Love

My second HypMic fic that I wrote about a month ago. I decided to change the name of Jakurai's kid to match the connection of Matenrou's name.

Setsuna - a moment; an instant (split second)

Pairing: Jakurai x deceased!wife reader

Genre: Angst,, fluff

A thirty-three year old man clad in a military outfit was greeted by the helpers of the mansion. He was partially covered in blood, his long hair tied into a low ponytail.

He entered his room, the room he used to share with his deceased wife. He was greeted by two children, a little boy and a little girl.

The young boy greeted his father as he stuttered, "Welcome home, father."

The man sighed and kneeled to the siblings' heights, he placed a hand on his son's head, "Don't be too formal. You can still call me dad."

The boy smiled at him but his smile faded when his little sister whimpered in fear. The little girl had big tears in her blue eyes that were threatening to fall.

The children's father tried to comfort her but she wailed, "Go away! You're a monster!"

She broke free from her brother's hand and ran away to her room in tears. The look on the man's face was unreadable, but the boy knew that his father was heartbroken. The boy placed his small hands on his father's shoulders as he smiled,

"It's okay, dad. Setsuna will be okay. I'll talk to her."

The man looked to his son endearingly, "Thank you, Junji. But I'll talk to her on my own. You should rest, you've been waiting for me since morning, haven't you?"

The boy, Junji, nodded his head. But before he left, he told his father what happened when the man was away, "Dad, Ramuda-san came again. He… Told Setsuna that you kill people. That's why she acted that way."

Jakurai's blue eyes widened in anger. That pink head would do anything to harm his family. He had put his adoptive son into a coma after using the true hypnosis mic on him. Now he's coming after his own children.

After putting Junji to bed, he went to his daughter's room. He heard sobs and whimpers coming from her room. Jakurai opened the door to her room and saw her laying down on her stomach as she cried into her pillow.

Jakurai took silent steps towards his daughter and sat on her bed. Setsuna turned around and saw her father. Once again, she started crying.

"Go away!"

The man took her into his arms. Her small hits on his chest didn't make him budge. Jakurai held his daughter tightly in his arms, a hand on the back of her head as he whispered comforting words and apology.

"I'm sorry, darling. I didn't mean to scare you. Please forgive me."

Setsuna's cries slowly stopped and she finally took a glance at her father. His handsome face framed by his long hair, tiredness and exhaustion was visible. The five year old child finally wrapped her small arms around him,

"I'm sorry, papa…"

Setsuna started crying again, this time, relief that it was indeed her father. She cried herself to sleep, but the grip on Jakurai's uniform was still tight. The man’s mind was filled with anger, he wanted to get back at Ramuda but he knew if he acted recklessly, Chuuouku would take advantage and take his little girl away.

-timeskip, 2 years later (anime canon time)-

Jakurai, now thirty-five years old, was busy as ever. The number of patients to treat, surgeries to attend to, reports and others. It took most of his time away from his children. Despite this, he had met an interesting duo, Hifumi and Doppo.

The trio then formed Matenrou upon the announcement of the rap battle. Besides, the duo helped him look after his children. Hifumi would be the one picking them up from school, Doppo would accompany them until Jakurai comes to bring them home.

But today, a little surprise approached him at work. Two young children, ages ten and seven years old, were peeking through his office door.

The doctor smiled and gestured to them to enter, “Come in, Junji, Setsuna.”

The siblings went inside and sat on the chairs provided. Jakurai kneeled to look into their eyes. With a warm smile on his face, he asked, “What brings the two of you here? Does Hifumi-kun know that you’re here?”

“Setsuna isn’t feeling well, so Rosho-sensei brought us here. The school doctor isn’t around for a few days so he had no choice. Hifumi-san knew about this too.” Junji explained.

Jakurai nodded and didn’t waste any time and started to check on his daughter. The little girl was relieved that the nurses actually recognised her and her brother. And they were pretty much lucky that the man was actually on his break.

“Hmm… another cold…” Jakurai frowned. He felt frustrated that he didn’t notice it earlier. “I’m sorry for not noticing it earlier, dear.” He placed a warm hand on her head.

Setsuna catches colds easily because of stress and loneliness. Despite her brother always being there for her, she still craves her father’s presence. Even as a young child, she still tries to understand why papa isn’t always at home.

The little girl shook her head, “It’s okay, papa. I didn’t want to disturb you…”

Jakurai sighed and pulled his children into his arms, “Don’t you both ever say that. You both were never a bother to me. I promised your mother that I’ll always protect you.”

The children snuggled into their father’s arms, giving him the answer that they were happy. A moment later, Jakurai decided to let Setsuna rest at home for three days and he himself decided to take the days off to take care of her.

-timeskip-

“But doctor! We need your help!” another doctor begged Jakurai not to take leave from work.

