

49. Dr Griffin is banned from the kitchen following an incident where a large portion of food was turned invisible.

50. Please do not repeat the above for pranking reasons.

51. Should anyone or anything claim to be from the future, avoid it at all costs and quickly inform Dr Jekyll. He can take it from there.

52. Glitter is banned within the society. End of argument.

53. No, neither Dr Jekyll nor Mr Hyde are in violation of the above. They just seem to sparkle naturally. We don’t know how either.

54. Do not insult Dr Jekyll. He may not react, or more worryingly start agreeing with you, but the rest of Lodgers will find out and will not be happy.

55. Do not dance on the furniture.

56. Yes, Hyde does it but he’s screwing the boss.

57. Do not mention Hyde possibly screwing the boss.

58. Do not refer to Dr Jekyll as ‘the boss’.

59. Please remove the above three statements immediately! – Dr Jekyll

60. It is impossible to keep anything a secret for more than a week in the society. You have been warned.

61. Gossip in the Society travels at a rate that is just slightly slower than the speed of sound. Again, you have been warned.

62. If you don’t know what it is or what it does, DO NOT touch it!

63. If it’s leaking fluid and it shouldn’t, either fix it or back away slowly and hope it doesn’t explode.

64. Zosi did not eat anyone’s lab equipment, monthly reports or left sock. Stop blaming it on them!

65. Do not attempt to pick Mr Bird’s plants to make flower crowns. Half of them are poisonous, the other half will eat you.

66. Do not take Bryson’s hot air balloon on a joy ride.

67. Likewise with Dr Helsby’s Bathyscaph.

68. Do not steal Dr Jekyll’s sparkly carriage for the same purpose either.

69. Also do not steal Mr Mosley’s Hollow Earth Submarine. That man owns a drill and will use it on you.

70. Please do not mess about with Mr Doodle’s candyfloss machine. Flooding the upstairs with candyfloss might seem fun at the time but it’s a pain to clean up. And it took us three hours to get Mr Hyde down off the ceiling last time.

71. Clothing must be worn at all time in communal areas of the society. Invisible clothing does not count.

72. Dr Griffin is not allowed to flip any more table unless all the work on them is his own and he pays for the table if he breaks it.

73. Dr Jekyll is not to be referred as anyone’s ‘mother’.

74. The Lodgers must not present any of 'the wonders of science' to children without a RESPONSIBLE adult's oversight.

75. Mr Hyde does not count as a responsible adult.

76. Nor do most of the lodgers either on that note.

77. Don’t ask why Mr Hyde is sometimes seen wearing Dr Jekyll’s clothes.

78. Or vice versa. It just happens.

79. Dr Griffin is not to go to West Sussex ever. Especially the area near the village of Iping and the town of Bramblehurst.

80. The lodgers are to note that ‘It is better to beg forgiveness than ask permission’ no longer applies to them. Dr Jekyll is more than willing to give permission, but do get permission first!

81. Please do not release the repair kraken on the streets. The general public and the Police do not appreciate its presence there.

82. Any bake sales hosted within the society grounds are to give at least two thirds of the profits to the society funds.

83. No lodger is to take the laws of physics as a personal insult to their work.

84. Nor are they to take the laws of reality as a personal insult either.

85. No unnecessary science in the lobby!

86. If you see one of Miss. Flower's butterflies, carefully catch it and return it to her as soon as possible.

89. Expect Mr Doodle’s, with his permission. As mentioned above.

91. No, Mr Penniebrygg is not building an automaton army. Or at least he shouldn’t be!

92. No lodger is to go within twenty feet of Mr Tweedy or his equipment when he is working. If you ignore this and are electrocuted, it’s your own damn fault.

93. Do not send threatening or angry letters to the Theatre across the road.

94. If you must, do not sign them with your’s or the Society’s name!

95. Making ‘time of the month’ jokes around the female Lodgers or Mr Kaylock is not appropriate.

96. Do not try to feed Mr Kaylock dog biscuits.

97. Do not try to feed Mr Hyde cat food!

98. Do not feed the leviathan. We still aren’t sure what it is or if it eats or what it eats. So please don’t.

99. Midnight dance parties are banned unless Mr Hyde is invited. All chaos cause by said midnight dance parties must be cleaned up by the morning.

46. Zodiac: Haven’t been much into this, but I only recall I’m Pisces ‘cause of my birthday. (Those Pisces descriptions are like the dang opposite of my MBTI type.....) 47. Pronouns: Just female stuff. I’ve been mistaken for a guy a lot online somehow, though.... I find it oddly amusing, pffffft. 48. Favorite TV Show: “Gravity Falls” and “[The] Slayers” are my top favorites, and I enjoy several other animated shows alongside these two! 50. And I actually don’t like using left-handed computer mice... Regardless, I draw and write best with my left hand.

51. Surgery: Wisdom teeth surgery - which I had when I was 18 I think? That was a very weird experience for me. I’m glad I only talked to my close friends during the first part of my recovery... I would’ve died of regret if I tried posting anything online while I was drugged with pain killers and who knows what else. Eugh. 52. Hair dyed in different color: Nah, I like my natural hair color as is 53. Sport: Basketball! I’ve always liked this sport... I haven’t played in a long time though. 55. Vacation: My vacations in terms of travel and being fun for me, tend to be for conventions... Like Dragoncon and Momocon. Whenever they can be affordable, at least. 56. Pair of trainers: Idk what this refers to, sooo I looked it up. Synonymous with sneakers and tennis shoes, it seems? In that case, I have a few pairs of these ‘cause I LOVE sneakers/athletic shoes!
