Heka Talon Abraxas In Ancient Egypt Heka (Hike) was the patron of magic and therefore also of medicine. The Egyptian word for magic was “heka” (which literally means “using the Ka”) and Heka was the personification of magic. His name (and the word magic) were depicted as a twist of flax and a pair of raised arms. The flax was often placed with the arms, and was thought to resemble two snakes. According to myth, Heka fought and conquered two serpents, and so two intertwined serpents became symbolic of his power.

Something I've been curious about: Do the deities take issue with portrayals of themselves in fictional media? Like if there is a character written in their likeness or close to it, do they take issue with it and see it as a sign of disrespect? (Thinking of media like God of War, Marvel Comics, etc.)
Also will they become upset with people for indulging in those portrayals even though they can differentiate between the character and the deity?
I'm super new to this and wanted to check with someone that has experience in the field, and since I've been on and off of your blog for a while I thought you seemed like a trustworthy source of information.
Thank you for your time!
Typically, the deities (and demons) haven't seemed to appreciate any of their portrayals, but since it's such a common thing they usually ignore it unless the portrayal is overly insulting (then they may take action against it). One thing that the gods always take action against in their portrayals is when a game or other media portrays them as corrupt, or that you have to kill them. So God of War, for example, is hated by all the deities and they tend to not speak to people who play these games and enjoy it. Similarly, the new Assassin's Creed that so awfully portrayed the Norse gods is hated by this pantheon.
But most times, the gods ignore the portrayals because they're so used to humans being like this. You're allowed by them to indulge in these things (besides the games that include killing them - it wouldn't make sense to do this if you're pagan anyway), but you have to remember not to take their portrayals in things seriously, as they're just caricatures. So as long as you can differentiate, as you said, you're all good.
Thank you for asking <3

Hello Lillian, I hope you're doing well! I have a question about alters. My spouse and I have this piece of furniture that is layered with two surfaces (a main surface and a shelf on top) and a small storage space below with doors. They have designated the top most shelf as an alter, but I'm wondering about the lower, main surface. Could I possibly use that as an alter as well, or do alters need to be two separate spaces away from each other?
This will work fine if you place the two altars near by, so no need to worry or place it farther away

Hello, these are good questions, thank you <3 I will answer to the best of my knowledge:
“Why does God-Source allow evil entities and “tar entities” to exist who have the potential to harm humans or even souls?”:
The Source is not how Christians view their god; The Source values duality and spiritual evolution. In order to achieve evolution, there must be conflict within existence, which allows the beings to learn and struggle, therefore growing through difficulties and gaining wisdom. If there was only peace, think of what that would cause in the universe: stagnation and naivety. But with adversity, our awareness can be expanded, and we can hone ourselves into more powerful and wiser beings. Also, evil is often created by us, and The Source is not our baby-sitter who tries to shelter us from all harm; this supreme god makes us face our mistakes and struggle to learn why we should avoid these things. Tar spirits are often created by either Apep (which serves as the god of evil, giving the other deities an opponent to struggle against) or they are created from places on Earth that have a massive amount of concentrated evil; therefore we have to live with what others caused, and strive to prevent evil from happening rather than be completely forgiving and complacent.
“Are the patron deities who watch certain people, the same ones in each incarnation?”:
Some of them are deities from your past lives, but not all of them, as it also depends on what your current life mission is.
“If deities have existed long before humans, does that mean ancient humans knew the deities were real all along?”:
Yes, that is part of how humans learned to do many advanced things in the ancient times. And the priests and shamans were the ones able to communicate with their gods. It was never something imaginary or based solely on faith. It was a way of life, and it was just as real to them as the land they lived upon.
“Are certain deities incarnations of each other? (ex. Aphrodite, Inanna and Venus)”:
The deities don’t have incarnations of each other, but some have “aspects”, which is when an advanced god takes a shard of their energy and puts it into an unborn deity, so that that new deity will have some of their traits (while being a different being, sort of like their child in a way). Aphrodite is the exact same as Venus however, it’s just two different names for the same goddess. Inanna is very similar to her, but they aren’t aspects of each other. An example of an aspect would be Lucifer creating Prometheus.
“Can deities curse/destroy souls? If a person is rude to all deities, will he be left alone and preyed on?”:
If a person manages to anger all the deities, then they will be left without providence and will no doubt cursed by multiple (or more) gods. But the person wouldn’t get destroyed when they die. But if you want an extreme example, there was Paul who instigated the end of the pagan world and enforced Christianity into being. He angered all the gods by doing this and was condemned to Hell when he died. But this is an extreme example, because that person was evil to have this occur.