“My daughter needs someone to take care of her. I can’t have my son to do so,” The long haired doctor stated firmly.

His colleague knew that he couldn’t win against him so he just turned away. Jakurai then picked up Setsuna in his arms and held Junji’s hand, “Let’s go home.”

The nurses surrounding the hallway cooed at the doctor with his children. Jakurai was listening happily to his son as the boy told him about what he did in school. Setsuna remained quiet but she smiled as she enjoyed listening to her brother talking.

At home, the family of three spent the day together after some time. Jakurai had his children attached to his sides as usual when Setsuna asked him a question he had expected to come,

“Papa, how did you and mama meet?”

The man smiled and he recalled the nostalgic memory. His wife was his childhood friend, along with Hitoya. The trio stuck together from elementary to high school when they decided to go on their separate ways to pursue their favored majors.

Jakurai and his late wife became a couple when he was in his freshman year in university, and she was a third year high school student. His dear wife was a year younger than him and Hitoya. It was his best friend that pressured him into confessing to her.

“Come on, man! You’d better go after her! What if someone else takes her away?” Hitoya pressured.

Jakurai sighed and avoided his best friend for the day. The next day, he confessed to his then girlfriend. It indeed surprised his best friend, but nonetheless the lawyer student was happy for them.

Little the new couple knew, their parents had already arranged marriage for the two of them to get married in the near future.

During the family meetings with both the Jinguji and Yae families, the couple were indeed surprised by this decision. Jakurai, being the direct person he is, revealed to the families that they had been together for a few months. This made their families relieved and the couple married with love in their hearts.

Soon after, the two got married. Jakurai was twenty-four and his late wife was twenty-three. Hitoya was in deep tears upon seeing his friends getting married, his then fiancee had to comfort him while congratulating the newly wed couple.

Jakurai and his wife had a lovely marriage. She was understanding of his role as a war doctor, an assassin, and a soldier. She was supportive of his decisions of being a regular doctor after the war.

After two years of marriage, Jakurai’s wife surprised him with her pregnancy with their first child. Excitement and happiness couldn’t be hidden in his eyes. He hugged and thanked his wife for giving him the best gift in his life.

Being an assassin was heavy for him. With having a child and repenting from his deeds by helping people, he hoped for the best for his unborn child.

“I was happy. Very happy, when I got to know that I’m having my own children. Your mother was the happiest. On the days when the two of you came to this world, your mother didn’t want to let you go. She held you both in her arms, whispering how much she loves you.” Jakurai recalled the days of both Junji’s and Setsuna’s arrival.

“I love you, my boy.” “I love you, my baby girl.”

“Mama loves you both so much.”

The words he recalled made him feel even more nostalgic. The smiles on his wife’s and children’s faces. Jakurai held the siblings closer to him. He promised his wife to always be by their sides, to protect them from harm. From Ramuda.

‘Dearest wife, my promise to you will never break. You left me with two irreplaceable gifts, our treasures made from our love.

Don’t worry, they’re well and protected. They’ve grown up so much, I’m sure you’ll be proud of them. Keep watching them from above, my love.’ Jakurai thought to himself.

‘To my dear children, always know that papa loves you both so much.’ He looked down at them. They were peacefully asleep in his arms. The man placed a kiss on their heads and held them close.

Dearest (Part 2)

A/N: Continuation from the first part.

Pairing: Jakurai x wife!reader, Jakurai x daughter!OC (familial love)

TW: abuse, descriptions of depression. Please read at your own discretion.

While they were chatting away about their days, Jakurai had noticed the sullen look on his daughter’s face ever since he arrived home. He slowly brought up the topic,

“So, Mai, which supermarket did you go to today? The usual one always has the ingredients sold out quickly.”

Mai looked up to him and said, “Ah, it’s the one near Hifumi-san’s apartment.”

It went silent for a bit, until Mai spoke up, “Actually… I saw that woman while on my way home.”

Both you and Jakurai went speechless. That vile woman was the cause of Mai’s breakdown and trust issues. Mai told the two of you what happened. You both listened intently, it was amazing how she doesn’t cry while explaining. Normally she would as that woman had inflicted childhood trauma onto her.

“So you saw her and couldn’t contain your anger? Did she say anything to you?” Jakurai asked. He had a serious look on his face. He had always been weary of his dear daughter meeting his ex-wife. He never wanted them to meet again.

“I hit her. I made that child cry.” Mai’s voice started to quiver. She then looked up to both of you. Her blue eyes were filled with anger and tears forming. Her smile made you shiver, you had never seen your daughter like this.

“Papa~” Jakurai remained composed, he knew she was breaking down. What she says next would shock him, “I want to end her. I want to make sure she suffers. I-”

“Stop it, Jinguji Mai!” Jakurai’s voice boomed inside the room. Mai went silent. Her tears finally fell and she realised what she had said. She looked at you and apologised, Mai never wanted you to see her like that.

