So thoughts on the Gravity Falls episode of Amphibia, after a second watch of it.

It's very much in the spirit of Gravity Falls for AU versions of its characters to exist in other worlds, but I think that it's interesting that this isn't a Frog Gravity Falls... It's a different frog town that just happens to contain Frog Stan, Frog Soos, and Frog Gnomes (Fromes, as they're labeled in the Museum).

Also worth noting that all the Amphibia evidence suggests Anne is from the prime Gravity Falls Earth, but she hasn't met anyone else in either place who seemed like a counterpart of someone from the other world. Amphibia is not Frog AU Earth, generally speaking - it's very much its own thing.

Then there's the Frog Shack itself:

First off I love that it's on the main street of a completely different frog town but it still has to simulate having evergreens around it. <3 That's essential.

But also hoo boy is it clear that whoever built this place was in dealings with Bill Cipher. It is UNMISTAKABLE. So. That's concerning.

And you know what else is concerning? Frog Stan. Not that he's slightly eviller than our Stan, I'm okay with that (it's not like he even killed any of his waxworks, they're FINE). My concern is WHERE IS HIS FAMILY??

This is set in 2019. Even if his personal timeline isn't in sync with GF's, Bill has been dead for seven years. Where is Frog Ford? Where are the frog Mystery Twins?? Why is Frog Stan apparently alone in his hut with just Frog Soos, trying to make money??

I'm worried about this Stan. If things didn't get better for him in 2012, when will they get better? If he's got the same background as canon Stan, something has clearly gone sideways. :(

Returning to the multiverse considerations, however, I have some points: Frog Stan makes a couple remarks that imply he thinks his frog world is weird; he dismisses Frog Soos's musings on the multiverse in a way that sounds exactly like "Stan dismissing things he secretly knows are real"; and he HAS A CD WALKMAN. WHERE DID HE GET THAT.

He SAYS he got it from Newtopia but we later learn Newtopia has seen zero multiverse travel for a thousand years. Anne & Co. didn't bring this one, or she would have recognized it and said something. STAN. WHERE DID YOU GET THE HUMAN TECHNOLOGY.

Anyway. My working half-explanation for Frog Stan is that he is A) probably not originally from Amphibia but B) definitely did some dimension-traveling sometime in the '00s, somehow. Was he a frog when he started? Unclear. Is he a basic Portal (Frog) Stan who's been traveling since the '80s, is this his own dimension that he had to return to, or is there a more complicated backstory? Don't know.

BUT if he's met other Sooses that would at least explain why this one is "Frog Soos." :P If he's not in his own dimension, that would explain why he's not in a version of Gravity Falls and doesn't have frog niblings around (though it doesn't explain Frog Soos or the fromes), and any kind of portal travel would explain the Walkman.

Unfortunately, if he built the Curiosity Hut after coming to Amphibia, this suggests he made a deal with Bill at some point. :/ And I'm still very concerned about where his brother might be and if he has any remaining hope of finding him.

(It's fine though! It's fine. Our Pines Family can find him at some point and help out, probably. They're good at that. Especially if Anne meets them and is able to tell them about Frog Stan.)

#still though. frog stan makes me sad #he is not flourishing he is not on the proper conditions for a stan pines #he needs his FAMILY #and before you say 'oh maybe they're just not here right now' if they were in his life he wouldn't be kidnapping children for money #if frog ford were around he'd be PRESENT! and even if just the kids were in his life this would be a stan with visibly different priorities #i think anyway #the kids bring change into his life - even if they couldn't get his brother back they'd have kicked him into a better status quo SOMEHOW

So, while I’m trying to sort some things for my Toxic Chain Possession AU, I’m gonna post some trivia about my version of Pecharunt:

Pecharunt’s voice is a mix of Matapt from ‘Game Theory’ and Bill Cipher from ‘Gravity Falls’

His personality is inspired by traits of Matpat, Bill Cipher and Eon (5 Years Later).

Pecharunt’s human form isn’t a disguise, if you were to check his DNA and Aura, it would be read as Human.

He has multiple inspirations, but that’ll be for another time.

