i do love polearms! they’re so graceful, and in game i’m sure most of the polearm users have higher atk speed? i prioritise speed, dishing out dmg post-haste one second and being able to flit to the next place the other is very appealing. in light of what i’ve said, i’m never in one place. routine is prone to boring me, little binds me in one place for long. i prefer to be quick on my feet, freedom is something i must have at all times. if not and if pressured even in the slightest , i’ll forge my own through force ( and it’s very much an unfortunate fault irl Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑) commitment issues be damned )

i like patience and tolerance (to a fault) . playing along with my sense of humour gains my instant favour— gently verbal comfort regarding my temper, moods, lows promptly earns you my own loyalty and patience. once you have, it’s pretty much impossible to tire me out of you. it’s not something i readily give nor wholeheartedly. i make sure it’s the right one to attach to, first and foremost. it’s a lot harder for me to leave them, though i wouldn’t consider them a burden. true emotional bonds devoid of any low-key resentment are something i’d go through anything for.

compassion and sympathy are quick to draw me in. just,,, literal genuine concern for others are the only criteria on my interaction list.

emotional intuition. (ㆀ˘･з･˘) as proficient as i am in communicating with others regarding their feelings, i cannot for the life of me voice my feelings alone. dropping subtle hints in irrational hope of detection are the best i can do, really. i’m never outright about it because of multiple reasons, someone who can pick those hints can expect me to get attached really quick.

i dislike immaturity and cruelty. refusing to see reason and exhibiting demonstrations of inhumanity quickly lose my respect, my moral code is something i regard highly; breaching it is not something i tolerate. one who simply won’t stop to sympathise or what not is quick to be left behind.

i dislike possessiveness. i’m a free spirit, i choose my own binds. and even then, i detest giving up any sort of control. this, especially in the romantic field, is sure to harbour my hatred.

i dislike someone who is constantly in sour moods. i do understand that sadness , anger and what not are very much natural and healthy emotion, but too much of it/constantly is sure to weigh down on me, especially as i always make an effort to take on and solve others problems ( another fault. especially since i’m always doing it, even during my lows. ) , so you can imagine the mental toll.

ehh , i’m a pretty closed off individual during first encounters. i don’t go out of my way to talk to new faces, but i’ll make an effort to converse with acquaintances.

shame with friends though is haha what ha what funny words. i know nothing but i have an opinion on everything , so i can engage in conversations about anything relatively well. i highly prioritise quality time!!

i prefer to imbue most interactions with friends with humour, being able to entertain and amuse them swells my ego as big as diluc’s forehead <3 okay yeah i do kinda have a problem about being desperate for loved ones to like me back but i swear it’s not the only reason i have a fat ass and better opinions than everyone else 🙄 i suddenly have skin cancer why is calling yourself funny so hngnfnGwgrvv,2?;!2!&;&2

i’m pretty quick to be drained of my social energy, but i tend to have a habit of trying to maintain a humorous front for friends, which quickly builds up negative feelings. giving me a lot of space and the opportunity to reach out first is the best way for me to return my best self.

i have really low self esteem, it affects me daily. someone who provides verbal support and affirmation makes me !/!;!/!!4!29)86/)2?3,,5!hwbhgejf?2?(&2@. genuine compliments are the quickest way to ensure my brain runs like a drowned Dell laptop. other acts of assurance such as acts of service as appreciated, truly, but verbal affirmation goes far with me.

constantly providing emotional support to,, anyone really leaves me in a nihilistic state sometimes. unhealthy spirals and abandoned care is common when i’m drained.

i,, i’m more artistically inclined. drawing, painting, and writing are ones i favour the most. i don’t really have any other hobbies than the three, so in artblock i just. yeah. <3

i don’t have any concrete interests, they’re fleeting. if i do gain one, i pour in all the effort to understand and discover more knowledge regarding aforementioned fixation, only to drop it in two days. but if someone i love has any interests, i’m more than happy to converse on it.

my love languages are ( in order );

verbal affirmation, quality time and physical touch. this applies to both giving and receiving.

im usually composed in arguments, im not prone to yelling or losing patience. if i do, i quickly regain reason and i’m sure to apologise. overall, i just make sure it’s a calm discussion. though i do have to blow off steam later from all the pressure and tension hnnngn i need my time to sulk. while i do, i reflect on the rights and wrongs and who is due with an apology for what. im not afraid of thoroughly apologising, and i expect the other to atleast offer an “im sorry for (whatever reason)”.

i like impromptu dates to casual places!! the bookshop, the market, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. they’re so much more exciting and intimate than reservations in a fancy restaurant, personally.

i’m bad at being low-key about gifts since i’m really monkey brain and can’t remember shit unless i write it down. i’d just outright ask what they want, and if they respond with a “surprise me” it’s frustrate me because i would’ve iF i’d known to with wHAT, that’s why i’m asking you now >:T . i’d brush it off quickly though, and i’ll probably just get them their favourite food.

i move around on the best. a lot. a lot. i’d probably sleep in a separate bed if i were to share housing with a lover because i physically am unable to not roll around. though, i wouldn’t object to cuddles. i prefer the big spoon position in the sweethearts cradle position, and nearly any other. being the small spoon triggers my claustrophobia.

i’m pretty spontaneous, i’m up for whatever bullshit one has, if not my own. i may be the underpaid therapist in the friend group but that doesn’t stop me from being an enabler for dumb stuff.

Hold on, let me just shake out all the interpretative literary devices I had from my previous articles... There, much better! Welcome back to your favorite bunny—Nikki’s Tumblr blog! It feels a bit different here compared to when I am on Amino, to be honest. Yes, when I formally write without too many literary devices, my blogs smoothen like this, like it was polished with sandpaper or something. Anyway, I loosen up in order to display my love for something I’d like to offer to this world—one of those precious gems that have not been excavated in the realm of fandoms. Today, in this article, let’s enter the world of Webtoons and figure out 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙀𝘽𝙏𝙊𝙊𝙉 (𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙗𝙩𝙤𝙤𝙣𝙨) 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧!