“What do the deities get out of watching over/working with humans? Why don’t they watch over animals or more advanced aliens or disembodied human souls with more knowledge?”
The deities want spiritual evolution, but they also miss the ancient times when the humans were close to them. The deities care about this planet also, and so seeing modern humans apparently doing all they can to destroy the planet (wars, pollution, etc), it causes severe concern, because this planet supports life, and is therefore precious. So they are trying to wake us up. The gods don’t watch over animals simply because they aren’t mentally evolved enough, and so what would the gods teach them? Some gods may protect certain species of animals, but they don’t act as mentors or check in on individual animals. Certain deities watch over other species on other planets, but most of the gods in the universe get stationed to certain planets, which they bond with over millennia. As for dead humans who are now in the spirit realm, they usually are able to look after themselves, but they can interact with the gods in a superior way, as they can now hear and see them, and can also be granted permission sometimes to enter their realms.
“How can the deities watch over all humans at once? Is everyone watched by deities/angels/demons, and if so which ones and why?”
They don’t watch over all humans at once, that’s why they split into pantheons and also select certain humans around the world who connect with their teachings. Everyone is watched over by at least 4 or 5 deities, but most people don’t have demons or angels closely watching over them and acting as guides (this typically happens for those who work with them). However, angels and demons both influence things on this planet, and influence groups of people or individuals, but in very different ways from each other. Angels, like the Virtues, have the role of trying to impart wisdom of virtuous traits to humans, whereas demons encourage unconventional ideas, revolutions, and dynamic change. Also, spirits are able to watch over various people at the same time because their minds aren’t limited as humans are, so they are able to have multiple areas of focus.
“Why do deities watch over humans when the majority of them cannot sense them or don’t worship them anymore?”:
Because the gods don’t do this for themselves, they do it to encourage progress and spiritual evolution. Even if they are never worshipped, they seek to bring necessary changes into others, and to watch progress unfold.
Guide to Working with Deities
Tumblr media
Gods and goddesses are extremely ancient beings of immense power and wisdom. There are some who have been alive since the beginning of the universe, long before humans or any other mortal beings were brought into existence (the most ancient one being Lucifer). And others were created later on, either by the Greater Deities outside this universe, or from being born as children of deities in this universe. When the mortal races began being created, there were gods who began forming pantheons to watch over them and be in charge of their progress.
The children of these pantheon gods often remained in the pantheon as well; however, most deities don’t limit themselves to just one pantheon, as they often go to multiple other lands (or sometimes other planets) to help different people, or approach certain individuals who they see worth in. They weren’t always included in the other pantheons because of this, since these deities weren’t staying permanently and would approach other cultures and individuals as they saw fit. Also, there are many deities who aren’t known to any culture, since they choose not to have any divine duties and simply want to enjoy existence in peace, or to focus solely on their own evolution.
All deities tend to be serious to some degree, but some are more approachable than others since they can be a bit more laid-back. But it is important to remember that gods are not like humans; yes they have passions, get married, and enjoy life, but they do not have a human mentality. They have all experienced thousands of years, millions of years, or even more (for the very ancient gods). They also have a much higher perspective than we do, and are extremely mature as beings with immense insight. So they will not agree with everything that humans think is moral, and they also don’t tend to act how people expect them to, since they are very deep and advanced beings and they don’t have human behaviours; they’re separate beings entirely to us.
The gods are also not always going to be nice towards you, since many will be serious or some may even be harsh; these things depend on the deity’s personality and also their method of teaching. But overall, the gods are just and operate based on their own wisdom (unless the deity is malevolent, which a few known ones are, such as Apep). Besides that, plenty of deities have even killed humans who angered them greatly, often those humans who desecrated their temples or harmed humans they cared for. So they are not usually as peace-loving and forgiving as some may think.
Who to Work With
Which deity you work with is largely up to you. The majority of deities welcome any human who is respectful and spiritually open, and are often happy to help you learn and develop through lessons of wisdom. So if there is a deity you feel a strong pull towards, it’s likely that you either worshipped them in a past life, and/or you are destined to worship them in this life in order to learn significant things about yourself and your life mission. In these cases, you are encouraged to reach out to that god and speak with them. The deities are always pleased to listen to serious spiritual questions from you, and to help guide you with things that are important in your life. If you aren’t certain if the deity wants to help you with something, you only need to ask them through tarot, which is the best way if you don’t have accurate enough astral hearing.
