thinking so so sooooo much about how zelda going back in time and being with rauru, sonia, and minoru were parental in a way that was caring. zeldas father being so hard on her in botw about trying to unlock her powers, but in tears of the kingdom these 3 gave her encouragement even if all seemed impossible for her to get back to her time. they were gentle with her and truly treated her like family from their time. rauru and sonia filling that parent role and minoru being the aunt..

That ganondorf/reader fic was exquisite. BUT now I have to ask: do you have any plans to write a rauru/Sonia/reader fic? Maybe as like an alternate ending to the previously mentioned fic?

Ah so I have had many ideas about this series! I want to do maybe two more parts for Ganondorf possibly? Not sure how many parts but I have many ideas about it.

As for a Rauru/Sonia route I do have several ideas as to how it would happen. And I'd want it to be the couple together as a poly relationship as I have no doubt they would never cheat on each other and they have a close relationship that id like to put at play in their story. They play a role in Ganondorfs story as darling did come from the future with Zelda but I don't see Ganondorf being in their route too much as other than the villain in the original TOTK timeline.

I plan on kind of messing with the plot of how the timeline works and preventing both Sonia and Raurus deaths to make a perfect way to split the routes and show how different things could happen in each route and changing the events can still work for the timeline.

I'd probably start Rauru and Sonias story from the beginning before Ganondorf became a character introduced to the story and when Zelda first traveled back with darling.

With Ganondorf I'm altering the TOTK timeline quite a bit to make room for the story in between the Canon events in TOTK. But for Rauru/Sonia I would play along with the TOTK timeline a lot more as with their route I have a better idea of how to play it out.

I'm not sure if I should start on their story or finish Ganondorfs first though. I always have a lot of ideas jumbled in my brain that I can't wait to get out so organization is a mess lmao-

But if you want me to start on Rauru/Sonias story as a bit of a peek of what I have in mind I definitely wouldn't mind cause I'm having a lot of fun writing these story lines!

     There's a prickling taste upon the bed of his tongue, curled behind locked teeth and the wan smile he offers. He sweeps a phantom hand over the bruises mottling the hero's skin, shoulder to elbow to palm, then back again. As he works to mend what he can with his light's blessings ( no less than enough for the aches to ebb away, he hopes ), the tang — sharp and overbearing and burning — worsens.

     It is so familiar a feeling. One he's faced countless times before waking to this new era.

     One it appears he's condemned to continue facing, still.

     "You are a lionheart in the truest sense, dear Link," Rauru intones, as warmly as this fraught, festering emotion will allow him.

     What a terrible, terrible thing it is, this shame. This fury.

     "But I fear it is too easy to worry for you."

     This helplessness.

. Welcome to my blog. It's a pretty scattered bag of different things. I write fanfiction as well as original content, I dabble in games, I have a cat and three dogs, I cook, and I do art. But a lot of this has everything to do with writing and art.

. I am a relatively busy person, so I may not get to writing requests instantly (also factoring in my level of motivation). However, feel free to send them! It brings me a lot of joy to interact with an audience. Asks, thirsts, and other things can go in my inbox as well. I promise, I don't bite!

I would love and ADORE to have Link interact with the Sages-- Darunia and Saria being the two I’m mostly jonesing over, because Darunia is Link’s blood brother, and Saria is his best friend/mother figure ?? Rock Brother and Forest Mom, hell yeah ♡

In general though, all the Sages would be amazing to interact with-- Ruto, Nabooru, Impa, Rauru (of course we all know he loves and adores Zelda, too, if interactions with Pi’s Zel says anything)-- all of them are valid and incredibly important figures in Link’s life, regardless of whether it’s in-canon or post-canon. Those guys are his heroes.

     For all that things have drastically changed over the aeons, it seems the Demon King's moons are yet still the same. Tainted with his will, bloated with a promise of bloodshed — lamentably, distressingly, infuriatingly the same.

     Their glare may be a cut fainter in the aftermath of a drained power, but so too is Rauru's own radiance. Below the soured moonlight, even someone like he — departed, yet here — feels the creep of that nauseating darkness far too acutely.

     What must it be like, then, for someone like Link?

     His arm, the one that no longer belongs just to him, stings. He feels an awakened corruption clash against the light that seeks to purge it: some searing pulse of sacrilege and sanctity.

     "I apologise." He leans in closer, focus sharpening, guiding his light through Gloom-stricken veins to soothe rather than attempt to quash. He can only hope that his endeavours are fruitful, or that, at least, these throbs echoing across their point of connection are harsher as they leave their source. "If only I could do more for you..."

     Amidst the brightly lit lanterns and merrymaking of a celebration that isn't quite his to partake — and yet, not quite not his — he finds himself slipping away from it all for just a few breaths. While it has been an enjoyable night, witnessing Sonia and her— their peoples engaged so wondrously in their customs, it has not stopped the twinge in his heart nor the falter in his steps. In the wake of lively song and dance, memories of a long bygone past had risen too easily to touch the surface of his waters: ones he might have ached to revisit were he alone, but.

     "Lady Janan," he greets, head dipping, bearing held carefully still. Not balking — any distraction her company may provide would be welcome, certainly. Of the whole their halves make, however, Sonia has simply always been the better with connecting. With offering words.

     With Janan.

     Not for a lack of want or trying on Rauru's part! Or so he likes to believe. In their queen's absence, he grapples their encounter with— an overstated courtesy. "A pleasant surprise that our paths may cross here." He pauses. Clears some of the stiffness from his throat. "Are you well on this fine evening?"

     ( He wonders how many times this makes it now, that something like awkwardness should define their moments together. )

     With how keenly she reminds him of Mineru at times, is it any wonder that he would find her where he oft sees his dear sister? Gluttons, the both of them — for knowledge, innovation, answers to pressing questions and those yet unasked. What voracious drive...and how it stirs his heart so, to behold such familiarity in this glimpse into the distant future that Zelda, in her entirety, offers them.

     He approaches her steadily, footfalls careful, yet conspicuous. A routine learnt from far too many times of yielding the consequences of surprising a scholar in deep thought.

     "I see my sister has granted you access to her library," he says in lieu of any real greetings, but then — Rauru's had always been reserved for those less acquainted. He chuckles, an effervescent thing. "A great honour, I assure you, especially with so little supervision!"

     He comes to something of a crouch beside her. "What do you make of these old texts?"

Perhaps due to his own predicament at the time, a Zonai so completely stripped of all but his last kin and one last purpose, but as he lays there now — beneath streams of light peeking through whispering leaves, between the sounds of playful splashing from the nearby brook and piercing laughter from nearby children, with a heady warmth in his heart and something achingly sweet interlacing his fingers—

     He turns to the remarkable woman lain beside him. Where her features struck him as strange at first, as Rauru's own must have for her, time has since revealed an undeniable beauty — a charm he finds again in this shared gaze; this shared space; this shared moment.

     ( —He feels utterly foolish. )

     "You were right," he says, soft. You always are, he doesn't say, but the fondness remains in the creases along his eyes. He has seen truly extraordinary things ever since alighting here, but these lulls in the frenzy of everything, with Sonia, are on an entire level of their own. "I do rather enjoy this."