Oh, hold on your horses! You’re asking what do I mean by Line Webtoons? My apologies for not explaining that before I bring you along this own carpet ride. To begin with this sudden class session, webtoons are webcomics that have a vertical reading format. In Korea, “manhwa” is often something you’d hear when the locals there refer to comics. These webtoons originated from South Korea, and now, they are rebranded by different companies with their hit titles. One of those brands is Naver Webtoon, and internationally, it is known as Line Webtoons. In 2019, it has now become WEBTOON, for short! Korean webtoons that are from Naver Webtoon have been officially translated into English, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, Spanish, French, and German languages in the present. At the same time, all these countries of the world wide web get to also be webtoon creators, too!

Comics are a mix of art and writing in multiple panels. Though unlike those readable from right to left, or the complete opposite of that, webtoons take advantage of vertical scrolling to reveal shocking key plot points and add more aesthetic in the blooming & stunning art they provide to the audience. They don’t upload once a month or year—in WEBTOON, there’s always something to read daily! Most WEBTOON series upload once a week, depending on its creator. As a reader, you’ll surely enjoy the vast options of webtoons to choose from reading at your own pace. There are many interesting genres, art styles, character designs, pairings, story lines, and themes to look forward to. The best part is, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚! There’s a perfect story to dwell into for all kinds of people, so if you’re curious in knowing how to begin reading, let’s go ahead and jump into the app!

The first step to get started with WEBTOON is approaching its services, first! You If you haven’t encountered WEBTOON yet, you could either take a little peak behind its digital pages online. I recommend downloading the app to enjoy the WEBTOON experience to the maximum level. If your first language is not English, perhaps a more comfortable version of the app made for your location fortunately exists! Search for WEBTOON on the playstore, and you will spot the application in a flash. It is only 21 MB or megabytes big, so it is not painful to the phone storage.

However, if you want to save space, you can always take the other route and access the WEBTOON site here. You can search for WEBTOON on your device’s browser, and the link you see immediately will lead you to the destination you desire to land onto. The site is mostly used by personal computer users and those who cannot download the app. It functions the same way as the app, but not all the features, events, and other cool activities can be done here. So, I still suggest to head over to your device’s playstore to get the application!

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓶: 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻-𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮�� 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗘𝗕𝗧𝗢𝗢𝗡 𝗮𝗽𝗽.

Any app would instruct the user to create an account to use its services. For WEBTOON though, this is very worth it, for it gives you a chance to use your account to comment on WEBTOON episodes you adore, or subscribe to the series you want to follow and support. You can create an account using your email address and the password to access it personally. Just the same as any other process in signing-up for an account, you will type your own username. You could also your very own Facebook, Twitter, Google, or LINE account to enter, and your name on the site you’ve chosen to log-on with will become your name on WEBTOON.

It is editable, so don’t worry if your username so happened to be humiliating, and you absolutely must change it! Though, if you don’t want to create an account just yet, users can view webtoons with a press of a finger without signing up for anything, if you’d press the return key on your phone or if you’re browsing on the site. Once you submit your approval that you’ve read and understood the Terms of Use & Privacy Policy of WEBTOON, you can finally set foot on the real fun of webtoons!

Okay, do not get confused! We’ll get to the rest of the areas of the app in a little bit! There’s a lot of things to do, now that we’ve finally arrived on WEBTOON platform itself. Though before being hyped at the things you are seeing right now, I’d like you to scroll down to the bottom of this “For You” section, and dig up the “Find your series” questionnaire to answer it. This is so that you can have an idea of what to expect here on WEBTOON, as well as what to read first. This is a questionnaire that will also introduce you to stories that you’d enjoy, without getting totally overwhelmed with content to stretch out into. No pressure in choosing, it will not affect how your account is set-up! Don’t worry about the results either. Answer as natural and honest as you can! This step is only applicable to those who are on the WEBTOON application. It is also optional to the reader, specifically if they are already used to reading webcomics and know what to expect.

Once you enter, it’d ask what are the genres you like. There is horror, comedy, thriller, fantasy, drama, romance, superhero, slice of life, action, and sci-fi. To clarify, slice of life does not literally mean a splitted life! It is a genre for stories that showcase the everyday life of a person, that are either relatable or engaging to read about. Choose as many genres as you want—it’s totally fine to check everything, or to choose one specific genre. Then, you can choose which art styles you prefer from the choices you see in front of your screen. Again, don’t worry about picking art styles—this is not a critical survey! Go ahead and pick many art styles you find pleasing to the eye. Then, you’ll get a list of webtoons recommended to you by the WEBTOON management! Easy, right?

You can take note of these titles given to you, or you can press on the webtoons you find interest in, and you will be taken to the webtoon’s contents in a jifty. That’s where you can read the description of the title’s plot, and you can instantly start reading if it strummed your heartstrings. You can continue discovering more stories to read from here, since the freedom is yours. Even so, there are still parts of the application to discuss that may give you an extra hand later on. If you’re still following me, you may exit the questionnaire that you entered into a while ago. Now, if you scroll up, we’re back seeing graphics moving sideways at the front page. Oh, did you something catch your eye there? These graphics that WEBTOON fans usually call as “banners” (or, for me, personally—anyway,) are another way to gain interest in choosing stories to read. Long story short, when I became a WEBTOON reader, my all-time favorite webcomic from WEBTOON was first shown to me on a banner. (A very epic one, too!) Most of the webtoons shown here are in the “Originals” tab! From “For You,” press the Originals tab next. These are the tenths of webtoons that you can also read here on WEBTOON. The image is just one section of that. If you can observe, there are the seven days of the week stated at the top of these webtoons, under the word, “Daily.” You might be asking why is this section called, “Originals.” All these webtoons found under this tab are in partnership with the WEBTOON management, and these stories release new episodes weekly!

