I really love how you paint your lips :D Any tips?

here’s a small painting tutorial/step by step! My main advice is so not paint the edges of the lips super dark/sharp unless your character is wearing makeup, or else it might look a bit cartoony (unless that’s what you’re going for!).

Can you explain your full process for painting a characters. From base color to finish. Like I was watching one of your highlights on twitch from May 27 and was so confused. I'm new to digital painting. I just got Photoshop.

Here you go! Sketch > make a layer underneath for colors + shading > merge > paint over (there’s usually several hours of this) > color filters

Typically when people are taught how to draw humans, they’ll say somewhere around 7-8 heads tall for the average adult. I find 8 heads to be a lot easier, since you just take the measurement from head to crotch, and use that for how long the legs should be (crotch to ankle/heel). 

Additionally, this is very much an average estimate, so don’t feel weird about fudging around the numbers! A difference in weight distribution, muscle mass, ethnicity, general body build, genetics, and daily routine will change all of these numbers to some degree, but I hoped this helped out in any case!

How exactly do you draw the shape of the head? I have problems with that.

As you can see in my examples, I tended to taper the front of the face a bit to account for the angles of the zygomatic region (your cheekbones and the arch that connects it back to the skull/cranium!)

I made up this method a while back when I was still learning basic foundations for art n stuff, hope this helps you! Of course, the head shape changes a lot depending on ethnicity, body make up, etc. but it’s still based on the shape of the skull!

I’ve been loving the latest chapters of Spy x Family. I’m not sure what colour Anyas dress is meant to be, but I decided to go with black to match Yor lol. I love Anya with her hair in buns - she looks adorable!

I used BlueBiscuits colouring tutorial to help here (mostly because I don’t know what I’m doing half the time lol) anyway, it worked out fairly well.

My first inktober drawing… I kept pinching the paper to zoom in 😂. Sadly, traditional doesn’t work like that… I have to bring my face closer to the paper. Inking is scary, but fun.

I’ve been getting back into My Hero Academia lately (currently in the middle of S5) and I had the desire to draw some fanart from memory. Todoroki and Bakugou turned out okay but Deku`s eyes messed me up lol. I forgot how small his irises are!!!!
