the outsiders’ (and twttin) sexuality n gender n sometimes ethnicity n stuff hcs

before you read it i feel like i need to say that if anybody says something like “nooo they can’t all be gay and trans” ill say that it’s actually common for lgbt+ people to stick together even before they know that they’re all queer (and even before they come out to themselves!) SO YES. THEY CAN ALL BE GAY AND TRANS

and in case if someone still has some problems with it I DONT GAF (same shit if you dislike that they don’t only use he/him or she/her, just don’t read then please, i don’t wanna argue)

darry: transmasc and bi, he/him (i also love the transfem headcanon! she/her in that case), before his parents death his name used to be shaynne but then it became his middle name

ponyboy: agender in the way “idc about my gender”, gay or bi i can’t decide, doesn’t care about the pronouns as well, but everyone just uses he/him anyway and he’s fine with it

soda: cis but doesn’t gaf about the pronouns, bisexual with steve randle preference

johnny: cis and gay, he/they, mixed hispanic and south asian (but mostly south asian), as a kid didn’t know much about desi culture bc his parents never taught him anything about it, but at a more conscious age got really interested and learned quite a lot of things about it by himself

dally: sometimes i feel like he’s transmasc and sometimes like he’s cis; gay and struggles with accepting it, he/him ONLY, russian

steve: cis and bi, he/him and quarter black and partly native american

two-bit: usually hc him as cis but sometimes i feel like he’s transmasc (i have this hc for years because the person who translated the outsiders into russian wrote his name the same way the name “kate” can be written and ofc i understood that his name can’t be kate but i still came up with this hc), straight (accidentally kissing with dallas while both being drunk bc of confusing him with some blonde girl doesn’t count), he/any, mixed irish and native american and someone else but he doesn’t really care about it

cherry: cishet but a huge ally! she/they but everyone only uses she and it upsets her sometimes

marcia: cis, straight and she/her nothing special, dads a french immigrant

bob: cis and gay, he/him ONLY

randy: cis and gay too, he/they

tim and curly: both transmasc, gay, and haitian (bc of pumpkinsy0 headcanon), but tims he/him and curlys he/any

angela: cis and bi but thinks she’s straight, she/her and haitian

bryon: cis, bi with a preference towards girls (thinks hes straight), he/him. part of his family comes from britain but they moved long before he was born so it doesn’t affect anything

mark: aroace and cis (im not sure about it tho; ive seen some hcs where he’s trans and i like them too), he/any

cathy: transfem and don’t say anything about it please, straight, she/they, native american

♠Deuce: Transmasc. The vibes. Won't elaborate. ☘️Trey: Transman. I never analyse trey but he just happens to look like half the transmen I know ok. 🐙Azul: Transmasc. Hating his body and also the aesthetic he has for his clothes. 🐬🦈Jade & Floyd: They Identify as a threat. They wear uniforms now but i think if you let them pick their clothes themselves they'd look insane. I just dont think gender would be as focused on in merm culture. 🐍Jamil: Transmasc. Again the vibes. Wearing hoodies all the time, trying to not be noticed etc etc. 👑Vil: Enby ICON. If you EVER insinuate this person cares abt the gender binary I'll teleport in your house to delete your kneecaps. 💀Idia: Transfem. A friend introduced me to this hc and it changed my brain chemistry. I think it works for many reasons, including but not limited to: avoiding going outside and being seen in an all boys school, only talking through a tablet, not wearing the school uniform but wearing ur hoodie etc. I also think that anything Idia does thats very cringe as a guy, is actually very girlboss and pathetic girlcore of her as a girl. For diasomnia I rlly dont think any of them knows what gender is. I dont think anyone in briar valley cares. 🐉Malleus: "A "gender" you say, child of man? Interesting. sidon (he/him) is trans and i actually have evidence for this one but honestly hes also trans just based on vibes. i personally hc him as aroace bc hes just like me fr but a lot of people hc him as gay and that's valid too

not lgbt but he is autistic actually. again hes just like me fr

mipha (she/her) is transfem and though i dont have evidence for this one (in fact my evidence for sidon is. directly contradictory) im still right she told me herself /j

teba (he/they) is bi and polyam him and saki are also dating harth. i think hes cis adjacent but they/them wouldnt kill a guy

revali (he/him) is a trans gay man that's just canon /j. nothing else to say about him

saving the Gorons for last bc they have a different relationship w gender

urbosa (she/her) is a lesbian her and zeldas mom were in love im right she told me herself

riju (they/she) is a child actually. complicated relationship w gender bc of gerudo town

OK NOW FOR THE GORONS important thing to note they just dont have gender at least not in the way the rest of hyrule does so by earthly standards they're all nonbinary

daruk (any but prefers she/her) as w most gorons just does not care,, but likes she/her <3 shes gay i think but yknow im not entirely sure HOW

yunobo (any but prefers they/them) is ALSO a child and again just doesnt care but likes they/them

so i have a list of h*r sexuality/gender/pronouns/neurodivergent headcanons in my notes app from when i first got into it; im gonna go through and update them now

autistic...yes. this one is fine. i like this one. transmasc homestar. yes.

this one i just.. i imagine strong bad NOT liking they/them pronouns for himself but still being nonbinary but also identifying as cis because xe has problems with labels that aren't like.. "normal" because xyr so used to being a dudebro ... idk i think im projecting one of my close friend's personality traits onto him lmao ((im so sorry skib i cant help it))

THIS ONE!! NO?? i DO care about him, he's NOT creepy (yes he is but...shut up). he/him. trans man but also genderqueer. bisexual.

i was projecting onto the poopsmith hardcore (i dont identify as male and im fully verbal but other than that...) i stand by this, i love the poopsmith with my whole heart, he's one of my favorites, and NO im not just saying that because he's technically voiced by john linnell (maybe a little bit)

bubs ace?? that seems random. i still agree with this but i think bubs is gay.

i have a couple more but i dont care about those as much so im not including them. i have more in-depth headcanons about certain relationships but i have homework that i haven't started and i've been out of school for two hours so im gonna get to that. 👍