That simply means that the creators of these webtoons are working together with WEBTOON to share their stories with us, and what’s the best thing? They get to tell their stories, while fulfilling their dream full-time job as a paid webcomic creator! Their work is now known as “WEBTOON ORIGINALs,” though before, they used to be “Featured Webtoons.” Everyday, various webtoons of different genres update with new parts to continue the story from where they left off previously, so there’s definitely something to look forward to from Mondays to Sundays. There are also more choices here than those in the questionnaire, so if you weren’t contented with what you got from answering questions, you can also come here to pick out stories. There are also webtoons under “Completed,” and we’ll get to those in a bit. If you’d ask me what I usually do on Originals, I read everything in general, so I never run out of things to read, but I’m more fond of fantasy genres. You can also choose webtoons from all days of the week, so you can keep reading something everyday before going to school or work, or perhaps, when you’re about to sleep.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓹: 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀” 𝘁𝗮𝗯.

Now, there must be another question in your head. “How are these webcomic creators chosen to be featured, or have their work included under WEBTOON ORIGINALs?” There are a couple of ways, though, we’ll focus on this canvas of ideas for this article. Usually, creators are discovered on the fan submissions area of the application. Yes, you heard me right! If you are someone who loves drawing comics as well, then you can give this opportunity a shot and meet other aspiring creators here on “Canvas!” So, let’s move from the “Originals” tab and head straight into the “Canvas” section. The webtoons here are under the word, “Spotlight.” It’s simply because these webtoons are uploaded by other webcomic creators who are not affiliated by WEBTOON, yet. So, you could say that this is the wider scope of webtoons to look through. The best thing about “Canvas” which used to be “Discover,” is the fact that we can support these writers and/or artists by reading their stories.

WEBTOON is a platform perfect for people to test the waves of being a webcomic creator. At the same time, they are given the chance to gain a community of a readers that you could also be a part of! However, since these webtoons labeled as “CANVAS WEBTOONs,” are not fully paid by WEBTOON, there is no guarantee that they’ll upload episodes every week. They are free to upload on their own running schedule, but in return, they are also free to create any story they like, as long as it follows the WEBTOON guidelines. Just a brief heads-up, you must have a computer or laptop, in order to upload your own webcomic on WEBTOON. For us readers, it’s a big chance for us to find stories we’ll fall in love with—the one that will make us invested and devoted to how the story continues. If you give the CANVAS WEBTOON more support, who knows? You might be a part of their life accomplishment journey to doing what they love for a living. Very heartwarming, I see.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓺: 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗴𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

We’ve already seen all the webtoons that the app has to offer to us. Despite that, there’s a chance that you still don’t know what stories pique the elements you like in a plot. Now that you know that there are more webtoons to search for on the WEBTOON app, you might need a guide or factor to know what’s the best story to try out. This is why the rankings and genre sections exist on the app! You can view the rankings of WEBTOON ORIGINALs and CANVAS WEBTOONs in their respective tabs. For ORIGINALs, you can click on the badge-like icon to the top right, while in CANVAS, you can see the rankings immediately. If you want to see the complete rankings list for CANVAS WEBTOONs, pressing the arrow at the right side of the rankings preview will do the trick! This step is for users who cannot decide based on what gem of a webtoon preview has caught their attention. If you'd like to find out what webtoons are popular overall, or in their corresponding genres, be sure to use this feature to weigh the odds. We are people who are influenced by whatever is loved by many, after all.

If ten genres weren't enough choices during the questionnaire, well, thankfully there is more to play with! In the genre sections of both types of webtoons on WEBTOON, which you can see alongside the rankings, you can also view webtoons listed under the supernatural, mystery, sports, historical, heartwarming, and informative genres! So, in total, there are 16 genres to step into, and that's a plenty! In that said area, you can tell which genres have the best stories based on how many people read each webtoon. You can also sort these webtoons by interests, likes, or date. Just press the "Genres" button next to the "Daily" or "Spotlight" text on either tabs. The "sorting the webtoons by interests" option would depend on what your account has read, so far. These features are really handy to introduce to you new webtoons to take your eyes on or pay attention to.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓻: 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗠𝘆” ��𝗮𝗯.

I suppose you've already chosen a webtoon to read, or maybe you're already into collecting webtoon titles to remember reading. Regardless, let's make things a little easier. You'd need your account, first! If you haven't created one yet, head to the log-in page and go back to Step No. 2. Catch up here when you're done, alright? If you’re already here, let me take you a stroll around this “My” tab. This section has list of features that are for the account’s convenience and personalization. It tells you what webtoons episodes have you recently read, downloaded, commented, and unlocked. It also states what webtoons have you subscribed to. Oh, yes, you can do all these things for your favorite stories on WEBTOON! To try that out, go to your chosen webtoon to read. As a reader, you are given the chance to rate the webtoon from 1 to 10—whether it is an ORIGINAL or CANVAS-type. That also makes heads turn away or stare closer at the stories, to see if they are worthy of their time.

Just like how subscriptions work on Youtube or any other platform, subscribing to a webtoon with your account means that you’ll get notifications whenever it uploads. It’s also easier to access subscribed webtoons through the “My” tab, instead of continously searching for your favorite stories all over the application or site as if you’re in a never-ending maze. You can track down the episodes you’ve downloaded for offline use as well, which comes in great situations where wifi is not available. Be aware that downloaded episodes will remain on your account for 30 days only, however. After 30 days, you may download the episodes again. Commenting on episodes can give you interaction with other readers’ ideas—those reactions, arguments, discussions, and, well! You could even talk about romantic pairing wars and all that’s fizzling in the premise of the story. With this section of the app, your account will be able to be fit and active, while it gives access to more parts of WEBTOON—including the possession of fast pass coins to unlock episodes for early reading! Wait a minute. Why must we, and how do we do that?