Different Levels of Worship
You can worship as many deities as you like, but the level of worship depends on how devoted you wish to be. The most basic level of worship is general reverence towards a god or goddess, showing your love, gratitude, and deep respect for them. This can be done by speaking to the deity on occasion, whenever you feel the need, and to offer them praise and an offering. This can be done for many deities who you feel the desire to honour, but not to be very close to.
The next level is when you wish to be deeply devoted to a god or goddess. This means that you will request the deity of your choosing if they can watch over you closely and help guide you on multiple areas of your life, or on something specific that is important to you. This deity will act as your mentor in a way, and will expect you to speak with them often (not every day, but not to go months without speaking). You also don’t have to give them offerings every day or week even; usually, offerings should be given when you feel the desire to show your love, and when the deity does something to help you.
A deity will never force you or command you to worship them, and they also will not abuse or cause harm to you (unless the deity is malevolent- but the vast majority of gods in the pantheons aren’t malevolent). However, if you do something to anger the deity, either by showing unwanted lust towards them, calling them nicknames, or speaking about them in a disrespectful manner, the gods are more than likely to punish you in some way, depending on what they believe deserves to be done. Often, this punishment may take the form of a curse, which is very powerful and cannot be removed like a human-made curse.
But it should also be noted that there are many deities who will put you through a period of hardship in order to help you evolve. This is typically done with people who are more spiritual and aren’t casually worshipping the deities. Yet these challenges aren’t as severe as the challenges demons give to their worshippers, since the Left Hand Path is harsher than both the Middle Path and Middle-Left Path, which the majority of deities follow. Since these pantheon gods typically follow either the Middle or Middle-Left Path, they strongly value wisdom, self-mastery, balance, connection to the Earth, and strength of heart. So you may be tested in these things to help you grow and become better as a person, and to also overcome your weaknesses. Yet they (and demons) will not put you through anything that will damage your life, your mental health, physical health, or anything you aren’t truly ready for. They all can see into us and know what we can and cannot currently handle; so if something bad like the above happens while worshipping a god or demon, please don’t assume it’s them and instead ask them what is happening. The likely answer is that other things are at work, possibly negative energy from the world, your human rivals, a curse from a witch, or simply just difficult circumstances in life, which happen to everyone.
Though keep in mind that there are some gods who are actually malevolent and enjoying harming humans as their role, some examples include Apep and Eris (goddess of enmity and discord).
Patrons
Every person is guided by at least 4 or 5 deities during their lives- these gods and goddesses are ones who watch over the person and help them learn things that will contribute to their life mission. Usually, these deities don’t make themselves known to the people they watch over, especially since the majority of humans aren’t very spiritual. Sometimes, one of these gods may even leave the person at some point if the person completes a certain lesson that the deity was teaching them. So with their role completed, the deity will move on.
How to Work with Deities
When working with deities, it is very important to remember to be respectful and to know your place with them- don’t view them as your buddy to make jokes with or to think you are equal with them. They are gods, and they will always be far more advanced than any human. Deities also tend to become irritated when humans place labels on them or view them as if they are characters in stories; they don’t view these things the way you do and see this as very disrespectful. They expect their followers to take them seriously and not view spirituality as a game, so be aware of this higher perspective and don’t bring the gods down to your level, because none of them will appreciate this and they may become distant. You don’t have to be overly polite however, but make sure to have manners and listen to them when they give you advice. Chances are that the god knows you far better than you know yourself; so when they have advice to give, pay attention to it and don’t take it for granted.
If you would like to request a deity to come to your home so you can speak with them in-person, this can be done. Remember though that the gods have their own lives and are often busy with divine tasks or personal matters, so if they don’t arrive right away or at all, don’t assume that they are ignoring you because they likely aren’t. Thankfully, gods are able to be in multiple places at once (to a certain degree), so this makes it even more likely for them to have the opportunity to visit followers who request their presence.
When the deity does arrive to you, it is polite to bow your head to them as a show of respect. The gods are all very tall but will shrink themselves a bit when inside your home (they tend to be almost ceiling-height). Make sure to make wise use of this time, since you have the honour of having a god visit you. You can ask them questions or use this time to understand them better; they don’t usually get impatient and are often glad to answer spiritual things or to give advice. When you are done speaking with the deity, it is good to let them know and they will depart.