You sighed and went over to her side, “ It’s okay, dear. Cry it out, let it out. I’m here.”

You allowed Mai to rest her head on your shoulder. Her tears stain your shirt. Your (e/c) travelled to look at your husband. As you’ve expected, he had an unreadable expression on his face, but you knew that he was angry.

Angry at what? Who knows…

-the next day-

Jakurai had a few days off after two months of working non-stop. Both you and your husband were just spending your day together as Mai went out with Hitoya’s daughter.

“Honey, what if Mai meets her again? I’m sure that woman won’t let it slide.” You started. The thought had worried you since last night.

You saw your husband sighed. You knew that he was worried. Who wouldn’t be though. Before he could speak, the said woman appeared. Greeting both you and Jakurai with a sickeningly sweet voice,

“Hello there, Jakurai.” She then glanced at you with an evil look, “And Miss (y/n)...”

Without waiting for an answer, she sat on the empty seat. Jakurai took a sip of his coffee and asked the woman, “Why are you here? Do you not have any shame?”

“Ah, forgive me dear ex-husband.” Venom in her voice spat. “But I’m just here to talk to you about our beautiful daughter.”

“I believe she’s mine. Never yours.” Jakurai spat back at her. He then gave you a look that shows that he’ll handle it. You obeyed his gestures and stayed silent while you observed them.

You saw that woman gritted her teeth. ‘Ah, hell’s gotten loose. Now where’s the popcorn when I need it?’ You thought, amused by the woman’s actions.

You remembered what she had said to you when she picked up the thirteen year old Mai very late at school,

“She could’ve just gone home alone. Isn’t she a teenager now?” That woman then looked at poor Mai and pulled her long hair, “You just fucking wasted my time. You have legs don’t you? Just go home alone! You-”

“Stop it! Mai isn’t wrong. It was raining heavily earlier and she had no umbrella with her.” You tried to reason with her by giving out lies.

Mai never wanted to go home. She had contacted her father to pick her up, but he had an important surgery to perform on. Hifumi and Doppo were out of the country that day.

‘At that point of time, Mai had told me everything. A young girl like her doesn’t deserve this treatment.’ You thought as you listened to the former couple.

“I gave bir-” “Don’t you dare give me that excuse.” Jakurai cut her off.

“You inflicted childhood trauma into her, you tortured her by starving her. You tortured her with every single thing you could think of. Of course she would get angry when she saw you with your new child.” Jakurai explained bluntly.

“But she doesn’t have to do that in public!” She raised her voice.

“You made her sit outside the house in sheer coldness. I’ll have you know that when I found her, she was close to death. Do you really call that as ‘love’?”

The woman went silent. Before she could speak, Jakurai continued his words that contain poison,

“If you want her to forgive you, how about you apologise to her for the past fifteen years of her life that you have shattered? Though, I doubt she’ll forgive you.” He then gave her a murderous look. The look you recognised when he was an assassin back then,

“Hurt my daughter, You will pay.”

The tall man then stood up and gave you his hand, “Come, let’s go.”

You smiled and held his hand. You turned and saw the woman had a terrified look on his face. Like your husband, you gave her a murderous look,

“A child deserves a parent. But not all parents deserve a child. Don’t come near my little girl again, bitch.”

She looked like she wanted to reiterate but when she met your (e/c) eyes, she stopped.

After leaving the cafe, Jakurai insisted on eating out for dinner. He looked down on his watch and saw that it was almost dinner time, “You should call Mai to come and eat dinner with us. She deserves a treat.”

You chuckled and nodded, “Let’s bring her to that yakiniku restaurant that she loves.”

You then called her to meet up at her favorite restaurant. You could hear the excitement in her voice as she asked her best friend,

“Do you wanna come along?”

“No, it’s okay. If I come along, my dad would be going after your dad. You know, that usual friendly banter.” Hitoya’s daughter sighed.

You chuckled again when you saw the look of displeasure on your husband’s face at the mention of Hitoya.

“We’ll see you there, dear.” You ended the call.

-at home-

It was fortunate that the restaurant wasn’t crowded. You and Jakurai were happy enough at the look of content on your daughter’s face. After washing up, the three of you huddled on the couch while watching a movie on the television.

Mai sat on Jakurai’s lap, a habit she had ever since she was younger. It wasn’t always she gets to cuddle with her father. Let’s just say, her birth mother was possessive.

You understood her needs of wanting comfort from him. She does the same with you, but Mai would rest her head on your lap as you clean her ears or brush her hair.

You looked at her sleeping form on your husband’s lap. You reached out and pushed her bangs aside, “How could someone neglect a beautiful child like her?”

