I wholeheartedly believe that Baxter hates Bobby Dawn. Has ever since the moment they met. A real "trust the animals" situation. Sandra Lynn hadn't been Baxter's handler for long enough to fully understand why he hated Bobby so much, so she disregarded it, trying her best not to let them interact too much. When Bobby kicked her to the curb, she finally realised why Baxter hated him so much, and now relies on Baxter's input whenever she meets somebody new. (Baxter LOVES Jawbone. Absolutely dotes on him.   Some silly Fantasy High headcanons:

Kristen and Tracker have a messy teen breakup sometime in junior or senior year but they continue to hook up every few months for a while after it (not in a healthy way).

Adaine and Fabian are the exact same height, like, almost to the mm. 5′11″ exactly. This drives Fabian insane.

Again about Adaine and Fabian: They start a “killed our dad” club and are very secretive and protective about it. The other Bad Kids think it’s really emotional and personal but actually it’s just an excuse to do fancy rich kid things that the others would make fun of them for.

Sandra Lynn and Jawbone swing with Sklonda and Gorthalax .

Riz and Adaine watch niche documentaries together that none of the other Bad Kids are interested in. The one time Fabian joined it was an animal documentary and it made him cry, though he fervently denies this.

Fabian becomes famous as an adventurer/dancer/sometimes pirate later in life, and he publishes an autobiography that 100% was written by a ghostwriter.

Adaine uses her oracle powers to learn about gossip at Augefort and shares it with Fig and Riz. Kristen’s been banned from knowing the gossip because she tells literally everyone she sees immediately.

So, we know Garthy is Ayda's kids (or well, a previous Ayda, which isn't really current Ayda, our beloved, but technically is, so roll with me here)

Fig's mom, Sandra-lynn has a new boyfriend, Jawbone, and they're steady and commited enough that they all live together, thus making him Fig's stepdad

BOTH Sandra-lynn and Jawbone have had a (sort of) relationship with Garthy.

Now, in cannon there isn't much said about him after Sandralynn and them leave on pretty good terms, but in my headcanon, all three of em are def in a poly relationship. Def open, but you're not convincing me that with that door to Leviatgan Right There, they don't meet up regularly, which leads to Things Happening.

So, Fig is dating Ayda, Garthy's Mom/sort child, who has (slash is dating) dated 2 of Fig's parents. AND grandchild to her principal.

anon. i will literally kiss you on the mouth i have. so many

she isn’t used to adults not trusting her. she grew up chosen, she knew the rules and how to follow them so adults just inherently trusted her and took her word as fact. that’s not to say she wasn’t a little shit before the bad kids, she was just used to getting away with shit because no one thought to question her. so moving into mordred where she has none of that clout to back her and is being pretty consistently tailed by sandra lynn would be so fucking jarring. people calling her bullshit when she’s used to getting away with anything had to be a total fucking nightmare for her cuz like. new rules, new dynamics, she isn’t inherently trusted anymore and she has no clue how to navigate that

the applebees had to be just... so emotionally repressed. i believe that they are a no crying family, she's the only girl of three boys but the same rules had to apply and i think thats why she is so kind of like... emotionally erratic especially in sophmore year, just because you spend that long holding everything in and plastering a smile on it, you get a little weird.

kristen has no sense of self preservation. she spent her whole young life being protected by helio so like, she makes dumb moves and gets hurt a lot, not because she is dumb but because she is isn't used to her actions having harsh consequences. she jumped off the top of the building with nothing but a ribbon because she genuinely thought it would work, she thought some divine intervention would save her, and when it didn't? she got hurt. and she keeps getting hurt because she was raised to believe that she was more or less invincible and shes just not.

feels immense guilt over how good she was at being helioc and how easy it was for her to be prejudiced. unlearning 14 years of fucked up, racist rhetoric has to be just so hard and i think its probably hard feeling stupid for not knowing things that everyone else does. and she has these thoughts of like, missing how good she was at being helioc, how easy it all was, so she hates herself for missing that part of herself but its just so hard to be reformed.

i see a lot of comparison between her and adaine in like. the shitty parents club but i honestly think she’s almost more comparable to fabian in having parents who love her so dearly but like. only the idea of who she represents not the actual person who she is. this is also, kinda rough but i do believe the applebees believed in corporal punishment but i think that fabian and kristen are both pretty staunch in believing that it wasnt that bad, which the bad kids probably hate.