Pecharunt is a neither a ghost, nor a ghost-type Pokémon. Like Acerola’s Mimikyu from the anime for the former. It’s unclear what species he falls under.

Despite being 14-15 years old biologically in his human form, he displays several traits that are seemingly impossible for a kid his age to do.

His favorite food is Mochi.

He likes singing (and is really good at it).

He’s a very good voice actor and actor (Atticus is jealous of him)

While he has a human form, it’s unknown why he joined the academy.

Despite his powers not relating to the ability, he’s somehow aware of alternate timelines and realities. Evidenced by some of his quotes. It’s unknown if it’s a coincidence or he actually knows.

He has multiple Pokémon and humans that he has poisoned as his scouts and agents around the globe.

The only ones that know his plans are the P8 Council and his assistants.

In this AU, he’s genetically related to the Glimmora line. It would be explained in the future.

He doesn’t like NFTs

His favorite video game is ‘Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story’ (but he’s not a fan of the remake)

He bears no hatred or holds grudges to anyone. Since he feels that it’s pointless to do so.

In my not-really-formed Pirate Boba AU, in which instead of going to prison for that little unpleasantness concerning Jango's armour and a certain amount of attempted murder, he escapes along with Hondo Ohnaka who adopts him into his motley crew and teaches him the ways of piracy and swashbuckling, I think they'd have some awkward but important conversations on the theme "what Jango would have wanted."

In The Clone Wars it's Hondo who persuades Boba to give up the location of the hostages taken from the ship Endurance to the Jedi; Boba has been in some moral conflict about how best to deal with the hostages, and he's been shocked by how ruthless Aurra Sing is in killing anyone who crosses her or no longer suits her plans. We know, but it's unclear whether Boba does (the old YA novels suggested he was uncomfortably aware but didn't want to think too much about it), that Jango similarly discarded his partner/subcontractor Zam Wesell when she was captured by the Jedi, shooting her with a poisoned dart before she could reveal his name. It's also unclear whether Hondo believes what he's saying, or is simply trying to appeal to the better nature he sees in Boba by saying whatever will let him give himself permission to do the decent thing, when he tells him Jango was honourable and would want him to spare the hostages' lives.

I mean, the whole reason I want Hondo to adopt Boba, besides the fact that Hondo is funny and I like him, is that he was the only adult Boba trusted who encouraged him to choose something other than the most violent and destructive path available, and he deserves that as well as the loyalty that Bossk, for example, shows for him in Actual Adult Prison (© Gravity Falls).

I imagine Boba initially finding it hard to accept Hondo taking care of him, perhaps saying that he should be making his own way in the galaxy now.

Hondo: Tell me, would your father have kicked you out to fend for yourself at this tender age?

Boba: ...no.

Hondo: He wanted to see you grow up and take pride in your accomplishments, right?

Boba: ...yeah.

Hondo: So I'm simply going to act on his behalf and carry out his wishes. Besides, it's not as if I'm going to baby you. I'm a dastardly pirate! Let's get you a hat.

Over time, and as he hears more stories about the now-legendary bounty hunter his father was, Boba develops doubts about what Hondo told him back then, and being an angsty adolescent tends to see things in strict all-or-nothing terms.

Boba: Tell me the truth. Was my dad really an honourable man?

Hondo: "Truth" is such a vague word. People are complicated.

Boba: So you just lied to me. You tricked me. He wasn't honourable at all.

Hondo: At most I fibbed. And what do you expect? I'm a pirate! (He's trying to play it off lightly, but he can see Boba's chin is trembling and he has to sit down.)

Boba: I don't know if anything I believed about him was true. I don't even know if he loved me.

Hondo (sitting down beside him): No. You do know that. And I know. When we worked together he couldn't shut up about you, he was so proud of you. Not just the skills you were learning. The cute things you did and the funny things you said. The last time I saw him before you were born, he was talking about his project to raise the ultimate bounty hunter. He called you "the project." The next time? All he could talk about was his baby boy. Whatever else you believe about Jango, believe he loved you more than he ever thought possible.

Boba (after a deep breath): So you'd say he was complicated?