Jakurai’s attention was now on you, “What did you say?”

You looked up at him and shook your head, “I’ve seen and watched her grow up in school. Mai was very introverted and was scared of people. The only teachers she would talk to were Rosho and I. If it’s her friends, then it would only be Hitoya’s daughter. She would do the talking, Mai would only gesture.

Honestly, I thought she was mute. Mai never talks in class. Her friend would describe her voice but I was very happy when I first heard her voice.”

You leaned your head on Jakurai’s shoulder and continued, “Everyday Mai would cry when it was time to go home. But that everyday turned less and less. That was when I noticed that she went numb. There was no light in her eyes.”

Mai’s face was peaceful as she rested in her father’s arms. Your eyes showed empathy for her, “I knew that something was wrong at home. Rosho and I did everything we could to protect her. Hifumi and Doppo as well whenever one of them would come and pick her up. That woman would accuse them of being kidnappers.

She said nasty things to your friends in front of Mai. No matter what I did to try to protect Mai, she was already tainted with poison.”

You gripped Jakurai’s hand tight, “I’m sorry, Jakurai. I couldn’t protect her well back then. I was just her teacher.” You could feel your own tears finally fall down to your cheeks. “Jakurai, I was very happy when she started to call me ‘mom’ outside school grounds. I was very happy that she openly told me of her feelings, I was even happier to see that genuine smile on her face whenever she was told that she did well.”

Jakurai listened to your words. It made him hold onto Mai tighter. When he was still with his ex-wife, he had noticed earlier on that after Mai’s birth, she was underfed. Mai’s cries every night made him scared that one day he would never be able to see her again whenever he had night shifts.

She was being cared for by Hitoya's family for a while as Jakurai already had suspicions towards that woman. He regretted letting his dear daughter suffer at home. There were even days she was left alone at home without his knowledge.

He looked down at her in his arms. You could see that his eyes showed regret and self-loath. You placed a hand on his cheek, making him look at you in the eyes. You smiled, “Don’t blame yourself, honey. She’s happy now. All you need to do is just to be by her side. She is our treasure, right?”

Jakurai placed his hand on top of yours that was on his cheek. He nodded in agreement,

“She is.”

His mind wandered as he recalled during the days when Mai was younger. He never once heard her complain nor ask why her birth mother never smiled at her.

“Because papa is always with me~” “Because papa would always play with me~”

“Because I know that papa loves me~”

Those were the few words he could recall. Whenever Mai was asked which parent she loves most, she would pick him over her birth mother. At home, she would be neglected by that woman. But he would always come to feed her, tell her that she was loved.

‘But that wasn’t enough…

I’m sorry, Mai…’

‘I promise that I’ll always protect you, my dear.’

Hypnosis Mic (Genshin AU)

I am back once again, with my Genshin AUs of different animes. I've done for Mr Love, Idolish7, Free and Haikyuu.

