Some wips I can actually post (not IZ related for once! Wow, who would've thought a storyboarder for an IZ project would do anything other than IZ, it's been so long)
Working on some OC stuff, wanted to start working on it as an actual comic sometime this lifetime. At some point, I might make a dedicated blog for it, idk.
Need to redo this one, since the pose is kinda wrong. Was making it during my slump, so it'll be nice to get fresh eyes on it.
Something for a game project, I fucking hate all of it, yes it is a jojo pose
I thought I lost this one for a good few weeks, I was so fucking sad. I think it's coming out decent though. I need to start on it again

I can relate to that, honestly. The thing I do to help with that feeling is to just take a little break from drawing and focus on something else you enjoy.
I'm in one of those stretches right now, where I'm getting burnout from not liking how my art is turning out (among several other things), and what I've done is found games to play and things to read to fill my time. When you're doing those things, not only are you getting enjoyment from it, but it can also help to enhance certain ideas/skills. Example of this, I guess, I have a comic idea that involves some fantasy elements (high fantasy/medium-low tech), and in my spare time, I've started to replay Wizard101. It's an old childhood guilty pleasure, but it has inspired me to start working on more of my story and redesigning my characters.
Besides taking a break, you can also go out of your comfort zone to try and work on that. I used to only draw super detailed pictures and would never really finish a ton of drawings. Over the summer of 2023, though, I joined a volunteer project doing storyboards (I had done a ton of studying before making my boards). This opportunity pushed me outside of my comfort zone and pushed me to work on areas that were lacking previously (stiffness and fluidity). You could try doing a similar thing, maybe with a Zine project, or start working on something for yourself :)
Overall, I hope everything goes well! Take it one day at a time :DDD
Im not sure why you hate your art style so much...
You're one of my favourite artists. Your Lamb and Narinder are my favourites. I love how you draw them, it's so expressive and nice and pretty and beautifulโ just so awesome. Your art really brings them to life. Your Zim and Dib are also my favourites!! I love your art style. It's simple and yet so perfect.
I dislike it because it feels so simple
There's not really anything super notable about it and I often look at other artists styles as 'man I wish I could draw like that' while the artwork doodles I do make are no where near matching what I have in my head. It's too soft and not anatomically correct and inconsistent to the point where people have commented that they see a difference in my art style since talking about wanting to change it, but I haven't changed anything in any way that I draw.
It's good for quick, scribbled comics for storyboarding because of how simple it is. Less detail = faster drawing and I can make the story board quick enough before it leaves my brain.
But for the past few years I've been doing more and more of those than anything else because it's kinda all I'm good at, just making storyboard and shitposts. It's seriously discouraged me from making full illustrations seriously because it just feels flat, the poses are not dynamic, the faces look like anime twinks or your generic Disney cartoon. Personally I think my style looks like the art kid that never got out of their 'how to draw anime' phase
None of my stuff has clean lines, faces are always look chibified or like I'm trying to mimic a Shonen, and backgrounds are completely out of the question; best I can do is scribbles. I just wish my art hit harder, with sharpness and less big eyes and an edgier, more stylistic kind of look
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm happy my art is enjoyed! I'm just not the one enjoying it right now