Hondo: At his best, he was honourable. No one is always at their best. That's as close to the truth as I get.

(And Boba leans his head against Hondo's shoulder and Hondo gently pats his back.)

I’m pretty open when it comes to writing. Keep in mind I only write character x reader. I don't want my work put anywhere by anyone else whether I'm given credit or not. That being said, I do also post on Quotev, Wattpad and AO3 all with the same name that I have here on Tumblr.

A few extra things:

With team ups I will do them with opposite genders.

Although i can't have a limit on characters there's a chance that if there are many characters i will cut it in half. For example, for the Danganronpa case if the whole case is requested I will split it by writing the boys and girls separately.

I can do mixed posts with characters from different series in the same post.

All series that are below are put in ABC order and in categories in how i am following them plus just of what they are to make it easier to find series. (there is a chance of a series being in more than one category.)

(IF YOU LIKE GRAVITY FALLS AUS, BILL, AND PYRONICA. GO NO FURTHER!)

If you look down a couple posts, I said something about an au where Pyronica and Bill switched places. So Pyronica is a a dream demon and the main antagonist. And Bill is a friend of Pyro’s who is a henchmaniac during Weirdmageddon. These sketches are pretty messy and poorly coloured (It’s 2 am) butttt I was so Excited about this idea I had to draw it.

Pyronica is this au has the exact same powers as Bill’s. The difference is their personality. Py is very silly and girly. She uses sillier nicknames for the wheel members (ex: Dipper= Piney. Wendy= Chilly) She’s pretty much Mabel, if Mabel was chaotically evil. She’s secretly sinister and a genius, Always a step ahead. Her temper is terrible and she’s known to turn anyone who annoys her into a cute animal! Like a Daubentonia madagascariensis! A thing that really sets her apart from Bill though, is how she makes deals. Bill pretends to be your friend, right? Well… Pyro goes the suductive route. Turning into the victim’s crush and plaguing their dreams with lies and promises in that form. Example:

“Make a deal with that nice pink lady! If you do… we can finally be happy together!”

There’s a reason she keeps ‘that’ womanly form. (Honestly, she doesnt even know she’s supposed to wear clothes over those bits. She doesn’t care, her victims always look at her is the way she wants them to and thats good enough for her) This precisely what she does with Ford. Doing little things in his dreams. Like, giving him cookies his Ma used to make. Or smelling like his favorite smell. I feel like for Ford to like someone, she/he has to be smart, so Pyronica correcting his calculations, helping with the portal, and these little things she does, all together. I feel like he would kinda fall for that (or at least trust her). She does the same for Dipper but… he’s a kid so not quite the same little things she added for Ford. (*Cough* Why do you keep dropping that galactic crystal, And Picking It Up verrrryyyy slowly?! *Cough*) For example, making her hair red, smelling like the forest, or acting like she LOVES his theories about The Journal.

When she possess him, she’s less about the pain (Like Bill), and more about food and emotional trauma. She would try to stuff a whole cake down her throat, and embarrass Dipper by doing the worst things in public. (Like running around naked well screaming ‘I LOVE TACO BELL) Mabel would probably call them Pipper.

Her Weirdmageddon would be different too! I kinda think it would be Mabel land but full blown nightmarish. Like the sparkles from the sky are actually ground up baby bones or stuff. Oh, and EVERYTHING is a the brightest shade of pink, that humans can even process it fast enough. This brings me to her henchmaniacs. She would talk to them very sweetly and act all proper, but if ONE thing goes wrong. She’s going full out genocide. (Her favorite drink would be some ridiculous bright pink drink that’s more smoothie then alcohol)

I’ll add some stuff later but for now that’s it about Pyro

Bill in this kinda confused me for a bit. Would he a humonoid figure like Pyro? Or stay a triangle. Above I pictured him as a triangle but honestly I don’t really care, you can picture him anyway you want. Bill is pretty much the same for apperence except his black limbs are on fire and he has a black cape. His powers are weaker too. He’s able to go Nightmare mode like the other henchmaniacs did in weirdmageddon pt 3. Other then that, only fire and floating. His personality is different too. He’s kinda quiet, but when he does talk. He’s very flirtatious (there’s no meaning behind his flirt, he just does it to creep people out) I still have alot of kinks to work out with Bill but for now, that’s all I have