First off, we have our main 4 teams.

~~~~~

~Buster Bros~

Yamada Ichirou Vision: Pyro Weapon: Sword/Claymore Affiliation: Watatsumi Island, Inazuma

Yamada Jirou Vision: Hydro/Cryo Weapon: Sword/Polearm Affiliation: Watatsumi Island, Inazuma

Yamada Saburou Vision: Anemo Weapon: Catalyst Affiliation: Watatsumi Island, Inazuma

The brothers would definitely be in Inazuma. They would be the trio that Gorou trusts most, especially Saburou, who tends to get valuable informations from the Tenryou Commission. Jirou would be assisting in the front lines with Ichirou. The trio would also use their hypnosis mics to boost their attacks.

Let's admit it, Saburou would be besties with Heizou after the ruckus of the Sakoku Decree. Ichirou would be chilling around with Tohma and Yoimiya while Jirou would hang around with Taroumaru and the Tanukis.

~Mad Trigger Crew~

Aohitsugi Samatoki Vision: Cryo/Electro Weapon: Sword/Claymore Affiliation: Kanjou Commission (former), Ronin

He would formerly serve the Kanjou Commissioner until he betrayed them during the Sakoku Decree. Currently a ronin, travelling around Teyvat with his new buddies that he met along his journey with Kazuha.

Samatoki would meet Kazuha during the clash of Tenryou and the Rebellions. With Kazuha's encouragement, he agreed to come along to start on his new journey to reunite with his sister.

They did reunite tho! With the help of a certain miss fox.

Iruma Jyuto Vision: Pyro Weapon: Sword Affiliation: Liyue Qixing

He would be one of the leaders for the Liyue Qixing as well as being the Tianquan's bodyguard. By the orders of Ningguang, he travels to other nations to inquire business with them. That was when he meets Samatoki and Riou.

Like in the anime, the three of them would help one another which soon gains trust from their respective affiliations.

Riou Mason Busujima Vision: Geo Weapon: Claymore Affiliation: Knights of Favonius, Mondstadt

He's be one of the captains that's being stationed at the outskirts of Mondstadt city. The days when he would return to the city, he would be at the tavern, where Hifumi currently works at.

The two of them would be friends and would assist one another, occasionally Diluc. They would also somehow be Diluc's eyes and ears at various nations they'd drop by. It was when Riou would be at Inazuma where he meets Samatoki and Jyuto.

Like the brothers, the trio would use their hypnosis mic to boost their attacks.

~Fling Posse~

Amemura Ramuda Vision: Dendro/Anemo Weapon: Catalyst Affiliation: Fontaine

Ramuda would a popular designer/inventor from Fontaine. He would travel all around Teyvat to promote his creations. Ranging from clothes he designs to some weird outfit maker.

He would be travelling around Liyue where he meets Dice. The young man got interested by Ramuda's creations. After a bit of persuasion, Dice joined Ramuda to Sumeru.

It was at Sumeru and Inazuma where Ramuda's creations got accepted and promoted well.

No denies that Ramuda's outfit maker machine and blueprints have definitely got stolen by Treasure Hoarders and other enemies. He would defeat them easily and would taunt and provoke them like how he does to piss of Jakurai.

Yumeno Gentaro Vision: Hydro Weapon: Catalyst Affiliation: Sumeru

Wandering author from Sumeru. He was returning home where he would meet Dice and Ramuda. The two were lost and Gentaro was not so nice enough to lead them to the wrong path.

Truthfully, he did lead them to the entrance of Sumeru but left them at nearby the statue.

"Sumeru city is east from this statue," When it was actually the north. Cheeky liar. The duo would eventually confront him at Sumeru city. Of course, with Rap battle. Gentaro would use his vision combined with his raps.

Arisugawa Dice Vision: Geo Weapon: Claymore Affiliation: Liyue

This little shit would be a gambling buddy with Beidou. He'd be part of her Crux ship alliance and would be the first few friends that Kazuha made. He meets Samatoki there, but are just acquaintances.

He would meet Itto during his trip to Inazuma with Ramuda. Itto and Dice? Besties for sure. Though Dice is more rational than Itto and would help Shinobu to clear up the Arataki Gang messes.

Dice and Itto would definitely have a friendly rap battle and would teach his new friend how to use the hypnosis mic and how to combine the powers of the vision with his lyrics.

~Matenrou~

Jinguji Jakurai Vision: Electro Weapon: Polearm Affiliation: Yashiro Commission, Inazuma

He'd kinda be Ayato and Ayaka's mentor in a way? Teaching them healing techniques and may be their parents' right hand man. Jakurai may be one of the masterminds within the Yashiro Commissions and would often participate with the Shuumatsuban's missions when neccessary.

Considering he was wanted in the canon anime, he may be a wanted man as well by the Tenryou Commission and Shogun herself. This hints that Jakurai may be one of the strongest vision bearer in terms of skills and abilities.

He'd meet with the besties when they happen to visit Inazuma via The Crux with the help of Beidou and her gangs. With Ayato's permission, he took them in silently.

Kannonzaka Doppo Vision: Pyro Weapon: Sword Affiliation: Mondstadt (former), Liyue Qixing

He was transferred to work with the Liyue Qixing because of his diligence in his work field. It was hard for him because of culture shock and how hectic work life is like in Liyue.

Doppo was trained by Ganyu and Keqing. Probably Ganyu's exhausted buddy. Hifumi brightens his day by dropping by at Liyue Harbor. One day Hifumi wanted to bring Doppo on a trip which turns out bad and chaotic, but that was the first time Beidou and Kazuha saw how crazy and cracked Doppo can be when he fights with both his sword and his hypnosis mic.

Izanami Hifumi Vision: Anemo Weapon: Polearm Affiliation: Angel's Share, Mondstadt

Doppo's childhood bestie. Brought Doppo to Inazuma only to get into the chaos there. He definitely works for Diluc and is also his sidekick who travels around Teyvat.