Astral senses
Astral senses, such as astral sight and astral hearing, are both essential to strive for if someone wishes to be deeply spiritual. This is mostly because the best way to try and understand a deity is to speak with them; no book on mythology could ever show you the essence of a deity and how they truly are. But keep in mind that astral sight often takes around a year or more of constant practice to become very clear; so if you are devoted enough and wish to strive for this, the deities will acknowledge this. But astral hearing is much more difficult to be mastered, since it requires more years of practice while also learning how to tune-out your own identity and desires at will, to allow yourself to become void inside, becoming a vessel for the spiritual voices (this is not recommended to do if you have psychosis). If this skill is not developed properly, what one will usually believe to be a deity or spirit speaking to them often ends up being their own mind (voices that are mental projections), based on their preconceived ideas of how that deity/spirit behaves. This is why one must silence their self completely, and have no ideas of their own during astral hearing, which takes a lot of self-mastery, as well as years to be perfected.
But while the astral senses allow for a very deep connection to the gods, and is a very worthwhile goal to strive for, it is not the only way to communicate if you don’t have these skills yet. The other way one can speak with a deity or spirit (to a lesser degree) is through tarot cards, although it is best to develop an accurate skill in this practice beforehand. With tarot cards, you can mainly only receive advice from the deity or insight about yourself, as any other topic is too complex to receive answers from by cards, especially if you wish to ask what the deity is like. I would however strongly recommend people not to use pendulums for spirit communication since they are heavily unreliable. This is because pendulums are very sensitive to energies and can move over the simplest thing, even your own desire for where it should move. So because of this, it is unwise to use this object to speak with gods or any spirits, since it will more often than not tell you nonsense or things that you want it to tell you.
Also, don’t feel bad if you cannot hear or see the deities; they won’t get mad or impatient with you for this. The vast majority of people in the ancient times couldn’t do these things, since they weren’t devoted to a spiritual life (that’s what the priests/priestesses, oracles, or shamans were for). So if the best you can do is pray to them and allow their guidance to take form in your life, that is perfectly fine.
Imposter Spirits
On the topic of communicating with deities and spirits, there is a category of spirit that is not only highly malevolent, but they are often prone towards pretending to be someone they aren’t. These malicious entities are called tar spirits, which are beings made out of corrupt energy that looks like tar (these usually are spawned from the body of Apep). Tar spirits are in their millions and are constantly darting through Earth or going through cities to attack people, causing either minor problems or more serious issues (such as tempting people to commit suicide, causing mental disturbances, physical pains, or attempting possession).
But one of the most common things they do is pretend to be a deity or spirit that someone trusts; they often do this in order to use that form to try and seduce their human target, which will cause them to bring more tar spirits through causing a pregnancy in their astral body. Or, they may seduce that human and have sex with them often, which will cause that person to begin developing physical pains, illnesses, or mental issues.
Take note that it is rare for a god or spirit to be attracted to humans, especially in the modern times where people are even more incompatible with their personalities. It is also because many gods already have relationships with other deities, and so they may have no interest in such things for this reason. Another effect is that if the person begins to view deities sexually through these experiences, it will badly affect their spirituality and make it more shallow, as well as making it so that they don’t truly take the gods seriously anymore. So for all these reasons, make sure to be cunning and wise, and remember the warning signs of having an imposter spirit with you. Also, it is safer to speak to deities by directing your words through your mind to them (like telepathy), since the tar spirits won’t hear you this way.
Study the Mythology, but not as if it’s 100% true
This is another very common mistake that has occurred in new age spirituality, possibly because many people are used to religions like Christianity, where the “holy” books are claimed to be true and unquestionable. But for the ancient civilizations, they didn’t do this. Their mythology was often either three things: a true account (which may or may not have been embellished over-time by other story-tellers), a teaching story using the gods and allegories to bring lessons of wisdom and morality, or a story of the gods written for entertainment purposes only (like for theatre)- these were not always respectful to the deities however, which would sometimes anger the gods. But even for the myths based on true accounts, be aware that the spiritual humans who witnessed these events usually did not fully understand what was taking place, as the events of the divine are greatly complex. So these were myths written by the perspectives of the humans who knew of them, and over time, may have been embellished even further.
The only way to truly know what is real and what isn’t is if you master your astral abilities, but since this is uncommon and takes years, it is best to read the myths with a pinch of salt. You can also ask some gods if a certain myth is true or not, and you can draw tarot cards to ask them how they feel about it. This may not be the best way to get answers, but it can help a little, especially if they feel strongly for or against the story.
For example, Athena doesn’t like the myth where it’s said she cursed a woman to become a spider- she explains this was simply a metaphor for the spider goddess. And she also explains that Medusa was never a victim, since that was a poem written by a Roman (Ovid), whereas the original Greek myth told the truth- that Medusa was born monstrous and was always malicious. That is why the Greek warriors had Medusa’s severed head on their shields, since bearing her head was a sign of achievement over evil (which is also why Athena is adorned with this symbol).
