Productivity
Breaks
I find that the best ways to be productive and get the most out of your day is to be productive on breaks. So if you study for an hour or however long you're working, when you take a break still do something. For me this is usually doing laundry or doing the dishes. That way everything gets done but you still get a break from studying and stay in a productive groove. This has helped me so much with getting everything done when I have a long to do list.
Start with the fun stuff
When I go to start a study session I start with my favorite subject. This allows me to get into the groove of studying. Then after I get a part done I move on to a different subject and get a part done before I switch back. This helps so much when I don't feel like starting.
When the above doesn't work....
When I really can't be motivated to study, I do a very simple trick. I tell myself that I will count to ten and at the end I will do (blank). I repeat that line twice and then count slowly. When I hit 10 I find I'm able to get started.
Music
I work best when I have background noise. Specifically instrumental music. I listen to the 2 Chellos on Spotify or Lofi lusic on YouTube. This also helps to switch my brain into productive mode as I only listen to these when I work.
Do what works best for you! I hope some of these can help you to study better and be more productive

Brand new study supplies!! Absolutely loving the purple ink pens, the purchase also sends some of the money to breast cancer research. They are super smooth to write with, don't smudge and a beautiful purple colour.

You can tell today was a Monday lol. I was tired and feeling pretty sluggish but I still got stuff done. Not as much as I'd have hoped but some other stuff popped up as well.
3hr physiology lecture. Was really engaging learning about neurons and how they communicate and what can disrupt them. Answer: EVERYTHING! My God is the body a delicate thing lol.
Job searched for the summer and currently have 2 positions I'm considering in my field.
2½hrs lecture in health counseling where we went over goal setting and habit changes. We're to choose a goal and work on for the semester. Mine is consistently doing my home physiotherapy exercises.
Finished health assignment
2hrs of physiotherapy
And a call with my family.
All in all a good day.

I didn't get much done on Thursday as I couldn't focus due to some pain I was experiencing and on a Friday I had my anatomy lab where my friends and I went through and taught ourselves everything from that week. We've been learning all about pelvis and perineum and that is continuing this week.

Yesterday and today have been so productive! Today specifically
Did 3hrs of physiology notes and textbook readings for this week
2½ hrs with some friends studying anatomy pelvic cavity, and biochemistry review
As a reward to myself for doing so well this week I spent the night doing my nails, drinking hot chocolate and enjoying a good movie.

Day 2 productivity challenge
Tumblr media
I spent 3hrs+ on physiology readings going over diffusion and neurons, had a really great yoga class, completed another physiotherapy session, and got all my laundry done. I had no class today so I got to spend my time doing everything I needed to get done. Hopefully it'll make some more sense tomorrow after a break lol.

I'm doing 4 courses this semester, 3 of which are pretty intense. Biochemistry and metabolism, physiology 1, anatomy 2, and health counseling and behavioral change.
Today is day 1 of my 100 days of productivity.
Finished writing all my notes
Made flashcards for the content so far
Read required readings for physiology 1 this week
I'm hoping I can keep this momentum going throughout the week to get everything done. I have a study plan detailing my next 12 weeks of classes and I'm sure I'll be in great shape for the exams. Only 1 month till midterms. Gotta stay focused.

Hi! I'm a first year student in a 4 year kinesiology program at my dream school, and aiming for a double masters in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy. I'm 2 days into the second semester and I'm feeling more comfortable in my plan and what I'm doing. With that said I absolutely love my friends, martial arts and working out, being outside and just having a great time.
First semester was rough being the first semester of university but also because I was dealing with alot of health issues and medical appts frequently. I'm optimistic that this semester is going to be way better!