Okay, so... Headcanons for the bad kids, mostly because I am still slowly getting through neverafter but aI have had to take a HARD break

Fig:

-She tries to make her concerts available to Ayda, going so far as to video call her so she can see it and control the volume for herself

-She still has the feather from Ayda, and has found a way to make it part of her outfit (somehow? idk she's creative)

-She still hates Porter and there is literally no reason. Like I understand all the Sandra Lynn connections would be fun but it's funnier if he is Just a Guy TM

Fabian:

-He still has nightmares where he becomes Gilear. He never tells anyone

-He hates pasta now

-He makes sure the Hangman is away from him when he's sleeping, just in case

Kristen:

-She checks on her siblings every once in a while

-She talks to Cassandra about her siblings and they bond over strained family relationships

-She has a paper in a notebook that she let everyone write on and it's a cherished item

Gorgug:

-He is still really sad that he upset Zelda

-He beat Skrank up as soon as he saw him

-He carries his parents around on his shoulders sometimes for fun

Adaine:

-This is a common one but she changed her last name to O'Shaughnessey when she was adopted

-She calls Fig her sister and they go on shopping trips with Aelwyn

-She hangs out with Riz at his office to make sure he's not missing anything, and that he goes home at a reasonable time

Riz:

-He will never admit it but he loves having Adaine around to help him because the office gets quiet and she's actually really good at catching things he missed

-He asked Fig about Asexuality and she explains it, and when he comes out she gets him a small pin to wear

-Him, Fabian and Gorgug all get together and do random shit, but always with "I believe in you" said over and over because FUCK do they mean it!

Headcanons for Junior Year

Cassandra still has Kalina as a familiar. I have two ideas for this

Number one is Kalina was hurting the whole time due to being a literal plague and she was also under the influence of the Nightmare King's power so she's better now. Still standoffish and a trickster but in more of a "tired, goth older sister" way

Number two is that she's a grouchy house cat and is stuck in this tiny body that has a love/hate relationship with the Bad Kids (especially Riz). Like one day she's wrapped around his neck till she claws his nose and runs off. She can't talk either so all that pent-up anger is in a tiny body

I just want more Riz and Kalina pls! They were so good together SY

Garthy Obrien and Aguefort have a nice, long "chat" behind closed doors… It ends up with the both of them deciding how they are going to Co-parent Ayda but Aguefort does end up with a scar in his abdomen.

Ayda substitute teaches a Magical Theory class Adaine and Fig have to take when the teacher leaves for maternity. Hijinx ensue.

Fabian and Aelwyn break up or have already broken up by the time JY starts (i love how most of the fandom doesn't like these two together, lol)

Kristen and Tracker go on break while Tracker is away and Kristen is suffering in silence while Tracker is partying and having a lot of fun (same vibes as Priya and Pete)

All of Fig's Dads (Jawbone, Gilear, and Gorthalax) go get drinks every other month, one-month Sandra-Lynn and Garthy come and drink them all under the table (Sandra-Lynn was banned after that. Garthy still occasionally comes around)

When those nights happen all of the Bad Kids have a giant sleepover and completely take over the first floor of Mordred Manor (Jawbone proceeding to play hopscotch around them to not wake up his spare children)

Nobody actually addresses the Night Yorb during Junior Year and if somebody does Brennan goes in his true New York accent "what Night Yorb?????"

Fabian and Zelda go to both dance classes and kickboxing together, becoming friends around the winter of Sophmore Year

Fabian and Sam do not get along well. Mostly due to the fact, they are both dramatic rich bitches who are fighting over Zelda but also over the fact Sam is mean to Gorgug and Fabian goes "only I am allowed to be a bitch with my friends? Fuck off, Nightingale."

Antiope and Riz shared some sort of stealth elective class and accidentally became good friends? Like, they both watch their gangs of idiots tiredly and corral them up and take them to get ice cream.

On the other hand, Kristen kinda dreads her religious studies course due to Ostentasia being loud and snarky but also kinda appreciates it? Like, you know those class clowns that get on your nerves but they state the obvious when everyone is done with the teacher's shit? Yeah, that's their relationship

She does chill with Yelle tho, like they both smoke weed then go to pet stores and animal shelters and play with animals until they pass out on the floor.

Penny and Adaine are both nerds and Penny is Adaine's tutor when it comes to the history of spells, who made them and why (because Adaine is a practical caster <3)

Bad Kids Food + Cooking Headcanons

Adaine

Before moving in to Mordred, she couldn't cook for shit. Her family had unseeing servants and stuff and it was assumed she would never need to know.

Eventually Jawbone, Lydia and Sandra Lynn teach her. She begins to love it - it feels similar to ritual spellcasting for her.

