Changes in artstyle and character design approach can be so funny sometimes since both of these puppies are from the same franchise. Like a reverse version of how South Park horses looked. Guess it was inevitable since Precure has been going on for 2 decades now. Both dogs are valid btw this wasn't really meant to be a criticism but more of a slightly funny observation.

Parasol Princess - Witch Walker

The most basic and common enemy in Parasol Princess and the games equivalent to Goombas, Waddle Dees, Mets etc.

These things are creations of one of the main antagonists so they technically aren't naturally occurring creatures in the context of the games world that impede Joy on her journey with their only method of attacking being running towards her to attempt to bite her as soon as they see her.

Sailor Saturn's Darkness

Hotaru Tome the Sailor Guardian of Silence and Mistress 9 the Messiah of Silence from Sailor Moon. Originally I was going to draw Mistress 9 the same way I drew Hotaru but that idea ended up being too similar to multiple official artworks and other fanarts of the character so I decided a more silhouette like approach would help this artwork standout from them (as well as the fact that it made it easier to draw her as a bonus). Partially made via tracing over official artworks for Hotaru and a screenshot of Sailor Moon Crystal for Mistress 9.

Parasol Princess - Scott Scarf

Joy's fiancé who became extremely cocky due to successfully rescuing her countless times in the past with the aid of his magic, extending scarf with said cockiness inevitably biting him in the rear one day and ends up getting kidnapped himself as a result.

The guy getting kidnapped on his and Joy's wedding day is basically what kickstarts the entire plot. He's far from the only one in distress in the story but I thought a basic concept of a princess who gets rescued by her prince a lot repays him by rescuing him when he gets kidnapped was a cute premise. I promise the story has a bit more to offer beyond the simple premise. Due to all of the adventures he's had he has inevitably also made a lot of enemies along the way that mostly consist of villains who have kidnapped Joy in the past (which is a lot) and said villains attempt to take their anger out on Joy as a result.

He's described by others as being incredibly brave and heroic but also equally brash, stupid and also has main character syndrome. Janice describes him as dumber than her sister and only rescues her so often just to make himself look good and constantly questions why Joy fell for him in the first place whereas Joy describes him as being her selfless knight in shining armour who's always there for her when she's in need of rescuing and feels he does so because he cares for her that much and she gets rather defensive when Janice badmouths him as a result.

Parasol Princess - Janice Jewel

Joy's older sister who reluctantly joined her on her journey due to her mother forcing her since she thinks the adventure would help the two of them get along better. She is more of a non action supporting character to either give Joy advice or insult her when she's doing something stupid.

The simple idea behind her is that she's meant to be the straight man (or straight woman?) to the crazy situations both Joy and her (but mostly Joy) end up in and is meant to be a foil for Joy as well as other characters the two meat along the way.

She is described by others as being the polar opposite to her sister in many ways which is made obvious by how since Joy is bubbly, cheerful, kind and oddly doesn't seem to be that affected by Janice being mean to her even if she really wants her respect, Janice is pessimistic, sarcastic, constantly tired and rather disrespectful of others especially her younger sister who she describes as often making a fool out of herself and incredibly stupid. She also considers herself to be the most normal person in the entire cast of characters though it's obvious to others that she envies Joy due to her being next in line for the throne and she isn't and really hates her parents as a result.

Scourge vs Evil Ben 10

Self explanatory evil alt universe Sonic the Hedgehog vs evil alt universe Ben Tennyson. Why Evil Ben from the Ben 10 reboot and not Albedo? Very simple really, Albedo can't actually transform into Alien X whereas Evil Ben can and that a Celestialsapien fighting Scourge in his super form makes for cooler visuals anyways. Partially made via tracing over a screenshot of Alien X for Evil Ben, various Sonic Advance sprites and Archie Sonic comic panels for Scourge but in an attempt that was transformative.

Anyone else think it's a missed opportunity that Ganondorf is the only male Gerudo we've seen in the entire Zelda series despite it being established that a male is born every 100 years? I don't think I've even seen Zelda OCs take advantage of this concept as well which is also weird since you'd think more fanartists would take advantage of this aspect of the lore.

Is it corny to draw your comfort character holding the Palestinian flag as a way to show support? Yes but I'm also not the only one doing it (I'll post a link to the twitter thread for those that don't know:https://twitter.com/onionfaye/status/1751189682820620426). Is it important to help those in need even if the most you can do is by spreading awareness? Also yes. Partially made via tracing over random images of watermelons I found on google images and official art of Meiko Mochizuki and tried to be transformative with said tracing as usual.