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓼: 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁.

Fast pass on WEBTOON allows you to read episodes before they are publicly released. In other words, you can gain early access to your most awaited ORIGINAL WEBTOONs’ episodes, especially when they get on that gripping cliffhanger that makes you want to go crazy with what happens next! The question is, how can we use fast pass? We can do that with coins called, “fast pass coins.” This in-app currency will permit you to avail one fast pass episode every five coins. In order to get coins, however, there is real money transactions involved. Though, do not fret, because you do not need to spend a dime or a single peso over buying fast pass episodes! WEBTOON offers users to gain five or more fast pass coins through events in the app.

These vary from having to log-in in 7 days, or read similarly themed webtoons that are featured per event. It’s free to do, though, they do not come by all the time—events do not run forever, after all. So, take on the challenge when it arrives, and get yourself some fast pass episodes to enjoy! One benefit in taking part in fast pass coins events is reading new stories that you’ve never tried peaking into before, because who knows when will it become your top webtoon choice in the future? Take it for me—one webtoon became my favorite when the first fast pass coins event entitled, “Climb the Tower challenge,” occured. I participated and had climbed 100 episodes, and now here I am chilling with floors and betrayal!

If you haven’t asked, all fast pass coins given to each webtoon will have a part of its value given to the creators of the said stories. In other words, it’s like directly supporting the artists, writers, and creators of the stories you love! This step can only be done to ORIGINAL WEBTOONs. CANVAS WEBTOONs do not have fast pass, though its creators can provide Patreon accounts where fans can donate or give thanks for their eloquent and awesome stories to tell.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 ⓽: 𝗗𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

Remember when I mentioned “completed” webtoons prior to this step? It’s interesting that there also webtoons that have ended, so there is a section for WEBTOON ORIGINALs that have ended in the “Originals” tab. Here, you can still binge-read completed webtoons for as many times you want to, and you can also gain a collection of read finished webtoons on your proud wall. The satisfaction is there when you finish a story—but, wait a minute. We are familiar with fast pass, now, what’s up with this daily pass? For some completed webtoons, they are readable with the daily pass feature. This makes a webtoon’s episodes first episode public for reading, but the twist is, to read the next episodes, you must come back everyday to continue. Episodes in the middle until the end of the story are locked, and can only be carried on if you’ve lended a daily pass entry for it to be opened for a limited time. Then, you can access the next episodes in the following days. Tedious as it may be, you could also pay for fast pass coins to read these specific completed webtoons quicker.

However, if your route is free reading, it is also a fulfilling experience to follow a story as if it was still uploading everyday, instead of reading it in one sitting. This is the patience, yet satisfaction, that can be acquired from daily pass. That is also the goal of WEBTOON for implementing such a feature to their application. You don’t have to pay for anything if you don’t want to speed up your time in reading. This step is definitely for you, if you’re already reading ongoing webtoons, but want to find more stories in the completed section. Trust me, the stories we got here with the daily pass feature were real hits back in the day—somehow, the dust on their covers will be swept away when you touch it. It’s worth it, so why not give it a shot? I heard that one completed webtoon here was recently adaptated into an anime, another has been published physically, while the other was given a live-action K-drama on Netflix! Let’s see if you can figure out which stories these are!

Hello.

I used to reply to many asks until I abandoned this blog like around 1-2 years ago (?!) cos I was getting really busy in my real life since I started working. I resumed my tumblr life and I discovered I missed out many asks. Adult life is hard and I had 0% confidence to reply to all asks as detail as before so I decided to close the ask function until now :( I am sorry.

Since I returned to tumblr I realised the tumblr world changed a bit indeed haha, and many users are not as active as before (including myself), I’m still not getting used to it. Fuck Tony Scarapiducci strides through the double doors leading into the Senate hearing room, eyes glued to his iPhone 11. Fortunately, the room is pretty much hella empty except for the senators, some military personnel, and his fellow Monarch employees, so he walks in without getting stopped.

An older Japanese man is in the middle of a baller speech about nature and humanity when he gets closer to the front. Oh, shit! This must be one of the head scientists he was briefed about before coming here.

"Excuse me, sir! We are in the middle of a discussion."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm supposed to be here," he replies, not looking up from his phone and instead lazily waving his hand at the senator. "Just gotta double check, aaaaaand send tweet."

Satisfied by the influx of likes and retweets, Tony looks up to address the half-circle of politicians. "F. Tony Scarapiducci, head media manager for Monarch." He gives a casual two-finger salute.

He most definitely doesn’t hear a military man sitting in the opposite counsel table groaning, “Oh God, not this asshole again.”

"Uh…" The man with the scruffy beard sitting closest to him gives a cautious look to the higher-ups in front of them. "Monarch doesn't have—"

Tony presses a finger to the shorter man’s lips. "Shhhh, you do now.”

The woman, sitting in the middle of the two men, presumably Dr. Graham, asks in a soft English accent, “Excuse me.” She stares up at Tony warily. “I wasn’t aware there would be other Monarch employees coming...much less a 'media manager'?”

“Right! I actually have a message for you.” Tony pulls out his phone once again and reads the note he made to himself. He reads it aloud to the three. Well, rather the two scientists as Coleman makes himself busy with trying to placate the higher-ups. “Um...Dr. Emma...Russell? Yup, Russell. And daughter kidnapped. Whale missing.” He looks up from his phone to ask Serizawa, “How do you kidnap a whale?”

