I cry every time I watch it. It's beautifully animated and emotional and ahhh I love it.

I love the art style. I think it's a beautiful example of Japanese animation that is decently well known yet seems to always be somewhat forgotten? It follows a deaf protagonist and if I recall correctly they actually worked with people to make sure her signing was correct - or as best as it could be in animated form. It handles depression in a way that really hit home for me and I relate to so strongly and it's about trauma and healing and growing and forgiveness. It's beautiful I love it so much. Huuge cw for suicide attempt and bullying, depression, but its a beautiful film.

Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit:

The stop motion animation is gorgeous, the characters and setting are charming and the jokes are funny.

It’s Wallace and Gromit, man. It’s creative, it’s funny, it's claymotion, it’s just a grand day out if you get what I mean.

🍂 day 16: what is your favourite book at the moment? now, find a song to match this book and explain your choice. i don't have a favourite book so i'll just do one of my favourite film adaptions instead, which is a silent voice (聲の形). if i was to pick a song, it would be everything i wanted by billie eilish. at the beginning of the film, the protagonist shoya - to keep it spoiler free, let's just say that he did some bad stuff and karma got back at him. essentially, his life pretty much falls apart after that. i picked billie's song in particular coz of the outro. everything that happened stayed with shoya and i wonder if shoya looks back on his past actions and ever questions whether or not he would do it again, knowing the consenquences.

i've cried everytime i've watched this film. this was a film that stayed with me for a long time. i first watched the film at a really strange but perfect time in my life.

実写映画化もされた「ソラニン」を始め「おやすみプンプン」「MUJINA INTO THE DEEP」など いくつものヒット作を生み出している漫画家・浅野いにおが2014年から2022年にかけて連載していた 「デッドデッドデーモンズデデデデデストラクション」、通称「デデデデ」が満を持して劇場アニメ化。 舞台は東京上空に突如出現した巨大な宇宙船『母艦』により一変してしまった東京。 慌ただしく動く政治家達と、青空を横切る迎撃ミサイルを眺めながら学生生活を送る少女達の青春を描く。 脚本は「聲の形」「劇場版 ヴァイオレット・エヴァーガーデン」の吉田玲子、監督は「ぼくらのよあけ」の黒川智之。 声の出演は幾田りら、あの、種﨑敦美、島袋美由利、大木咲絵子、和氣あず未、白石涼子、 入野自由、内山昂輝、坂泰斗、諏訪部順一、津田健次郎。 映画は二部作構成になっており、前章は3月22日公開、後章は4月19日公開。 主題歌はano feat. 幾田りら「絶絶絶絶対聖域」（前章）と、幾田りら feat. ano「青春謳歌」（後章）。 私が試写で見せていただいたのは前章のみなので本年度No.1！と断定するには気が早過ぎるのだが 久しぶりにビビビと来た”クソやばい”劇場アニメなことは間違いない。 原作未読のため後章がどうなるのか予想がつかず、 最高潮のテンションで「続く」となるためコミックスを買おうか悩み中。 日常を切り裂き東京に襲来した宇宙船から、謎の言語を操る宇宙人らしき生命体が現れて どこにでもいる女子高生達のどこにでもある学生生活を掻き乱す。 新型コロナウィルスにより一変した世界を知っている私達は 非日常になった世界ですら、数年も続けば日常生活に侵食されて 共存の道を探り当てることを身を以て体験済み。 ゴーストタウンと化した街中を自転車で爆走した数年後に、 コロナのずっと前に描かれた本作の劇場アニメと出会えたのは、もはや運命的とすら思える。 平凡な毎日を繰り返しているだけでは聴こえなかった自分自身の心の声や、 人の優しさ、友情の尊さ、あれやこえやをくしゃくしゃに丸め、 非日常を溶かし込んで回る東京で青春を謳歌する少女達の輝きに目が眩む。 退屈な毎日が、ある日突然失ってしまうかもしれない危うさの上で奇跡的に成り立っていることを、 日々の忙しさに追い立てられてつい忘れがちになってしまう。 世界を変えてしまうものが宇宙船かウィルスか、はたまた別の何かであるかの違いはあっても この世界が明日にでも今日とは違う景色になってしまう可能性は全員が持っているのだ。 先月末に行われた完成披露に出席した浅野いにおは、アニメ映画化の話が来たのは5、6年前だったと話していた。 声優のキャスティングのオーディションが始まったのは2,3年前で、そこにやってきたのが今や大ブレイク中のあの。 「あのちゃんがテストをした時、現場の雰囲気が一変した」と語る通り 本作で本職の声優すら霞むほどの強烈なインパクトを与えているあのの爆発力と、 暴走機関車のようなあのを支え、語り部的な役割とヒロインを両立させた幾田りらの巧さも相当なもの。 はっきり言って、鑑賞前は人気取りのキャスティングかと疑っていたのだが 二人には土下座して謝らなければならない。 「漫画原作者と映像化の関係性は難しい。なるべくノータッチであることが望ましい。 でもふたを開けると、コンセプトからキャスト会議まですべて関わってきました。 最終的には前章だけでも100～200カットリテイクをお願いし、僕が直接レタッチした部分もありました」と 漫画原作をアニメ化する際の困難を語る。 浅野氏が隅々にまで関わった成果は、作品を見れば一目瞭然。 生き生きとした登場人物達が圧倒的なスピード感でディストピアと化した東京を駆け抜けるジュブナイルの傑作。 私的には、前章だけで大好きだった「鉄コン筋クリート」（2006年）とも比肩しうる劇場アニメになった。 後章も劇場に観に行こうと思う。