Parasol Princess - Prince of Eyes

First time drawing long dreads (it probably shows but oh well there's always next time in case this isn't good enough). A reoccurring mid boss in Parasol Princess who the player fights a total of 4 times much like Rose but whereas Rose fights primarily with a rapier and rose themed magic, Prince of Eyes fights using a magic sword which gives him eye themed magic, flight and teleportation and of course later fights add more attacks.

Whereas Rose is a comic relief rival, Prince of Eyes is more mysterious rival who also plays a more mentor like role for Joy. No one really knows what his actual name or backstory is. Some say he's the prince of a fallen kingdom who likes fearing fancy suits and others say he isn't actually a prince, he just likes the title dressing in fancy suits but all of them involve the fact that he seems to like dressing dapper in some way.

He is described by others as being rather quiet and confident but also rather cocky and extremely disrespectful to his foes and people he doesn't like (specifically royalty which seems strange at first considering he calls himself a prince but I'm sure that's not foreshadowing to something that happens later in the story am I right?) though he also seems to be one of the first people that Joy meets on her journey to actually respect her (key being words one of) making her a weird exception at first. He doesn't talk much so he tends to try to teach Joy through his actions and fights rather than words so she can better fend for herself who doesn't seem to mind this aspect about him even though her sister is not a fan of this method.

Parasol Princess - Rose Rhodonite

A reoccurring mid boss in Parasol Princess who the player fights a total of 4 times. Her fights of course utilise a combination of her rapier, super speed (thanks to magic) and rose themed magic with the first one being the most basic of the bunch.

Much like Joy, she is a damsel in distress turned heroine but unlike Joy she is much more experienced while also being incredibly vain, egotistical and petty with a one sided rivalry with Joy (she's also that girlboss damsel turned heroine I mentioned in Joy's profile). She is also a lesbian who uses her job of saving other princesses as an over glorified excuse to find a romantic partner but unfortunately has terrible luck with women since they're either already taken, straight or both (kind of like how Brock from Pokémon has bad luck with girls but in the form of a lesbian knight lady). Her rivalry with Joy only occurs after being humiliated by being defeated by her (that Joy's sister started) in their first fight and as such goes on a petty journey to one up the protagonist and possibly find a lover on the way.

She is described by others as being extremely good at her job, sometimes even being calling herself the best at it so being beaten by Joy is a massive blow to her ego but some have heard rumours that she secretly has self loathing issues to the point that she thinks that saving damsels is the only thing she's good at.

White Rose Rhodonite

During the player's 2nd fight with Rose she gains a brand new form with brand new abilities centred around photomancy (light elemental magic) which could potentially include ricocheting beams of light and firing balls of light on top of her already magic existing abilities.

Black Rose Rhodonite

During the player's 3rd fight the photomancy is replaced with umbramancy (darkness elemental magic) which could possibly include creating dark tendrils from the ground or making part of the screen completely dark for her to hide in.

Final Rose Rhodonite

The player's final battle with her combines both her White Rose form and Black Rose form (it was a pain figuring out what colour scheme to go with so I went with one based on Rhodonite jewellery such as their bright pink and dark grey colours) that incorporates all of the attacks from her 2nd and 3rd fights.

Parasol Princess - Joy Jewel

I made my own oc. She's meant to be the protagonist for an indie game called Parasol Princess but since I'm not a game designer as well as the fact that I can't program to save my own life I'm sort of stuck with just making concept artwork and sketches for a game that doesn't exist.

The basic premise behind the game in question is what if you took Kirby's parasol copy ability and made an entire game around it plus a few bells and whistles here and there such as adding a few elements from various Mario games (specifically ones where Peach is playable) with the story starting off with a simple premise (at the start of the story) around the idea that a well meaning princess who's completely in over her head goes on an adventure to save her fiancé who has been kidnapped with the aid of a magic parasol her mother gave her that Joy assumes is some kind of family heirloom passed on from generation to generation. On the way she ends up meeting various other characters including other princess's she saves along the way. The story might also tackle some themes of ableism and bigotry here and there but it's a little too early to say for now.

The idea behind her is that she's meant to be a more comedic take on the damsel in distress to heroine trope you see but instead of starting off helpless and becoming a cool girlboss (I already have another character in the same story who technically fills that role as a rival) she's a well meaning butt completely in over her head girlfailure who inexplicably ends up saving the day (at least at the start of the story, it is a little too early to say).

Joy is described by others as a sweet, kind and bubbly but also extremely sheltered, kind of dumb and sometimes even annoying princess who, while usually well liked amongst others isn't exactly respected by others due to how often she got kidnapped in the past (she's lost count too) and also probably has something to do with ableism due to her autism as well (not every autistic character has to be a genius nerd you know). A big reason she goes on her quest aside from saving her prince is that she thinks it'll also get people to finally respect her and not see her as a joke including her older sister who's joining her on her adventure.
