A crazy AU me and @hixystix were talking about. I think they may be writing it, so I'm super excited. Basically a freshly-knighted young Jedi Zeb, assigned a young Antarian Ranger in lieu of a Padawan, at the start of the Clone Wars -all the way until Order 66 and beyond. Rangers are legends stuff, but also looks like new canon! XD so excited!

Summary: Peter and Wade are dating and Steve and Tony do not approve. While they're fighting one night, Wade calls Peter saying that he is thinking about hurting himself. Peter goes against his parent's wishes. LOVE CONQUERS ALL MOTHERFUCKER.

Excerpt:

Wade was never allowed to come to the tower. That was one of Tony's rules. There were many others concerning Wade, but that was the main one his father emphasized. Peter Stark-Rogers had learned to work around that rule though. It came with lots of trial and error but, as his dads had taught him, there were loopholes around any and everything. Tonight's loophole featured a four-hour-long SHIELD debriefing outside of Stark Tower on the actual SHIELD campus and Iron Man and Captain America's required attendance. The other Avengers had gone along as moral support. Eight hours alone and Peter fully intended to spend every one of them with his boyfriend.

Peter sighed, leaning fully back into the warmth of Wade's chest behind him. He had just got done training and the tension was just beginning to leave his muscles when two hands traced his shoulders. Fingers wrapped loosely around his neck in a comforting hold. Wade groaned tiredly. He had just got done working and had come straight to the tower, as per Peter's request. They'd already showered and changed and were currently watching - but not really watching - some old movie that Peter was pretty sure he'd seen before. They had spent nearly two hours cuddled on the couch, along with the other two they spent in the shower, but it only felt like a few minutes. Time always moved faster when he was with Wade. It was both a blessing and a curse. They only had so long left together and Peter always made Wade leave an hour early just to be safe. He needed to be extra careful when it came to dealing with his dad.

why did you stop writing superbat?

Cuz I wanted to, I guess. At the end of the day that’s probably the only coherent answer I can give.

But also, as I began to read more and watch more (I guess this was right about when New 52 emerged) I was really struck by the different things they were doing with the Batman and GL dynamic. It was really compelling. Like..... REALLY compelling. I remain convinced it is the single most interesting way to read both those characters.

But the other thing is, I don’t think I’ve ever written a story in which Clark — and his relationship with Bruce — is not absolutely central to the story. I do still write Superbat, even if I’ve become convinced that a non-sexual interpretation of their relationship is probably the most convincing. Not all love is romantic, and I am very much in love with their friendship love.