He may annoy Diluc with his antics but Hifumi means well.

When he and Doppo got caught into the Inazuma Chaos, they were taken in by Jakurai by Kazuha's suggestions. From there the trio worked together just like how they do in the anime canon.

New best friend in Inazuma: Thoma for sure.

ngl I notice that whenever I got bored or got lack of content, I'd do these headcanons. But it's fun to see other anime in Genshin Universe. I think I'd do what they're like in Honkai universe...

Dearest (Part 1)

A/N: my first hypmic fic after months of contemplating if I should write about them. Have a Jakurai fic for some angsty fluffers.

Pairings: Jakurai x fem!reader

It was late at night when Jakurai finished his work at the hospital. The man leaned back on his chair, sighing. He wondered about you, his dear wife and his dear daughter. The man's thoughts suddenly stopped at a recollection where you voiced out your concerns about his daughter.

His beloved little girl was from his first marriage. He caught his ex-wife having an affair with another man. They had tons of arguments, which brought the little girl being very distant to her parents and closer to Jakurai's friends. Particularly Hifumi and Doppo.

It took him about a month or two to finally finalise his decision to divorce the woman. Hifumi and Doppo questioned him why he had to take so long to decide. Jakurai explained to them that he had to think about his little girl. Her future, who she would stay with, and to protect her from the vile woman.

With the help of Hitoya, Jakurai managed to gain custody of his daughter. Much to the girl's relief, that doesn't mean she was haunted by her biological mother's cruelty towards her.

Her teacher, Rosho, had called Jakurai about her situation at school. Simply said, the doctor was shocked hearing that his daughter would often be picked up last, or never at all. Rosho understood Jakurai's work field, he was a very busy man. Handling different types of people and was always needed everywhere.

Rosho admitted to him that he had argued with his ex-wife about the girl's safety.

"She's nothing but a nuisance!" Was what she said to the teacher.

The girl heard the whole argument. It was then her grades dropped drastically. Jakurai really tried to be there for her. There were even times where he would ask Hifumi to pick her up and send her to his office.

At home, his ex would sweet talk with him that she'll be more responsible and fetch their daughter. Jakurai was hesitant, but decided to give her another chance.

He was wrong.

One day, he came home to his daughter sitting outside of the two storey house. It was winter. She had a thin jacket around her.

"Mai!" He called out to her.

The girl's blue eyes looked up to meet her father's. Tears finally fell, she couldn't move much from being in the position for more than five minutes. Jakurai took off his coat and wrapped her in it.

Holding Mai in his arms, he was greeted with his wife and another man. His blue eyes raged with anger.

"She's fifteen! She can take care of herself!!"

"That doesn't mean that you can torture her! She could've died!"

"Then let her die! I don't need a problematic child!"

"Get out of the house and never return, you imbecile!"

The final roar from Jakurai shocked the woman. The outsider was afraid to move, seeing how huge the older man was from himself. He timidly pulled the vile woman out of the house.

After the two left, Jakurai got onto his knees and hugged his daughter tightly. He apologised to her profusely. He warmed her up with his body heat before proceeding to the living room where the heater was at.

Back to the present time, Jakurai felt the pain in his heart, seeing his daughter almost freezing to death. After the fight at the court, he decided to take a month of leave to spend time with Mai.

A few months later, Rosho introduced you to Jakurai. You were Mai's homeroom teacher. You had never gotten the chance to meet the doctor during the conferences with parents. But boy you were surprised at how good looking the doctor is.

You were personally close with Mai, listening to her problems, being a comfort for her, naturally taking the role as her mother at school. She'd tell you so many things, including what her birth mother did to her.

You knew your place as an outsider, thus only able to spit venom at your now husband's ex whenever she would talk shit about Mai.

Peace was only temporary until Mai, now eighteen, unexpectedly met her birth mother. It was harsh. Her mother had another child with the man she cheated with.

Hatred and anger boiled in her heart and mind. She was unable to think straight, thus slapping her own mother in public.

"You hated me, you despised me, yet you had another child with that despicable man! How dare you abandon me! I hate you, you imbecile!!"

She continued cursing at the woman. Not bothering about the crying child. She looked at the toddler, giving them a disgusted look.

Before the woman could say anything, Mai ran away in tears.

She rushed into her room, not greeting you with hugs like she would usually do. You were concerned for her, but decided to give her some time to cool down.

About an hour, you decided to cook dinner, making her favorite curry rice. You made it with the amount of spice she loves. Even making her favorite hot chamomile tea with honey to soothe her heart.

"Mom..?" You heard her voice. You turned around and saw Mai, she had freshened up, looking a little bit better.

You smiled at her and ushered her to the kitchen, "come, sit down. I made your favorite for today. Would you be a darling and call your father if he'll be home tonight?"

Mai nodded and took out her phone to ring her father. After three rings, he answered, "hello? What's wrong, honey? Do you need anything?"

"Nothing, but will you be home soon?" She asked.

