A week before the Champion Cup begins, Leon comes home to spend some time with his family. But on top of hanging out with Hop, Leon has a special surprise in store for his little brother - if Hop chooses to accept it.

Hop and Leon’s relationship in Pokéspe is really fascinating to me, and I started writing this fic as a way to explore the unique aspects of it. At some point it turned into this massive beast of a story because I love writing them so much. After languishing in editing hell for months, I think it’s finally ready to see the light of day. So, from an objective standpoint, the spontaneous decision to buy a laser pointer and give it to Sun as a gift is a terrible idea. Moon almost turns around and returns it to the store several times on the way home.

But in the end, the look on his face when he opens the present makes it all worth it.