Ways to Bond with Deities
There are many things you can do to bond with the deities. You can create art for them, sing for them, write devotional poetry, speak with them, etc. Many gods value their followers’ acts of love and care, since they care for many of us.
The gods all have been through great pain and hardship over their long existences, and many of them mourn over their lost civilizations which were raped and destroyed by the Abrahamic invaders, eventually causing the descendants of their own people to turn against them. Even now, people everywhere are continuing to break the temples that are already in ruins, or smashing ancient sculptures. So when a human anywhere in the world calls upon a deity out of respect, that deity will often see that human as worthy to be approached. They wish to help us end the dark ages of spirituality and to see reality as it actually is- not by making jokes about the gods or seeing things in simplistic ways, but to truly experience the spiritual and to see the grand complexities of existence.
Offerings
When giving offerings to the gods, it should usually be something that they connect with energetically, but they also tend to accept things that you give purely out of love. But for incense, it must be a scent they connect with energetically, otherwise it will be unsuitable (for instance, one should never offer a soft scent to Ares, like something floral). Incense should also be bought at a good quality and not something cheaply made. Offerings are meant to be sacrifices, wherein you sacrifice your own time or money to obtain something the deity would like, and you then devote it to them. Offerings can also be artwork you make for them or poetry you write for them, or even to create a digital altar for them (although it is best to have a physical altar if possible).
When you have given an offering to a deity, you should place it on their altar or on a clean surface if no altar is available. Make sure to announce to the deity that the offering is for them, bow your head, and then you can leave. If the offering is food or drink, you may leave it there for around a day, but do not partake of them. After the day, you can take the food and/or drink and respectfully discard it down the sink or into the trash. If the food was something solid (like chocolate), you can wrap it into a napkin while stating that you are discarding it into the trash as there is no other way. Make sure that you do not leave food or drink offerings out for a long time (like a week or more), as it has lost its essence, since the gods partook from it. Without its essence, the food/drink is energetically hollow and will begin to create a dip in the room if left for a long time. If the offering is something like an object, then you should leave it there at the altar or wherever you have a spot designated for that deity. This object cannot be used for yourself from then on, as it is a sacrifice. Also, if you offer a crystal to a deity, then that crystal can only be used to connect with them from then on.
All these efforts help you to be seen as respectable by the gods, and they will likely become more open towards you and doing more to guide you. It is also a way to train yourself spiritually, to see the beauty of sacrifice and to give something up for something greater.

Lilith
Demonic goddess of transformation, dark wisdom, mysteries, transformational love, challenges, magick, death and rebirth, spiritual initiation, and the night
Lilith is one of the most ancient goddesses, and is the twinflame of Lucifer, the First Light in the universe. She is incomprehensibly powerful and complex, and has existed for millions of years, continuously evolving. Overall, Lilith is the Queen Mother of Hell and the bringer of the luminous dark of terrible understanding. This is what Illumination is, and is a role she shares with her husband. Lilith is the Queen of Night; the Dark Mother who whispers from the shadows and guides us through the Path of Thorns. Those who wish to follow her walk this very path, seeking to become as the perfect crimson rose, blooming in the eternal Night.
History: In the Zohar legend (taken from Mesopotamian beliefs), Lilith has more than one mythical origin: the commonly known in which she was the first human who turned into a demon, and the other where she and Samael began as one being before splitting in two. The latter is closest to the story she shared with me. She tells how Lucifer, the first-born god, had sacrificed half of his essence in order to have a twinflame. From this sacrifice, the Queen of Heaven manifested Lilith from her divine light. All the gods who saw her were in awe. Lucifer and Lilith fell deeply in love and married, there is no love that can match theirs as it flows through all creation. She is a duplicate of his divine essence (as Lucifer is connected to the Source) and shares in his unmatched beauty, wisdom, and desire to evolve.
Lilith was born as a goddess of unequaled beauty and splendour, as the small form as the Queen of Heaven. Lilith was known as the Queen of Queens when she lived in the heavens with Lucifer, and had the role of guiding many different beings through spiritual evolution. Together with Lucifer, they have had many children whom are all beautiful and benevolent. Despite what the Zohar began saying, Lilith does not actually harm children and instead seeks to protect them. This was a misconception due to the night-demoness, Lilitu (part of the Mesopotamian “Lilin” group of Lilitu, Ardat Lili, and Lilu) being merged with the goddess Lamashtu. Lilith and Lilitu are slightly connected in essence, but Lilitu only has a small fragment of Lilith’s energy. She is one of Lilith’s minor aspects (an independent being who was born from a shard of Lilith’s energy), and who acts as the Madam of the Succubi. Lilith however is not a succubus, especially since she values romance and the devotion to her beloved. Overall, Lilith loves children and adores their innocence and potential. Yet she will leave them to fend mainly for themselves when they are old enough, so they can become strong and independent. This is the same as how she trains her followers, as she will have them fight for what they need while guiding them.
