everything mika orders is somehow always on the house ( oh, the tavern is hosting a special deal or that patron is willing to pay for your drink! ) but it’s practically useless, she almost never orders anything

met through an incident revolving around a certain bard. oops. she’d showed up the next day apologizing profusely ( dealing with the 2nd hand embarrassment ) and then uhhhhhhh he fell in love with her because shes so hot and cool and perfect and smart and everyone loves her and and and i’m not biased at all wdym

ZHONGMIKA —

in the evening, regardless of how late he is, zhongli always arrives home to a pot of freshly brewed tea, hot and ready to share. it helps her warm up, it helps him wind down.

said tea was brewed by a method taught by zhongli, among other things: e.g calligraphy, sewing, spotting fakes, etc.

she’s gotten familiar with his extremely particular tastes and specifications, having also been taught by him on how to cook his favorite ( and now her ) favorite meals the ‘right’ way.

their contract is filled with plenty of ridiculous terms, such as being ‘legally obligated to pet every cat i’ve seen’ and ‘never going to bed without having been given at least one hug during the day.’ so on and so forth. he found it odd, obviously, but indulges her regardless.

since he wakes up far earlier than her, and zhongli can’t bear to wake her, he’s often left with nothing to do other than wait for her to awake. maybe he’ll walk around the room out of boredom, or try to fall back asleep..

MIKACHI —

having grown accustomed to sleeping next to her, childe struggles to sleep alone when out on business trips. naps with her after he returns, as a way to ‘make up for it.’ most definitely does not use a pillow wrapped in a blanket as a substitute ahaha wdym

speaking of sleeping together, they use two separate blankets. some mornings she wakes up with two, and he wakes up with none.

sometimes he refuses to fall asleep until she does, because he’s well aware it can be difficult sometimes ( it’s called having sinusitis babes )

every now and then when he leaves before getting to talk to her, he takes a few minutes to quickly leave a few notes around the house. they’re usually sweet, or brief notices and/or apologies ( i’ll be home late, meet me at X, etc. )

when writing letters to her from overseas, he always includes something. whether it be a small sticker inside the perfumed envelope ( totally not taken from his siblings ) a photograph of the sky where he’s currently stationed, a doodle of them as poorly drawn stickmen, so on and so forth )

I literally care. So much. About how much KᎥtt cares about Michael. It means the world to me.

Sure he was originally programmed to protect Michael as his sole driver, but that turned into ACTUALLY caring about him and seeing him as not only a friend but a family member too and it's so nice. They're each other’s people.

It's impossible to really get across to someone who doesn't know KnᎥght RᎥder but you can literally see it progress throughout the series. Early on he does a lot of the "I don't have emotions and I don't need friends or family and I'm better than everyone else bc I'm a computer/machine" stuff. But later on he completely backpedals on that. And not only does he care about Michael, but he gets jealous whenever Michael even jokes about leaving him behind to use another (non-computerized!) car. He's literally a "this is my bestest friend in the whole wide world and nobody else can say that bc he's mine" type of guy. And it's awesome.
