Starfall City is a sandbox-ish roleplay server that is based around the idea of yanderes, rivals, and their valentines. The server is for those who want to find people who enjoy discussing dark tropes and for making friends with similar interests; most importantly, this server is for people to roleplay with their OCS in collaborative and creative scenarios!

This blog is a place to promote our server, post funny lore things (that are tumblr exclusive), and answer your questions about anything! You can ask about lore characters (every lore character is created by staff only), questions about the world, theorize why yandere's are attached to valentines.. ect. if you don't want to ask about lore, you can ask questions about events/share ideas, how members are, what we do on the server for fun, theories, anything! We hope you'll check us out :)

･｡ﾟ ☆☽ Starfall lore !

The server is about Starfall City, one of the world's most famous “accepting” cities. The general world lore is that there are non-humans, magic-users, and everyday humans; Non-humans and magic users are treated as less than in most places around the world, but there are a few cities and safe places in select countries where they can go to escape judgment and live freely; Starfall happens to be one of those cities!

Starfall is beautiful, there's no denying it, but that's only on the surface. It may come off as being an accepting city, open and safe to non-humans and magic users alike, aided by having the population evenly split between all three groups, but what the outside media isn't aware of – and somehow is never exposed to –, is how Starfall is no better than every other place in the world. Discrimination is still allowed within the city, despite how it's meant to be free from such; and yet, how come nobody outside seems to know what's going on inside? Better yet, how come nobody inside seems to be doing anything about this?

In more recent years, cases of "Yanderes" – obsessive, and potentially dangerous, individuals who are in search of someone to place their attention on, "Valentines" – have begun to appear. Yanderes have been around for longer than time can tell, appearing nearly everywhere around the world; for the most part, they remain hidden, as its quite hard to tell who is one and who isn't until its too late, but they've become such an issue that many people in power – politicians and the like; normal people aren't usually in the know – are aware of their existence. Thankfully, most places are doing their best to be on top of finding out who shows signs (even if they don't realize what they are) and are doing their best to prevent more cases from arising.

Something strange, though, is that Starfall seems to be a hot-spot for these cases – once more, this is unknown to most people. See, in the US – and this varies depending on country –, city governments are in charge of keeping an eye out for potential issues, Yanderes being on their list; but Starfall's is turning a blind eye to this for some reason, and no matter what people do, none of the shit that happens in the city is able to be exposed to outsiders.

Nobody knows why this is happening or how it's seemingly allowed, but something that's for certain is that.. this city isn't what it seems.

Starfall City is a 15+ server, so if you aren't 15 or older, please don't join!! We aren't an NSFW RP server, so no NSFW RPS will be allowed. With that in mind, we are also not an NSFW server in general. So no jokes, comments, ect. will be allowed! We also - and we hope you don't mix this up somehow - aren't an IRL yandere server. This is all fictional and meant to be a fun place to talk about dark tropes, and roleplay said tropes, IN FICTION! Please don't do any of this kind of stuff irl!!! This is common knowledge, but some people clearly don't understand that!! So please don't join this looking for a "real yandere".. thank you.

Another important thing to note is that we are an OC-only server. so no characters from existing media are allowed (IE. you cannot submit Hannibal Lecter as a character). Its important to point out as well, but when subbing your character, please follow our rules (and please, at the very least, have your ocs' personality be 5 sentences minimum...)! Read lore and FAQ (in the server) so that way it saves everyone the trouble of having to fix things! If you are confused about how to fill the sheet out, you can always ask (and check out our guides in the pinned msgs of #oc help!) Y/n:*frowns at the sight of all the dust laying around* Oh my God... When was the last time someone cleaned this place?

Laito: Who knows~? We don’t usually care all that much. We only play here every now and then anyway.

Y/n: Oh... *sighs* I can’t I can’t believe Reiji-san forced us into cleaning this place...

Laito: Nfu he was pretty angry, wasn’t he~?

Y/n: That’s because, thanks to you, we broke most of his prized collection!

Laito: Now, don’t put the blame on me. We both know you were enjoying it too~ *places arm around their waist*

Y/n: ! *moves away* Can you please stop that!? Anyway, let’s get this over with.

Laito: Fufu, sure~

--Y/n starts cleaning as Laito follows behind, watching their every move instead of cleaning as well.

01. GUIDELINES

This is just so… it’s written down somewhere and you have an idea about what’s cool and not around this blog. It’s a bit long but you’ll see I’m pretty chill with everything -most of the rules are just basic common sense.

BASICS

• I’m slow. Super slow. I work full time and have a busy life outside Tumblr. Keep this in mind if you have trouble writing with someone who might take weeks to answer a thread.