They both stare at Tony incredulously for a minute, before Graham registers what Tony said first. “Wait a minute. You said Dr. Russell and her daughter got kidnapped?!”

“Yeah.” Tony is a little worried that the lead scientists of a major science organization are a bit slow in the uptake. “That’s what I just said. And the whale.”

Serizawa’s eyes widen in realization, “The ORCA.” The two scientists quickly pick up their things. Graham whispers to Coleman and they quickly walk out, ignoring the senator’s warnings and leaving the two men to fend for themselves.

Tony watches the scruffy director stutter, “Uh, you know what, Senators, while I confer with my colleagues here, I’m gonna set you up with a very brief but pretty fun documentary on Titan reproduction.” He gives an awkward wink and opens up a video file on the projector screen.

Tony’s eyebrow arches as two Titans on the screen press what he hopes are their faces together before a mosaic covers the area.

Coleman continues talking as he rushes outside of the room himself, “I think this is the one where the genitals are blurred out.” Oh! Nevermind on the faces, then. “But if not you can leave a comment with my assistant.”

The tall brunet follows as to not get left behind. “Was that seriously a video of two Titans fucking? Where can I watch the rest of it?” he asks Coleman, grinning widely.

The director gives Tony an annoyed glance as they speedwalk after the scientists. “Uh...er, yeah? It’s on the Monarch Youtube page.”

“Oh shit!” Tony fistpumps and returns to Twitter to spread the word.

Phantom Thief Marmora AU

Yes I know 93724983274923 AUs and counting

Keith is the heir to the Marmora Clan, a long line of magic users who take on the role of “thieves” to target certain artifacts and art pieces that have been cursed for hundreds of years. The goal of any clan member who inherits the mantle of “Phantom Thief Marmora” is to “steal” the art pieces in order to reverse their curses and then return them afterward, all without being caught or revealing to the public the truth about their clan and the existence of the curses. Aside from this, Keith is also tasked with searching for the “Blue Star,” a jewel that is the partner to the “Red Star,” the source of the Marmora’s magic. The Blue Star is believed to have been lost for centuries, but Keith learns from his mother that finding it and “reuniting” it with the Red Star will help the Marmora recover the power they have lost long ago and remove all the curses that seem to be connected to them.

Lance, on the other hand, is the son of a local detective who is determined to catch Marmora. Lance looks up to his dad a lot and dreams of becoming a renowned detective someday too. He’s known about Phantom Thief Marmora ever since he was a kid, and like his dad, he dreams of being the detective who will catch the famous thief. Although his parents constantly tell him not to get involved in Marmora’s escapades, Lance manages one time to figure out where the thief would strike next, ahead of the detectives, and decides to stake out on his own. He surprises Marmora and thinks he’s found his chance to prove himself, but he is not prepared for the artifact that the phantom thief is targeting (and the curse it holds) to possess him---Lance is revealed to be somehow incredibly receptive to the curses that Keith seeks to find and undo...and it may have something to do with the beautiful blue pendant his grandmother had given to him a long time ago...

Other random ideas:

Hunk is Lance’s childhood friend whom he often ropes into his “Marmora stakeouts.” Being an engineering genius, he’s extremely good when it comes to helping Lance override security locks, even though he’s extremely reluctant and worried about them sneaking around. (Pidge, Allura, and Romelle eventually join their little rookie detective team, giving Hunk more of a headache.)

Lance and Keith attend the same high school, along with their friends, and Lance still has the declared rivalry with him. By some chance, Keith always gets called in for Phantom Thief duties whenever Lance tries to talk to him, so Lance has the initial impression Keith doesn’t think he’s worth talking to (even if Keith does want to).

The cursed artifacts due a multitude of stuff, from making whoever it’s possessed fall in a deep sleep or trapping them in a painting. One of the cursed artifacts end up being a sword belonging to Allura’s family (aka Alfor’s sword). When it possesses Lance (imagine the Sword Card possessing Rika in Cardcaptor akjdhas), Keith is forced to fight him without harming Lance in any way. (Also yes, Phantom Thief Keith has his magic Marmora blade too.) Keith gets wounded, and the shock of seeing that gives Lance enough of a drive to resist the curse and a chance for Keith to swipe the sword away from his hand (P.S. yes because they start to fall for each other (o・ω・o))

One cursed artifact puts Lance in a deep sleep that can only be awakened by the person he loves. (cue dramatic romantic angst)

Lance gets torn between liking Keith and Phantom Thief Marmora (cue even more dramatic romantic angst)

South Kingsboro welcomed Jules Carter into the world on June 29th, 1994. Some months before she was born, her father, then 25, buckled under the pressure of becoming a first-time parent. He left his new family for a drug and alcohol fueled bender from which he wouldn't return, the only evidence of his existence being the throes of addiction that Lynn would never be able to recover from.

Lynn, who was 17 when she had Jules, was none-too-happy raising a child more or less on her own. She relied heavily on her acquaintances to get by, many of them being "friends" that her ex introduced her to. She would often leave her daughter with drug dealers and the like in order to maintain several jobs. Being a typical user, however, most of the legitimate jobs would come and go quickly. The most lucrative route, prostitution, would also be the catalyst in catapulting her habitual drug use into a full-blown addiction that would ultimately result in her death.

When Jules herself was just 17, she came home to her mother unconscious on the living room floor. It wasn't a strange occurrence to walk in to a scene similar to that, but she quickly recognized that this time was different. Her mother had been dead long before she even came through the door. In order to avoid being placed into foster care, Jules slept on (childhood friend)'s couch until her 18th birthday, when the city no longer pretended to care about its hapless youth. After that, she drifted from place to place, eventually ending up moving into her first shitty apartment with a roommate and what little savings she had.

