Shoutout to delusional women!

Shoutout to Fang Runin, who has committed several war crimes, including murder of unarmed civilians and genocide

Shoutout to Blue Sargent, who falls in love with a boy she knows will die within a year, still thinking she can fix him.

Shoutout to Mia Hall, a public prosecutor that calls Evan Smoak 'a gentleman' and falls in love with him despite the fact that he is literally an assasin for the American government with 100+ kills and canonically (partly) responsible for the start of the Balkan war.

And last but not least shoutout to Libby Rhodes for failing to realize someone will have to die in their group to strenghten the bonds even though literally everyone else had already found out and accepted this fact.

“Nice of you to join us." Antonio gripped when Libby and Jay joined them in the garage. "Sorry?" Libby offered up as she pulled down her skirt, "It takes a lot to become Libby O'Malley again. It's a lot of makeup, perfume, and hair teasing." "And having sex with your husband," Adam added as Mouse handed Jay, one of his wife's diamond pendant necklaces that he had attached a pinhole camera to and a small earpiece.

'Mind your business Ads.' She warned as her husband attached the necklace around her neck, "Not like you and Carlie never or better yet you and Kim." All eyes went to the uniformed cop who was standing nearby who flushed furiously, they had been trying so hard to keep their tryst secret, especially with Carlie being bumped up to Intelligence over Kim. "Not cool Libs." The rookie cop complained in a huff.

"Either was your smart aleck comments." She returned as Voight cleared his throat to stop any more tiffs from starting out, they all needed to be focused. "We will be following you in the van, between Adam and Kevin you won't be alone Libby."

He had talked to not only Olivia Benson who had worked with Libby and who handled her cases against Michael but her father who was the New York City Police Commissioner and had a lot to say. He had to promise Frank that he would do everything in his power to protect his daughter. And having gotten to know Libby when she came down to defend Jay against the accusations that he killed Lonny, and becoming a member of his team, he had to come to think of her as his daughter after Erin.

"It's been a long time since I have been Libby O'Malley, Sarge, I don't want it to come back to being her. Ask Jay, ask Mouse. I wasn't a nice person. I wasn't a happy person. I almost killed myself after my brother's death because of Noble, Bianca, and Michael." She said she was working herself up into a tizzy. Normally it was amusing to watch, especially to those who knew her older brothers. Like Jay and Antonio.

"Libs, you got you." Antonio interjected, "Voight is right, nothing is going to happen. Say, Ruby." Ruby had been one of her undercover names for one of her first cases when she worked with him in Chicago, "And I will come in."

Taking a deep deep breath and shaking her hands out, Libby nodded her head, "Okay, let's do this." It was a flurry of activity after she said that Kevin and Adam argued over who was driving and Jay was whispering reassuring words to his wife before kissing several kisses to her mouth.

Mouse did finally check of the camera declaring himself a handsome man in the lens causing Jay to pinch his cheek again and Libby to press a kiss to the other cheek.

Kevin looked in the rearview mirror at Libby who was twisting her wedding band around her finger, it had been her grandmother Betty's ring and she refused to take it off. She already had to take off her engagement ring but that ring she refused to take it off.

“Eyes on the road Atwater." Libby said, finally raising her eyes to look at him, "I am good. Did they get everything set up for the undercover place?"

"Kim, Lindsay, and Carlie are taking care of it," Adam answered thankful for the conversation, the silence was getting to him, this quiet Libby wasn't the one he was used to. She was more lively and mouthy.

"Jay demanded to go into the van with Mouse, Antonio, and O."

"One reason why I love that man so much." She admitted, "He won't let me go back to being that Libby. Or will he let me be in danger of getting killed."

"What happened with that?' The bigger man asked, glancing in the mirror at her again. "After my brother died, I refused to bail Michael out of jail after he was arrested for assaulting a couple of girls. And I hadn't fully processed the whole fact that he died and what I did to try and save him didn't work. His mother bailed him out and I assured Jay, Will, and Mouse that I was okay and that I was just going to watch old western and sleep. Will was supposed to get the locks changed on the door because Michael had broken in once but he got called into the ER and never did."

"Libs, you don't have to go on." Adam said he didn't want the truths confirmed, the truths that Carlie told him about Libby's whole relationship. "He didn't get very far." Libby said, "He was starting to hurt me and Jay just knew and he came rushing back into the house and pulled Michael off of me and proceeded to beat the holy fuck out of him. And yeah."

"Is that when you know you were in love with him?" It seemed like an odd question coming from Adam but he was curious. "No, I knew that when Will introduced us." She looked out of the window and cursed wildly when she saw a small built man standing next to Bianca.

"What!' Jay's voice came, causing her to jolt, she had forgotten that they were listening in as well.

"Noble is here. I am okay, I can handle this!" She said more to assure herself than to assure her husband and boss, "Kev and Adam won't let anything go sideways."

"There she is!" Noble stepped off of the curb to go grab ahold of Libby's hand to kiss but Kevin stopped him with a hand on the chest and a quiet Easy Bro. "Noble. I didn't realize that you were coming." "Oh come on Libby, you still can't be mad about everything. Michael said." "Michael was also an abusive asshole who got killed in prison. It doesn't matter what he said. And besides I have a real man now."

"Bianca. I thought it was just going to be the two of us having lunch." "I did too but I see you brought friends."

"This is Matt and Kev .' Adam had put his arm around Libby's shoulders to help her relax, he could practically taste the uneasiness in her and wanted to help ease it.

"And I take it you are her boyfriend?"

"Yes." they both answered at the same time, it was an easy cover and Noble frowned, "Well you have always liked pretty boys."

"That's true.' Libby agreed as Kevin covered up his laugh with a cough. Adam and Jay were both pretty boys and he had briefly seen the pictures of Michael and he was almost the definition of a pretty boy. Libby pressed her lips together trying not to laugh out loud. Danny had said the same thing mostly after they found out that not only was Libby with Jay but they were married. Squeezing her shoulder, Adam steered her into the restaurant behind Bianca and Noble who were bickering with each other because of the surprise gone wrong.

“I need a drink Ruz, and a strong one.” She muttered glancing over her shoulder to make sure Kevin was with them. He was steps behind the siblings, he felt her eyes, and he offered her a wink and a half smile. “Drink, I can do. Boss will get mad if it's too strong.” “Not drinking to get drunk, drinking to go numb is the only way to handle that skinny bastard.” “Those words Libby, they hurt me,” Noble commented after hearing her statement.

“They should, it's the truth.” She spat as Kevin took Adam’s place next to her, they were keeping their word that nothing was going to happen to her nor was Noble going to get near her.

The last thing that they needed was Jay to come rushing in guns blazing to kill Noble and for Libby to go off the deep end. “You have turned into a bitter old lady Libby. It’s not becoming.’ He started taking a seat across from her, his sister following him, her eyes following the sandy-haired man who was at the bar getting Libby’s drink for her. “Well Noble, you live through what I did, and had to relocate to another state, you would be acting like this too.” She returned, “And I seem to remember, you were a lot of the reason why that happened.” “Don’t fight it Noble, you know she is right. We have known her for a while and learned the hard way that Libby is usually right about everything.”

Chapter 39 The magic word is now out from "Behind those icy blue eyes"

Sorry it took a while to write. The chapter was rather difficult.

Also, for anyone who is wondering, I have not given up on the Nash and Libby short story I am writing. I have been so busy with work, that I have been too tired to write. Will try to get a part out soon.