• No godmoding. Do not control my character’s actions, unless we’ve talked about it and I’ve said it is okay to do so in certain threads.

• Hate doesn’t happen here. I don’t allow it.

• Let’s keep the drama in character. I won’t tolerate it ooc.

• If you’re underage, I will not rp NSFW/smut stuff with you. I’m quite past of age, so NSFW can happen anytime and will be properly tagged. It may go under a read more.

• I’m selective. Just for my own sanity. It means I very much like to have a controlled number of threads and will not start anything new until there’re slots available, so to say. I don’t have that much time to be around here, and it can be overwhelming to come back after a while and find +50 drafts waiting for me.

• I do reserve the right to refuse to rp, specially if I feel our muses are not connecting at all.

• OCs, AUs and crossovers are more than welcome, though I will need some details to get things going (bios, info, etc). Anyway keep in mind I feel most comfortable within Middle-Earth and that I will be reluctant to write something set in a fandom I don’t know much about -or if I don’t really see Ereinion going there. Fandoms I won’t be doing crossovers with include Harry Potter, ASoIaF and videogame based ones.

• If I follow you it means that a) I want to rp with you at some point or b) I adore how you write your muse and want to read you in my dash c) I like your character even if I don’t see how a thread between our muses could happen, but want to read you anyway.

• I won’t follow you if you’re not an rp blog, but you’re welcome into my ask and the im thing anyway (I’ll follow if your rp blog is a sideblog, though).

• If it’s not tagged as “do not reblog”, feel free to do so, whatever it is. In fact the only things I want you to /not/ reblog are threads, though I’m okay with you hitting the heart. The rest is fine, whether it is a headcanon, a joke, a drabble or something I wrote ooc.

• As I don’t really have that much time to be around, I tend to tag my memes and starters with the people they’re intended to. Please refrain from sending anything if the tags don’t mention you. Otherwise send in whatever you want :)

•If you want to plot, or talk or whatever, IM and messages are open to everyone out there. I do not bite, though I’m shy as hell. Mutuals can ask for my Discord.

ABOUT EREINION & FANDOM STUFF • Though I know this whole mess of a story about Gil-galad’s parentage, I will be roleplaying with The Silmarillion version of him being Fingon’s child, because it’s the version I like the most. Yes, I know Christopher believes that might have not been his father’s last word on the matter but I couldn’t care less. The Fingolfinian lineage is the one that makes the most sense to me.

•I don’t agree with LACE. Ereinion sort of… does? It has more to do with his image as the head of the country than personal belief, for him.

•I also don’t agree with most fanon stuff, specially regarding the Fëanorian side of things; you are welcome to have your own opinions and views, of course, and I welcome healthy discussions and debates about the lore, but do not try to shove fanon down my throat disguised as a canon take because I won’t like it.

•My portrayal leans heavily on my own headcanons about Ereinion’s life and what little bits the text lets you see about him. They’re part of my Ereinion and I’ve been developing them for years. Anyway if we’re writing and any of them collides with your own headcanons on whatever the matter, I’ll be more than happy to discuss them with you and get to a solution that works and makes sense for the both of us.

•While I do not expect anyone to be The Official Tolkien Walking Encyclopaedia, I do expect coherence.

•Also I’m not a big fan of biased and twisted interpretations for the sake of shaming characters you don’t like/hate. If you want to bash someone you personally don’t like, make it ooc and don’t involve me. Likewise, I’m not a big fan of dog-piling either.

•Yes, I’ve watched the show and yes I have loved it. I will take bits from it, because the aesthetics and stuff are cool, but I will be keeping mostly to the books and my headcanons when writing Ereinion, as I did before.

SHIPPING AND PLOTTING •I won’t romantically ship Ereinion with Círdan or Elrond. In my head I picture Círdan mostly as a father figure for Ereinion, being sent to the Falas so young; as for Elrond, I believe his relationship with him is either brotherish or some sort of parental figure/ward. I don’t know if you agree with me or not, but I don’t feel comfortable writing something that feels like incest.

•In fact the only romantic ship I’m willing to write is the one currently going on with @tallshipsandtallkings and her OC Elenna, daughter of Elendil. It is something we’ve been building up for some years now.

•Brotps and ships that have nothing to do with romance/sex are cool, though.

•Romantic or not, I will need chemistry between our muses.

•I’m not exclusive and I don’t do mains. I welcome duplicates -even from my own muses! Each one of us brings something new to their portrayal, and that’s very enriching. I’ll be more than happy to discuss our characters.

•I actually do prefer to plot things out before starting a thread. Threads derived from memes are the exception to this rule, as they tend to be more spontaneous stuff. If we’re friends ooc and have talked a lot or if I’ve given you free rein to do so, you can send starters directly into my inbox without it having to be a meme, or start a thread without my explicit consent; if we don’t know each other yet, please don’t.