For a brief period that year, she was confronted with the very real possibility of repeating her mother's mistakes when she discovered that she was pregnant. Without consulting the father, she made the decision to terminate the pregnancy. In order to afford the procedure, Jules had to adopt the same sleazy behavior that she had been around to witness all of her childhood. Pick-pocketing, grand theft auto and breaking and entering were just a few of the methods that she relied on. Although through nefarious means, Jules was finally making enough money to be living beyond the typical paycheck-to-paycheck even after having an abortion. She broke her own promise to herself, that she would clean up her act once she had enough money to fall back on. But it was an easy income, much easier than appeasing and kissing up to the wealthier North Kingsborians that flooded the business district, and Jules felt that she was due some reparations for the hand that she had been dealt, and she was willing to take it for herself.

And she wasn't the only one. Jules finally went her own way when, ironically, her roommate began stealing from her. She found a studio apartment with a property manager that had few rules and even less concern for the tenants of his buildings or their actions. His only stipulation was that rent was to paid on time every month, and it worked out well for her. She came and went whenever she felt the need, and her apartment became a sanctuary of sorts for low key hangouts. While she still dips her hands into darker waters in present day, she also works at a couple of legitimate businesses to ward off any suspicion of how she makes a living.

𝐼𝐼 - 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓬𝓪𝓷𝓸𝓷𝓼. ＊

๑ Jules got a laptop from one of her mother's shady friends when she was 13. It was undoubtedly stolen, but she kept it and taught herself the basics of hacking and internet security, which has evolved over the years as she continues practicing. She's used her abilities to make money off of people multiple times, and at this point she's able to figuratively (and possibly literally) get away with murder and never have to worry about it being traced back to her.

๑ She grew up with an ever-absent father, and her mother tried constantly to fill the void with a revolving door of men who were far from appropriate for a stand-in parent. Eventually, Jules made no effort in remembering their names, simply calling every one of them John, an obvious way of reducing him to just another client. The irritation from her mother when she did so was always a satisfying bonus.

Have you played L.O.G? Otome Reviews: L.O.G

Hello My dear Mochlings! I hope you are all well. Mochi is here once again with a new review!

Today’s review is on another collection app called L.O.G or Love stories & Otome Games by Ciagram CO. From what I researched this game was released in March and was updated on September 12th of this year. I haven’t heard much on this app so I figured I’d check it out! Now what is L.O.G?

L.O.G is described as an app where one can experience love.

Basically, like most Otome collection apps it combines standalone apps in one place but the standalones still exist (for those wondering) and not all of them are on this app.

On a personal level the only Ciagram CO. Game I ever played was Princess Closet and I only played the prologue because the device I was using at that time was so old I had to unfortunately remove it and had forgotten about it! I only recently rediscovered Ciagram after I heard that My Bewitching perfume was being added to the Nintendo Switch’s Library of Otome.(Side note, It seems to be a pretty extensive list? Maybe I’ll cover it) That in turn made me remember Princess Closet. ٩(♡ ω ♡ )۶

Now onto the app itself, When the app is first started there is a policy that must be agreed on before use of the app, basically saying that any images in game like CG’s, etc. cannot be claimed for your own as in you can’t say they belong to you, the basic policy to be found. Also, regarding user data if you choose not to use the app anymore and want to delete user data, for example if you had saved data to transfer, then you can opt-out and they will delete your data after a certain time. If you want to return after that then you will have to restart the game and agree to the policy once again.

The layout reminds me of the Dear Otome app by NTT Solmare, it is a basic layout. There are six titles on the Title List screen, Princess closet and My Bewitching Perfume included! With four language options provided, Japanese, English, French, and German. Two out of the six titles are voiced. Then a my page section with your character name, and purchase history if you so choose to buy hearts. Then in the top right corner there is a setting section including how to play, FAQ’s, and the policy and Opt-out section.

Now the good part is that you don’t have to buy hearts! You have five free hearts everyday, it resets at midnight JST. You can also watch ads for heart fragments 3 fragments make 1 heart, you get a total of two extra hearts so that equals six fragments from six ads. You don’t have to use them right away if you don’t want to either but beware, they do expire after a certain amount of time so check your my page section and look for Heart, there will be an expiration date underneath.

I have only started to play but I may do an individual review on the separate games at a later date so keep an eye out.

Disclaimer: i only to this for fun, to share it with you guys, and to practice my japanese :) which is very basic so keep in mind that i could be completely mistaken in some parts. This is just a fan translation of incomplete spoilers, so: Don’t forget to support the official releases of Magi!

NRC School Barrier, Chenya, Ghosts, and Grim

On today’s list of questions that no one asked about lmao, I’ve been wondering how the school barrier works. Specifically, WHO is allowed to enter, and WHY?

The school barrier is an invisible magical barrier that keeps out intruders, maintained 24/7 and only put down for events. It’s why outsiders in the Halloween events and for Spelldrive and the VDC competitions are allowed in. From Book 6, we now know that the barrier can be breached, and breaking it sounds akin to shattered glass. Technomatic weapons, perhaps? And in the Spectral Soirée event, the barrier can also be manipulated (with extremely powerful magic) to prevent the people inside from escaping, and stop time inside the barrier.

Who maintains it or how is unknown, I believe. I assume it’s from a magical item like a huge magestone, just because I don’t think it would be safe for the staff members to maintain such a large barrier 24/7.

Anyway, back to the real point -v- If the barrier is made to prevent intruders, how did Chenya and the Ghost Bride enter the school? And most importantly, how did Grim renter the school in the prologue?

It is uncertain if Chenya’s unique magic allows him to disappear/reappear at will, or just make parts of his body invisible. I’ve seen wikis and blogs claim both, and I don’t believe it’s ever fully explained in canon (is it explained in the novels? 👀). Somehow, Chenya can enter NRC despite being a RSA student.