In ancient times, Lilith lived with Lucifer in their heavenly kingdom for hundreds of millions of years before the Usurper, Jehovah, took over the Earth and cast aside the other gods. Jehovah was an Aeonic deity (a creator god) who sought to claim the Throne of the Universe as his own in order to gain more power, and eventually bring his plans to the Earth. Lucifer began a rebellion against him with Lilith and many other gods, but all was in vain. After a traumatic war, their kingdom was destroyed by Jehovah, who then cast them into the nightmarish land of Hell. The gods who were banished to Hell had their essences change to become more dark and intense (which is why they developed dark wings and horns). Now as demons, Jehovah taught his human followers that these ancient gods were evil tempters and had them become known as their opposites (Lilith as infertility and murder when she is loving and motherly, Lucifer as lies when he is truth, Mammon as greed when he is generosity, Beelzebub as gluttony when he is health, etc).
In Hell, Lucifer and Lilith are the High King and High Queen of their kingdom where they live in a desert wasteland of eternal twilight. There are some oases and flower gardens here, surrounding the dark castle where they live. There are grotesque scenes of corrupt souls being tortured in the distance and also an isle where Lilith tortures all the people (especially the monks) who lusted after her, other demons, or human children. Despite what many believe about Lilith, she hates being sexualized and does not represent loveless lust. She values sex that comes with love and respect, of being appreciated and uniting with a loved one. She enjoys the pleasure of sexuality and unity,. Lilith despises people who lust after her and disrespect her, especially since she is married, so she will curse or even kill those who do this to her.
Element: Fire, Akasha, Air, Unity, and Void
Colours: Black and Crimson (secondary)
Sacred Number: 7
Day of Week: Friday, Monday
Appearance: Lilith is a hauntingly beautiful and slender woman with very long, wavy black hair, black-red eyes, fair skin, regal but gentle facial features, elegant black horns, and large black feathered wings. She always wears long black dresses with long, elegant sleeves. The style is most similar to romantic gothic fashion, and is very regal. Her voice is very soothing and calm, but radiates power.  In her formless form, Lilith is like an indescribable black-light, that shines with the brightness of a dark star. It shifts in complexity and beauty, similar to Lucifer’s formless form.
Personality: Lilith is dark, enigmatic, serious, elegant, withdrawn, eerie, and unfathomable in her personality. She is often cryptic and tends to teach through riddles, making it so that the Seeker must ponder and discover lessons instead of simply having answers handed to them. She usually prefers to be loved and feared equally, and never becomes laid-back with any of her followers. Although, with certain people, she may choose to show some of her motherly side. She is the Dark Mother who initiates us on the Path of Night, of discovering the truth within the darkness and embracing the flower of Black Flame. She can often be ominous and serious, full of dark majesty. Her wisdom was gained through mastering immense pain and loss, and she seeks to show others how to discover their true selves by following a disciplined spiritual path, where we find peace in the silence and the night. She teaches us that we must “die” to be Reborn, for our current self must be stripped away in order for us to evolve. She initiates her devotees into her Dark Garden, where they learn that in order to gain true happiness, beauty, and wisdom, they must suffer first and overcome it. That is why all roses draw blood, for you must make sacrifices in order to gain something truly rewarding.
When angered, Lilith becomes very cold and terrifying, which tends to happen when she is severely insulted by someone, who does this purposefully. During these times, she appears with deathly pale skin, red eyes with streaks of blood, and claws that are 6 ft in length, with which she lashes out at these people to tear apart their bodies. Her curses are also fearful and very powerful. Lilith also stands to uphold free-will, so any form of cruelty or oppression is never tolerated by her. Those who are tormented by the treacherous and cruel can call upon Lilith for her vengeance. Lilith also seeks to empower both men and women equally; she cares not for whether you are male or female, she only values the strength of your spirit and your undying desire for knowledge. These things are what make you worthwhile.
Her sacred animal is the snake, especially the black python. This is because it is the closest creature to her personality, and is also a symbol of primordial knowledge, wisdom, silence, and transformation. Most often, Lilith’s energy can either feel like red wine enshrouded by the night, or the deepest depths of the voids of space.