FORMATTING AND THREADS • I think each thread has its own pace. Long replies are good for a certain plot, while short ones are good for a certain other. But one-liners? Not a fan. I tend to make long posts, but I won’t ask you to match my length if you don’t feel like writing that long, or that short. Write as much as you’re comfortable with.

• I’m open to all kind of threads, except for abusive relationships.

• I won’t format, but I don’t mind if you do. Also I don’t really care if you try to match my format in your replies or not. I’m no one to tell you how to run your blog. Same applies to icons.

•Please tell me if you need me to tag something for you. The most recurrent triggers are usually tagged by default but let me know if you need something more specific.

•I won’t be doing modern AUs set in the USA because look: that might be your default setting, but it is not mine. I will rarely do these, though, since I’m more comfortable in Middle Earth.

•If you see I’m not cutting my posts it means I’m from mobile (which is from where I post mostly these days). Feel free to trim our threads down for me if it is an issue for you.

•I don’t care if you continue a thread below an ask or if you open a new post for it; just tag me and I’ll be there. I personally do prefer continuing asks in a new post.

•While I don’t mind if you reblog a meme from me without sending something in (like… I would hate to make you send something in if you don’t see that meme happening between our muses), I would ask those who follow reblog karma to have the courtesy of reblogging from the source. I’m seeing some people preaching it and then reblogging from me or others so just. Be consistent. Do it or don’t but don’t say something and do the opposite.

•Please, don’t feel compelled to go into the IMs to tell me “hey, I dropped this thread!” I know that conversation can feel awkward and uncomfortable for some people, so just skip it if you need to. Sometimes you’re just not feeling a thread anymore, right? Nothing wrong with that.

•I don’t care if you reply to our thread in two hours, three weeks or some months. I’ll be more than happy to read whatever you’ve written and will try to write a reply as soon as I can (Hint: the term soon is not in my vocabulary).

*inhales* I don't see the feedback meme posted anymore but you're getting unprompted feedback anyway. :) Okay. Dojima Daigo used to be this character I was aware of because he was there in the games as I played through Y0 to K2 and... That was it. I had no particular feelings, no emotions, no thoughts about Daigo. And then I met you.

And now I am fighting with myself so I do not to open his wiki page or to delve into all things Daigo because of spoilers. But honestly, I have so many feelings now? I played through Y3 to wherever I am to Y5 currently and I was outraged at how they lost him in Y3; I was moved by the pain he endured because of Mine; I was frustrated his plans didn't work as well as he wished for re. Arai; I was devastated by the way he was seemingly abandoned by Kiryu in early Y5.

Everything that happens to him now - I have so many emotions and reactions and I love every second he's on the screen and it's all thanks to you. Your writing, headcanons, ideas and feelings about who Dojima Daigo is, what makes him tick, his fears, his passions, his relationships with the other canon characters (Saejima, Kashiwagi, Majima, Yayoi, Kiryu!) are all so detailed and so plausible. I often see myself watching him in canon more like a confirmation of what I already suspected/thought of him because of your writing than the reverse.

It's clear that you love him - and have dedicated a lot of time to all these lovely small details that are peppered all over your interactions with everyone and it's such a joy to read him. His fancy guns, the layout of the Tojo office, his favorite colors, the sports he likes/follows, the way he deals with his emotions (or ignores them! :D Denial is more than just a river in Egypt!) - there's not a thing I've seen about your Daigo that felt out of place to me and as far as I am concerned, you own him. It's your son. SEGA and RGG should be paying you royalties, really.

You were one of the first blogs to take a chance on my Daigo when I come back to Tumblr in December ― even when this space practically still had an ‘ under construction ’ sign plastered on it. I still remember the conversation where I had to ask you how to trim my rp posts, since it had changed so drastically since 2017, and I get a good chuckle out of it from time to time.

I adore all of our OOC conversations. Yours is a lovely and kind soul, Mari. I am honored to call you my friend and to have had the opportunity to get to know you better. ❤

If my Daigo is truly worth all you say, then it is only because of you. Thank you for supporting me from quite literally the very beginning and listening patiently while I poured my soul out about this character. Thank you for throwing ideas at the wall with me, no matter how far - fetched or disconnected they seemed at the time, as we built something AMAZING.

We have a two - decades love story between our muses that covers the entire mainline ‘ Yakuza ’ timeline and features at least 10 OCs and their respective stories. The kind of connection that it takes from mun to mun and muse to muse to craft something that intricate is so rare and unbelievably precious. It is incredible to me that we fostered a bond like that practically instantly. It has been an absolute joy to talk with and write with you over the last few months, Mari.