After the Nightmare Forest, she starts cooking and baking with Aelwyn. They make a mean black forest cake together. It's great bonding time

Kristen

Is better with camp food than regular food - made it at church camps a lot

Also had to cook for her siblings constantly (we stan parentification :/) but for the most part it was chicken nuggets and microwaved corn kernels and whatever - easy, processed meals

However, her mother insisted she know how to cook because when she had a husband and children it would be her job. So she would often make roast meals and big servings of chicken corn soup to freeze for the week

To this day she hates cooking - it brings back bad memories and feelings.

Fig

Much like Kristen, better at camp food (ie. ranger meals that Sandra Lynn taught her)

She kinda knows how to forage and hunt but not as well as Sandra Lynn would like

She loves baking but has little patience

Her decorating skills are non-existent but she tries

Fabian

My man can't cook for shit, like at all. He can't even make a sandwich. Cathilda tried to teach him but his parents would often intervene so he never had the patience to learn.

Riz

Riz would be a good cook if he knew how. Unfortunately Sklonda didn't have the time to teach him or the money to buy ingredients for him to learn. She did what she could - he at least knows sandwichs and pasta and rice and very basic staples - but he couldn't tell you how to cook steak

After the Nightmare Forest, Sandra Lynn teaches him how to forage and hunt. He takes to it far better than Fig (he has more patience for it)

Gorgug

Other than Adaine after season two, Gorgug is the best chef of the bad kids. Ain't no way Digby & Wilma were letting him not know how to cook.

He likes baking too, but mainly does things like slow cooker stews and pulled pork sliders with homemade curly fries.

He enjoys seeing the delight on his friends' faces when he makes them food

Honorary Bad Kids

Ragh is in the same boat as Adaine - didn't learn until after Jawbone was in his life. After he worked through his issues, Ragh got really close to Lydia via learning how to cook. Now he often cooks with Gorgug, making BBQ dinners together for their families

Ayda doesn't know how to cook. Past iterations might have but this one doesn't. She has Garthy after all. But she does enjoy baking with Fig or Adaine (and sometimes even helping Gorgug or Ragh)

Tracker knows how to cook, Jawbone taught her. She learnt how to cook on a tight budget, and how to forage and hunt. She and Sandra Lynn bonded over that

Aelwyn is the same as Adaine, never knew until after the Nightmare Forest. She gets really into it, especially baking, making perfect macarons and puff pastry. It's escapism, but she doesn't always have the spoons (it takes a lot outta her)

Fig - I have the most to say about this one lmao

First impression: So since Fantasy High was the first actual play I watched, I was not famaliar with Emily Axford, and I thought Fig would be a stereotypical rebellious character. Funny and likeable, but not a character I'd become emotionally attached to.

Impression now: I know the power of Emily Axford now. That rebellion comes from a place of such deep care for the people and world around her, and it pretty much cracks my heart open. Would die for.

Favorite moment: "The you that appears in Ayda's life is not the illusion. It's really you." This scene is constantly rotating in the back of my mind, ready to devastate me at any moment.

Idea for a story: Ohh, I'm not so good with plots, but any deep exploration of her relationship with Sandra Lynn is something I want to read.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think I still believe this, but at a time I thought her being secretive about Ayda was OOC given how much of an open book she was about everything else. But hearing Emily talk about it and how clearly special it is to her, I see that relationship holding a particular space with Fig.

Favorite relationship: Controversial not to pick Ayda, but her and Sandra Lynn. "You're allowed to be a complex person."

Favorite headcanon: She invites Ayda and Adaine to hang out with her dads to try and make up for their relationships with theirs

First impression: Oh my God Emily and Lou are playing chaotic cousins, this is everything I never knew I wanted.

Impression now: The same, but with the addition of "oh and she's deeply in love with a woman, thank you Emily Axford for your service."

Favorite moment: The tea scene with Rue. "A slightly shorter chair." Gift of gab. All the trickery. Iconic cousin behaviour.

Idea for a story: Her introducting Squawk to Esme and Peep, full of hijinks.

Unpopular opinion: I don't know if this is unpopular, and it wasn't Chrip's role in the season, but I would've loved more depth pertaining to Esme and Peep. I just know how Emily can ruin me.

Favorite relationship: COUSIN.

Favorite headcanon: Playing with Peep in the woods and pretending that mundane, mortal things are magic - just a classic mom playing make believe with her kid.

Sundry Sidney

First impression: Emily is playing a droid and that is important to her, so it is also important to me.