"I'll be home in five minutes, dear."

You saw Mai's smile. It brought you a little comfort by seeing her smile.

"Alright. Take care, dad."

You sat the big bowl of curry and the rice cooker on the tray beside the dining table. You took a seat in front of her, "Shall we wait for him?"

Mai nodded. You thought that it was okay to ask her about her day at school first, her mood can be discussed when her father got home.

"So, how was school? Was Rosho a good teacher today?" You giggled when you brought up your former colleague.

Mai happily told you about her day at school, and that fellow teachers had asked her about your well being. You had married Jakurai a year ago after Mai's pestering. She begged you to be her mother, and she begged Jakurai to allow her to be your mother.

Such a coincidence, Jakurai had observed how you treated his daughter. You gave her the love she yearned for from a mother ever since she was an elementary school student. With that, he proposed to get to know you better and introduced you to his family and friends just as you do to him as well.

The wedding went smoothly, and you decided to resign as a teacher to start on your sole business. The two of you talked happily, only noticing the doctor's presence when he cleared his throat.

Mai turned around and ran to give her father a tight hug, "welcome home, dad! I missed you."

Jakurai wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her tightly, "I'm home. I missed you too, dear."

You greeted him with a kiss on the cheek and pulled him to sit at the dining table. Both you and Mai listened to Jakurai's days at work and him listening to both of your days.

Laughter and happiness was the current vibe, until Mai brought up about her encounter with her mother….

Double Mini Me

I'm bored at work. So here's a one shot of Albert's mini mes.

Genre: fluff Pairings: Albert x wifey! Reader ~~~

You were relaxing on the couch with your husband. Albert was reading the newspaper with a glass of wine in his hand. A sudden thought popped in your mind, you then looked up to your husband,

"Hey..."

Albert looked down towards you with an eyebrow raised, "Did you realise... our boys resembles you more than me...?"

The man folded his newspaper and placed his glass down. He then leaned back on the couch and wrapped an arm around you. Albert had a smirk on his face. Another thought popped, 'How on earth are you still good looking in your 30s?!'

'I must be a lucky girl!'

Albert watched your movements, your face had been turning red little by little which made the man chuckle. "I wonder? But the boys did take after your personality. Isn't that enough?"

That made you burst,

"NO!"

Albert was taken aback by your sudden burst. You had been moody lately, rather... worse than your pregnancy with Alfred and Andrew. You had tears in your eyes which made him smile again. He recalled how much you've always wanted a child to look like you and had his personality. But instead, you got two handsome boys but with your personality. Maybe... more like a mix with Albert's.

When you have a handsome husband, with great personality, of course you and him would raise wonderful kids.

"You.... You...!! You're too handsome! That's why our boys are handsome!!" You cried.

Albert was really trying to hold his laughter. He then opened his arms, inviting you for a hug. You couldn't handle your overwhelming feelings and returned into his arms.

"Come on in, Alfred, Andrew. Give your mummy some love," Albert called out for his boys.

The twin boys hurried to their parents side and climbed on the couch. They snuggled into your arms like how kittens would cuddle their mums.

"Mummy, mummy, do you think I'm handsome?" Alfred, the older twin asked. His emerald green eyes were sparkly, expecting an answer from you.

"Mummy, mummy, am I loveable? Will I have girls to like me?" Andrew, the younger one chirped.

You couldn't help but to hug your sons tightly, "My boys are handsome, lovely and wonderful! But don't use your looks just for girls! Be handsome, humble and kind!"

The boys awed at your words, "So we should be like daddy?" They chirped.

"Yes, like daddy." You smiled.

Albert watched your interactions with the boys with eyes filled with love and endearment. After reuniting with them upon being released from the prison, their bond and quickness to accept him back made him realise how beautiful life is. How thankful he should be after marrying a wonderful wife like you.

Albert tightened his hold on you and whispered in your ear,

"I love you so much, my love."

Nao has gotten super busy with his schedules for university and his part time job, so you talked about your insecurities to his bestfriend, Natsuya.

Another day of waking up in the bed alone. You sighed. Ever since Nao was accepted to his new part time job nearby your shared apartment, he got extremely busy.

Always leaving you alone at home, rarely walking or driving you to your university. Seldom eating breakfast and dinner with you, only returning home after you've slept.

As days turned to weeks, slowly became months, you felt distant and unsure whether he still loves you or not. After contemplating your options, you decided to contact his and your close friend, Natsuya.

He agreed to meet up with you at Asahi's sister's cafe for dinner. Upon meeting you, he knew he's gonna end up being the meditator of the relationship. The moment you started ranting out to him, he listened intently.

Natsuya couldn't help but ask, "Do you really doubt Nao? He's a keeper, although he's busy and may forget his promises, doesn't he always get back with double or triple of what you want?"

That made you quiet. You thought back whenever you spend your time with Nao. The grey haired man had always gotten what you always wanted, be it cheap or pricey. Sometimes even the things you're not really that interested in.