Lilith reigns over the times of shadow and the unknown, and when the world is exposed to the infinite depths of space. The night is a place of challenges, for the darkness tests all. Through our challenges and overcoming what we fear, we can become further empowered, as Lilith’s followers seek to continuously surpass themselves. She is the mistress of all hidden things and spiritual abilities, yet those who seek such things must prove their worth. There is much wisdom to be learned in the dark places, where the light cannot bring its blinding rays or any sense of security. The Seeker must be alone, facing their own self as they traverse the unfamiliar terrain.
Her enn (for meditation or devotion): Renich Viasa Avage Lilith Lirach
Specialties: Due to her great power as a highly evolved goddess, Lilith is able to help with nearly anything, if she agrees to it. However, some things she specializes in include the process of inner-alchemy, spirit senses, magick, divination, teaching dark wisdom, hidden things, lunar secrets, dark psychology, shadow work, poisons and poisonous plants, mysteries of death, romantic love, fidelity in romance, self-empowerment, development of beauty and charm, retribution upon the cruel, teaching how to overcome adversities, healing from traumas and depression, self-love, developing more endurance and resilience, and development of other forms of inner-strength. One of the things Lilith will always refuse to help with (besides acts of cruelty) is assisting in love magick, the kinds which force someone to be attracted to you. She teaches that this is not love, but a mind-domination placed on a person to restrict their free-will and violate them.
Offerings: Red wine, pomegranate juice, cherry juice, rose tea, rose-petal black tea, dark chocolate, chili chocolate, liquor-filled chocolate, pomegranates, goat meat, chicken hearts, Midnight Dahlia perfume, Fiore del Dragone perfume, silver rings with garnet, black heart-shaped lockets, gothic rose cameo necklaces, snake armlets, black/silver teardrop earrings, red roses, dead red roses, belladonna, garnets, black onyx, rubies, obsidian, silver chalices, dark masquerade masques, swords, daggers, snakeskins, snake bones, black silk (to cover altar), black antique plumed fans, red or black candles, elegant hand-held mirrors (silver), obsidian mirrors, tears cried after overcoming an ordeal, devotional poetry, her sigil made from sterling silver, snake figurines, spider figurines, black sphinx statue. Guide to Meditation
Many times, it is said that one must meditate by emptying their mind of thoughts, but this is only one method of meditation. In truth, meditation is much more complex than many may think, as there are many uses of it, but it is at the same time one of the easiest ways to improve your spiritual discipline. There are two primary ways of meditating: the silencing of thoughts, and the meditation where you focus on something (a spiritual teaching, a method of healing yourself, a sigil, etc). Personally, I have found the meditations of focusing on things to be much more rewarding than the silencing of thoughts, but you can do either or use both whenever you wish.
How to meditate: For any meditation, you need to begin by sitting somewhere comfortable (it can be in complete darkness, or during the daytime if you want; either way, you need to be alone). You can lay down to meditate if you need to, but it is best to do this while sitting up-right since your focus and flow of breath is better in this position. As you sit relaxed, you close your eyes and breathe deeply and slowly, relaxing your thoughts and bringing yourself into the present. As you breathe in, hold your breath for a couple seconds and then release it slowly, continue this for a few repetitions as you relax your mind.
Once you do that, you either stop your thoughts or you begin focusing on whatever you need to focus on (like a spiritual teaching). The only meditations where you don't close your eyes are when you want to stare directly into a sigil, yantra, or talisman in order to gain its benefits (you cannot use sigils or talismans without meditating on them, simply placing them somewhere doesn’t have any affects since your mind must connect with it). Additionally, meditation cannot be done by simply sitting relaxed and thinking of positive things, since this is simply relaxing and doesn’t go deeper than that.
If you find difficulty focusing or staying still during the process, you need to continue doing meditations and repeatedly discipline the mind and body to do as you wish. This can be painful, but it will gradually work if you remain determined with it, and the process will become easier. Also remember that during meditations where you must focus on something, you need to stay focused on it as much as possible; if you notice your thoughts drifting, make sure to immediately bring them back to your focus.
As you meditate, the process should gradually lull you into a deeply relaxed state. And so by the time you finish, your mind should feel rejuvenated. The effects of meditation become stronger the more often you meditate, so it may not seem to be doing much at first, so you must remain patient and continue until you gradually become more attuned to the impacts it has. For more experienced meditators, a meditation should normally last from 30 minutes to an hour, or longer if desired. If you are at this stage, deep meditation should begin to feel as if you are entering a trance-like state where your mind enters a different frequency which is lower and less active; this low frequency allows for better access to one’s astral senses if they’ve been developed enough. If you are a beginner to meditation, you should meditate for at least 10 minutes, but ideally for 20 minutes or longer. Overall, if you are a spiritual person, especially one who is focused on gaining Awakening throughout the years, you should meditate at least twice a week.