Impression now: So much fun, some sneaky Emily Axford depth in there.

Favorite moment: Junkmother, without question.

Idea for a story: Something something her and Barry comparing how they relate to Warfare Whitneys and the Barrys, something something.

Unpopular opinion: Probably my least favourite Emily PC but Startstruck's also my least favourite season. I just want more emotional devastation with my comedy, if you can't tell.

Favorite relationship: NUTS AND BOLTS, ANDROIDS AND STEROIDS.

Favorite headcanon: It's definitely my Axmurph bias leaking through, but she's FWB with Barry Syx.

In my mind (and with very little canon backing), Sandra Lynn has some sort of Seperation Anxiety Disorder.

It wasn't as much of a problem when she was a kid, she didn't like going to class without her friends and sometimes struggled to go to school at all, but when she was kicked out of her adventuring party as an adult it really kicked in.

Being left alone without anybody to rely on led her to rely on herself, but also heavily on Baxter as the only constant. She tried to live in a cheap apartment when she first came back to Elmville, but she had nights filled with crippling stomach pain and panic attacks because she couldn't be near Baxter, and feared for his life. She quickly moved out and lived in various shelters she built in the forest. It was cold, but it was the only place she could be near her mount and know he was safe. That he wasn't going to leave her too.

It appeared to calm down when she married Gilear. Due to quitting his job, he mostly stayed at home so she knew where he was at all times. She could half-trust something bad wasn't going to happen to him. But she also feared having an attachment to just one person, leading to the unfaithfulness. She was setting up Gorthalax as somebody she could hold onto if something happened to Gilear.

She struggled to let Fig out of her sight once she was born, but also didn't want Fig to have the same struggles with seperation she does, so did her best to push through to avoid projecting those issues on.

The divorce caused it to flare up again, she was once again relying solely on Baxter as her point of attachment. She worked a lot because while she hated being apart from Fig, she was still focused on not making Fig inherit her issues. This causes her harshness in Freshman Year.

Getting with Jawbone was incredibly helpful. He led her towards getting professional help after seeing some of her symptoms, and just having somebody as stable as Jawbone was a huge help. She still couldn't fully trust her attachment to him not to snap, so she did the same thing she did with Gorthalax with Garthy, but recognised her behavior before it could go as far as it did with Gorthalax.

As of Junior Year, she has more trust in the security of her relationships, due to having more of them (the other bad parents as friends, the knowledge that Jawbone will forgive her if she's truly sorry, a better relationship with Fig, etc), but she still retains the insecure attachment to Baxter from her past. Her hands shook a little when she let him to with the Bad Kids as Zayn's escort, but she was able to calm herself down somewhat with the things she'd learned.

IMO most of the glasses-based headcanons people have about the bad kids are…uninspired. Riz and Adaine, the nerds, are too obvious, and I hold that all six of them do.

Fabian wears contacts except at night. His glasses are extremely plain rectangular frames that were nonetheless massively expensive and he would not be caught dead wearing them in public.

Fig has had glasses since she was in fourth grade but she never actually wears them; at first because her prescription wasn’t especially high so she was fine when she forgot them, and then as an act of rebellion whenever Sandra Lynn would try to get her to wear them.

Riz has had the same pair of glasses since sixth grade (he’s farsighted) and he handles them with kid gloves. They’re definitely way too weak for him at this point but if they break it’ll be a too much trouble to get them replaced so he takes as good care of them as possible and tries to only wear them when he really really has to.

Gorgug was first prescribed glasses pretty soon before school started. They’re simple, well fitted, and even though they’ve been broken a few times they’ve been repaired so well you couldn’t even tell. He’s nearsighted, which is part of why he tends to hunch over to look at things he’s focusing on.

Kristen usually wears contacts during the day, but she frequently will skip them and just go with her glasses if she can’t be bothered to put contacts in that day. If she can’t see anything during classes it’s whatever, she’ll get the notes from someone later.

Adaine has been wearing glasses since she was little. At one point in middle school she noticed other kids who had contacts and asked her parents if she could try some out. The very first night she tried to put them in she ended up scratching her cornea and having to go back to the eye doctor to get it treated and she’s been too scared to try them again ever since.

HEADCANONS:

With a fairly modest background, Lynn was the eldest son for his parents, Hari Thomas and Sandra Ash. His parents never married, so his mother was the one to raise him and his younger brother. Despite not being together, his parents made sure that him and his sibling were provided for and Lynn was always close with his father. He grew up in a tight knit family filled with cousins and family members. They weren’t particularly rich as both of Lynn’s parents were common working-class in the city. As far as childhood goes, he was very happy.