He neither does it to please and keep you entertained. He does it out of love and appreciation, and you? Maybe you're just taking him for granted.

You looked down to your lap, mixed feelings build up in your heart,

"Then... What should I do?"

After listening to Natsuya's advices, you went out to the grocery store to get the ingredients on the next day. As you were walking your way to your car, you ran into Ikuya and Hiyori.

"(y/n), you're out buying groceries?" Ikuya asked, looking at your full hands.

You nodded and grin, "I'm making a special dinner for Nao! He's been working super hard lately, so I guess I should prepare something great for him."

Hiyori could see your hands trembling, it was going to be about a five minute walk to your car as it was crowded on that day. He pointed to the bags in your hands, "Would you like some help?"

The two boys helped you carry the items to your car. As they were about to leave, you asked them, "Are you guys heading back to the campus?"

"Yeah, we have projects and assignments to complete." Ikuya shrugged. You could see how tired the young man is.

Swimming about 5 times a week, it was hard. You recalled observing how your brother would occasionally complain about back and shoulder pain from swimming. Especially when he first started swimming back when he was a first year in high school.

You gave the young men a smile and offered them a ride. They agreed and gave you their thanks. After sending them off to their dorms, you decided to stop for a short while to give Nao a call.

"Hello, (y/n)? Is there anything you need?" Nao asked, concern spotted in his tone.

You smiled upon hearing his voice, before you could ask him, you heard a woman's voice, "Nao-kun, who's that?"

"Ah, my girlfriend. Please give me a moment to talk to her," The man said politely.

Despite the stern tone in his voice when talking to the unknown woman, you felt jealousy and sadness in your heart. Nevertheless, you asked him anyway, "What time will you be home? I'm making dinner today."

"Ah, don't worry about dinner, I'm eating out with Makoto and his friends."

You bit on your bottom lip, but answered him anyway, "Okay then. I'll see you at home. Stay safe, Nao. Tell Makoto and his friends I said Hello."

Before Nao could answer, you had already hang up. On his side, he sighed. He could hear sadness in your voice. He already felt bad for not spending time with you the past few months. He turned to look at his female colleague, "Well then, I'll make my leave now. Thank you for the suggestion today."

At Asahi's sister's cafe, his juniors had the look of concern on their faces. Makoto was the first one to ask Nao, "Senpai, did Ikuya tell you anything about (y/n)?"

That caught the grey head's attention, "What about her?"

"Ikuya and Toono ran into her earlier at the grocery store. She sent them back to their dorms too. Ikuya said that she looks tired lately and that she had been planning something for you."

Asahi's sister, Akane came by to serve their drinks. She then said to Nao, "She came here with Natsuya-kun a few days ago. It seems that she was troubled with your relationship with her. Did something happen between the two of you?"

Nao finally understood. Without any hesitation, he turned to his juniors, "Sorry guys, let's eat dinner next week."

He also gave Akane an apologetic look, "I apologize, can you cancel my order? I'll come by again with (y/n) next time."

"No, no. It's fine. Go fix your relationship with her. Now shoo." Akane shooed him away.

Back home, you were on the phone with your little brother, Rei. You weren't the person who would cry on every single ping of jealousy. You'd talk to him for comfort instead,

"Rei, what do you think? I feel uncomfortable that he's with another woman."

"Ehh... I'm no expert in love, but the best way is to talk to Serizawa-san. It may be hard, but you know it yourself, nee-san. Truth hurts, but it's better than getting lied."

He had a point there. He was right, in fact, you were the one who encouraged him to try out with the swim club in his school. Rei called you with pure excitement and bragged that he could finally swim all four strokes.

With the feeling of affirmation, you nodded, "Yeah, I'll give it a try. Thank you, Rei. I'll see you soon."

"Right, I'll let you know when I've reach Tokyo."

After hanging up, you released a deep sigh. You buried your head into your pillow and decided to have a good nap to ease your mind.

About an hour later, you were woken up by the wonderful aroma of your favorite spicy curry. You rubbed your drowsy eyes and walked out from your room to the kitchen. You saw Nao peacefully cooking.

You pouted, thinking that your plan to cook for him failed. Once again, you depended on him. You quietly sat on the dining table, watching him with a small smile. Even though you felt jealous, you still feel endless love for the man.

You dragged your feet towards him and wrapped your arms around his waist, "Nao~ Why did you cook? I was planning to make dinner today!" You whined and hid your face into his broad back.

You felt the vibration of his back from his chuckle, "You were jealous aren't you?"

"Eh? No~ I'm not! What makes you think so?"

"Makoto told me about it. You were at Akane's restaurant with Natsuya weren't you?" Nao inquired calmly. "Well, when I found out about that, I supposed I was jealous that you went out for dinner with my best friend."

You looked up to him in surprise, 'He was jealous? But he didn't tell me who or where did he go with that woman!' You thought. You were about to say something when he turned off the stove and turned around, wrapping his arms around you. Nao then whispered in your ear,

"If you're so desperate to know about my love for you, how about I show it in bed?" His voice was low and he had a soft smirk on his face.

You felt your cheeks went red and you were speechless by his words. You were even caught off guard again when he planted a surprise kiss onto your lips.