It’s a similar case for the Ghost Bride and her retainers: they can just enter the school every year and stay at Ramshackle Dorm so Eliza can search for her perfect prince.

So what’s the deal here?? How can Chenya (a living person) and ghosts both be able to enter the campus?

All I can think of is that both characters lack a “corporeal body.”

Both Chenya and the ghosts have a soul, but depending on Chenya’s use of magic, neither have a physical body. If Chenya is staying very true to Disney’s Cheshire Cat, then he can make his body “intangible.” It’s not just invisibility- his body can not be touched. It literally does not physically exist for as long as he uses his magic.

With this pattern, I’m deducing that the barrier blocks out physical body, which is the typical case of an “intruder,” but when it comes to the nitpicky details like souls? Either it’s not possible, just way too specific, or simply not necessary. Ghosts don’t really cause any harm save for temporary paralyzing…which is bad but this is NRC we’re talking about -v- Chenya is just also has a very unique ability that seems to qualify as one of those rare for a Unique Magics that affect the users body, like Jack’s Unleash the Beast. It would be nearly impossible for any organization to account for ALL of the possible Unique Magic’s out there.

Case Solved…right? As the usual case with my theories, there answer is no ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ Grim is causing all the trouble for me, which is entirely in character for him!!!

Grim was specifically ejected from the CAMPUS in the prologue. He was taken away with Riddle’s collar on, so he couldn’t use magic. While there is the possibility of Grim managing to slip out of the hands of the people taking him away, by the time he returned to Ramshackle dorm, Riddle’s collar was gone. Since it can only be removed with Riddle’s consent, I assume he was successfully taken out of campus.

So how did the little gremlin get back in??? And actually, how did Grim end up inside the NRC campus in the first place (when trying to steal the MCs uniform)?

Grim has a unique physiology, as he’s the magical fusion of an animal and a Direbeast. However, he does have corporeal body, unless the curse placed on him provides him with some loopholes. To be honest, I wonder if his abnormal high blot density is a part of this Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑) Can Overblot Monsters trespass the school barrier? Technically, they don’t have a body. Their “body” is just built up blot, which is the waste product of magic. Since I’ve been theorizing that Grim is a sealed Phantom, I think his ability to go through the school barrier is important 👀

Anyway, this was very random, but I’d appreciate any thoughts on the subject! I think it’s really easy to get excited and run with all the theories involving characters, but random things like the school barrier can easily get overlooked ∑(ﾟДﾟ)

Mt. Gox Gets Closer to Returning Over 141,000 Bitcoin To Its Users

Mt. Gox is in possession of over 141,000 Bitcoin and more than 142,000 Bitcoin Cash. Does this mean that users will finally get their funds back five years later?

Mt. Gox Hodling Funds Worth Over Half a Billion Dollars

Ever since the industry was rocked by the collapse of its biggest cryptocurrency exchange in 2014, it’s been a long and painful waiting period for users out of pocket.

Thieves stole some 850,000 BTC (then the equivalent of around $450 million, but worth billions today). While some of the funds have been returned, the majority of users are still waiting. And waiting, and waiting…

2014 to today is light years in the cryosphere and a series of events have since passed.

Ex-CEO Mark Karpeles spent a year in a Japanese prison despite reportedly claiming his innocence. Reports found that the dumping of Mt. Gox bitcoins on the market caused its tailspin last year.

And more recently, it emerged that Karpeles will likely avoid a lengthier time in the slammer by serving a four-year suspended sentence.

But finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for: According to a report published by the Mt. Gox trustee Nobuaki Kobayashi, the exchange still has over 141,000 BTC and 142,000 BCH. Nobuaki Kobayashi is entrusted with returning these funds to the users.

Will Mt. Gox Victims Finally Be Compensated?

The report caused a flurry of excitement on the internet, with tweets claiming that the decision to return all these funds had been made.

However, without getting too far into the weeds of a poorly translated Japanese legal document, while Mt. Gox may have almost 70 billion yen ($631,965,561 USD) or over half a billion dollar’s worth of BTC and BCH, the liabilities will likely be far more.

Further documents speak about how users will be notified if their claim for funds is approved or rejected based on whether they filed online or via email. The trustee says:

In a few days, the Rehabilitation Trustee will make the results of approval or disapproval of Exchange-Related Rehabilitation Claims available to Users who filed their Exchange-Related Rehabilitation Claims

For those who missed the 10/22/2018 deadline for submitting claims, they’ll need to download a claims form here. However:

Whether proofs of rehabilitation claims filed after the deadline will be accepted is determined by the court

Does this mean that all Mt. Gox users will finally get their funds back? Of course. In the same world in which the Easter Bunny and Santa Clause exist.

One excited user on Reddit said that he received an email with the good news that his claim was approved. However, the criteria for approval or denial is unclear, judging by the Reddit users in the comments who said their claims were refused.

When Will the Funds Be Returned to the Lucky Users?

If you’re one of the Mt. Gox victims who spent an excruciating five years waiting, you’ve probably been called many things. “Lucky” isn’t usually one of them, but there could be good news coming your way… The question now is, when?

The emails coming out of Nobuaki Kobayashi haven’t been too specific, with users being told:

I will contact you in due course

However, sifting through the Japanese Legalese documents posted on the Mt. Gox website, it would seem the earliest funds can be expected around May.

This, of course, would be very good news for Mt. Gox users. However, the entire space is waiting to find out whether the release of the Mt. Gox bitcoins will impact the market and if the released coins will actually increase the amount in circulation.

Call me cynical, though, but after so much time has passed, this author won’t be holding her breath.

BIOGRAPHY:

Magic was a curse with all of the makings of a blessing.

