But this Frozer trailer-

Look, man. This trailer has been messing with my brain since I saw it. Mostly because ~Adrimi~ but also because I feel like it’s such a troll trailer? So here I am, breaking this down while I’m at work because I’m bored and I can.

Okay, so first thing we get when the trailer starts is this shit, so we know trolling is the #1 priority for ZAG. I mean, before even getting into the details, we know that when the reveal actually does happen, it’s not gonna be in a trailer. This is reminding me too much of Dark Owl, where we thought there was going to be a reveal but nothing happened. 

I think I definitely lean towards the ‘this is a dream sequence’ theory for what’s going on here. As many people have pointed out, Plagg doesn’t pop out when Adrien detransforms. 

There’s also the rushed, anti-climatic way the transformation happens that makes it seem like it’s not a scene that would actually make sense for one of the biggest plot points in the show. Also, because Thomas said the production order matters this season, we know that Frozer comes before Reverser and Anansi and considering the way nothing had changed in those eps, I’d think it’s safe to say this isn’t real.

However, I’ve seen a lot of people say this is Marinette’s dream and I really don’t think it is??? I know the main reason is that Plagg isn’t there and that if it was Adrien’s dream, he would have thought of Plagg but I think plot-wise it makes more sense that Adrien is the culprit here. My guess is that Adrien is imagining what would happen if he revealed himself to Ladybug and thinks that she’ll turn him down. I would not be surprised if we get ‘Ladybug’ rejecting him hardcore because this is probably just Adrien’s insecurities.

Next up, we get the blessed

And you know, I was so freaking happy when  I saw this. I mean this is just so tender and blerghhhhh. 

But honestly, now, I’m a little worried. And now we get to why I made this analysis in the first place. 

Because there are two clips we get from this scene. The above, and:

this beauty. And best case scenario, what we are getting here is Kagami comforting Adrien about his insecurities (or something else going on) and Adrien then giving Kagami the rose he had intended for Ladybug. 

However (and my heart dies here), I’m gonna refer back to that pesky production order again. Because we’ve seen 2 episodes that are ahead of Frozer in the official timeline - Reverser and Anansi. And in Anansi, we got Adrien saying “ Someday, I hope I'll find someone I can share everything with.”

Which means he’s probably not dating anyone. So while I’m desperately hoping for a good outcome, my brain is telling me that these scenes are likely reversed. I think Adrien tries to offer Kagami the rose, she’s shocked

she kindly rejects him, then she comforts him. Which is honestly super sad for me to think of but it’s the most logical conclusion my brain is drawing. And if we’re going by the same logic, I’m guessing this means Luka and Marinette may not get together either - again because of Anansi.
