Sonic’s Universe and the two world canon.

There are two “core” worlds. But multiple dimensions. First off the “Zones”; everything you see in the classic games, including Mania, Forces, and Lost World…. That’s all “Sonic’s World”, i.e Mobius. Everything you see in Sonic Adventure, Sonic Unleashed, and Sonic 06’. Those places are all the “Human World”, i.e. Earth. Then you have the side dimensions like Blaze’s world, that colourful place littered with warp rings to zones as seen in Sonic Mania’s animated intro and in general the “Special Zones”, etc. Now, lets talk about “Sonic’s Universe” as a whole. Regardless of which core world you are on, Sonic’s universe is no stranger to “warp rings” and or “warp zones”. Think of Warp rings as quite literally those giant golden rings that you see in the classic games. etc. Whereas the “warp zones” are simply like invisible passages or portals at designated areas. (*A example of what a warp zone is can be found in the “Sonic the Hedgehog - The Movie (1999) OVA”.) (*Either Warp Ring and or Warp Zone can be accessed and or used by anyone. Human or Mobian.) While Warp Rings are generally more exclusively in Sonic’s World. Warp Zones are literally in all worlds of Sonic’s universe. Its also important to realize that Sonic’s world and the Human world were once the same world, but due to reasons they separated into a sort of different dimensions. (*Refer to Sonic X when it is explained how the worlds once were one. Its a similar concept.) That said! This explains why “Angel Island” started out on the Human world (*Earth). And now mainly resides in Sonic’s world. (*Mobius) Not to mention, referring back to the “Warp Zones” as well as the fact that Angel Island is kept up by the Master Emerald, it has the ability to move between worlds.

Shadow the Hedgehog and the events of his backstory:

Remember! The worlds have never been exclusive to one another. Any human, or mobian can transverse the other’s world. This includes Gerald Robotnik, The Chao, and any other side character. To sum this segment up, its pretty straight forward how this one is explained. Now talking about the Chao more exclusively. Whether the Chao have been on both worlds since before the world divided or it being a case of the Chao simply migrated from one world and making home in the other.. (*Like many animals in real life do.) I will leave up to you to decide. Lastly lets talk about Classic Sonic, and what it means when he is referred to as “That other Sonic from another dimension”. The Classic Sonic you saw in Generations was the Classic Sonic from the classic games. Because of the events of Sonic Generations, Classic Sonic’s timeline changed going forward. If we talk about altering time it will often take one of three paths: 1.) Alternate timelines are created which run parallel to other past and present timelines. 2.) The future is erased and rewritten. (*Future characters have their member rewritten, and have no recollection of past timelines.) 3.) The future is erased and rewritten. (*All characters memories are rewritten except for the time traveller whom will retain all their memories but not the new timeline. Example: Logan at the end of Days of Future Past.) In Classic Sonic/Modern Sonic’s case, scenario #1 takes place. So that means Classic Sonic from Generations goes forward doing the events of Mania, and IS the same Classic Sonic in Forces. Whereas Modern Sonic’s own personal timeline has remained the same. He was Classic Sonic from the classic era, but didn’t alter path and didn’t experience the events of Mania. Therefore! While Classic Sonic and Modern Sonic are technically the same character in general, they are now two different Sonics as their timelines run parallel to one another in their own different/separate directions. (*Which further could be argued that if current Classic Sonic continues down his path, he could eventually become Boom Sonic instead of Modern. But this is just speculation of possibilities.) Hence why Classic Sonic is now referred to as “the Sonic from another dimension”, because his timeline no longer play out the same way as the Modern characters timeline does.

The bottomline:

It is 100% canon that Sonic’s world and the Human world are separate places. (*As stated/confirmed by Takashi Iizuka, Ian Flynn, and Aaron Webber.) But they are NOT closed off to one another. They exist parallel to each other in the same time but different dimensional space. And are continuously linked via Warp Rings and or Warp Zones. As for Classic Sonic, nearly all of his adventures are in his world, (*Pun intended.) only separated via time: “The Classic Era” vs “The Modern Era”.

Sonic fandom logic.

Sometimes i seriously wonder about our fandom..

We have prominent figures in our fandom who seem more like Sonic haters, or Fans of anything but Sonic, whom start up bandwagons which undermine and or perpetuate negativity regarding our favourite Blue Blur series.

Than comes this fandom itself. The fans who legit care, or love the series are so quiet. And the haters who really are questionably fans, seem to be the most vocal.

It’s so fucking cringe seeing our fanbase sometimes. (Most times.) Complaining or shitting on things that are so damn petty. “Omgawd! Infinite’s mask is a different colour..” “OMGAWD! Iconic stages return!!!” (Note: if that’s a bad thing refer to image above.) “OMGAWD! Sonic has a new power up!”

Like seriously.. “Fuck off.”

I recently saw a post who compared Mario to Sonic, coming off more as a Mario fanboy than a Sonic fan whatsoever. Basically stating, Mario does so much, but Sonic hasn’t or doesn’t?

“Everything Sonic has done is discontinued or at a stand still.” Well blue balls... Maybe it’s because with the Mario/Nintendo fandom, whenever Mario gets a new power up, fans are fucking stoked! They don’t even care about anything else, just that old Mario got a new power up.

Whereas when Sonic gets ANYTHING new, it’s bashed to shit by the so called “Sonic fans”. So how the flying fuck does Sega do anything or why would they want to make new sequels when the fandom itself are a bunch of ungrateful little cunts? Just some perspective/food for thought. It’s sad as fuck to see such a dope series have so many haters/trolls instead of legit fans. *Also any trollolos who think this post is just a fanboy complaining article: This whole post is likely talking about you, ya fucking cunt. ;)