Despite that, Lynn was placed under a lot of pressure to be academically gifted and be the first in his family to graduate from college, but he thrived under such pressure and soon topped in school academically. This drive did come at a cost for him. Because he was so pushed to be the best in his academics, he didn’t grow naturally into relationships or friendships with others, preferring his close relationship with his family then anything.

Soon after graduating from the university with a degree in Journalism, he landed a job at The Gazette, Vievecor City’s main multimedia news outlet. He became a part of the investigative journalism team due to his attention to detail and nearly obsessive talent for searching out the truth. In this naturally competitive job, Lynn had to curry favor, make friends (and enemies), break some laws (though he would never admit to them) in order for him to stand out. And it worked. After years of fighting, Lynn managed to become a top investigative journalist. Soon he was tasked to uncovering the darkest of secrets of the city.

Unfortunately, even with so much drive, Lynn was destined to burn out. Lynn deals with anxiety induced insomnia. He typically takes medicine to help with his insomnia, however, he sometimes “forgets” said medicine if he gets too busy. It was in this time that his life took a turn. He was in the middle of researching the ‘strange premonition’ he had about the city when he was hit with a large case of insomnia. When coming home from work, he ended up swerving off the road and crashing his car. He managed to get out with just a broken bone, a few bruises, and a scar, but he mentally he was left with more scars. He had to take a long sabbatical from work to get mentally back in a place where he felt confident.

And despite all of that, Lynn has always felt that something was missing. Despite its prosperity, Vievecor City was a cesspool of secrets and underworld dealings. He’s always knew that there’s more to this city than meets the eye. Even though most people believe he’s talking about the natural underbelly of the city, like organized crime and corrupt politicians, Lynn’s believes the city runs on more than that. Whenever he gets the chance, he does his own investigating into some common, yet strange themes the city has to offer.

ok sweet kristen is of course a lesbian and i stand by the fact that she is butch(talk to me about stone butch kristen i have thoughts). for sure polyamorous. if you ask her her gender, she will just say lesbian. fine with all pronouns but mostly uses she/her

so i know most people have fig as bi or pan(i even tend to draw her with bi pride shit) but i personally headcannon her as unlabeled. shes very against the system and i dont think she would be into labels as a whole thing just cuz it feels too limiting. she loves who she loves and its no one elses buisness. also poly. i dont have any strong headcannons about figs gender just that anyones interpretation of her is correct to me.

riz is aro/ace. its cannon so i vibe with it. i vibe with cis riz and ftm riz i just feel like he for sure is like. dude to the max. no matter what he is like. all dude all man. like spiderman.

adaine is an asexual lesbian. totally not based off of my best friend who is an asexual lesbian and incredibly adaine coded. for gender i think of her as agender with she/its pronouns mostly because of @20dimensionsoftangerine's properties of fics

fabian is bisexual but in the closet. not because of like internalized homophobia or toxic masculinity(which is dead now) but more because he doesn't realize that not everyone thinks of guys as inherently attractive and appealing. Once he figures it out he will be incredibly annoying about it but so is his right. he's cis and does drag sometimes

What if Arianwen Abernant somehow escaped The Nightmare Forest and made it all the way back to Elmville. She finds out Adaine and Aelwyn stay at Modred Manor by listening on in on a bunch of gossiping teens about a party that went down there. She hunts it down waits for nightfall to kill them.

Now my personal headcanon is that Kristen and Tracker will wander around the manor at like 3 am for no reason. Sometimes to get their thoughts in order. Sometimes to get tea. Sometims to just look at the night sky. It's never the same reason. They see Arianwen attempting to get in with a silvered knife. Kristen casts banishment on her and they split up to get everyone but Adaine and Aelwyn up.

When she reappears, she is surrounded by a rock star, a gay werewolf, a cleric who people say is a furry, a half orc barbarian who has work with Aewlyn that day, a werewolf guidance counselor who promised himself if he ever saw The Abernant or Applebess parents, he would destroy them, a half phoenix who wanted to spend the night with her girlfriend and friends, and a ranger who got home at 1 am. Sandra Lynn causally takes the knife from Arianwen who realizes she messed up.

Jawbone steps to the front. "You know. I always say to Riz that it's not good to stay up until 3 am. I extend this advice out to you. Get some rest." And then he knocks her out with a punch that makes everyone take a step back from the noise

They call Sklonda and have her taken off of their property. Letting Aewlyn and Adaine have a peaceful night of sleep.
