Still in the thinking thoughts stage with the chłopomania story... The guys are more straightforward design wise because i am, as previously stated, shamelessly reskinning my existing ocs until they look distinct enough (main problems are forcing myself to stick to the facial hair on blue guy/to decide how exactly it should look since i have little experience drawing it and trying to make red guy accurate and not overindulging my design biases). The girls are harder because 1. They both have long dark braids so i cant rely on hair as much as i normally would, same for clothes although i certainly can get creative once i actually pick a time and place 2. I am designing green girl from scratch and significantly reimagining an existing oc for purple girl so there's more choices to make and most of all 3. I fell back on a lot of my favourite girldesign choices with green girl before adding purple girl to the story and ended up with a "well one of us has to change" situation. So now rather than distinguishing them from their original designs, like with the boys, it's about distinguishing them from each other. Anyway green girl is main character, purple girl is blue guy's sister and red guy is their family's farmhand

TEEHEE THANKS!! he IS my little doll... drawing him is kind of a delicate balance because i DO want a feminine edge to him (bc of his notably big pretty eyes/his generally being referred to as beautiful/his representing the foppish slightly dandyish dare i say metrosexual stereotype of the era/and most of all because of the common observation that straight women often find slightly fem guys attractive) but i dont wanna overshoot it and lose his masculine side either. so i'm glad to hear it resonates with ppl

anyway i thought about drawing barbie anatole -> i remembered the barbie movie rollerskating outfits -> remembered those slutty 80s rollerskating fits ppl drool over -> this