๑ . The teacher talks backwards, every syllable carefully following the next in a disarray, like a foreign language all its own. It’s all gibberish anyway, you think. The numbers and the textbook scripture. Eventually, she begins to cry, a horrible, petrified, little sound that crackles from the depths of her lungs. All of your friends have saucer eyes, some pale when she makes an escape for the hall. There’s a thud and the metallic click of her heels cease; the faculty calls it a stroke but you know it wasn’t. Somewhere, in the back of your mind you know that it was you.

The taste of that power on your lips felt like the sweetest absinthe, entwining your fingers with the unknown. And you held on for all it was worth, you dug your nails into its skin and felt it cringe under your grip. Nothing could take it from you.

๒. With the progression of age there’s a loss of ignorance that everyone faces, at one point or another. Although, you seem to only recall a continuous erosion. The more you accepted one world, the other faltered and fell away neath your feet. It was a choice you were too selfish to make at the time, but one side had to win. In retrospect, you wonder what it would have been like if you had adored normality as much as you enjoyed the abyss of a life riddled with the absence of it.

You groan in return, the aftermath of magic stripped from your limbs, like a freight train to the chest, “falling from grace, that is.”

๕. By the time your first meeting with this man begins to dissect itself from memory, you’re convinced nothing from your homeland is worth carrying with you alongside the secrets you harbor. It’s a world meant to be traversed alone, its fruits and succulent wonders all temptations that many may never fathom. You learn there are risks you’re not willing to take alongside luxuries you’re not willing to sacrifice. There’s a sugar boat heading to Busan that you board out of sheer luck.

The decision to leave isn’t hard, but perhaps that’s what makes it all the more painful in the end.

CHARACTERIZATION:

Controlled chaos — a state of watching the clocks turn backwards, shadows talking to each other on the far walls of a room. Blood smeared hands so often the skin stains, tender. Every breath is measured from inhale to exhale. How long does this last? The fear, the wanting and how it coalesces, all ugly teeth as it swallows his conscience whole. Loneliness turns people inside-out, makes them unrecognizable over time; relying on magic isn’t a great substitute for human interaction but it suffices, indulges the part of his painfully human heart that desires to reach out and touch something just for the sake of feeling connected. He let it pacify him with its darkness and new places and eventual solitude until it was all he had. Time could never tell him much, but the trivial details. He’s aging, for one. He left everything he knew for a world that looks at him like he’s broken glass. Protruding edges. Danger that reflects streetlamps when the sun sets. He’s scared. Whenever a stranger knocks, willing, on the precipices of his mind, there’s sirens. Pushing people away becomes second nature, followed closely by precautionary facades to keep them at a distance were someone to be unnecessarily brave. One can only hope the world would stop producing the thoughtless martyr. Even more than that; the bright-eyed ambition. The tempted that empty themselves just for a glimmer of something bigger. How he’s come to loathe himself in the bits and pieces that he seems to remember before his world dissipated under a veil of smoke. One that he willed his fingers to thread through.

His notably discolored irises are in part to the accidental self inculcation of this ability. The left eye is capable of fully seeing through any and all illusions, as the spell entails while the right eye remains incapable of seeing any better than that of an unaltered human. When observing the world with both eyes open, the overall picture balances the force of this magic and gives him a weakened view ( faint auras, the silhouettes of spirits and otherworldly forces ) but often alters his ability to see properly after long periods of time. This spurs constant headaches, occasional vertigo, nausea and loss of vision entirely in the weaker eye. He has done nothing to counteract these consequences and continues to suffer from them daily.

Blood Magic Rank II ( 40 points ):

Through the use of one’s blood or that of another party, the user may treat the substance as a conduit for which magic can travel. Currently, Chaow is most comfortable with this medium albeit proving to be a little grotesque and dangerous at times. It remains the quickest and clearest way for him to connect to his reserves of power. Magic is still a foreign concept to him which has yielded few applications such as:

- Enhanced tracking through the blood of the pursued subject that must be kept on the user’s person at all times throughout the tracking process. For dire situations, Chaow can track with better efficiency after ingesting the individual of interest’s blood. Then activating an internal feeling that resembles something of a magnetic pull. The repercussions of the latter method take months to years to subside and could cloud future attempts of tracking a different subject so it has to be used with the utmost caution.

- Portal conjuration wherever the user can draw a complete ring of blood, be it from themselves or by other means. When passing through the portal one must have a clear mental image of the destination on the other side or the entry will not be granted. Furthermore, any other subjects passing through the portal must be in direct contact with the caster or the source of the blood used to be granted access. If, for some reason, the circle is obstructed in any way, the portal will immediately close. Naturally, the point of access will close once the witch has reached their desired location.

- Blood property manipulation shifting the level of acidity is the most he’s managed to do with this application, going as far as amplifying the levels enough to cause erosion in the surfaces it comes in contact with. Besides the obvious danger of excessive blood-loss, this altered state does not reflect upon Chaow. However, returning the fluid to normal has proven difficult and requires him to refrain from touching anything or anyone else until he knows for certain that it has balanced itself back to normal. Due to this, he cannot afford to create large lacerations that may take a long amount of time to stop bleeding on their own and the amount of blood he can use for this application is limited, capable of only covering a small surface area.

Anti-mind control ward, major ( 10 points ):

There’s a small burn scar of the letter “R” on his nape. It’s purely defensive in that it creates a barrier of sorts between the aggressor and the target, protecting said individual from supernatural forms of mental/emotional influence or persuasion. When one comes in contact with said barrier they may feel fatigued or incapable of focusing, but this is only when the possible threat of an intrusion arises. Otherwise, the ward is relatively invisible and remains dormant. Whilst this may aide in avoiding manipulation of the magical strain, he is still very much susceptible to social pressure and can fall victim to those who have a way with words.
