Rodolfo with an Aggressive-Sweet!Reader

Rodolfo probably wouldn’t think too much of you at first, thinking that you’re simply an aggressive person with a preference for violent things, always ready to pick fights and showing people where they belong without as much as a second thought. I’m gonna be honest with you, he will think that’s about all there is to you at first. Rodolfo isn’t always the best at judging people from the outside correctly, but he knows how to treat people with respect, if they deserve it. Besides, you’re a high ranking soldier, you know what you’re doing with the new recruits and show them they really shouldn’t mess too much with you. While he wouldn’t avoid you, he wouldn’t think too much of you, what you see is what you get.

So when he finds you looking at a plushie of Cinnamoroll for a prolonged time, he raises an eyebrow, asking you if you’re doing okay or if someone has upset you. It’s then that you’d admit to liking cute things. Truthfully, Rodolfo would be slightly taken aback, not expecting something like that in the slightest. Being a freak about weapons and vehicles, maybe, but not Sanrio. He will ask you if you’re being serious, but won’t press the matter too much. After the initial shock is over, he might chuckle a bit when he’s on his own and replaying the scenario in his head, remembering the cute lil plushie of the dog.

In fact, you liking cute things won’t leave his mind for a while. Every time he walks by that store, seeing the plushie, he’s thinking about you, until he finally gives in and buys it for you. Maybe you had more surprises up your sleeve if he started talking to you some more. Him giving you the gift would be pretty straight forward: He’ll either look for a good opportunity when the two of you are alone or he’ll call you into an empty office to give it to you. Not everyone needs to know about your soft spot for sweet things. Will also try to strike up a conversation with you afterwards. Depending on how well it goes, he might invite you to a lovely little cafe nearby. It’s not Sanrio themed, but it’s got a nice aesthetic. Sometimes he thinks about how you’d react to him asking you to go to a cat cafe together. You likely wouldn’t say no.

Jokingly, he’ll ask you more about your person: What music do you listen to? What’s your favorite animal and why? Which colors do you like the most and why? He likes hearing the reasoning behind everything because it’s just so funny to him. You, who blares Amon Amarth during your time off, like looking at pictures of baby animals cuddling with each other. He’s the last person to judge you, but he does like comparing how you present yourself in front of the recruits to how you present yourself when he asks you regarding your favorite food. Rodolfo has definitely taken a greater interest in you than he did before. Besides, getting to know your co-workers isn’t such a bad thing either, that way he knows who he is protecting on the battlefield.

zootopia would have never truly been able to work like it was meant to because using the prey vs predator dynamic as an allegory for racial prejudice is fundamentally flawed at an unfixable level, BUT if they had decided to go through with the shock collar concept all the way instead of turning it into a cop bootlicking party it would've at least been cool and interesting for a disney movie

My feelings on VnC and PH being connected have fluctuated, but currently, Id be hype to have an allusion/reference to PH but Id dislike an establishment that every Mochijun series will then have to fit into the structure PH created.

I literally do not think Essek is going to win this poll! I do not think he is going to win the tournament! I seeded Laerryn number one for a reason! For a number of factors I think it would be very difficult for anyone to beat her! I literally put him and Laerryn on the same side of the bracket so that they would not end up in the final, because I did not think it was going to be an interesting fight! We as a fandom beat "Laerryn could smash any wizard in Exandria without contest" into the ground weeks ago! I considered writing a stump speech just for kicks for every semifinalist, because I like to argue things and I love playing up a ridiculous and meaningless kayfabe!

I had a Humorous Realization the Other Day: my love/hate relationship with Fulbright/The Phantom's Characters and how Dual Destinies handled them Reminded me of an old Childhood Favorite Character of mine, from my favorite game Ever: Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door -- and what Strange Similarities they have. Doopliss is a Relatively prominent antagonist in TTYD; and just an all around Fun Time (in my opinion) He's a Duplighost, a shapeshifter species who can take on the appearance of others (but he goes a step further than the rest in that regard)

There's even a simple, but effective twist during his on-screen introduction that becomes the premise of the 4th chapter of the game (If you know, you know -- but if not, and you want context, I think it's Quicker and Easier just to see for yourself than me explaining:)

And in a vaguely similar fashion, the Phantom is a Superspy lacking any identity of their own; who takes on the faces of others as masks. (It's a concept introduced in the late game, with a twist at the last moment that I find to be neither simple or effective, nor even utilized well -- but that's for another time.)

Sure, they're so Far Apart personality wise (er, well, if the Phantom even has a personality of their own) but hey, they have in common that they're Identity Theft Committing Bastards with Ghost Theming 👻

ok so I've been thinking about about akutagawa (as always) and... do you think he has an education? I don't think he ever went to school, I mean I do think he can read and write but I don't think he knows much more...

He definitely doesn't. And he still talks like that and it's absolutely hilarious.

Official material gives us a pretty exhaustive understanding of Akutagawa's life and we can tell with fair certainty he never had a proper education. He grew up in the slums until he was recluted in the pm by Dazai, and I highly doubt Dazai ever imprinted any kind of academic education on him (like I have reason to believe Kouyou may have done with Chuuya); on the contrary, I feel like Dazai always pushed to make out of Akutagawa this mindless fighting machine, always acting irrationally and on instinct and especially prone to take orders and not think with his head. After all, it's much harder for people that lack formal education to think critically and are thus also much easier to manipulate, so you can see why Dazai did that, how he never leaves anything to chance. I do think Akutagawa's lack of education is reflected in his impulsive, irrational behavior. Additionally, be it for circumstantial factors, be it because of his natural temperament, it's really hard to believe Akutagawa would ever be patient enough to sit to a schooldesk or even just... ever study anything on a textbook (it's the autism). I get why the image of brooding, mysterious guy often leads people to think that, but the concept of bookworm Akutagawa sounds extremely unbelievable to me, I struggle to believe he ever concluded a book his whole life as we know it.

Which leaves the question open on why Akutagawa talks like that™. My personal guess on that is that someone threw a big dictionary at him when he was very young and Rashomon absorbed it just like that
