I have been re-reading the beginnings of red-verse this week, it gets better every time knowing how far Gin and Rangiku have come but also to just experience again what they started with, knowing that with hope and willingness to move forward any miserable existence can flourish (i might be a broken record saying that but it's true)

Anyway so after that little reminiscing i go back to tunglet.com and see your proposal post and (especially) the words "...a man no longer hunched from the weight of guilt or sorrow-" right after all that

out of character. HELLO YES, Ginran has me by the throat, I love them. It means a lot to me when people mention that they've been keeping up with my threads, let alone that they willingly seek them out again to reread. I'm truly so fucking lucky, you guys spoil me with validation like that -- something any writer would delight in hearing that people are reading their content.

And yes!!! that line. I often, even in canon-compliant verses, like Arrancar Arc etc. mention that Gin's posture is slumped, slouching/hunched, like -- he's just not kind to himself with the way he carries himself. But it's also a physical manifestation of how one feels, and in Redemption Verse, Gin feels heavy. He feels guilt and sorrow and regret and disgust at himself, how could he possibly EVER carry himself with pride? That sort of hopeless feeling that I'm sure anyone that's gone through a major depressive episode can relate to; the inability to see past it, the dreadful and suffocating feeling that this is it, this is what your life's going to be like, it won't ever get better -- etc. etc. and my Redverse's here to say 'wait, no' ... because even in the depths of that despair and in that defeat and near-death, wanting death, Gin has eventually (finally) reached a point in his life where he feels he can breathe. He can carry himself without feeling so heavy now. He has goals, he has plans, he has a future.

I really do hope my dumb fictional dead character's little journey can show / help people realize they have futures too, and that it isn't going to always be unbearably suffocating. You'll have happiness.

Anyways, I rambled. I appreciate this, and especially you, immensely!!!

I think I gave her the name around June 2021. I can't tweet search on the only account I have records of so its just there somewhere. He had a deadname, yeah, but Irene fit way better. Irene was supposed to be in the American colonization era in ph, fitting in with his dapper style. He was supposed to be inspired by pulahan. This old historical storyline is honestly scrapped or examined as its own fork from Irene's timelines.

Irene is a very unique guy. Nowadays I barely draw him with his head open. I don't know the motivation with making his head a protein maker. I wish I knew, but it was entertaining.

He's always been bald. I don't know where that old piece of him with the half head shadowy figure has gone. But it's the earliest known one.

I love and miss Irenator. Was planning to write something long and comprehensive but I'm exhausted. Just ask more stuff.

A FIGHT SCENE?