Things that can help meditation:
Mala beads
Incense
Tibetan singing bowls
Low-frequency ambience (not too much noise; a good example is Cryo Chamber)
Some people may meditate better in a dark room than a bright room
Best times for meditation tend to be either in the early morning or late night (calmer times of the day)
Meditation Examples:
Core meditation – This is the meditation to achieve core awakening, where you gain permanent access to your higher self and obtain easier communication with them. You must focus gently on the centre of your abdomen, right beneath your ribcage, and imagine a golden orb of light here. This needs to be done for 20 minutes, and to be performed every single day for at least one year (or else the progress is lost and it needs to start over). Ideally, this meditation should be done once you know of your higher self’s identity and name.
Meditation on the colour magenta – This colour has a specific frequency that helps you to gain access to your astral senses; this process happens very gradually and needs many repetitions, as well as your own training to gain these skills. You only need to stare into this colour (even an image from your phone) for at least 10 minutes, and to do this often. While you meditate on the colour, make sure you keep in mind your intention to gain astral abilities.
Meditation on a sigil, talisman, or yantra – Staring into a working sigil, talisman or yantra (these all need to be created in specific ways, not just designs). The meditation should last for at least 10 minutes.
Meditation while chanting a mantra or enn – This can also be done while staring into a yantra or sigil.
Meditation on a spiritual teaching – Any spiritual teaching you receive that you wish to ponder deeply upon.
Meditation without thought – Stopping the flow of thoughts so you can become mentally still; this is a meditation best for those who follow the Right Hand Path, seeking to remove their sense of self.
Meditation on the breathing-in of fire element – If you want to gain some closeness to the element of fire and gradually use it to help you become more empowered and aware of the strength you have, this is a good meditation to use (especially if you are following Demonic teachings). To perform this, begin the meditation process as usual and then project yourself into a vision- a temple with a blazing fire at the altar. Stand before the fire and focus on breathing it in deeply, hold it within yourself for a couple seconds, and then release it. Continue doing this as long as you need.
Meditation of the releasing of inner-burdens – This is a good meditation to help you become relieved from built-up stress. Begin the meditation as usual and then visualize yourself in the depths of space when ready, with only darkness and stars in the distance. As you breathe in, visualize your inner-burdens gathering up together inside you, then hold it, and breathe out slowly as you exhale the burden into space. Continue this as long as you need.
Meditation of oneness with Nature – This is for sitting outside in a tranquil area with trees and plants. Sit comfortably in the grass and begin the meditation as normal. As your mind relaxes, vividly imagine that you are a tree and have spent all your life in this spot, communicating through senses with the other plants. Imagine you have roots going deep into the ground, and pay attention to what you sense from nature’s energy.
Meditation to rise above despair – When you are feeling strong emotions of despair, and these are threatening to take hold of you and cause you to weep, you can use this meditation if you use your will-power. As you are experiencing this pains and mental darkness, visualize yourself in the labyrinth of your mind and begin projecting bright flames into all the corridors, destroying the lies of your Shadow so you can begin seeing the truth of what is happening. Tell yourself that you know it’s just a lie repeatedly, and then project yourself quickly upwards as if you have giant wings, so you expand beyond the labyrinth, high above it. Imagine yourself as a burning black flame here, and hold your focus to bring yourself into a more controlled state of mind. Focus on filling your mind with either a tranquil darkness or a blazing light, whichever best suits you.
Meditation of fire-staring – This is a traditional meditation method in Tantric practices. You simply need to light a candle in a dark room and sit before it. Stare directly into the flame without blinking for as long as you can.
Meditation of the Wasteland – This is a meditation for more serious practitioners who wish to challenge themselves; though refrain from this if you are prone to depression. For this, begin the meditation as usual and then vividly visualize yourself in a bleak wasteland, with only grey craggy rocks and a dark cloudy sky above. There are no plants or other signs of life, only you and silence. You must walk through this wasteland and come to terms with what has been lost in the past, and what must be lost in order to grow (negative habits, toxic people, arrogance, envy, materialism, etc). As you wander the wasteland, pull these negative attachments out from yourself, as if they are a black vapour, and throw them into the distance where they dissipate. Exit this meditation whenever you feel ready.