Last night/this morning, I had a dream that was... basically the entire movie of The Search for Spock. Except it was this weird, extremely alternate universe version. Kind of like how the newest Star Trek movies are an alternate universe version of TOS

cut because who wants to actually read this weird star trek AU dream, really? (me, I do, it was fun even if it made no sense)

So, just like in The Search for Spock, in this dream Spock was dead. But instead of his original body going to the weird planet that brought him back to life and reversed his age, he was just... reborn?? I guess? This part was very unclear. But he died, the crew gave him a fancy space burial, and that was the end of his original body.

But then later they found this kid on a ship that was adrift in space. I guess technically they found a whole bunch of people on the ship, but all those folks got rescued and sent home. Everyone was in the ship’s manifest except this one Vulcan kid, and no one could figure out where he came from or how he got on the stranded ship, or where he was supposed to go. The kid himself didn’t seem to have any memories, either (al la the original film of course) But The second this kid met the captain of the Enterprise, he knew Kirk’s name, and Kirk was like “HOLY SHIT IT’S SPOCK YOU GUYS” Because only one Vulcan kid in all of space could possibly know who he is, right? lol

But stupid dream-logic aside, they recognized each other, and when Spock heard his own name he was like “OH. YES. RIGHT. That’s me I guess.” But then asdie from Kirk and his own name, he couldn’t really remember anything else. Unlike in the movie, Spock never left what was basically his soul with Bones, (or with anyone else for that matter) so there was no easy fix to his memory loss . But eventually the crew figured out that memories could be triggered by certain events, so they all took turns spending the day with this new babby Spock, showing him the ship and their jobs and all that, so that he could gradually gain back all his memories.

A whole lot of the dream was just that. An early-teens Spock following crewmates around the ship and keeping a log of the things he remembered, and very slowly becoming more and more like himself again.

He was also like... aging faster that normal? I guess? Because at the beginning of the dream he was probably 11 or 12. But near the end of it he was already 20, and no one could fucking explain why, except Bones who had some drunk halfass theory that was basically “IDFK, like, maybe he ages a year every time he regains a year of memory? The hell should I know?” And Bones was very grumpy about all of it the whole time, because for whatever reason, (probably because of the movie tbh) hanging out with Bones triggered more memories more quickly than with anyone else. *shrug*

There was very little plot beyond that, except of course some Spock angst about not fully remembering the people who were clearly very important to him, and a whole lot of confusion about what the fuck happened after he died, and what was going to happen now that he was no longer dead.

Aaaannnd... the very last bit was this huge kind of flashback thing, which was another memory. But it wasn’t from Spock’s original life. It was from earlier after he was reborn, and still just a little kiddo, before he wound up on the ship that went adrift. Something about a planet that was being colonized, and a whole bunch of random people were being sent there as part of an immigration program. But the little transport pod that Spock was on went haywire, and everyone had to evacuate mid-flight. So people were jumping out from like hundreds of feet in the air, hoping that they’d land in deeper parts of the ocean they were over (because it was this huge ocean that was at most, only 20 feet deep in any given area, while some parts were hardly 3 feet deep) So yadda yadda, crashing drama, people jumping to either watery salvation or watery death. Young Spock managed to throw himself out of the transport just before it exploded, but the force of the explosion threw him into the water a lot harder than if he’d just naturally fallen in with plain ol’ gravity. During/after the fall, he got all battered up with debris, then THEN whacked his head on some rocks or coral or something on the sea floor. He was knocked unconscious, but he managed to get washed up on shore safe (ish) and (mostly) sound, afterwhich he was found by people who came rushing in to help after the crash.

And after telling the crew about THAT memory, everyone realized that Spock was initially reborn with ALL the memories of his original life, but fucking lost it all in the transport crash

I didn’t get any kind of conclusion with this dream because someone decided to fucking call me at 7:30 in the damn morning and wake my ass up. But yeah it was geeky and interesting, I liked it
